I had my car serviced at Duncan Hyundai this week and again I received top-notch attention. Loyd and Dragon are friendly, attentive , and they are quick to understand what needs to be done when I bring my car in. Also, they do not “over service” my car just to bring in more money. I get good work done at a reasonable price. They put a great ‘face’ on Duncan Hyundai. I will continue to use their service as long as I live in the area.

Good buying experience. Would have liked to know about the $599 processing fee up front, their no haggle (no negotiating on listed price) and watch out for the Gap fee they automatically tried to tack on their used car. Other than that it was a fairly easy and pleasant process.

Buying a car from them was a good experience overall. Not the best car buying experience that I’ve ever had, but not the worst either. The staff all seemed very friendly. The only thing that I didn’t like was their no hassle, no haggling price. I couldn’t get them to budge off of the internet price. Which wasn’t a bad price to begin with, but I always feel better if I can talk them down. Our salesman said the reason for the no hassle, no haggling price was to alleviate some of the pressure of buying a car. Which sounds great, until they start trying to push the extended warranty and Armor All protection package on you. Let’s just say at that point you’re going to feel pressured. I felt more pressure on me to buy those extras than I have at other dealers buying the car itself. Our salesman just didn’t want to take no for an answer. I was really close to telling him, “ Look if you’re going to pressure me about buying this stuff, let’s go back and work on that price “. Oh and watch the $299 anti theft charge that they try to sneak in. I would have walked on our deal if they wouldn’t have taken it off.

Making the appointment for service at Duncan Hyundai was easy, they got me in within a week of calling. The waiting area was comfortable and I used my time to catch up on some computer stuff on my laptop. The inspection of the problem was done quickly and the needed part was in stock. Got an oil change done also. Two and a half hours for the service and repair, not bad.

I went today to buy a car for the first time. The sales man Dustin was 10/10 super nice , knew exactly what paperwork, warranty’s etc. to offer. He got the car ready and running as soon as we pulled in the lot. We test drove the Honda Civic and loved it , couldn’t have had a better first experience! Had to go to this dealership due to a Hyundai issued recall letter. Once my inspection was done the service technician dealing with me couldnt really explain to me what they had done to ensure this problem wasnt going on with my vehicle, after a few awkward moments the service manager came out and explained it to me and I was satisfied. The technician wrapped things up with me and made sure to solicit me for a 5 star review.On my way home I noticed the check engine light was on and no it hadnt been before, so when I got home I used the contact form to get in touch and ask why that was. The same technician who had dealt with me earlier called while i was asleep and asked when I could come back in, now mind you I live in Hillsville, and the dealership is in Christiansburg so this trip was about 45 min for me. When I got up ( i work nights) I tried to call but they were closed.I reached out again via the contact form and explained that this was most inconvenient and I really wished that they could have given me my car back in the state I brought it to them in. They will not get back in touch with me, they are careful not to respond to me using e-mail because they know that that provides documentation. Does this sound like the sort of place you want to do business with, they wont even bother to fix something menial, imagine if you had a big problem. Gave one star because it wont let me give anything lower.

Service Manager is very polite, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Today I had an inspection done,technician was thorough and found some ball joint issues. Service Manager explained the problem to me, gave me an estimate of what it will cost. I have another appointment tomorrow 3/19/21 to get another vehicle inspection. Hoping to get better news than today LOL.

Great service experience completing an out of warranty claim. Lloyd and Dragon handled my situation professionally even through I didnt purchase the car from them originally. I would have purchased my new ride from Duncan, but they didnt have the vehicle I wanted in stock and I had to trade my vehicle in rather quickly while the price was at at all time high. A++ for service dealing with a competitors lack of standing behind a purchased extended warranty, Will NEVER purchase another vehicle from Shelor ever again. Despite the disposition, Duncan was my first choice, but the Hyundai side, I came in and was looking at a Type R on the Honda side and looked at the sticker price, applied for credit, only to be told that it was 4k over the msrp sticker price because that was the going rate you guessed it, that was after they ran my credit, Boo Hokie Honda, Shame on you.Highly reccomend Duncan Hyundai as they are indivually operated

I needed a state inspections. The wait was a little longer than I expected, but the waiting area is very comfortable, the employees are very friendly and helpful. The only problem that was found was a recommended 60000 mile maintenance issue. I am confident in their service and recommendations.

Bought a 2011 Rav4 a couple days ago from here. Unfortunately my wife and I havent been able to get the bluetooth working in it which was the main reason we picked this car. I called the salesman figuring he would say, Hey come in anytime and well get that working for you. Instead he said oh ehh I dont know I dont work on toyotas. I came in and he couldnt figure out how to make it work and I told him I was really unhappy with that and thats why we picked that car and he said ehh its really not a big deal. I asked him if there was someone with more knowledge who could help and he said ehhh not really. Then I said you advertised something that doesnt work and he said we dont really check things like bluetooth or electronics. If you buy a used car from here and want a litmus test on whether or not they actually make sure things are working in their used cars or not there you go. I was very upset and the guy just kept saying its not a big deal. We totally got hustled. The customer service is shamefully bad and they are dishonest. Be careful of buying used cars here.

Previous experiences in the past with Duncan Hyundai made me cringe when I had to have my Hyundai towed there for engine repair. Although it took several days to find out what the problem was and if it was covered or not I was very pleased with the customer service I received! Everyone I talked to on the phone were polite, understanding, and helpful.

Called the Service department and had a question about questionable charges from another Hyundai dealer. I wish I had written down the Service managers name, because he was very helpful. He spent 17 minutes explained everything in great detail. I only wish I lived closer to Christiansburg.

Bad bad bad experience, its the first time I was about to buy a car from Duncan. I would never go there in my life, going to buy a car from First Team Hyundai, so here is whole story, Yesterday evening I was at First Team Hyundai dealership at Roanoke and about to make a deal with them, then this guy James Watty called my roommate and told hey we are providing $2500 off on price what we have right now on Hyundai Elantra, and my roommate asked to send and official email with quotes then the guy said he will send us today morning. I called him today morning to get that price quote he said we cannot provide you that without having my credit information. This is reallly bad. Now I am again going to first team hyundai to make the deal.

David was absolutely fantastic!! He assisted my sister in finding a vehicle that was right for her and had everything she wanted. The wait time for processing paperwork was pretty standard but David moved very quickly and we were in and out within a few hours!
