Awesome place to rent a pontoon boat! Our group rented 2 boats to fit all of us. The boats are in good condition and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and took pictures for us and walked all the dads through how to drive the boats. Definitely recommend this place, keep in mind you need $10 for parking.

I won’t say i didn’t have fun. but i know it could’ve been better. I rented a boat for a full day and almost 40 minutes later the engine broke down on us. it took an hour for an employee to bring us another one so we lost that then we swam at crab island for around 3 hours and started to ride around for another 45 minutes and our replacement boats battery died and didn’t start . it took another hour for an employee to reach us and did help us out. at that point we were frustrated so we decided to not take the risk of getting another bad boat. We spoke to the owner and he was very kind and respectful and he gave us 3 jetskis for an hour to make up for our hours we lost on our boat. This place is very great on costumer service. just watch out for the bad boats 😂

Had a great time with the full day boat rental! The ladies in the booth made the process smooth, Carl and James loaded the boat for us and help everyone get on the boat. Everyone was extremely helpful would recommend!

Let the kids go parasailing. They had a great time. The company offered a photo package which came in the form of a SD card. Its not a cheap thing to do but what is in a tourist town.

Frustrating experience. LONG WAIT times even for people with reservations and you have to PAY FOR PARKING! They really need to improve/implement a process to take care of patrons with reservations before those without. We arrived 45 minutes early, stood in line for 30 minutes in the hot sun (no covered area) only to get to the window and get forms with clip-boards handed to us to fill out which took another 5-10 minutes. We couldve been filling those forms out while we waited. The parking situation was terrible, people with reservations should not be charged! Not after spending hundreds of dollars to rent a watersport. When we finally got down to the dock area to get on our pontoon we had to wait another 15 minutes for the family who rented it before us to get off and for the crew to clean it. And thankfully we had a blue-tooth speaker - the one on the pontoon did not work.

BAD EXPERIENCE WITH PERSONNEL-PONTOON WAS OK. We scheduled and paid for a 4 hour rental from 10 am to 2pm today. Completed the online scheduling and all the family completed the online waivers yesterday. Arrived at the Destin location and discovered we had to pay a $10 fee to park in the lot which we werent expecting-luckily our 2 vehicles had cash tucked away. We walked up to the sign in trailer to find out what we needed to do to start our rental. A young lady gave us a paper and told us to proceed to the dock since wed done everything online ahead of time. We got on the boat and headed out. We had arrived early so we were able to get started early and were told to have the boat back by 2 so we actually were going to get an extra 30 min which was great!! We were out cruising having a great day then we noticed the skies began to darken a bit. We called the office to ask what the procedure was if a storm came in. We were told everything was fine as long as there was no lightning--if there was lightning to proceed to any dock. Wed only been out for an hour but decided to head back. We could see the skies getting darker and could see the rain on the horizon. We stopped at Crab Island for a bit to wait it out. Once we saw several lightning strikes we felt it best to head back to the dock - our grandchildren were frightened so it was not an option to stay out on the water just waiting. We arrived and docked the boat, unloaded our belongings & headed back to our vehicles. When we arrived back to our rooms we called to ask about a possible partial refund or maybe a credit for a later rental but were told once the boat left the dock there were no refunds (which after re-reading the waiver we completed online it does state that fact). A few hours later I received 3 phone calls, 2 voicemails and 2 text messages asking why we had not returned the boat that was supposed to be back at the dock at 2pm. One text and one voicemail advised that we were being charged $100/30 min that we werent back. I didnt have my phone with me this afternoon and discovered the messages/texts around 4pm when we returned to our room. As soon as I listened to and read the messages I called them back. I called the 1st phone number back that had left a message and spoke with Donna Irwin-she was nice and apologized for the error. She explained they are short handed and hadnt received notification from the guys at the dock that we had returned the boat. I then called back Chuck Highers, the person who had left a pretty nasty voicemail about us not answering our phone or text messages. When he answered & I identified myself he started in with You were supposed to have that boat back by 2pm! We had to refund folks money who were sitting here waiting for the boat you didnt have back here! I let him go on then told him that we had returned to the dock an hour after going out due to the storm. He was quiet for a few seconds then said There must have been a mistake with the paperwork then. Well now I have to figure out which boat is missing! Im sorry. and hung up the phone. This was our first vacation to Destin and our first experience with Discount Watersports - needless to say if we ever come back we wont be using these folks for ANYTHING again!

It is my first time writing a bad opinion of a place in Destin florida where all businesses have wonderful, respectful and nice people in this business I do not recommend that people who do not speak English go because they say that if you do not speak English you can not enter the sea ​​in their Jet ski because all the posters in the sea are in English we told him to join a large group of people who knew how to speak that would not be a problem but still they insisted that they did not speak English they cannot go to the sea in our jet ski They called his manager and the man answered he does not speak English he cannot join our team we know that complying with the laws is the main thing but because we do not know how to speak English we have no right I only ask God to have mercy on those people with such a heart bitter and a twisted mind because we continued with our vacations but they lost good clients.

We scheduled our 4 hr pontoon rental today thinking we would get the double decker with slides. We chose this company specifically for this and our kids were super excited about it. All the pictures throughout the checkout process showed the double decker with slides. When we got there today we were told that wasn’t what we purchased and were given a regular pontoon boat instead. Obviously our kids were disappointed as all of us. The guys working at the dock were nice but this is very deceptive advertisement. For the price I suggest going somewhere else with better business etiquette.Edited to add since it won’t let me respond to your comment. I have screen shots showing what we booked and it shows pictures of the double decker with slides. That’s extremely deceptive! And I would post pictures but it won’t let me. I’ll gladly send them to you but considering you changed the picture today after our incident that says a lot. Even our confirmation email shows the double decker with slides.

Took my family there today it was 600$ for a GUIDED TOUR of Crab Island on paddle boats.. They paddle boats were in horrible condition and my boyfriends chain broke on both his peddles!! They GUIDE had to take his off and put them in my boyfriends boat and we were in the middle of the ocean with boats coming and the guide pointed and said the Island is over there!! This was a horrible experience for me and my family!! And the man who called me back about it was very rude and disrespectful!! We will never be back to this place....

We rented our 4 hour pontoon and had a blast at crab island!!! Justin was extremely helpful with everything we needed and we will definitely be going back...also I would like to say that it’s hard to find good help these days and Justin is definitely a hard worker.

We went out on the dolphin waverunner trip with Brandon. He was great!! We saw at least 20 dolphins and he took the time to show us around and make sure we had fun. Already looking forward to our trip next year.

Quick and easy process. I called last minute and was able to make a reservation. Employees explained everything very well and were super friendly. Boat was nice and clean! If I ever come back to visit I would book with them again....

Loved it. $95 per hour and it takes about 15 mins to leave the marina and get 15 to get back in. Staff asking for tips.

We had to cancel at the last minute due to some unforeseen circumstances and they were very understanding and accommodating. I have never encountered such wonderful people. Im very sad we didnt get to experience the pontoon and crab island, but will definitely go back to this business when we come back to Destin. A++++++ service!! Thank you!

Fun time. Seems like they have been having maintenance issues with the boats. Our boat broke down on us but im leaving a 5 star review because they made it right and the service was excellent. Im a service type of person and their service was impeccable so I thank them for that. Still a great time overall.

Terrible service , me and my family was told we would have a guided tour but was took the sandbar and left behind with broke boats and had to guide ourselves back to the doc and the people were very rude.

We rented jet skis here today and it was wonderful. All of the staff were quite friendly and helped us get everything in order. The jet skis were brand new and ran very nicely. It did take a while to get out of the no wake some but they gave us an extra 15min to make up for that, which was great!

Josh Brandon and Jordan were all awesome. We will only rent pontoon boats from these guys. They really know their stuff!

The only helpful staff was the guy at the dock helping us load and unload. Made reservation and moved it to the next day due to rain. We were told all was good and the same Double decker with slides was available for our new date. Got there and it was given to someone else. Staff said they told me that it was me available which they didnt and that I hung up on them when they told me this. All a lie. I called in and none of this true. I was never told this and I never hung up. The girl could not remember what time j called because she made this up. Ended up taking regular panton which was not as fun.

Family came from Mississippi and we rented a pontoon. The girls at the trailer were very nice. Dalton and Tyler took our coolers and everything else to our boat. Thats a first and Ive rented from alot of places here. Everyone was very nice. Thank you for a great experience! We will definitely be back!

I gave a 1 Star all because of a lady in the office named Jhonna. I think she doesn’t care about the costumer satisfaction. There was a dude David and he was so friendly and more reasonable. He wanted to help us but that lady was bugging and being Salty. I rented a wave runner that was good. All the other staff was nice and doing great

We Booked A Reservation Online And Had A Appointment For 12:45. We Get To The Place And They Told Us We Were Not Found In The System. So We Pulled Out The Email and Confirmed With The Employee That We Had Followed The Correct Protocol. They Told Us To Standby And Wait For A Manager To Call To Apologize But We Never Received The Call While Waiting So We Left. We Werent Even Offered A Different Time Or Date. The Service Was Not Professional At All. Do Yourself A Favor And Take Your Business Elsewhere If You Want To Be Able To Enjoy Yourself Without Complications.

We chose this business for parasailing and pontoon rental. We could not ask for better service!! Our parasailing staff were Gavin and Cpt. Dave....phenomenal!! They were so kind and made it a positive experience for all. The pontoon rental was awesome as well. The only thing I would change is I wouldve rented it more than one day!! I highly recommend this business. They helped make beautiful memories for my family!!

Had great time doing the dolphin tour. The guides where very helpful. Showed us all around and gave us a lot of free time. Loved the trip. Jet skis max out at about 60 mph with one person.

Do not waste your money! Go somewhere else! Please.....It was a complete rip off. First the girls upfront didnt know if they could rent for an hour or less or more. They kept tell me one hour is this much. The guy at the dock gave confusing instructions.They gave me a jet ski and asked me not to accelerate till I went past the bridge. When I got back the guy tried to blame me for some damage that was already there.These are a bunch of young punks who are not professionals. They make you pay upfront and no matter how bad of an experience you have with them they just dont care period.

Two bad things earn a 1 star. 1.) The office staff is not appreciative of your business. You will find more delightful personnel at your DMV. 2.) They originate in the harbor and it takes a good chunk of your time to get out from the no wake zone to a point where you can go fast. Same problem coming back. It would be better to find a company that does not originate in the harbor, perhaps one of the many I have seen along the beach.

There is another review on here referring to Captain Jeremy and the parasailing lasting 6-7 minutes. We gave this company a shot. I was disappointed to find that when we arrived we had captain Jeremy and they cut the parasailing short to about 6-7 minutes and then offered everyone an extra ride for 20 bucks just like the previous review had said. The company replied to that review stating that is not how they do business and would discuss with their crews, not sure that happened or it didnt do any good. The parasailing was fun, would have preferred for it to be longer for the money you pay. I wouldnt recommend parasailing in this area with this company for the money they charge.

We planned a family vacation and used discount watersports for our pontoon rental. Prices were great but once we arrived 7/3/19 the parking was so bad that we lost time on our boat. A maintenance guy was there and made us a parking spot right as u turn in....Kinda dangerous but hey it was parking...We had it reserved from 10-6 and didnt get on the pontoon til 1130....(fast forward a little) OUR family decided to go parasailing so we decided to use them again but arrived way early to make sure we were parked before our time so we dont miss out(I know your wondering why use them again..., well I believe in second chances)....went to check in our 6 pre paid parasailors and 2 spectators and they said that they didnt have room for the 2 spectators (mind you I called twice before I booked to make sure sure they could still come along because we are from Texas and all the adults were flying which ment no sitter for the 6 and 9 year old) They did nothing to accommodate us except refund my ticket since I would have to stay behind. It took alot of debating for us to do this as a FAMILY and they took this experience from me. It would have been all of our first time and it was also our anniversary memory and my sons graduation gift. Thanks alot discount watersports for the pontoon rental and the parasailing for half of my family and also foe taking this family experience away from us. I will not be doing business with you anymore.

There isnt much to comment on as far as the services they provided because all they did was take our money and give us the jet skis. The jet skis they gave us were fine and preformed very well. The reasons I thought that they deserve a one star review is for 2 main reasons. The first reason is the wait to get the jet skis, we got to the trailer that the rent the jet skis out of at 1:30 and there was only one person there helping about 20 people. It took about an hour for us to finally sit down on a jet ski and the whole time we were waiting there was absolutely no shade which was some kind of hell. The second and much more upsetting issue came when we got off the jet skis. There were 3 of us in our group and one of our jet skis had a scuff mark that the people there blamed us for even though we had no incidents while we were out on the water that could have caused that scuff mark. Despite what we told the manager he didnt car and preceded to charge us an extra 100 dollars on top of our $400 bill. The way they conducted the inspection of our damages led us to believe that they had charged multiple people for the same damages just to make a quick buck. There are plenty of places in destin to rent jet skis and the prices here arent that competitive so just go somewhere else.

1 star because Parasailing on website says flight is supposed to be 10-12 min long and ours was only 6 min. To top it of after all groups had their parasailing flight our captain Jeremy said there was enough time left for 2nd rounds if anyone interested (Jeremy & assistant) offered $20 charge/person.... I was so disappointed to find out the reason why they were cutting parasailing flights short.. They are trying to make profit for their own by taking groups flight time n using it to offer 2nd rounds when it was supposed to last 10 min long at least according to website. The money was not worth the experience for the time they gave us on flight, i feel ripped off and would never consider them again.

Ill give a 2 star because we had alot of fun! -3 because they told us the gas gauge was broke so it said E. Well we were right and on our way back from crab island the boat died. We tried calling for 25 minutes and thankfully the patrol saw us. They had to tow us all the way back.

Little girl that answers the phone is rude and very unprofessional. I guess she doesnt care about business for the company. Our trip was cancelled and when I asked when they made the decision she told me over an hour ago. I asked why didnt you call and notify me. She argued with me that someone called you. When I asked if she wanted to see my call log, she just shrugged her shoulders. I would highly recommend using another company .

This is our 4th consecutive year coming to discount water sports. They have the best prices and their staff on the loading boats are real friendly and helpful all the time. Tyler and Parker are two of the coolest dudes lol will definitely keep coming back here for our next yrs vacation!

Discount Water Sports went out of their way to make our experience pleasant and relaxing. The last thing you want when spending a day on the water is hassle and they made sure our waverunner and pontoon boat rental was smooth and easy. The staff was friendly and the prices were great. The only thing I would say is to check the weather before you head out. We learned the skies can turn pretty quick and its no fun ending the day early because of an unexpected thunderstorm. Obviously, that wasnt their fault so - minus the storm - Id say the day was an A+++.

The girl checking us in(long blonde hair) was very rude to say the least. We booked online and had 4 riders but one who couldnt go because she is 5 well there was no place online to add an extra no flyer so when we showed up the rude lady said sorry boats full.. we asked anything else we could do she just stared at us and said nope. Very disrespectful and heartless. Dont know how someone so rude can work with families on a daily basis.

Great prices on rentals

We made our pontoon reservation online. Paid and have received our tickets. We never got a call or an email notifying us of cancellation or option of possible rescheduling due to inclement weather. We arrived to the dock 30 mins before reservation time to find out that their office is closed. When trying to call them, there is no one answering the phone. We left them a voicemail to call back but never heard from them. This is HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

You need at least one hour on a jet ski because it takes you 15 to 20 minutes just to get out to an area where you can do speed over 5 miles an hour.
