Im not one to leave reviews. Before my visit, I told myself I would never go to another AAMCO in my life. I had an absolutely horrid experience at a different location in AL. They did some work on my transmission before I moved back to Indiana. 10 months later, I started hearing a chirping noise consistent with a bad throw out bearing. After calling the AAMCO that did the work, I was told that it wasnt actual under warranty nationally, and that Id have to drive to AL to get it looked at. I then called the Evansville location and got an appointment set up. Although I was not the most pleasant with the situation or company during the call, Jeremy kept his cool and handled the situation like a professional. He kept his word and personally called the AL location to ensure my warranty was honored. The other staff I interacted with were also extremely professional and polite. Turns out, the AL location butchered the job. Jeremy and his crew took care of me and made sure that everything was in working order before I picked it up. They also  recommended some preventative services, but werent pushy about it at all. It was like driving a new vehicle on the way home. Shifted smooth, and there were no more noises. I would absolutely recommend THIS AAMCO location.

I bought a used car that made a weird noise when driving. I took it to 4-5 different places. Everyone had mixed recommendations of fixes. One even charged us to replace the drive shaft ($1000) just to find out that wasn’t the problem. AAMCO finally got it right. Jeremy was super helpful through the whole process and helped us work with our warranty to replace the transmission. Picked it up yesterday and everything works great so far!

They were fast and honest. Did not try to add things on or change prices to satisfy. In the end I decided to sell the call notated of putting the money into it. He even gave me a break on diagnostic. Great place, great people!

My transmission dumped fluid all over my driveway, so i called aamco and had the car towed to the shop. After almost 2 weeks of not hearing anything, I called to find out what the problem was, and was told that a plastic cap/plug had failed and it was going to cost $512.00 to fix it, so I told them to proceed with the repair.Another week goes by and I call again to find out if i can get my car back, and they tell me my transmission cooler is leaking and thats gonna cost about $700.00 to fix. Again I tell them to repair it, and was told the part would be ordered that week. Another 2 weeks goes by and I call again, just to find out they never ordered the part.Part gets there, and its yet another week before the car is worked on. Finally its done after 6 weeks and i pick up my car.On the way out the door, he tells me that my turbo is leaking, I had it into the VW dealership the week before I called aamco for new coilpacks, and an oil change. The car was detailed inside and out, and a 120 point inspection done, and no problems were found.Now on further inspection of the car, I find scrapes on both sides of the rear bumper, and my license plate is bent. The brake pedal falls nearly to the floor. Checking the oil in the car it was 2 quarts low. The inside of the car was covered with mud and disgusting.My car is a 2012 beetle turbo, (launch edition) only 600 were made so i take great care of the car. Never missed a service or oil change, 74k miles on the car so you know its not driven a lot, or hard.No broken parts were returned either, so I guess I just have to take their word for what the problem was.I do not recommend aamco for any car repairs.

Jeremy was very helpful and went out of his way to get my job done for me, since it was a very hot day and my AC was broke. He even had the nice mechanic stay over to finish my job. I was 100% impressed. Thanks AMMCO!

I had a great experience with this location. I took my car in there and I wanted a transmission service but the fluid I wanted they did not stock but they offered to order exactly what I wanted. This sold me on taking my car there and then after dealing with the gentleman at the counter I felt my car was in good hands. I picked up my car and he was actually the guy who serviced my transmission, he went over in great detail what was done. I highly recommend this location. I will use them again for sure.

I had traveled from Tennessee to Evansville to visit family. Just as I was about to return home, the clutch went out on my car. I had my car taken to AAMCO because of their high customer ratings online. They were right! Jeremy at the front desk was professional and understood situation so got my car in quickly. It was fixed and ready to go the next day! Fair price and great quality of work. I highly recommend this location.

They were able to diagnose and fix the problem with my car and I dont remember the last time my car felt this good on the road! This place was awesome! They were very thorough explaining the details of the work our car needed done. They were extremely nice about everything. Our total ended up being less than they estimated which is always a bonus. They have a few different choices of finance options available which was another bonus and we were approved for the full amount we needed and right now our credit is not good. They sent a link right to my phone for financing and I was able to fill out the credit applications right here at home with an instant decision. Jeremy made the entire process simple and stress free, very polite and honest. The car is completely fix. We have had it back a few days and so far it is running great. We are very pleased with this place and will return to them in the future if we need anymore work done!!

So as we all know we are all going through a pandemic. Of course my luck would be my transmission would go out in the middle of it... My Regular mechanic doesnt do transmission work so I took my car to the only transmission place I had heard good things about. The team at AAMCO was quick to diagnose my issues. As they was getting my quote I called around to get other quotes and AAMCO between 1k to 2k cheaper then anyone in town not to mention the fixxed other issues free of labor charge cause it was already convenient to fix wile my trans was out . They worked with me while I gathered the money I needed for a brand new trans. They quickly got my car fixed and back to me and it runs so much better now then it ever has. I cant thank the Team enough. The owner was so kind and worked hard to get me the best price. The Office Manager Jeremy is so personable and made sure I was informed in what was going on with my car. I will definitely be returning for my other car needs.

I definitely recommend this business. They were helpful in arranging to have my daughters vehicle towed and thorough in checking it out for the problem. They are also good at explaining the problem and what they are doing, prices seem reasonable and I didnt feel pressured to have added or unnecessary work done.

NEVER NEVER NEVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS PLACE!!!!!I drove my vehicle to them on 4/17/2020 in the morning because the Engine Light was on and the car would start off driving a bit sluggish. Obviously, the car had some sort of transmission issue BUT the car still drove. Once they did their original check they contacted me to let me know they had to do some electrical checks to find out what the issue was. They later contacted me and told me the car needed a new transmission. He changed the price for a new and used transmission several times throughout the conversation. I couldnt make a decision right away so he said the key would be in the car. I got there right around 5:30 (when they close) to pick up my car. The car was majorly messed up. There was a new light on the dash that I have never seen before. I literally had to turn on my hazard lights and drive 10-15 mph all the way down Green River Road to get home.Monday morning I contacted them, told them the issue and that the car wouldnt drive. Jeremy said they would tow it. Awesome. They were going to pick my car up and get it driving again. NOPEThe only answer I received from him was that it was a transmission issue and then charged me for the tow. I shouldnt have had to even do that, they caused my car to not drive at all.I DROVE MY CAR THERE ON FRIDAY 4/17/2020 and it hasnt drove since. They messed with the electrical and caused more major issues with my vehicle and are not taking responsibility.I am a Single Mother who struggles to make ends meet. This is my only vehicle. Before they got ahold of my car I could get back and forth to work, I could go to the grocery store, I could drive my car.

I got great news about my Lincoln Mark LT and the counter guy even took the time to research my vehicle to find any known issues to look out for. Thats going above and beyond general service. Speaking of service, it was fast, friendly and affordable. Trifecta! Take your vehicle here. They wont do what it doesnt need and they try to help with any general questions you may have whether its transmission related or not and they test before they ever try charging you.

Really had a tremendous experience with the Gentlemen of the AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care. First off I was greeted in a very professional and business-like manner. The Manager, Mr Jeremy Carter was friendly and personable. He and his associate who looked at my car and the other information that had been provided by the dealer identified the issue. But more than that, they explained to me what was wrong, and the impact it was having on the performance of my car. He provided me with an estimate that was fair and reasonable which ultimately helped me to make my decision. In addition he offered a reasonable option to pay for the work that needed to be done. In the end, parts were ordered, and arrangements made to bring my car in for service. All in all very thorough and successful. In short the key to this AAMCO center was the manager; his experience in working with people, his communication skills and the associates who were friendly and experienced in their work. Thanks all!

(Update!!) Since they worked on my Jeep I havent had a problem with it its fantastic and it runs a hell of a lot better than it did when I bought it because I knew when I bought my jeep the person that had it before me ran the hell out of it along with the trans ran it hard ! Well in like 4 to 5 months it was paid off the only down fall about this company is there are alot of hiden fees when it comes to financing through them ..so when youre told itll be 3,700 for a repair wrong add hidden fees in there youll spending about $5,000 ...just an fyi for yall who read this because i spent more then what i was told and it aint amco fault its the financing bank they go through!!! And be expected to pay almost $200 every week ! But other then that satisfaction guaranteed!Best service Ive gotten all year Jeremy is such a nice guy and easy to talk to recommend for all your cars repairs !!!!👍

This shop saw the issue through until it was really fixed. Other shops just put in a part and gave it back over and over. This shop did not do that. They kept testing until they found the issue and knew it was fixed. They also followed up once I had driven it a few weeks to ensure there were no issues remaining.Jeremy and his staff are highly recommended.

Excellent service throughout the week and a half my car was there, and worked with me every step of the way. They were always quick to answer any questions I had and they took care of calling the warranty company and having them take care of most of the cost.Edit: after the weekend, my transmission still runs great - however they are now asking me to pay them additional money out of MY pocket because of an error on their part in mixing up the paperwork with the warranty company.

Came in because my windshield wipers stopped working and was surprised by the amazing service from Jeremy and all others. They kindly took a look at my vehicle to find the problem free of charge, and were able to have the part delivered an hour later from the other side of town. They fixed my vehicle so I was able to drive it away same day so I was able to go to work on time. Amazing service, extremely courteous and they really do care about their customers. I will be recommending them to everyone I know who needs work done on their vehicles.

Brought my truck to AAMCO as this was my first time ever using this company and not the last. The person I dealt with Jeremy was very courteous explained what they were going to do and called me when they had to take another revenue and explained the process of that the new revenue and the expenses of it also. My truck was done in a timely manner and the price was fair.

Was sent there by another mechanic. Let me just start by saying when I arrived here, I felt very welcomed. Was told everything would be handled with my warranty, all I had to do was wait for the word that my truck was done. Awesome place. Would recommend anyone to go there for your vehicle needs.

Let me first say that Im very picky and dont trust many ships to repair my vehicles. As a matter of fact, I typically do my own repairs for this reason. Jeremy was awesome to work with and kept working towards a solution to my cars vibration. Went in thinking transmission based on the dealership and Jeremy and his team were convinced it wasnt and didnt want to rebuild it without 100% certainty. Well, their persistence and good troubleshooting led to a much cheaper, wheel bearing, speed sensor and CV axle repair. Car drives great and the dealership should be ashamed for recommending a transmission replacement and other non issue repairs.Highly recommend AAMCO Evansville. Thank you.

Everyone here at AAMCO was very understanding and helpful along the way of getting my transmission fixed on my truck. They helped me get a credit line set up so i could be able to afford the work and were all very friendly and treated me as family and my truck as one of there own. I am going to continue to bring all of my current and future vehicles here.

Ive been here several times with two older vehicles. They do excellent work and have been very straightforward about what needs to be done. Their pricing is very fair. I can definitely say coming here I spend less fixing only what needs to be done and doing it right. I feel like maybe because theyre so hard to see from the road they try a little harder to win repeat business. I only discovered them because they were open on a Saturday when I had a repair emergency, even though Id been right next door at FedEx several times.

I had AAMCO replace a transmission and do other repairs on one of our work vehicles (Ford E-250). I couldnt be happier with their turnaround time, quality of work, and communication. I will highly recommend them to others!

These folks were committed to making sure that my vehicle was repaired and that I was satisfied. They had a much better transmission rebuild warranty than the other guys. When I had issues or questions, they were committed to making things right or finding the right answer. When they found other problems, they let me know and asked me how I wanted to proceed. I showed up a month later and they did another test drive just to make sure that everything was copacetic. Im happy with my experience and I would definitely do business with them again.

I have a 1975 Chevy C10 truck that was in need of rear brakes. I contacted AAMCO about converting the old Drum Brakes to Full Rear Disk brakes and he agreed to take a look at my truck and the kit. During the process AAMCO were very informative. This being a custom job, it took a great deal of precision and attention to detail that an ordinary shop would not do. Great customer service. I was stranded over 4 hours from home. My truck was fixed the day and they even stayed open 2 hours late to get me on my way. I recieved a courtesy call the next day to even make sure I made it home.

My transmission needed to be replaced. I called and checked on various Transmission Shops in Evansville. AAMCO was the least expensive. They not only rebuilt the transmission but did it in a timely manner, Jeremy & staff were outstanding & very professional and went the extra mile to check my car out completely. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I had to return because they didnt tighten the grill and forgot to put hood latch back on causing hood to pop up obstructing view of traffic. They apologized and were courteous and repairs to A/C were good.

I received 5 star car on my vehicle. They had my car serviced and ready to go in less than 2 days. They informed me on anything that needed to be repaired. They told me my transmission was good, which i thought was the problem. No unnecessary repairs. After i got my car back, Jeremy from Aamco, called just to see if i was satisfied about my car. One of the best services I have gotten in evansville, I just moved here and have been to a couple places but got the best service at AAMCO, I was fully prepared to get a rebuilt transmission but turns out transmission was fine and just needed fluid. Point of story is they could have took me for a bunch of money but only cost me 27$. Very honest and fast. Will definitely take my car there again! Thank you guys for being a stand up shop and helping me get my car back on the road!!

I was very impressed with the service I received from AAMCO. I was presented with all possible options and continuously informed with the progress on my car. I did not feel pressured into any unnecessary expenses. AAMCO delivered quality work at a fair and honest price.

Can’t say enoug positive about this place and the staff. They ruled out other possible causes and then when we knew the problem, they pushed to get a part in as early as possible. With Jeremy even going to pick it up himself on a Saturday when they could have just said come back in Monday. Then they had me in and out on Saturday in no time.I trust them to treat me fairly and not to take advantage, and they definitely worked to make sure I had the best experience possible and the least amount of inconvenience from an unexpected car issue.Very glad I chose to take my vehicle to them.

I just got my truck back from getting my transmission rebuilt. I do have to say customer service was great and they helped with the cost of it. But I got my truck home and inspected the work done to my transmission. Its shifts a lot better than before and seems be done well but it seems they rushed the install. They had my truck 48 hours after they said it would be done and when I looked at the work they left a vent hose unplugged and my wiring harness is rubbing my driveshaft. They seem like great people there but I would have appreciated alittle more care when they installed my transmission.

One of the hardest things to find today is a good quality AND trustworthy mechanic. I have found just that, at this Aamco location. Staff is extremely friendly as is the owner. Theyre always willing to go the extra mile. I always leave there with peace of mind, knowing that they treat my car the same as theirs.

Aamco had friendly and knowledgeable staff that helped me with my transmission solenoids. They were quick with communicating what they were doing. I highly recommend them and will use them in the future.

From my most recent visit there I would most definitely go back to them over the place that I had went to before that didnt know anything about my honda...AAMCO they could tell me more about my car so if u r looking for a place u should try them..

I originally contacted Aamco to do a engine check for my 2005 Hyundai Accent in 2015. Dropped it off over night, and Jeremy contacted me the next day with a decent quote on a rebuilt transmission n labor. We had them go head and start it after that call ended. I had my car back and running in great shape 2 days later. Only cause they were waiting on a part. We have been coming here for everything they cover ever since. The WHOLE TEAM IS AWESOME!! Theyre very professional as well as friendly :) I couldnt have asked for better service. Just wanted to add as a woman I must say that a business ran but ALL men.... the bathroom was one of the cleanest I have seen in any business EVER! Thanks for putting up with us today. Jeremy was awesome.My friends, family, and children will never do business with them again.They break things while disassembling and then tell you you need a new one and chatge you labor.They use firestone for their alignments. Took 2 alignments to align my vehicle and its still not right.Wouldnt trust them to fix a bicycle.Good people.Bad company.

My van was acting up and I called the number when they were closed and got the owners cell who took time to explain it all to me on his day off. When I took it in the next day, they diagnosed it, explained to me my options and fixed it for a great price in great time. I will be doing all my automotive services and maintenance here from now on.

I took my vehicle to be checked because it was shaking and they checked everything. Found a loose clip snapped it back together without charging me. They did find a needed repair and presented me with a full estimate and diagram of were the repair is needed. I would highly recommend them as they are honest and very prompt with keeping my family safe.

I was in Evansville this weekend from Milwaukee, about an 8hr drive. My failing u joints were making an awful noise. Aamco got me in...on a Saturday, an hour before they closed, and stayed 2 additional hours past close just to make sure I was safe driving home. I could not thank them enough, and I would recommend them based on customer service alone, not to mention doing a great, professional job on the repair. This shop is outstanding!!

The mechanics at AAMCO in Evansville went above and beyond. I live two hours away in Bloomington and they stayed after hours to replace my radiator the same day of diagnosis and made sure I wasnt stranded without a car two hours away from home. Great guys, great service, highly recommended.

Jeremy and the staff was real helpful friendly and answered every question that I had I did not have an easy problem to fix it was a 99 Ford F250 four-wheel drive and I stuck with it and got it done I would highly recommend you go talk to them if you have a problem this is vehicle I have taken to him

My mother car kept stopping while driving so I called Aamco and they asked me to bring it right in , which I did. One of the mechanics noticed that it was due to a Ford recall that my mother was never notified of, they called the Ford dealer and schedule same day appt for the recall to be fixed . They then took the car to the dealership since my mother didnt feel comfortable driving it . They then went back to the dealer to get the car ans bring it back to their shop for us toto pick-up . The employees at this Aamco on Oak Grove Rd went over and above for us! I have never had a better experience with auto mechanic . Trust them with your vehicle needs !

To start, Jeremy is the man. I cannot stress enough how awesome this particular Aamco is and how fair they are. I recently moved to the area and have no where to work on any of my vehicles anymore. They got me in multiple times in no time at all. Jeremy who works up front knows cars as well and can go over all bills and give advice on top of the great technicians they have. Twice now I have watched him call multiple car part stores and yards to find the cheapest price for Aamco customers, and the fact that they do business with all auto part stores and yards in the area means they are always looking for the best parts and best prices to use on their builds. Until I get a garage of my own again I will certainly always return to Aamco here in Evansville and I am confident I will be treated fairly and get the best price every time.
