I’ll update as my process continues:Requested a tour @5:30 yesterday. At first I couldn’t find the apartments, I called. The phone was instantly answered (which is not the case for most of these Apartments out here in my experience) by Emilee. Once she helped me get to the leasing office she was right outside ready to show the model loft (I’m moving into a similar model but not the loft). She let me get a really good look at the place, let me smell cabinets/under the sink, look at the balcony, and explained where things were gonna be in my apartment since I wasn’t interested in the loft. She answered all my questions that I had, and we finished up my application (I started it before I got there just in case I fell in love with the place). Right now I’m waiting to get approved for the unit I fully believe will be staying in. This will be my first ever apartment, and I’m im very excited to start this next chapter of my life with The Cove.For those of you out there that need that sign to just jump the gun this is it. Last time I looked (this morning) only one more 1bdrm/1bath is available which mean another person and I took the other ones yesterday. Ask for Emilee if possible, she is really kind/helpful.Update 1: Got approved. They do automatically take the admin fee out of your account if approved with no conditions. I suggest using your debit card because they charge a percentage interest on credit cards. They are allowing me to see the unit once it’s done being renovated. They will be sending me the lease 1 week in advance before my move in date. They set up utilities for you which is nice. I hope this helps anybody trying to see what the process with them is going to look like.

Leased here for a year love the apartment. The maintenance is the best. They come the day you put in the request. The apartments are beautiful and I have a mostly good experiences with all the people that work here. With that being said I had a poor experience with Liz today! Wish she had a more positive/understanding attitude towards the situation I was trying to explain to her. Aside from that this a great place to rent with beautiful trails to walk through right behind the complexes!

Just did the open house tour and I have to say I’m impressed and serious considering moving here. The people seem great. The apartments are all renovated and spacious. And the land is in great condition with an adorable little dog park.

I just wanted to say that Nicholas did an amazing job! He was super responsive and professional at answering all of our questions before moving in and during the process of the lease agreement as well. The pricing for this place was a bit higher than what we would like BUT to be fair, you dont often see good reviews and in the end it was worth it. Parking is always going to be a hit and miss with apartments but so far we have had no issues. There are many dog owners here, including myself and all seem great so far. My neighbors as well has been great and no issues there. Theres also a great trail near here, which is a plus. The workers here seem to really care about the residents that live here and keep the place clean. Id highly recommend this place since its close to many stores and just overall has great attentive workers. Side note though since living here, you do often hear the ambulance noise. Overall, this place is wonderful and I hope they continue to keep it up in the near future. Thanks to Nicholas again!

Stay away from this place!!! The other day we had someone peeping into our windows and had a camera. Not to mention that the people who work here in the office are very unprofessional (except the maintenance guy he’s very nice). I have lived here a little less than a year, and I have already gotten a dish washer replaced, we didn’t have screens in our windows, and our toilet didn’t work for 5 months. There are cops around this apartment constantly because of crime, our friends bikes got stolen here, and our car was broken into by the office parking. Also, we are in a renovated apartment and the appliances are very very cheap, and continue to break. There are not locks on our windows either. Please please please, stay away from this place.

Well I dont know if I can mention names or not, but Ive been in The Cove for the last couple of weeks and I can honestly say that Emily (hope I spelt that right) is The Cove MVP. From the start of the first phone call, through the approval process (only an hour by the way...), to the move in date and everything between shes been in constant contact every step of the way. Minus a few repairs that need to be done on the apartment when we moved in (well handle those when we unpack the boxes), the Cove move in process has been the smoothest Ive ever experienced in a community. On top of that, the events she hosts are great! Special shout out to Nicholas as well for being a great personality there as well! So do I recommend moving here? 100%. The area is awesome, the ducks and geese are relaxing, and so far the neighbors are pretty awesome too! I cant wait to get settled!

I have lived at the cove on 3 different occasions now. Always had to move to accommodate my daughters schooling. I always ended up finding my way back to the cove tho. While this last time around was not my favorite stay there due to crime and other negative issues in the Federal Way community rising. The staff there at this moment in time is stellar! Nicholas specifically has been a god send and hugely helpful in this last stay there. I’m so happy he was there to help make a confusing situation much more understandable to me and a lot less stressful than it needed to be. Thank you all at the cove folks both past and present for making a good portion of my 19 years in federal way the most enjoyable than any other property in the area! Much Love to you all❤️

They charge a $75 appliance cleaning fee for units that will be renovated. I was really happy living here and moved back for another short term lease but would have liked to know about the cleaning fees before moving in. The unit I moved into was about to be renovated and I still got charged a cleaning fee, despite scrubbing everything on my hands and knees. I get that places charge a deposit but to pay a cleaning fee for something that will just be renovated or “given away” is ridiculous. I already called The Cove and spoke to the manager and nothing got resolved. Will not be coming back.

Me and my husband moved here about 5 months ago. We have loved every minute, the office staff are great, friendly and you always feel welcome. The maintenance staff have been great too. Its a lovely area too, we have the BPA trail to walk our dog every day. No crime, its clean!Thank you guys for being great! 🥰

I just moved into one of the renovated units with a loft and it’s really nice. Don’t have much to say about any issues as I said I just moved in, but the property management team is really great at answering emails and phone calls in a timely manner. Specifically Emilee, Jen, and Nicholas. They were very helpful during the whole process. The only thing I would say is the in home washer and dryer are small, but luckily they have an on-site laundry facility for residents to use. Also this place is a perfectly in between all the shopping centers which are only 6 minutes away. I will post any updates as I start my journey here at The Cove.

Weve been here a little while now & have had little to no issues. We had someone parking in our spot but the management took care of it. Complex is kept clean & management is very responsive.

Nick,Liz and Janai have been sooo helpful! They go beyond to help solve your situation. Whenever I have a question or problem with their sisterhood apartments that I live in. They are always professional and have great customer service!Thank you for what you guys do and showing that you guys care. Much appreciated!

Just moved into The Cove about a week ago and I really love everything about our apartment and the community. The apartment is beautiful and is the perfect start for me and my girlfriend moving in together. Cant wait for the pool and gym to open after Covid and to make this place feel like home, even more than it already does!

The Staff is amazing and helped make our move-in very easy!! They maintain the grounds nicely and the location is great for getting whereever we need to go. Thank you to Janae & Liz for all your help! You are tghe best!!

Our only issue was that we left the place spotless (after 2 months) and even cleaned the carpets. But they charged 100$ for carpet cleaning and seems our security deposit just about met every cleaning charge.At the time of move in, the carpet was dirty, had cobwebs all around the house. So it was not a good experience for us.

I live here just 2 months but I can say this is good apartment. So nice and calm place with many trees. I can feel real autumn that I couldn’t feel before in Los Angeles. I am not perfect speaking in english but THEY(the cove team) were listening patiently and trying to know what I’m talking. When I requested to fix a stuff they answered quickly. Even they leave a congratulation message for our birthday. It’ really impressive.

The outdoors of this property are like an oasis!

My husband and I stayed at Cove Apartments for several months while selling our house and prepping for a cross country move. We had a ground-level, one bedroom apartment with a patio that overlooked one of the many beautiful ponds/fountains. We found this place very peaceful and relaxing (amazingly quiet). The apartment staff is lovely, and the maintenance crew does an awesome job of keeping the community looking good.

Been living here for 5 years. One of my biggest worries was maintenence turn around time they have knocked it out of the park. Everyone professional they as we all are facing trials during these uncertain times but they still stay professional.

My family and I toured this apartment complex during our first apartment hunt and I was touched on how welcoming, friendly and helpful the staff were. Mia was so amazing to work with. She was very genuine on wanting to help my family and she answered all our questions regarding what the process was going to be like. The events, the office puts on for their residents warms my heart. As much as we loved the complex and it’s staff we ended up choosing another complex closer to my new job. However I would recommend this complex to any individual or family!

The staff is very friendly and most professional.Anytime I call the office or walk in they always make sure all my issues or questions have been addressed. They definitely have a great sense of pride in this community and make you feel like your at home. Its refreshing these days to see a great group of people who really care for what they do. Outstanding !!!!!!!

My experience here was really good I honestly enjoyed my time here the staff was super nice. Mia was the person I did my move in with and she made it easy and a comfortable process. everyone else was spectacular at their jobs. The only down fall of the complex was the uncovered parking but that has nothing to do with the actual staff.

My boyfriend and i toured these apartments! Mia greeted us in the front office and was extremely friendly right off the bat! She really took the time and put in the effort to help us find what we were looking for. She was very informative and helpful. We saw their Nisquilly one bed one bath floor plan and were surprised at how elegant this space looked. We then were able to see the Olympia floor plan and were even more shocked by the spiral stair case and loft upstairs! It was so beautiful. Mia really helped us and had a smile on her face the entire time. These apartments are beautiful and perfect for your first time moving out or someone like me who likes an easy but classy floor plan! I myself dont like a lot of space so these apartments seemed to fit my needs. Although the spaces were really nice the customer service was 10 for 10. Thank you again Mia, you were fabulous!

Moving is already stressful, but thankfully Everyone I Came Across Was Super Nice and helpful, and my tour was great and less stressful than I thought itd be! The Ladies That Work Here Are Awesome! Apartments Were Clean And Ready To Be Shown, Decent Size, In A Quiet Area! Great Pool area, And Dog Park! Just Tell Them What Youre Looking For!

I came to look at my first apartment as I am about to move out of my parents. Mia was very sweet and showed me all of the nice features in the apartment. they are very comfortable apartments very spacious and in a quiet neighborhood. I definitely am looking to move into this place!

Mia is the best! I’ll start off by saying: I had a tour of the place awhile back and I fell in love with this apartment complex, she had so much knowledge about the place and delivered it with excitement, you can tell she enjoys her job. Unfortunately, there were not any apartment sizes available in what I was looking for at the time. But Mia worked hard to find me the closest options. Her flexibility and being on top of it was so amazing. Although, it did not work at this time, I would definitely consider this home in my future. If anyone has any questions or is interested in this place definitely ask for Mia! Thank you again, Mia!

The Cove has been home for 2 months. We enjoy the atmosphere, the office staff is friendly, and maintenance is extremely fast and efficient. We had called 2 times for maintenance and they were there within 20 minutes. Parking isnt too bad and during the day, numerous people are out and about patrolling the area which is comforting. The office does events for the tenants and our dog even won a raffle. Overall, we have been very pleased with our experience here.

Mias tour of the apartment complex was great! She was kind, easy to talk to and very informative. Although we did not end up renting due to our own circumstances, we really appreciated her thoroughness and efforts.

The cove is a great community to be at. I was with a friend who was looking for a place and viewed a 2 bedroom 2 bath and if i didn’t find my home. I would move in here. The staff is there is very nice, and show that they care. They do not like to push people on living in their community like other apartment my friend has experienced. Lala i think her name is has a beautiful smile that lit up the room when we first walked in. Unfortunately there isn’t any apartments available at the time my friend wants to move in otherwise she would very much live here.Thank you cove for making this experience great for us.

I toured this property when looking to move to this area. I was very impressed with two of the leasing agents. Mia and Keanu showed me around at two different times. Both agents were extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in finding just the right apartment and in the area I was most interested in. They have continued to update me while I am in transition of my move. Thank you both!

The Cove has been a great home for many years. We still live here and thoroughly enjoy it. Sure, theres things that go on from time to time, like any home at any point of ones life, but I have found it to be my little oasis in this metropolitan area. We hear ducks playing in the pond in the morning and I get to write at a desk up a spiral staircase, its kind of hard to be upset at that. moving here was a solid decision, and Ive really enjoyed my time here.

Living at the cove was great! Always clean and office staff were perfect. Never had any issues with crime nor saw or heard of any happening around the property while I lived there. Maintenance was always done within hours of putting in the work order. 100% would recommend. 10/10!

I went in for a tour of the apartments and you can really tell the office staff cares for their tenants and for the property itself. They were very prompt at responding to my call and answering all of my questions. The grounds were clean and the apartments were well kept. I would have loved to call this my home; however my partner and I decided to move farther north than Federal Way. Nevertheless, I was impressed by the offices professionalism and hospitality, as well as the apartment itself!

Immediately as soon as I walked in I was greeted by Keanu “ spelling?” And a new gal there, they treated us very well, with respect and even joked around with us. Then AJ the stud took us around, showed us some apartments and found EXACTLY what we wanted at a decent price. I highly recommend this place!AJ was professional, and I can tell him and the staff actually care to help us. He went out of his way to call me everyday to help me get through a certain situation, now that’s baller status. Anywho the apartments are nice, our neighbors are nice. Just a dope place!!!

I’ve lived in these apartments with my girlfriend for not even a month yet and we love it here. Our leasing consultant was Keanu and he’s just truly great at his job. Made us feel incredibly welcome and helped us through the process. The staff are very good about getting back to you and the maintenance crew is top notch. Very funny and personable people all around. Parking is good. When we’ve had friends over for a housewarming they were able to find an uncovered spot near us without any hassle. It’s an extremely well-lit complex which -as a young woman- makes me feel a whole lot safer coming home or leaving at night. The only issue I have is the upstairs neighbors. They’re always playing music with lots and lots of bass so I feel it through my entire apartment, even if I’m outside, I can hear it. It seems rude to have no regard for your neighbors. Even now as I’m making the review it’s going on. Relaxing at home isn’t exactly possible with that happening which is frustrating. Other than that, an incredibly well-rounded community and fantastic staff. Thanks for making the cove a great place to call home!

I recently moved in to the Cove apartments this month. So far my experience has been great here - I found the office staff to be helpful at all times, very friendly, and I am very happy with the apartment I am renting. The complex amenities are great too - 2 swimming pools, ample parking and common entertaining/grilling areas - and also very close to local stores and shops. No complaints in my time so far!

The Cove has been home to us for 6 months while in the transition of buying and selling. There have been many years and places where we have lived and rented and The Cove by far has exceeded my expectations of making the community feel like family. The friendly monthly newsletters, the community outreach for Sunday night Football, Pool BBQ, back to school supplies for the kids in the community are a few of the awesome perks that they dont have to provide but do so to make the community feel like family. Move to the cove! Its the best place in town. The real deal. A great place to live with the good maintenance and managers. I wish i didnt have to leave but even when I did they helped me find a new place to call home. Above and beyond. I recommend it to everyone.

Great location with easy access to freeways, shopping, etc. The community is a quiet neighborhood and well maintained. He has excellent customer service as well as goes above and beyond to meet your expectation needs. He has done a fantastic job in his role. Coming up on our first month anniversary as an extremely proud tenant! I must say that the staff & manager are genuinely kind & inclusion is not amiss among the community here. Im not a pet owner so with that said, I wouldnt have noticed there were as many pets here than Ive seen walking around; which speaks volumes to the upkeep & responsibility of the grounds staff & pet owners here! The Cove has been such a lovely place to call home. I love walking the property and visiting the pond. It was also very nice to cool off in the pool during the heat of the summer, the kids LOVED it!

They are very professional every time they enter my home.The community offers tons of scenery, trail access and the pond with wild life that my kids love to see when we walk around the community.Overall, The cove is a great place to call home.

Ive lived at the Cove Apartments in Federal Way for nearly 20 years. Three different companies have owned the property during that time. Weidner Apt. Homes has been the owner since 2010 and have been superior to the prior owners. They have painted the exterior of all the buildings and provided a more secure mail box facility. The landscape is well kept etc.The office management is friendly, helpful and well trained. The maintenance staff is efficient and friendly. Routine problems are taken care of quickly. Recently this included a cabinet door fix and replacement of a kitchen light cover.Since Ive lived here so long my apartment has also been upgraded with new vinyl flooring in both the kitchen and bathroom and they look great. I thought this might be a very noisy procedure as it required moving the stove, refrigerator and toilet. However the one man crew worked with quiet efficiency and wouldnt have woken up a sleeping baby.The same worker has also put in a new light with fan in my dining room. It is more modern and efficient and looks much better.I could go on with the compliments but the bottom line is - The Cove is a great place to live. Looking for an apt.? Check it out.

This place is amazing, me and my family love it!! The staff here are friendly, respectfull, and understanding. Trying to find a good apartment complex is always time consuming and stressful. But when I came to look at The Cove Apartments everyone was on board to make sure that I knew that I was welcome and appreciated. Mia and Keanu helped me the most with my move in, always making sure that everything was going smoothly. Both of there knowledge about the apartments and enthusiasm made me feel more comfortable. I could clearly tell that they love there jobs.

The one thing that really stood out to me was the wonderful staff! I loved the location of my building too which was 31 up on the hill. I had a very positive experience while living there.

Hands down the most amazing leasing staff Keanu is the most friendly leasing agent ...and not just Keanu, all of the people who work in the office/ maintenance departments. I love great customer service and frankly they are tops!! I love it here finally a peaceful quiet semi rustic place outside of the city rat race to call home.

This complex is the best place I have ever lived. They are so nice and they always work with you if needed. They respond very quick. I would recommend them to anyone and I will continue to resign my lease and continue to stay here.

This is the worst apartment experience I’ve ever had. We had mold the whole year and all they did was paint over it 3 times, they charged us an outrageous amount for carpet and paint when we got it professionally cleaned, they said we had pets when we never own a pet. Also we only hung one item up in the whole apartment. The management was terrible, the Maintenance was poor. Don’t move here.

I toured these apartments and I fell in love instantly!! They are spacious and the scenery is super pretty! Prices are affordable and everyone was super helpful with any questions and concerns! Recomend living here for anyone wanting warm an fcb cozy loving experience with exceptional employees!

Needs a basketball court but has two hot tubs, beautiful property. Apartment layouts are very spacious for an apartment. Community is quiet and friendly.

Staff is very willing to help, incredibly friendly, and provides the best and most relevant information when looking for an apartment. Tours are very thorough, and give the best insight on what apartment you are looking for. Keanu and Sopheavy were especially ready to help me look at options, provided information that was easy to interpret, and never judged me for asking seemingly dumb questions. Apartments are cozy with a good amount of open space inside, great for a first apartment for friends/family.

All the office staff are like family to me. They have helped me out with not only the move but things like changing my address, setting up electric, paying rent and more. They go above and beyond what I would ever expect from an apartment rental. Weidner as a company has always treated me this way, I have lived at three of their properties in Federal Way and have had the same experience.

My boyfriend and I moved into The Cove after moving cross country. We looked at several apartments prior to seeing a unit at The Cove, but once there, we were instantly sold on the complex due to the amazing customer service we received from Janai and Keanu. Not only are they extremely friendly, but they are compassionate and punctual.There are many pros to living at The Cove:--I never once felt unsafe in the complex.--I always received excellent customer service.--Each unit has 1 covered parking spot included (and monitored parking for any additional vehicles/guest parking).--It is located close to busier roadways and a hospital, but it is not at all a loud complex! It is very quiet!--Trash/recycling dumpsters that are properly maintained and easy to access.--Well-kept grounds and VERY responsive/quick maintenance workers!--The BPA trail is right next door, which is excellent for enjoying the outdoors!The only reason I am unable to give The Cove a 5-star review is due to a continued noise issue that was occurring with our neighbors. Janai and Keanu helped significantly with trying to reduce the problem, and we never once felt that they did not hear our concerns. Although the noise did not completely stop, we did feel as though they sufficiently helped us.Our move in/out process was seamless, easy and straightforward. There were no loopholes or things we missed that caused us to have to pay anything additional. I would absolutely recommend The Cove to anyone looking for a reasonable and comfortable home in Greater-Seattle area!

Lived at the Cove for over 6 years and even through staffing changes and updates they have exceeded our expectations. We even had someone run into our garage and they allowed free storage down the street to help compensate the loss that wasnt their fault. Every time we made an inquiry for anything they quickly responded and did what was right. A special thank you Ashleigh, Bassem for making it feel like home. We will miss staff and the many of the great neighbors!

In my search for possible new apartment in the next up coming months I spoke to a young lady named Mia and I was blown away with how friendly she was and she really made an effort to see that there will be something that meets my needs and my wants for a new place will definitely be back

I thought this apartment complex was great until it was time to leave. Because of work relocation I had to move my family on short notice. I knew I would have to pay termination to break lease. Since I have broken lease I have never received any notification of a due payment until this morning when I received threats of legal action and threats of destroying my renter history. To the Cove - Proper communication is a virtue. And to fail to communicate to me what is due and to aim threats towards my families livelihood is unacceptable. I would never recommend living here.Update 09/17/2019Janai made it a point to harass my wife through email and made it personal. She also made it a point to forward this atrocious email made out to my wife to my personal email as if to antagonize me.This has become personal, and payment arrangements have already been agreed upon. Leave it be and quit harassing us. Learn from your mistakes in accordance with your unprofessionalism and quit digging a hole.

I have lived at the cove for about 6 years. The cove is clean and quite. The maintenance is great. The people in the office are very friendly and helpful.

Pretty average. The maintenance takes care of most problems fast. Friendly leasing agents. Sometimes hard to reach the main office. Depending on what unit you get the view and surrounding area are pretty nice but some Units have horrible views and are in spots where you cant get any parking. Overall the last several months have been well. I think I definitely got lucky with the unit Im in due to the other side of the complex having less parking and being packed in to a smaller area. Definitely better than virtually every other property in the area! Would feel a lot better if the security dealt with people loitering than just messing with the resident cars who cant find parking. Seems like we have a lot of people who dont belong here just wandering around but its mostly just cars that the security messes with and Id rather not pay for that kind of service.

This is my FIRST apartment community that I’ve lived in, my fiancé and I have lived here just under a year and I have no complaints, fast, friendly, and considerate customer service! The office staff is always willing to go the extra mile and that’s what makes me as a resident feel like staying and calling this community my home!

I loved living here and wish I could go back. It was quiet and peaceful. Management was helpful and not shady like other places. When we needed anything fixed, they came the same day. Clean, and good quality.

Janai is an awesome Community Director. A real pleasure to deal with. Always helpful and receptive.

Overall, my experience living at The Cove was sub par to say the least. When we first moved in everyone was sweet, nice and worked with us pretty well. We paid our rent on time, never really had any reason to go bug the people in the office or had a maintenance request. A few months before our lease was up we decided to go into the office to see about resigning the lease and possibly just transferring into a bigger apartment. We were told that the lady who handled transfer requests was out for the day and that she would call us Monday. Okay, no big deal. We never heard from her. We even went into the office on MULTIPLE occasions to see about speaking with her. But, she was never there. Go figure, right? So, we just figured they didnt want our business anymore and decided to find somewhere to move to. So, we move out and spend TWO WHOLE WEEKENDS cleaning the apartment and shampooing the carpets thinking that we are going to get our whole deposit back as there was no damage to the apartment and it looked way better than when we originally moved in. I was even told by a member of the staff working in the office that the apartment looked amazing. So, two weeks later I get a letter from The Cove saying that we owed them $17 and they charged for EVERYTHING. I mean, charged us for cleaning, charged us for shampooing the carpets, paint touch up, almost everything you could ever imagine just to make sure we never got our deposit back. Just a bunch of cheapskates.Neighbors were awful, always fighting at all hours of the night.. Slamming doors and always causing a scene no matter what. The laundromats are also awful, people taking up all the machines then leaving their clothes there even when theyre finished being washed and dried not allowing anyone else to use them because theyll just come back with more laundry.Yes, it is a beautiful place to live, the pond is gorgeous and the grounds are pretty as well. It just doesnt make up for the management staff and ghetto tenants.

Excellent maintenance by main crew. Hired ground crew has blown dirt an leaves all over my car in the past. Burning cigarettes fall thru split-floor upper deck to my deck below.My bicycle was stolen off my deck. Very niceApartment unit. Very professional office staff.

I recently relocated from Chicago to the Seattle area back in Sept for work. Prior to moving I had the opportunity to apartment hunt for a few days. I was in search of a 1BR 1BA. Not knowing the area, I had scheduled about 10 visits to different properties. Apartment hunting is stressful as it is, but having to find a place to live in a few days was a daunting task!Long story short, The Cove was vist #9 out of 10 in the local area (Auburn, Federal Way area) etc. All of the other properties I had visited were either out of my budget, didnt have a good vibe about, or just didnt like for whatever reason(dont settle for less!)Jenai was very personable. She was very friendly, and easy to talk to. I ended up going with a 2BR 1BA which was cheaper than a 1BR for some reason. The property is close to alot of stores & restaurants, but far enough from the daily traffic. Im on the 2nd floor overlooking a duck pond. Maintenance & management are very responsive. The property is maintained and kept clean. Carports are included at no charge. No issues thus far with neighbors, noise, or crime. Theres a pretty cool walking trail right behind the property. The only negative is there are no W/Ds in the unit. (Jenai did mention they were possibly looking at installing next year).I would definitely recommend this place. Jenai & her team are great!

The Cove is a warm and inviting place. I liked the quite atmosphere.
