Ronnies Auto Service is such a gem, I cant express how grateful I am to these folks for always giving me such honest and reliable service. I have a lot of experience with them because I used to drive a really old car, and they would always clearly explain everything that needed to be done and what wasnt worth it, instead of trying to rack up my bill like a lot of places in town had. They truly have saved me so much by being honest and truly great mechanics. I highly recommend this place :)

Fast, affordable and curtious.. Been going there off and on for years. The last time I had my car inspected they stayed 30 minutes after closing so that I could get my car.

M girl went down there for an inspection. Blue chalk still on 4 brand new tires, less than a month old - they said she needed 4 new ones. One busted tail-light - they insisted that she needed every light replaced. I am going to dog these rats indefinitely - from what i have heard from my male friends service there is pretty good - so its probably a female issue... this is a small town - I look forward to ragging on them personally.

My UVA students car would not start and an auto parts store said it was his alternator that was bad and not the battery. He had it towed to Ronnies and they figured it out that it was just a bad battery. They replaced the battery for him. It would have been cheaper to replace the battery ourselves but we are not in town and I am glad that they did not try to sell us an alternator and battery. Thank you for being honest and helping out our student.

About five years ago, my car broke down on the highway and per a recommendation from a friend, I was towed to Ronnies Auto. Happy I did! Not only did they fix me up but their prices were very fair. Since then Ive moved to Charlottesville and have been bringing my car to Ronnies for routine maintenance and service since. Ronnie runs a very fair and honest shop and an all-around great business. Theyve always been kind, courteous, they listen to the whole problem, they know cars extremely well, they never nickle and dime me, they always fix what needs to be fixed - A+ for the company and for the people who work there!

Very pleased with my service. Timely and well-performed. After taking my car to Umansky for services and leaving disappointed after an oil change and tire rotation, I felt like Ronnie’s was real with me and went above and beyond to fix not only my tire but what Umanksy neglected. From my experiences: honest, timely, and affordable.

Knowledgeable and easy to work with. Nevertheless my problem did not get resolved and of course you still got to pay.

Absolutely terrible and unprofessional. I went to this place 4 days in advance and made an appointment with him to do a tire swap on 2 of my vehicles. When I went to drop both cars off at my scheduled appointment time, he said hes not able to do the job anymore. He didnt even give me another time to come back and said he doesnt want to do it anymore and that I should find someone else to do it. He was completely LAZY, INCOMPETENT, and UNPROFESSIONAL. Huge waste of my time, and now I have to wait another 4 days until another mechanic can fit me into their schedule.

Very professional and honest. I trust Ronnie with my vehicles 110%. I drive for Uber and Lyft and he keeps my vehicle in tip top condition and safe. He can tell you ahead of time what you will need and when you will need it.

Ive been taking my cars to Ronnies since 1989. The worst thing thats happened is that they overfilled my oil once, but happily fixed. The place aint pretty, but the service is great.

Great place and amazing staff

I have used them since moving back to Cville in 99. I take my truck, wifes car and company vehicles there.They will tell you straight if something is wrong and not try to up-sell you on what you dont need. If you get it there early Ive always gotten same day service! Try them and see!
