Captain Mike and Carter, his first mate, were top notch! Our weather wasn’t the greatest and they were more than accommodating. We had such a good time and never felt like they were worried about money, they were only worried about us having fun. We immediately recommended them to everyone we knew and have friends that booked the very next day. We can’t wait to come back and see them!

Booked the charter for my wife and I based on the reviews I had read on here. March 30, 2021We went out for 6 hours and had a blast. The fishing was great. My wife doesn’t like or even eat fish but I wanted her to go with me and experience deep sea fishing. Met Capt. Mike and Carter at 6am and off we went. Thirty minutes later, Carter had her catching some Spanish Mackerel. We then headed out further and in short few, she was reeling in 3 at a time. We caught Almaco Jack, Red, White and Vermillion Snapper along with some nice Trigger fish. Unfortunately, the Red Snapper was out of season but was fun to catch anyways. Carter cut up all the meat for us and we even took some in to AJs and had it prepared for lunch.I would highly recommend this crew if you’re coming in to Destin to visit. Great time!

Fantastic day on the water aboard the Huntress! Captain Mike took us to amazing areas to catch everything from Blackfin Tuna to Amberjack. First mate, Carter went above and beyond assisting us in reeling the big ones in, to filleting the fish for us to bring home. Would highly recommend this charter for any Destin vacation!

What a great time! We took our 20 year old son with our best friends and their son on a four hour trip and had so much fun. Mike and Carter were knowledgeable and professional. The boat was clean and organized. The team didn’t waste a minute. We caught a ton of beautiful fish and they were cleaned quickly. We would have given this charter 6 stars if it was an option!

I checked off my bucket list fishing in the Destin Fishing Rodeo. Captain Mike and First Mate Carter made sure that we experienced bottom fishing for Amberjack and Trigger and trolling for Blackfin Tuna and Bonita. I will definitely use them again and I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a fun day of fishing in the gulf.

Only reason I am leaving 1 star is because I cannot leave 0 stars!!!!! I posted a comment on his Facebook page simply asking if this was the same boat that ran my family and I off our fishing spot and it was deleted within a matter of minutes. So I take that as a yes......No comment, no denial, no response,, just a simple deletion.. Let me share my experience......so everyone is aware.My husband, son and I were out fishing on a PUBLIC spot when this boat charged us on Friday August 14th. We were the only boat out on the water in that location (Deborah). He preceded to drive straight as us, I told my husband, Hey watch this boat they are headed right at us. I was bottom fishing and my husband was keeping us on point. The Huntress kept coming at us, did not slow down or alternate course. I assumed boat was on autopilot and the Captin was distracted. I told my husband to move our boat, so he didnt hit us. When we moved our boat to avoid a collision, he stopped right where we were fishing. My family and I were basically bullied off our fishing spot so this boat could fish that spot with their charter guests......Never have I ever been almost ran over by a charter boat over a fishing spot. Unbelieveable!!!! Once they stopped I was throwing my hands in the air, shaking my head at the captain who I could see was at the helm. Seriously not cool, not right!!!! We live here and no one has the right to behave this way.

Just got in from an 8 hour trip with Capt. Mike and Kyle. My three adult children and daughter-in-law went with me for their first-ever deep sea fishing trip. Cannot say enough about the quality of the crew, the boat, the fishing and the experience! We limited out on everything we went for-Capt. Mike worked hard to get us on fish, and Kyle was non-stop baiting, boating, coaching, cleaning and generally being a GREAT guy to be around. Price was amazing, maximum bang for your buck, and well absolutely be back!! Thanks a ton, Capt. Mike! You are the best!

This was by far one of the best experiences I have ever had. I recommend anyone who is wanting to have a good time to charter with them! Next time we come to Destin we will for sure be back! Thanks again for a great experience

We took the 8 hour cruise. The guys on our trip (4 young men 17 to 23) were very excited about this trip and Captain Mike and Groovy (deck hand) did not disappoint. They made the trip fantastic. The weather was great, the rods were always ready and prepped. When one had a fish on the hook, Groovy was there and getting it off very quickly so you were back in the water. We were able to keep 28 fish on our trip. It was fantastic and we would HIGHLY recommend them for a charter!

What a great charter boat! Mike and Carter are first class and work extremely hard to ensure an awesome experience. Very clean boat and kept clean during the trip. Caught a ton of fish with our kids and ended on a beautiful Mahi!

These guys are top notch! Captain Mike and Kyle put us on the fish immediately despite the rough waters and showed us a great time. Kyle even pulled up our sea sick buddies pants for him as he struggled to survive outside the bathroom (why they were down non of us know haha). Absolutely unprofessional and inconsiderate. Captain is uninformed of regulations and is extremely rude. I not would recommend this charter service. In response to the owner, You do not have to charter a boat in order to see someones true character. This boat captain approached us on the water while we were minding own buisness fishing in an extremely aggressive and unruly manner for absolutely no reason at all. After finally leaving he continued to harass us over the radio. There were families and kids on board our boat. And this behavior from ANY captain should not be tolerated. I absolutely stand by my review.

Captain Mike and groovy were awesome! Got a Huge amberjack, a monster snapper and several nice grouper. They worked nonstop to put us on as many fish as they could. I will be back

Had a great time. My buddy and I took a 4hr and ended up getting 16 vermilion snapper and also brought in about 25 trigger fish but they werent in season so we couldnt keep those. All in all we had an awesome time. They knew exactly what was biting and where but also gave us options on what to go after.

A huge thanks to the Huntress Captain and Crew! My Dad, Brother and myself have chartered several boats across Florida over the years and this experience was hands down the best. Fishing in Destin this time of year (September) has its challenges with fish in season and hurricane season; but Captain Mike put us on fish throughout our 8 hour charter. This of course is a huge part of a successful charter, but as anyone who has fished over the years, this is not a guarantee. In my opinion the crew is what you are really paying for and their ability to pass along insights and knowledge from fisherman who do this on a daily basis is the true measure of a boat and can provide you value and an experience no matter if you fill the boat or not. I can honestly say that the Huntress is our last boat we will ever charter for Destin FL fishing and if you are trying to decide on selecting a boat for your charter I assure you that this one will not disappoint. We gain knowledge, laughs and memories that will honestly last a lifetime. This is testament to the effort and energy this crew puts into their craft. Thank you so much for our time with you and we will undoubtedly see you next year!!

Went out yesterday with Captain Mike and Kyle on the Huntress. Absolutely had a great time. Caught Vermillion, Amberine, Mackerel, and bagged out on AJ’s. Capt Mike found the fish and Kyle helped us get them on board. Kyle is one hard working First Mate. Absolutely will go back and take other friends and family.

Awsome day fishing. This was our first time fishing on a personal charter. Mike and Carter are awesome from fishing for our bait to the time we pulled up to our first fishing spot we were catching fish. My son said it was not fishing it was more like catching. We cought so many fish it wore out my two teenaged sons. Thanks Mike and Carter for an aweaome day.
