We were recently on our way home when our vehicle suddenly broke down in Christiansburg, VA, an area we had never been in before.Total Car Care & Towing sent out a truck to tow our vehicle. The tow operator, Link, was the most personable and professional driver I have ever met. (I was a police officer for 30 years, so I have met many!)He helped to put my familys concerns at ease, imparted his knowledge/experience with the repair facility we had chosen, helped us to choose a close hotel, and even offered (even in rona-times) to transport us to the hotel (we wouldnt all fit, so we found other means). He was very careful in loading our vehicle, safely delivered it to the repair facility, and secured it properly. He was also very patient while waiting for us to go through our belonging and take out what we would be needing for the next several days.Total Car Care & Towing, and especially Link, couldnt have done a better job in my eyes. I highly recommend them if you find yourself in the area and in need of assistance.

During my travel back to S.C. after a great long wknd. in W.V. my alternator died. on Fathers Day. First thing Mon. I checked 4 repair shops nearby and all told me they were too booked up to even consider putting on an alternator that I was picking up Mon at 1PM. Its been decades since I last did any auto/ engine type work and I struggled. Luckily I called Total Car Care. Chris told me he was about to close Mon. eve. but if I could have it at the shop 8AM Tues. He could get me taken care of. After 45 mins and a charge that I was overjoyed to pay I was back on road for the last 6.5 hrs of what shouldve been a 10 hr. drive. Was not happy about having to spend 2 days in Christiansburg VA. but happy to meet Chris. If he was anywhere close to where I live...his shop and his mechanics would be the only place any vehicle of mine would go for work.

Chris and Derrick helped us in a bad situation that I created myself (stupidity involved!). They were awesome. Went above and beyond! Forever grateful!

Can’t recall his name but he has been with your company a long time and was very experienced. My 18 yr old daughter is a Freshman at Va Tech and we encountered a dead battery on campus which campus maintenance tried to jump off but he had issues. Called Total Car Care and a super nice young man came and jumped off the battery and allowed us to pay over the phone. Best $50 ever and its good to know if she has issues at school we can call them!

Quick and fair

On Wednesday 12/11/19, I had a situation develop on I-81 N between 109 & 114. I called AAA as my car was not able to be driven. Chris from Total Car Care & Towing arrived and had my car up and on the wrecker in record time and I was on my way to my mechanics in no time. The professional & respectful care shown me was exemplary. If you find yourself needing emergency service , I highly recommend Total Car Care & Towing .

I broke down on 81 and called AAA. A very nice young man in a well maintain flatbed got me to the shop. Chris, the manager, got my car right in to the garage so we could assess the problem. It was a strut and tire. It was fixable but would take several days to get parts etc. He gave me expected costs. I decided to continue with my trip and leave my car to be worked on. The local Enterprise rental location was not helpful so Chris called another number got me a great deal on a rental and then had me and all my stuff taken over to Enterprise and got me back on the road. I had both struts and new front tires put on and felt the price was reasonable. The shop is clean and organized and very busy but they seem to handle it with good humor. When I picked up my car everything was ready. I then tested it by driving 4 hours at highway speed and everything was perfect. I am so thankful I broke down where I did and I am able to say what could have been a very bad experience was improved by finding kind people to help and honest people to fix the problems.Id say I had a new mechanic but its a little too far from my home.Thank you again, Chris and Total Car Care, for everything.

Link was extremely helpful after I was stranded on the side of the road with my two small children. Not only did he arrive well before the expected time given by AAA, he also made sure that my family made it to a safe hotel in the area and helped me get all of my things out of my car before taking it back to the shop. We were six hours from home and I was obviously struggling to figure out what to do next. Without the kindness and helpfulness from Link, I dont know what I would have done! Thank you!!

The staff & owner treated me like I was family. My car died on the interstate. I was towed back to there yard where I was told the car motor was blown. I had no way to finish my trip to Georgia except to rent a U Haul truck. I was coming from N.Y. & had no clue where anything was. The staff not only drove me to U Haul 1 time but twice. They even got the phone numbers for me to call. The owner even offered me a job driving tow truck for him. I was treated very well & thank them for all they had done... only can give them 5 stars. They deserve 10 stars.

These guys are amazing. I really messed up my dream car as a 19 y/o teenage boy and was having a pretty terrible day (drained oil thinking I drained transmission fluid) and seized the engine or close to it. They looked at it right away and changed all fluids for less than $200 within a few hours (probably cause they felt sorry for my stupidity) and got me and my 1993 miata back on the road (barely) back to VT 5 miles away. Definitely recommend. They also have a AAA discount.

Their price was much higher than smaller guys in the area. They quoted me significantly more; I hired someone else and then they wouldnt release my car to the other company after saying they would the night before. A lot of back and forth and unnecessary emotion when they knew they were going to get paid from Nationwide. They claimed they couldnt release until they had Nationwides check in hand even though the insurance rep called the day before and they said they would release it. They are not easy to work with ...

Truck slid into a huge ditch tonight, called one place and they said they didn’t have anyone available. Called Total And they were there in minutes! Pulled my truck out and charged a very good price. Chris and Link are outstanding!!

Terrible!!!! They were contacted by my insurance to get me unstuck first guy got stuck himself waited for 2nd guy, he then told me $200 I then said insurance was taking care of it and his reply to me was if he knew the insurance was paying he would have charged them $400 instead of the $200!!!! Needless to say they did get me unstuck just to put me in a place where I was still stuck!!!! I asked before they left if they could wait to see if I was free but as soon as they unhooked my car they jumped in their tow truck and took off very quickly!!!! Then I was told if they come out again it would be $350!!!! I cant see how this people live with themselves!!!! I was stranded for over 24 hours with 2 kids!!! If I my post will help one person from going through what I went through Im happy!!!! What happened to honest people!!!!

Broke down on a Sunday and AAA driver Chris was very helpful! Took us to a motel and set us up with a rate 40 dollars less than quoted. There were restaurants in walking distance and sent a car the next morning to return us to our repaired car. Great Service and kind honest people! Thank you for the help!

Fast, dependable and extremely fair. They will always take on jobs that other shops wont. I have now had 2 repairs done by them that another shop in town said they couldnt do and said the only way I could get it fixed was to take it to a local chevy dealer who was going to charge 3X as much and take 2 weeks to do it. Not only did they do it on both occasions, they repaired it within the same day. I highly recommend their services.

Chris picked us up on 81 and took us to a hotel. Couldnt have been any nicer and lets not forget this is at midnight Im sure he would have much rather been home with his family. He even stopped on the way so my pregnant wife could go to the bathroom. What a great guy

My son broke down on 460 and we called to have it towed. Nathan took his time hooking up to my sons BMW and even backed it completely into the garage at our house at 1:30am in the morning instead of just letting it down and us getting into the garage! Not the first time weve called Total Car Care and wont be the last. Great experience!

The staff here are fabulous!!! Each and every one that I came in contact with went over the top to help my family!! My truck broke down on I-81 while pulling our camper. Of course it was closing time for the day but they took extra time to help us hook up the camper in the parking lot so we could “camp” there for the night as we waited for the truck to be fixed. We were so grateful! The next morning they diagnosed the truck and had us on the road in 3 hrs!! It could have been a miserable experience but they made it pleasant!

They stolen me money. Y call they for change a broken house in me truck. And sey that no can working at road. Them charge me $400 for a towing to they shop. Finally charge me $ for change a simple house.. Dont go there. Be safe

Called TCC to have my motorcycle towed to the mechanic. Chris showed up and was very helpful and personable. He really made sure my motorcycle was safe and secure, and even helped me roll my bike into the garage once we arrived at the shop.

Total Car Care has handled all my repair and towing needs when I lived in NRV. Very responsive, great work, honest, reasonably priced and they explain everything. I have since moved away and twice other mechanics messed up my vehicle. Both times I brought my vehicle back to Christiansburg, over 3 hours away, to fix the problems other mechanics had caused. And I will continue to deal with Total Car Care only. Thank you!!!

Travelling from NY to Georgia, we had transmission problems on a long incline mountain on I-81. We called AAA and Chris the tow truck dirver was there in 30 mins. They were quick, courteous and helpful. Transmission was shot on the 11-year old car, so they contacted a nearby Toyota dealer for us, who picked us up and drove us to their dealership. (and that is another story. All was successful).

Took them 2.5 hours to make it 7.4 miles to the rest stop. Gave specific instructions on what was needed (bolt cutters for a padlock) they came out after an hour and a half (I had to call back, the dispatcher said they hadnt sent anyone out because he wasnt the one who took my first call... And for some reason had forgotten about us.) They get there then have to leave right away because THEY FORGOT THE BOLT CUTTERS! The one thing they needed. They came back again and cut the lock for us.. Wouldnt recommend them if you can avoid it, we didnt have a choice other services did not want to come out on a Sunday

Blessed to be taken care of this morning by Total car care &. towing!! They are 24 hrs and even at 7am the man who answered the phone was extremely pleasant. I called another business called Xtreme that not only told me my issue was not priority but sounded like he answered the phone in bed and made me feel like an inconvenience. Cecil is the name of the man who came to tow our 1998 mustang that we were not ready to say goodbye to. He was a sweet man and about business. He took great care of us !!!! I dont ever leave google reviews but you guys deserve it. Also they were the most fair with the pricing in comparison to 3 others places we called!!!! Will definelty refer and use you guys for any future issues!!!

My Car had broke down had towed to their business to get it fixed. They said it was a bad fuel pump that needed to be replaced so we had them replace it for around 900 dallors. Then after what we thought was fixed we picked up the car and it had started so we went to the store and came out tried to start the car to leave and the car wouldnt start agian after they fixed it. We called them back to let them know the problem was happening again and it wasnt fixed. They came to get my car again took it back to look at it and said they didnt know what the problem was and charged me another 200 for towing and looking at it. I will NEVER let them touch another one of my cars EVER again an i would recommend anyone to not bring your car here. They will overcharge you and not fix the problem with it.

Total car care picked us up at quality inn where we stayed for 2 nights and the truck was fixed monday around 12pm super fast and aforable also great people with great personality! Super pleased!

This place no good take too long and dont work good! ! I change turbo on my truck take two days plus bad work because two months later break down again i came back and they take too long for fix and charged $ 3.684.00 for $800 dollar turbo !! dont do business with them i never came back! !! ! !

My 2003 International dt466 broke down and this company dispatched DG to come tow the truck. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and courtious. Not only did he tow the truck but he also went ABOVE AND BEYOND his job to bring us to our room. Would definately reccomend them to anyone.

Had a good experience with the tech who was dispatched to assist with an issue we were having with a car carrier. Blindsided by a call 2 days later asking for a $350 payment for 20 minutes of work with a screwdriver. Exorbitant and unnecessary gouging. Should be ashamed. Be aware and ask about all pricing in advance of dispatch.
