Captain Hal and First mate Thomas we’re amazing! They had everything. Stung by a jelly fish? They have spray. Brought a deflated float? They have a pump. Once there they help out wherever they can! If you forgot something on the boat they would grab it for you and hand it to you so you don’t have to climb out the water. Would definitely recommend!

This was an amazing cruise!! SunVenture 2 was a blast and we will absolutely be back!! They never got TOO close to the dolphins like some of the other cruises (they ran right over top of them even though they weren’t glass bottom boats) but instead let us see them in their natural habitat. It was a beautiful night, and one I will remember for the rest of my life.

This tour was pretty cool. I didn’t care of the parking situation. First you see signs that say pay by app only then you have a random man walking around asking for parking payment and he refused us a receipt at first but we asked how can we prove we paid, then he gave our group tickets. Very odd situation. lol but the actual cruise and our guides were so nice and fun! Make sure you tip your cruise staff!

We had a great experience on the sunventure 2 with captain Hal and first mate derick! It was my 4 year old son’s birthday and they made it so special for him. My son has been talking about them since we left. It was great for our family and I highly recommend it to anyone else. We were up close and able to see lots of dolphins. We definitely felt safe and had fun the whole time!

So glad we used SunVenture! Everything was very organized and easy with the booking, waivers, reminders, confirmation- even a text that they would be set back a few minutes. (and the boats are better).This was my first Crab Island experience and was with two friends and our teenage kids. There was plenty of room on the boat for our bags and coolers and most of the boat was shaded. They have floats on board, or will gladly inflate your own. My daughter rented a paddle board and the others snorkeled. I feel like any age, young and old would have a good time.Our captain landed us in just the right spot that I would have been too nervous to attempt with my boating experience. I never used the toilet but it was nice to know it was there.Daniel and Spencer made the trip even more enjoyable with their singing and dancing while we were docked. They were happy to help you on and off the boat or grab a drink from your cooler. When people enjoy what they do it definitely makes your experience even better.On the way back, Daniel spotted dolphin out beside our boat so we got an extra treat seeing them.Don’t question which Crab Island option you should choose. I saw them all- SunVenture is 100%

A great way to get to crab island

The Sun Adventure II cruise we took to Crab Island was Awesome! The Captain Daniel and his mate Spencer were so much fun. They were very accommodating to everyone’s needs. They had a pump for floats, snacks for purchase if you didn’t bring any. The excursion was amazing! We met wonderful people and had a blast. Thanks Daniel and Spencer for an awesome time!!

This was hands down one of the best experiences we had while in Florida, Captain Hal and Thomas were so welcoming, friendly, funny and hospitable. My Girlfriends and I (total of 6) came to Destin to celebrate a birthday and do a girls trip. I will definitely tell anyone who asks to use Sun Venture ll for a great time and value!!

We had a blast and the captain and first mate were so accommodating and awesome! My family went on the 4 hour crab island tour from Destin. Hal and Thomas were the best caption and first mate!! Both knew so much about the area. Thomas was willing to help with any task needed from getting drinks out of the cooler to taking the best family photos ever. We will definitely return!!!

Don’t use this company for cruises to crab island. They canceled 15 mins after the cruise was going to leave. Apparently if you don’t have more than 8 people to show, the revenue isn’t enough for them to honor the folks that had booked and paid already. I then had to call and leave multiple messages to get the $170 refunded for the two of us. This was the last day of our 10 year anniversary trip and this company screwed it up. Stay away from this place and use another charter in Destin.

Sun Adventure II with Captain Hal and his mate Thomas was 100% amazing and fun! We had a great time at Crab Island and they were 100% customer service from start to finish! When we come back to Destin, we will absolutely use them and their boat to take us back out. Thank you guys for a wonderful trip with me and my family!!

Captain Daniel and First Mate Mattie made it such a fun experience! Saw lots of dolphins and a gorgeous sunset! Had a wee bit of trouble finding the check-in place because their name isnt very large on the sign, but we made it and had a lot of fun.

Everything from purchasing tickets to signing liability waivers was super easy for our group of 21! Both boat options to crab island were awesome, with a bathroom on board, tubes, noodles, water guns, footballs etc. along with snacks and drinks for $3 each. Captain Hal and Thomas were awesome and attended to everyone’s every need whether it be helping people into water, grabbing people new drinks, throwing tubes and collecting trash. They were there to make the experience enjoyable! Remember to tip them!

This cruise is slightly pricey, but it was totally worth it. Service was excellent and we spent almost 4 hours on Crab Island. By the way, the Crab Island experience is a must if youre here, and using these guys to get you there will make it even better.

What a fun time. Captain Daniel and First Mate Kenzie took great care of us. Great service on the boat and off While your enjoying the water, they gladly retrieve fresh drinks from your cooler or whatever you need. They assist us older folks up and down the ladder with a smile on their faces. Definitely would book again with Captain Daniel and Texas’s own First Mate Kenzie.

Horrible customer service and absolutely unresponsive once they lock you in and there is an issue. We were family of seven and they charged us $314. We had a sick child and we called a day before and asked either cancellation or booking be moved to a different day. representative said they were booked for the entire week and she would text her manager to see if they can cancel it. No communication after this call either email or through phone. They recognized my phone and they would not pick up. Had to call them three more times from a different phone and each time same answer : “let me text or email my manager to see if canceling is possible.” If they were so booked out you would think they will be able to cancel my booking and replace it with another one in the wait list. They want to get your money even without providing any service. Main reason we booked through them was the good reviews. Not sure how they got the good reviews as they seem not to care how real customers are experiencing their business. Will not do business with them again .

My family and I have traveled the world. Never have I experienced such an unprofessional behavior from a business/company. Some representative of this company reached out to me for a confirmation call. She told me that the dolphin sunset cruise was sold out. She said that when I made the reservation, I did not include my 1 year old infant. I reiterated that, i did indeed put that on there. She kept harping that her system and email does not show that. Then she hung up and called someone high up in the ladder. She called me back in a few minutes and said that she spoke to someone higher up. Please note that she does not even reveal who the higher up is.Then she said that she wont be able to let my infant on the cruise because it was my mistake that I did not put her on the online reservation. She offers to reschedule me for another cruise in two days. And I outrightly refused because we had other plans. But the best part is about to come. She refused to give me a refund.That is what baffled me. Their greed for money, their outright selfishness to over book and oversell the cruise and not refund my hard earned dollars. That lack of integrity and ethics angered me even more. Regardless, thanks to an open market and competition, I got my family in for a dolphin cruise tonight.Sun whatever cruise, beware that your lack of integrity will cost you in the long run. For me, it is the loss of 70 something dollars (that is the amount I tip the waiters in a steakhouse) but you will lose your customer base if you behave like greedy, avaricious company owners.

The crew at SunVenture cruises was very good and kind. They were fun and professional. They really took care of their patrons. We were a bit disappointed in Crab Island itself. We thought it would have a bar/restaurant and a big play place but all it turned out to be is a bunch of boats just anchored so people could walk around in the water. There were a few venders but we did not see very many. The captain said it was kinda early for some. We did the 9-12 trip

Our Cruise with Sunset ventures II was phenomenal!! Great hospitality and very kind for all the families aboard.

We booked our trip to crab island on a Wednesday evening for Friday afternoon. Upon booking we were told that the 48hr cancelation policy was not available due to the time we were booking, this was okay with us. On the day of our trip we traveled out to crab Island at 1:45 for a 4 hour trip. Unfortunately, our trip was cut short by 2 hours due to an impending storm. We were not offered any discount, rebooting offer, etc for the fully paid trip being cut short. Furthermore, information as far as activities available on crab island were not adequately disclosed. I would not recommend this $200 trip for 3 to anyone.

We used several different companies for different cruises on our trip to Destin. These guys were by far the best! We were on Sunventure cruise 2 with Captain Hal and Thomas. Hal gave us some history, which I loved, and he was funny. Thomas was really kind and consistently working to accommodate guests. A lot of the other providers we used seemed apathetic or disinterested in their jobs, these guys treated tourists with respect, like were people... and they made our time a blast.I would definitely call them and ask what you should bring, we ended up grabbing a bunch of stuff to take with us like floaties and snorkels before we went. But they did have some stuff that you could use while on Crab Island.

This business is a sham! We booked a dolphin cruise for 2 adults and one infant and one toddler and they cancelled at 1 hour before it saying we booked only for one child and refused to refund and would only honor it on day they choose which was a day we already had something planned. This is a horrible business with absolutely no ethics.

My best friend and I went on the Sunventure II cruise last weekend on our trip to Destin. It was definitely one of the highlights of the trip! Daniel was extremely helpful and took many great pictures of us. He knows his angles. He helped us getting up and down the ladder and even helped my friend unscrew the cap to her nip (airplane bottle). He also gave us restaurant recommendations and all of them ended up being a 10/10. We would definitely book the Sunventure II again and specifically request Daniel.

This was so much fun!!!! We rented the boat for a full day for $300. This is a little pricey but worth it. Especially considering the peak season rate. We took 8 children and 4 adults and we had plenty of room. The kids loved crab island and the trampoline park and the adults got a little bit of peace while they played. We plan on making this an annual trip! Highly recommend this adventure.

Toes in the sand, cigarette smoke in the air... is there anything better? The only downside was the “sea lice” that attacked my legs with fury. Aside from that, great.

Great experience and great value on the dolphin tour! Captain Hal and Daniel kept the tour fun and interesting all the way through and made everyone feel welcome and appreciated. Good music was played and at a reasonable volume for listening but not being too loud to distract from viewing or socializing. Captain quickly found dolphins and positioned the boat for a great view of the sunset for picture taking, which the first mate assisted with so groups could have everyone in their shots. Alcohol can be purchased from a nearby bar and taken on the boat.

Had a great time with Grant and Larry. They tell you it takes 25 mins to get to crab island but it only takes 5-10. If you bring floaties theyll inflate them for you. Also, bring cash to tip and for other rentals the have (jet skis, paddle board, kayak) and food. Bring your own alcohol!

I had a reservation and sun ventures never called to let me know they canceled the morning of bc of “technical difficulties.” I understand if you don’t have enough people to go but to not even call?? Very unprofessional. Refunds take 10 days.I asked to speak with a manager and “no one available.”Found another place that was absolutely wonderful and very accommodating.

Nothing to do! NOTHING!No kid activities. No kid attraction. 2 floating food shacks and 1 “general store”. No kayaking. NO FLOATING BARS! Alcohol hasn’t been sold there for years (according to locals). Complete waste of time and money!The only good thing about all of this was the boat ride of maybe 20min there and back. Not going back. It was 10 of us...10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

I recently booked a dolphin cruise for September 20th. Sunventure contacted us a hour before the cruise and canceled the cruise. They said I could get a refund for the cruise which I have yet to receive! When called and questioned about my refund they keep saying 5-7 Business days which have come and gone still no refund. I am very disappointed and I would not recommend using this company. They are very unprofessional liars and they will steal your money. Then after posting this review they went back in my account and charged me again for a cruise I did not go on. I am going to sue them for fraud because I have proof and my bank statements dont lie.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

Absolutely outstanding! Sunventure 2 Captain Hal and First mate nick was absolutely incredible! Very informative, anyone who has never been in the ocean or is nervous they make you feel very comfortable! They tend to their customers very well! Whether its needing a towel, drink or photos they are more than willing to help. Ive been in Florida 2 weeks for vacation and this is most definitely the highlight of my trip. Also its not guaranteed but we were lucky to be surrounded in dolphins. If you are looking into going to crab island I would definitely suggest them! I will be back next month in August and already have booked 2 more trips with them. Also if you forget snacks they sell them onboard for $2. They deserve beyond 5 stars!

The boat was full and we had to wait for last minute stragglers arriving late! I did not expect the boat to be so crowded considering the virus out there. Basically it was just a trip out to the island to hang out for a bit and then back. I was not impressed.

Very relaxing ride and we actually got to see dolphins. Size of the boat is not as big as other of the dolphin cruises, but we liked it because wasnt as crowded as the others. Would totally recommend!

Crew were good but 250 for 5 minute ride then paying for one inflatable course for 3 with all the jellyfish a complete waste of money. I would like a full refund. Awful experience for family of 5 and all on the boat. Sorry they knew the jelly fish were bad stop the boats when they are. The worst trip for my family ever.

Our family took the 10 to 1 trip... basically they took us there and dropped off boat and walked around .. we felt that 163.00 for three hours then 10minute boat ride back and drop off was pricey compared to other excursions we did that week. Nice crew but over priced ...

Too many people on this boat. Everyone was shoulder to shoulder then we just went in the same circle for 2 hours waiting on the fireworks.

Horrible. Would never recommend this place at all. Spent over $100 to just sit on a boat, was unaware that we would be in a area covered in jelly fish.Biggest waste of my time. The co captain even said “ oh well.” And she was also making personal calls while we waited for her service. She kept getting upset that the children were too scared to get into the water due to the high volume of jelly fish. I mean what do you expect lady? And I’m sure with all the children on board they just didn’t care for our group they weren’t speaking to our group at all.Biggest mistake. Do not even waste your money on this trip at all.

Captain Larry and First Mate Joe provided humor, assisted with photos and even made sure we saw a few dolphins at the end of a perfect day. Booked by phone with Cynthia and she was awesome with information! She was very helpful with directions and had plenty of answers to all my questions. I received a confirmation email when I booked and also the day of my trip! My advice for this tour: BE ON TIME! Traffic in Destin is bad, plan to leave your condo an hour earlier than normal so you have time to get there. Also, bring cash if you want to use it for things at Crab Island. Most places and things dont take cards. There is no alcohol for sale at CI anymore and youre allowed to BYOB on this boat, just no glass. Capt Lowry and Deckhand Mark were awesome! So fun to talk to made sure everyone had a great time. Snacks and drinks on the boat (water, soda, etc) were $2 each, cash. You can also rent a paddleboard or kayak frm them to try out around CI! Our trip was a ton of fun and so much cheaper and safer than renting our own boat. Thank you Cynthia, Capt Lowry and Mark for a great time! We will be back!

Loved this island!!! U cannot miss It:)We took a crab island excursion on Monday, July 3rd with sunventures pontoon. It was so convenient and affordable. The captain and the crew were so friendly. And the island was so amazing... we spend 3 hours there but felt like spending the whole day! Its a must visit if you are planning for destin.
