Technician was courteous and did a great job. I was very pleased. He tested mower after service and it was working fine. But today was the first time I used the mower since the service call and it might need a bit of tweaking. I had to cut about 2 acres this morning and every now and then when I stopped the mower blades and attempted to restart the mower, when I moved the lever to engage the blades the engine would shut off. I was able to work around by moving the mower and retrying several times until I was successful at getting the mower to work. By doing this I was able to get my grass cut. I would prefer not to have to work around. I think a slight adjustment to the belt and/or the assembly might clear this up. Other than this inconvenience I would give a 5 star rating.

The repairman was great and my washer is finally fixed, but I went 6 weeks without a washer. It took 2 weeks to get an appointment in the first place, even though I explained that the washer was locked with wet clothes inside. When the repairman arrived, he didnt have the part he needed, so they made me another appointment 2 weeks later. The part didnt come in, so they made me another appointment in 2 more weeks. The repairman was very knowledgeable and the fix took about 15 minutes in the end. He is the only reason I give the service 2 stars.Unfortunately, even if you have purchased a service agreement with Sears, which I have, this is typical for Sears Appliance Repair.

The technician was terrific!! He found the problem, solved it and didnt make a mess. He was friendly and courteous. The one dropped star was only about the appointment time. We had to wait until the day of the appointment to see what time frame time to expect him. Prior to the day we only knew between 8 and 5 so that wasnt good for planning. It was nice to go to the site and see the smaller window for a time, 2 hours, but unfortunately it changed 3 times during the day.But again, the technician himself was awesome!

I was not pleased with the on-going warranty service for my Samsung Washer. I call 25 October 2019 and scheduled a repair visit for 11 November 2019. The technician replaced the agitation clutch. Washer was very loud during spin cycle. Called back and technician came back and aligned the drum 13 November 2019. The washer continued to have the same issue so I called and had to open another work order 25 November 2019. The technician ordered Rods for the washer. The rods were ordered incorrectly so the part did not come in until 10 December 2019. This did not fix the washer. I sent a video of what the washer was doing and they had me open another work order. The technician came out and ordered another clutch 12 December 2019. I haven received a status or update from anyone. My washer is still broken.

My service technicians name is Anthony. He arrived on time and is a great representation of the saying southern hospitality. I have had several bad experiences with the Sears store in Columbus so when I had to utilize my warranty after using my zero turn mower only once I was not a very happy person. Even more irritating was that I had to wait 2 weeks for repair (I bought the mower because I needed to mow my yard). Anthony showed up and dealt with my frustration in a very curteous and professional manner. He diagnosed the problem and had to inform me that parts would need to be ordered before he could repair. He gave me my next appointment which was in another 2 weeks but said contact me as soon as the parts come in and I will work you into my schedule. I am sure it was easy to pick up on my concern for my yard to continue waiting even longer. Parts came in and after contacting him he worked me in on his next work day which was still about 9 days earlier than my appointment. He kept his word which in my mind shows concern for the customers needs. He could have waited till my scheduled appointment and probably eliminated the extra work for his day. On another service occasion he made the same commitment by working me into his already busy schedule when my parts arrived. He is a wonderful example of someone who truly cares about providing outstanding customer service. A person not afraid to go above and beyond in hopes to make the customer satisfied. I would not recommend anyone to buy a mower from the Sears store but would however reassure them that the Sears repair service tech experience I have had has been awesome, helpful, and very dependable.

My experience with service technician was excellent. My experience with customer service department not so good. It took 6 weeks to get the technician to my house on a brand new lawn tractor. I did receive a $50.00 check but still had to wait 6 weeks before I could cut my grass. The wait time was entirely TOO LONG

Kenmore Elite dishwasher repair. The control panel locked up with a code and water standing in bottom of dishwasher. Had to wait a week for first appointment available. After the repairman repaired the problem and confirmed that he had repaired my dishwasher and left, I loaded and ran the dishwasher. When the dishwasher got to the drain cycle, my kitchen flooded causing water damage to my cabinets and ruined an Oriental rug. I called immediately to Sears and they said they would have the repairman call me ASAP and get back out here, but he did not call. Called Sears again the next day and he then finally called me back and came out to see what the problem was, but only because I insisted that he come that day! He had to order a part that had to be shipped to me (rather than to Sears?)and then couldnt make another appointment to come repair for over another week. So after over 2+ weeks of no dishwasher, two days of being unable to make any plans for the entire day (appointments are scheduled for repairman to arrive between 8am-5pm and can give you no idea of a more exact time like morning or afternoon until the repairman calls to tell you he is on the way), and propery damage that I now must repair/replace, I hope my dishwasher is repaired adequately. Have only run two loads since repair, so keeping my fingers crossed. Will use Sears for repair to this and other Sears appliances that are still under warranty, but will not use them for any repairs beyond warranty period. I have purchased only Sears appliances for the past 35 years, but will most likely not choose to purchase Sears appliances again due to the service that has changed for the worse from what it used to be.

The service Tech, Roger from the Service Provider ... MIT Mechanics told me on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019 that the new carburetor for my Sears Tractor Mower came in and went ahead an installed it. the only problem that I still have is that the carburetor is still doing the same thing. The idle is still running High in Low Idle. So, apparently it is still NOT FIXED.

I have a Jenn-Air. Last week it went completely off. I called our local sears store and they referred me to an 800 number of which I called and and scheduled an appointment. The repair man came came at the appointed time. I explained to him what had happened to my oven and he took out his little electrical wire tester and and checked some wires and he checked the fuse box. All was fine with the fuse box. He said there was nothing he could do because it was the wires and he could not do anything that was electrical and that I would have to call an electrician. He took out his little credit card machine and I gave him my American express card -- I was expecting the 89.00 service call charge but I was charged $80.00 for labor for Wire Repair for a total charge of $169.00. Nothing was repaired!!!!! He told me he was not allowed to do any repairs -- I would have to call an electrician! I thought that was what I had called. You knew (your company) the oven was electric -- why would you send someone out and do nothing to repair it. He only said I would have to call an electrician. I dont think I should have been charged labor when no labor was done. Why send someone out that cant do anything to repair my oven. Please give me an answer. I was very displease with your companys service or rather no service. Thank you.

The service was terrible. Technician failed to determine range was leaking gas. Installed parts on defective appliance. Was not able to return to home after poor service performance. Worst company for appliance repairs. Repairmen are contract employees. Do not contact SEARS for any appliance repairs. Very displeased.

8/15/16Our technician was very attentive to our concerns and promptly took care of our stove top as he said he would. He worked in a professional manner and took ample time to make sure it was installed and working correctly before he left. All was perfect at the time of his departure.What I am going to inform you of concerns the Stove Top itself. It does NOT reflect the technician that worked on our stove top. I repeat the remaining of this review does not reflect the technician who installed the stove top.Unfortunately, our concern for the stove top itself has been an issue for over a year now. It was in perfect shape and ready to use when the technician left. I want to make a note that weve used glass top stoves for many, many years with never one issue.The next morning after the new stove top was replaced for the first use, I used a small, very lightweight ceramic pan to make french toast. When I was finished, I began to wipe down the surface as I always do. I then discovered a crack on the burner I just used and was so disappointed. I am about to make our hot sauces to stock up for the winter and this is not acceptable. I feel like I have to walk on eggs when using it.This product has been a nightmare and I am not 100% satisfied. I would not recommend this product for anyone to use. I was also disappointed with Sears supports lack of care. Since I have had issues with the stove top since we got this product in June of 2015, Sears Support has been dragging their heels to get it done. Now that its finally installed, we are back to square one. We have purchased all our appliances over the years through Sears and am getting weary and not confident in their products or support.What do you propose to do to make us a satisfied customer?

The warranty service number was helpful in setting up an appt., on a Thursday..They used a local repair service so I was bumped by the local services from Thursday until the following Monday..The service guy came on Monday and was very nice and looked into my repair..He told me what he thought the problem was and would have to order the part...He came the next week on the 24th and fixed my refrigerator...Again, he was very nice and did repair my appliance..I will use them again for sure.

The only bad part was waiting for the 3 week re-schedule to install the part. This was obviously not the repairmans fault. Luckily I had another refridgerator I could use.

The only good thing was that the technician was knowledgeable. Other than that CSR and parts department are hopeless. First they shipped the wrong part in 5 days and then they were not even sure if it was wrong part or correct part. There were no managers available to troubleshoot the problem.Never Never & Never will use them again, stay away from them if you want to have problem resolved in a timely manner.

And ordered a new tank. His service was excellent. As it has always been any time he has been out here. We used Sears Home Repair service for a rental home in another town. While I understand from our renters that the service was satisfactory, we were never able to get a phone number for anyone in the US. Sears outsources all of their phone/internet customer service to the Philippines, and even though the repair services were located in the same town as our home, we had several phone calls back and forth to the Philippines. I MUCH prefer dealing with Americans. Some of the customer service representatives had some difficulty with English - repeating information multiple times, researching information multiple times. Also, we were led to believe that the diagnostic fee would be rolled into the service work if we had Sears to complete the repairs, but that did not happen. It is definitely a separate fee, and is added on top of the service work. Overall, next time I would definitely use a service that is completely within the US.

I dont often rant but.... When we moved to Opelika in 2012, we bought a very expensive Samsung refrigerator from Sears. So when the ice maker quit working last month we called Sears service. First time the technician, repaired the ice maker for the modest charge of $300. It never produced a singe cube. The second visit, he replaced the ice maker for an additional $150 parts charge. The new ice maker made a grand total of 8 cubes before expiring. Today, Wayne, who really is a nice guy and is becoming a member of the family, spent 2 hours on the phone with his support people with the ice maker taken apart. When he left he advised he would be back March 1 with the necessary parts to fix the new ice maker. Come on Sears, 6 weeks with only 8 ice cubes that I paid $56.25 each for. Give me a break.

This was the second attempt to repair our washing machine. The technician left without making certain the repair was successful, which it wasnt. We requested that the technician return when we realized the machine wasnt working properly but received no response. We had to call the next day to setup a third service call. This has been going on for over a month. The large parts from the first attempt at repair were supposed to be picked up by UPS but are still sitting on the front porch. We have asked repeatedly that the large boxes be picked up to no avail so we will have to take them to the landfill ourselves.

The ice maker in our almost 10 yr old Kenmore Elite Tri-door has had more service calls and the warranty has been bought enough times to pay for a NEW refrigerator by now. This is the last time I can buy the extended warranty, it expires in 2018. This ice maker in the fridge has been replaced but it seems that we still have problems with it. I have bought Kenmore appliances throughout my adult life and my dear Mamma had them when I was growing up! But this is the last fridge I will own from Kenmore. Again we had a service call, and the technician they sent is always very nice. He took the ice maker out and fixed it but left before he checked to see if water was dispensing from the drinking water line, apparently that became disconnected during the repair and water sprayed out all around the dispenser. Could not get him back on the same day so have to wait on an appointment, again. They insist they cannot estimate morning or afternoon, so you are stuck waiting all day.SO LET ME BE CLEAR--I AM NOT GIVING THE TECH THIS RATING BUT SEARS NEEDS TO OWN UP TO SELLING ME A LEMON, then not covering it as long as I have it with an extended warranty!!! THEIR BAD!

I was very satisfied with the service I received on my tractor. But not so happy regarding the cost. I was told by the representative I scheduled the appointment with it would be $149 and he also stated everthing that it covered. The technician that arrive even had $149 on his work order. He did not do anything beyond what was included, but said his boss said it was $198 after he finished and it was time to pay. I paid and was told by the technician that they would refund me of any over charges. Needless to say there were several numbers I was given to call each time I checked on it, after several days of being given the run around I took the loss. But I am not satisfied...

I am not satisfied YET. Our tech left on September 3rd stating after the third visit we would need to get a replacement washer. He stated due the the labor day weekend it may be Tuesday before our case was looked at, but we should hear something in a couple of days. I called Sears on September 7. They advised me it could take 5 business days to be reviewed. I called Sears on September 12 and was advised no one has touched my case and she would send an email to have it escalated and i would hear back within 24-48 hours. I called Sears on September 14th. Again.... No one has started on my case. Another email was sent. I have been assured I should hear something within 24 hours . I have little faith that will happen!!! I have been without a washing machine since August 13th!! This is a huge inconvenience!!!

Had repairman come out from Sears to do repair on samsung refrigerator. Didnt know how to get control panel off and put four scratches on box. Call sears call center and was told there was nothing they could do. Asked to a supervisor and after several back and forth Chris hung up on me. Tried calling store in Columbus GA but they are closed (out of business). Would like to rate this experience a zero but rating doesnt go that low. Glad Sears is closed because the will never get business from me again.......

We had to wait almost 3 weeks for a technician to be dispatched to service our Kenmore Elite refrigerator (July 26th). After 2 hours and the technician replacing a new compressor, neither fridge nor freezer will cool. I have spent another 3 hours on the phone with the call center management (3rd party call center in the Philippines) and they are asking us to wait an additional 2 weeks (August 9th) to return and troubleshoot the initial issue. Terrible customer service, waiting 5 weeks to wait for a full-warranty repair is a joke. There are no Sears employees in the United States to call to authorized a local repair, or provide a temporary unit since they are so far behind in service. If service takes that long or the technicians are that busy...it might not be a product worth purchasing! Not much empathy from the call center, one instructed me to call an attorney if I wasnt happy...bottom line--WARRANTY HAS TERRIBLE SERVICE, LONG WAIT TIMES, & LITTLE VALUE (save your warranty money for a back-up fridge).

Kenmore Gas Grill repair,Took 3 months to get parts. After finally coming, the technician left his trash laying in front of the grill, replaced the igniter but after it didnt work he did not mention. The side burner worked before, after he worked on grill the knob was bent and now does not turn. I called sears to have corrected and was given a date over a month away. Maybe is 6-12 months I will have a functional grill again

We have a Fisher & Paykel 2-drawer dishwasher that developed a problem in January. I looked online and saw that Sears serviced Fisher & Paykel. I called and I was talked into the Service Smart Repair plan and the first repair was successful.In early May the dishwasher developed another problem and the service calls started. Willie was the first tech and he was great and tried to solve the problem On the 4th service call to repair my dishwasher (on August 8th) I had to show the new tech how to take the cover off to get to the electrical system. The replacement part was installed, but it still did not fix the problem.I am now left with a dishwasher that only has one operational drawer and the tech told me to call back to get the $500 appliance store credit. I was on hold for 30 minutes before hanging up. Ive since found out that the store credit the tech told me that I was entitled to is only good for another dishwasher - not another appliance as the tech told me.Problem is that Sears no longer carries Fisher & Paykel and I would have to switch brands. Bigger problem is that our kitchen cabinets were custom built to handle the Fisher & Paykel and the plumbing was run specifically for Fisher & Paykel.Sears may give me $500 off a new dishwasher, but Im the one left with the expense for cabinet and plumbing repair.The techs that tried to fix the problem were great - the support that they got from Sears sucked. The customer service that Ive received has been horrible.
