We had a mini split installed at a competitive price. We were able to schedule an install really quickly after finally deciding to get one and the installation was done professionally, quickly, and arrived on time. I would recommend Collins to anyone.

UPDATE: August 25, 2021Everything in my previous review was true at the time and remains so. My new A/C systems and controls provide superior performance and the house is cooler overall with less power consumed than before.Except that a Catastrophic Failure occurred exactly one month after the install. An installer had simply neglected to glue one of the PVC condensation drain line fittings after dry-fitting it. A few weeks later, after a period of high humidity and heavy condensation use, it came loose and flooded my attic, extensively damaging insulation and the ceiling below. (See photo)In B-School they call this a service quality recovery opportunity, and to Collinss credit, they promptly started on repairing the damage -- starting by gluing the fitting.First, they sent Dry Force Water Removal Specialists to assess the damage and begin the drying-out process. This involved placing a half-dozen very large vertical drying fans and a dehumidifier in the hallway and my home studio where ceiling damage was severe. The fans ran 24x7 for the next two-and-a-half weeks, with a noise level slightly below that of a jet engine. Of course, the studio was unusable. (See photos)After several visits, Dry Force determined the ceiling and attic interior were dry. Collins then sent Brenner Construction to do demo and repair. At this point, it was necessary for me to move all my sound, recording, and computer gear out of the studio before Brenner could start work. A crew of two spent a couple of days removing damaged drywall and insulation, then a second crew of three spent another two days replacing insulation and drywall and repainting the hallway and studio walls and ceiling. (They left the color-matched paint they got for my future use.) Now its another four hours or so moving gear back into the studio so I can resume using it.During the whole process, Collins, Dry Force, and Brenner management and technicians were thoroughly professional. At this point, things look good and Im satisfied the proper remediation has been done.Except that the remediation shouldnt have been needed in the first place, and I shouldnt have had to undergo a month of disruption, and a lot of time and labor by me spent dealing with the situation.So bottom line, Im taking off one star from my review because of that disruption. And Collins Im sure has learned a very expensive lesson in quality control. They stood behind their work and have made things right, and I would do business with them again.ORIGINAL REVIEW: July 9, 2021My whole experience with CCM has been outstanding, from the first contact at Costco, through the sales presentation, installation, and follow-up. And the performance of the new systems they provided is superb.After several frustrating service calls to my home warranty company, I decided to upgrade two 30+-year-old single-stage units to variable speed Lennox heat pump systems from CCM. Pricing was good, including substantial rebates from SRP and Costco. They even lent me a portable A/C unit for a few days prior to the installation!The professional installation team led by Chris G. removed the existing museum-piece systems and replaced them with new 3- and 5-ton compressor (ground) and air handler (attic) systems, as well as upgrading the filter in a third air handler. At peak, there were eight (!!) crew members involved in the installation, all of which was accomplished in a single hot Midsummers Day.[text cut to fit character limit]Follow-up was just as good. A remodeling firm contracted by CCM rebuilt the attic closet scuttle hole on one side of the house and installed a new (aluminum!) pull-down ladder in the garage. Like other home infrastructure upgrades, theres not much new to look at, but the performance is orders of magnitude better.I usually rate things done properly to my high expectations as satisfied, but this is a rare instance where Im DELIGHTED! I recommend Collins Comfort Masters without reservation.

Matt and Josh were two very expert and likeable technicians. They arrived on time, carefully explained what had to be done and then set about doing it in a professional manner. Removing my old A/C unit and installing a new one took all day but they did a fine job. Before leaving they cleaned up the area and made sure that my new unit was functioning properly. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Installers did a great job and left the home clean. System is very quiet . Only complaint is regarding the thermostat. Installer couldnt explain the features and how to program them. Because of that had an issue when system didnt shut down after reaching set temp. A tech called about 8pm and I told him not to come because I finally figured out what the problem was. Follow-up on the company end was not so good. Someone should have followed up to see if we had any questions on any aspect of the system. If follow-up was better would have given 5 stars.

The technician was the best we have had in the many years we have lived in this area. He provided us with a portable unit until they could install our AC. Very pleased and appreciated the help that was given to us. This company, along with office workers, technician and installers came through for us. They all deserve 5 stars plus!!

My AC units have worked well, but it was time to replace them. Through Costcos program I talked with Comfort Masters about the replacement. Our sales rep (Monty) was knowledgeable and courteous. We decided to use the 2 stage Lenox systems. We were scheduled to replace 2 units, one each day. The installers (Cirilo and Edgar ) came a few days later and expertly replaced both units in one day. Wow! Thank you.

To start the tech was nice and I thought the work was done correctly, however an hour after leaving my system started to blow nothing but hot air in the middle of Aug. Once they return, they realized the wires were installed incorrectly. Fast forward a week later, I started to get billed for other peoples homes work on my credit card. I called to notify them and ask for a refund on the homes I was charged for on my card. Its been 2 months and still no refund. Each time I call in, they say accounting isnt available or it will be processed tomorrow. Not only am I billed for others services, I receive their emails as well. This company is not professional at all and I would avoid them at all costs. What company uses your card information unauthorized to pay for other customers.

Beyond the annual replacement of R/O filters and batteries, Dustins review of our water heater, with the necessary addition of a new anode rod, should add years to the life of the unit.

We had two new units installed in November 2017. I experienced an issue with one of my thermostat August 2021 and contacted Collins Comfort Masters to set up a “warranty repair.” The service technician arrived on time, was very professional and thoroughly inspected the thermostat and a/c system. Unfortunately he couldn’t find out why it went blank for the last two days but definitely ran it through a battery of tests. I had done some research on my own and discovered that the model they installed has had issues and is no longer being manufactured. In order to avert having the same problem I inquired about having it replaced with an updated version. He said he could and the cost would be $330.00. After I declined he charged me $89.00 for a service call and went in his way. My dissatisfaction is two fold. Number one I don’t think I should have been charged $89.00 after I just spent $20,000.00 having two units installed. Number two, I don’t think I should be charged $330.00 for a new thermostat. I chose Collins Comfort Masters because they are affiliated with Costco and if you’re a member of Costco you know they stand behind everything they sell and have one of the best customer service reputations in the country. I can’t say the same for Collins Comfort Masters. Beware if the salesman tells you the warranty is actually handled through Costco as it was told to me. This is simply not true. To be fair, the installation of the two systems was outstanding. The service afterwards has proven to be much less than that.

Contacted Collins for a full ac/heating system replacement along with adding ducting to warmer parts of the house. Everyone we had contact with was professional and responsive to our needs and questions. They showed up on time and stayed on schedule. Great attitudes, no excuses and left our house in a condition like they were never there. Very pleased with the entire experience.

Got their name from General Electric to service a General Electric water softener. It took them 2 weeks to show up to diagnose what was wrong with our water softener, when the tech look at the unit his first words were Oh one of those pieces of S_ _ _. Remember, these are the guys General Electric recommend, and he is talking about my General Electric unit.The unit has worked very well for the last 8 years and I hoped it just needed to be serviced. I had done my homework so I knew a new unit cost about $600.00 dollars, the tech said he could repair the unit for $1300.00 but it would take weeks to get the new parts at best. The Tech then said he would not spend the money to repair the unit. He thought we should replace the unit, and his company had the just what we needed to replace our piece or S _ _ _ _. He then told us today was our lucky Day, he could give us his companys Loyal Customer Special Discount, if I would sign the contract today I could get the replacement unit for only $4900.00 with our special discount. Well, today was our lucky day, I paid the tech $125.00 for his very informative service call and told him we would think about it. After he left I purchased a new unit for $559.00 and put it in myself. These guys are only out to take advantage of people that do not know any better and get all the money they can, In my opinion they are two notches below a dishonest used car salesman.

My old AC system quit during hot spell and was in panic. Called Collins and Mike Robertson was out same day. He trouble shooted and I had to decide weather to repair or finally replace. Mike gave me some decent numbers and I decided it was time to replace after 21 years. Mike was very interested in helping me. Two days later they did the install. Mathew and Richard did the install and worked very hard on a very hot day. They kept me posted every step of the way and went out of their way. Collins has some very good people working for them and they are lucky to have them. It was easy to give them all a 5 star.

We had Cirilo and Edgar out to replace and upgrade our AC unit a week ago Friday. They were amazing, courteous, and professional. They had our unit all installed in one day, and it was so nice to have partial AC back on.Then on Monday last week, we had Ty, Carson, and Eric out for a totally new install, in addition to our existing unit. It was a really big job, one that took 2 full days of hard work and lots of effort. The install went really well, and we are very happy with the results. They kept us informed and included us in all the decisions with the new install.We are very happy we went with CCM, as this was a very large job. They exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend them, as well as use them for future projects.

I reached out to Collins after having two other A/C companies (assigned to me by my home warranty company) fail to perform as they could not resolve my A/C issue. My Collins technician, Eric Lopez, was very competent, prompt and professional. He correctly diagnosed the issue on his first visit and resolved the issue the next day after going back for a part. I had been without A/C for three weeks trying to deal with two other service providers and Collins resolved my issue in 24 hours. Ill call them first next time.

My air conditioner broke. I’m scheduled for new air conditioning to be installed but they brought me a portable room cooler to help until the new air conditioner gets installed. Thank goodness! I’m very grateful for that option to help me get through this time until I have my new one installed. Everyone has been super nice and helpful, from the Sales Department to the Office Coordination, to the person who brought this to me and set it up. Each and every one of them treated me with courtesy and respect as well as care for my needs. Thank you again!

I highly recommend Collins Comfort Masters. I connected with Collins via Costco for a new water heater installation. I have been impressed from the get go with everyone Ive come into contact with at Collins. Working with Chuck in talking through the systems, cost, installation, etc - he was very detailed and patient, I didnt feel he was rushing through the process. He covered everything and made some recommendations to help our systems along, whether we went with Collins or not. He was very responsive and got us up and running within a day, which was critical with the latest heat wave we experienced. We had a portable unit brought to the house to get us to installation. Again, very detailed and helpful, she got it up and running and answered any and all questions. I believe Kelly confirmed the appt with me, and like everyone else - friendly, courteous and patient. The install guys were great too - Ty and Thomas were very friendly, respectful and informative, asking questions and walking us through the process. Sylvano and Daniel L. were also very respectful and courteous - the overall customer experience was excellent, it really was next level. The installation went well, very detail oriented with the entire process and no concerns about them cutting corners or racing to get the job done, all while battling the heat - they have it down to a science. All in all, an extremely positive experience from beginning to end - and super impressed with the employees, it really is a culture that they have cultivated, and it shows. I would absolutely recommend.

The sales experience could and should have gone much better than it did. With the sales part over finally, the installation was performed by two very experienced technicians. The new unit is powerful and quiet. Still some problems with the thermostat but working to fix them. Wish that I could have given a higher rating but the sales thing was very upsetting.

Showed me how the system works. Tried setting me up on the water softener app and said they would call back later since they couldnt get ahold of the office, but they actually came back in person and made sure I was set up.

Neil was my sales representative sent out by Costco. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made it affordable for us to get a new AC system. Matthew and Edgar P came out to install the new AC unit yesterday. I can’t say enough about how professional they were. They noticed that my new unit had a dent in and called to have a replacement brought while working on the duct work. There was absolutely no down time. Matthew helped me set up my new thermostat and explained the features and benefits of all of my new products. No mess was left behind. Enjoyed the entire buying and installation process of our new Heating and Air conditioning system Salesman (Neil C.) was knowledgeable, friendly and wasnt pushy.Installation crew (Shey P, Richard S and Avery M) were very profession, knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. They explained what they were going to do and answered questions politely and completely. The were careful to protect our property in the work area and cleaned up after themselves. A supervisor stopped by about half way through the project to make sure all was going well and to answer any questions I had.I would highly recommend this crew.

My technician, Dan, was very knowledgeable, thorough and efficient. He came out to address an issue I thought I had and ended up finding 2 other issues that he corrected. Outside of that I ended up signing up for a maintenance contract for two years. I guess it is worth it, and it makes sense, but I wish I had been better prepared to deal with that when my system was installed in the first place back in February. He seemed to complete what had not been initially completed. I guess one can say it all comes out well in the end.

I used Collins because of their relationship with Costco. Everyone I had contact with by phone or in person was very professional and seemed competent. Only time will prove out that. It did take 9 days from the time I ordered the A/C to replace the dead A/C which seems like a long time but maybe they figured I wasnt an emergency since I was able to live downstairs with my still working A/C. Im happy!

Pros:Call center professional.Technicians were all professional and courteous.Cons:Could not repair my zoning system. 3 different techs came out, each came up with different reasons on what was wrong or wasnt wrong. Charged me for electrical work that did not fix the problem.Non responsive for 4 days after requesting a call from the manager.Nice staff unfortunately did not know how to repair a zoning system. Honesty and a call back would have helped. I would not recommend if you have a zoning system.This is in response to Collins Comfort Masters Reply...1. The manager did not reach out to me. I called 4 days in a row asking to speak to Robert & Paul, left messages with no call back. On the fourth day the the young lady who answered the phone finally got Robert on the line for me. I got a hold of him, he never reached to us.2. No I did not ask him to diagnose the problem over the phone. Yes he did offer to send another technician, which I did refuse...see the above review and you will understand why.Like I said before Honesty and a call back would have helped.

We contracted with Collins to replace our aging a/c equipment and furnace including the ductwork. I thought they did a great job. I wasnt able to look in the attic because of a personal handicap but I talked to the electrician who installed everything outside. He did a really super job, in fact it was the best installation work Ive ever seen.One of them had to come back and install a thermostat and new controller board. He thought he would be done by noon but ran into some wiring issues and it took him all day. He was very pleasant and did a terrific job.Then they sent a couple guys to repair the attic opening. Their work was excellent. They went the extra mile to match the existing paint. When they were finished you couldnt even tell anyone had been there.I would recommend Collins to anyone.

My unit has not cooled properly. I had Freon put in two months ago and still can’t get house cooled on these hot day below 88. Today the repair man had to put more Freon on. I am turning 94 years old on July 18th. And can not afford to purchase a new unit. So guess I will just stay hot all summer.But I have always liked Collins company and told many others about their good service. I feel like a grand mother to the nice guys that have came over to check my unit all these years. Thanks so much for all you have done for me.

We are SO happy with the service from Mike today from Collins Comfort!!!! He came to our home and performed an A/C tune-up. This guy knows his stuff! This is our first home in Arizona and so we had tons of questions. He answered them all, shared so many helpful tips, and explained what to look out for. Called Collins Comfort Masters because our AC was dead and we needed a new one. They arrived earlier than the originally scheduled date they were kind enough to lend us a portable AC in the meantime which was a lifesaver in the Arizona heat.. Avery M., Richard S., and Shey P. arrived on time. They were very professional, they set up the new AC and walked us through how to use the new smart thermostat and helped me connect it to my phone. They even cleaned up after themselves which was much appreciated. I will definitely use Collins Comfort Masters in the future.

We bought a house that had a water softener already in place that was provided by all about water for the previous owners.I needed the annual maintenance and it was an ok service, if a bit on the pricey side.The tech that came out was very nice to me, but before I arrived, my wife was uncomfortable talking to him. He wasnt rude, he wasnt nice, so it was just awkward according to her.For me, I am not sure I would use them again, but that is more about what I think is a steep price than anything else. If it was my company, and I had the chance to forge a long term partnership with the new owners, I would have handled it differently.Again, not bad, but not great either, and more expensive than I think it should be.

The original HVAC system was installed in 2009, the same year the house was built. I assume that at that time, it was a builder standard HVAC unit. We knew we would need to have a new system installed, based on 3 separate companies giving us 3 different quotes. Collins Comfort Masters, was different. Garrett (Initial point of contact, then Monty was our project manager who saw the process through start to finish) from Collins was the 3rd company to provide us with an estimate, and the only one to point out that our daughters bedroom ductwork was pinched because it was hanging over a roof joist in the attic, pinching off any change of cold air getting to her room. The first 2 companies either didnt notice, didnt look, or didnt care about this detail, because neither of them brought it up to us. That was a surprise, because all 3 companies were in the attic looking at the same thing, Collins just looked a little further. We discovered Collins Comfort Masters through our local COSTCO, and were also intrigued by the multiple incentives provided through COSTCO (rebate, COSTCO Cash Card, and COSTCO MEMBERSHIP CREDIT). The new HVAC unit we decided upon was the Lennox Variable Speed 18 SEER 5 ton unit. This thing looks awesome, the technology that Lennox poured into this unit is impressive. Our original unit was a single stage, but after the product explanation from Garrett & Monty, the Variable Speed was the way to go. Your initial investment (while may be staggering), is offset through the rebates from our power company (SRP), COSTCO, and the energy savings during the hot Arizona summers. Our average Arizona summer energy bill per month is approx. $380.00. With the new Lennox Variable speed system, and the modification of the duct to our daughters bedroom, the estimated savings during Arizona summers is approx. 65%. We shall see, and will provide an update at that time. Im excited for my new Lennox System, and cant wait to enjoy lower costs to cool my house. Thank you Lennox. As for the Collins Comfort Masters customer experience, I am very satisfied. After Garrett made the initial contact, Monty Dyke stepped in & was a pleasure to work with. He went over all the paperwork, he helped to get us setup for installation, and he was there on the day of the installation in the morning & also later that day to make sure the installers were doing there job. Monty was very professional, he was courteous & he was very personable, I really like Monty. But, the satisfaction didnt stop there. On the day of installation, my wife received a morning call from Carson saying that he was calling from Collins telling her he would be there in 20-30 minutes, he was on time. He was accompanied by Cirillo & Blayke, 3 team members from Collins for my installation. All 3 team members from Collins wore masks, they wore booties over their work shoes when inside. They were very methodical, they came in & assessed where they needed to be, what they needed to do, and got right to work. There were NO SURPRISES. Monty also stopped by in the morning to say hello & to check on the install team to see if they were good to go, they showed up ready to work. The install team put down drop cloths, the noise for removing the old system and installing the new system wasnt too terrible, it didnt bother me. Also, they did not damage any personal belongings and/or any exterior/interior surfaces. They had to remove a closet shelf but put it back after they were finished. Once the install was completed, Monty returned as he said he was going to, to make sure we were happy and that there were NO SURPRISES, NO PROBLEMS. The Lennox system is super quiet, I guess its going to take some time getting used to it. After the install team did a broom cleanup of the work area and the pathway they used to enter & exit the house. They did an exceptional job, and I would recommend Collins Comfort Masters to anyone who needs help with A/C, Heating & Plumbing. Thank you, Carson, Cirillo, Blayke & Monty. We have been doing business with Collins Comfort for over 20 years. They have always been on time and reliable. Our experience with them today was no different. Our air conditioner stopped working yesterday afternoon, and they were perfectly willing, without extra charge, to come out and fix it last night. However, because I had to get up early this morning I rescheduled for today.They arrived as promised, in the early morning, Our technician, Joshua Wiegel was very professional and went out of his way to find our broken part, which included traveling across town to pick it up, and then returning to complete the job! Otherwise, we would have been without air conditioning until next week. During the summer is probably the worse time for anything to go wrong with your AC system But Collins was there to save us! Collins came out and had to do maintenance on our house after they installed a new A/C because it shut off. The technician did the work and said the sink that the A/C unit drained into was clogged. He said it wasn’t under warranty but fixed it for free. After he left we found the bathroom flooded a day and a half later, from the sink he “fixed”. We didn’t find it sooner because the water soaked through the vanity and under the tile. Now the entire bathroom has to be completely demolished and repaired. They refuse to acknowledge or accept any fault in the matter, even though their tech worked on the bathroom and it somehow magically flooded. Do yourself a favor and go to a more reputable company that cares about its customers.

Collins Comfort is awesome. They installed 2 new central air systems. The entire process was painless from estimate, scheduling, and installation. I highly recommend! We had a leak in the wall in our bathroom a leak later. We were scrambling to get someone out. We called Collins and they had someone out in less than an hour. This was the most amazingly professional install I’ve ever experienced. Chris G. And his team were meticulous and hard working guys who replaced a 40 year old antiquated HVAC system with a brand new, upgrade, to of the line system. With temperatures in the 100s, this team worked tirelessly in a super hot and super filthy attic and when completed they cleaned up everything. Chris created a punch list of items that needed to be followed up at a later date. It was clear that my satisfaction was their priority. They exceeded my expectations 100 times over.
