My experience exceeded my expectations! Jeff and his team were very low pressure, or really no pressure. He was very friendly and personable. I wasnt in a super hurry to drive the car off the lot because of logistics with my car that I was driving, and they offered to bring the car all the way to me in Louisa after I got home from my very long workday! Jeff will keep you informed all along the way and made my experience one to remember. Ill be back, hopefully not soon since Im loving my car!! Thanks everyone!!

I have chosen a 5 star because Shah provided me with the right vehicle for my business expansion. He understood my needs and gathered all the specifications for the van I needed. It is the perfect van. I could fit the water tank I needed, thanks to Shah. Shah wasnt the pushy salesman, he listened and then delivered. I am very thankful for Shah and Colonial Nissan for the purchase. The availability was VERY limited but Colonial Nissan had the van I have been looking for on their lot. My gratitude for both Shah and Colonial Nissan CMA go far beyond this review. They have helped me graciously and I am very much appreciative, thank you Shah and Colonial Nissan CMA for helping me expand my business.

We were looking at a used pickup on the lot, Bob approached us, very friendly, stood by answered our questions and mainly let us look.Asked if we wanted a test drive, OK and said as we were leaving dont be afraid to drive it like you own it.After the drive we were interested, worked out the deal and said we would be back next day after I cleaned out our trade in.Came back next day to sign, Bob took another look at trade car, found some things I missed.Signing the papers, Scott asked what kind of music we liked (I thought was odd). We said Blues. As we were gathering papers; over the loudspeaker comes At Last, Etta James and Scott announcing Congratulations on our new truck. All the sales people had gathered in the showroom and were clapping.During all this time with Bob there was no pressure, no hurry. He let us buy the truck as opposed to him selling it.The closing was unique with the music and made it a pleasure rather than stressful.Driving home I noticed a slight rattle in dash panel. Went back to Bob he helped schedule repair appointment, they found loose screw, fixed it, no charge.Next vehicle we will look there first.

I want to give a special shout out to Christine and Colonial Auto Center. I recently purchased a new vehicle from them. A few weeks later I noticed an issue with my air conditioner. I brought it back to them and they repaired it with no hesitation. They also let me use a nice vehicle while my vehicle was being repaired. Although I was a bit frustrated at first, I’m definitely highly satisfied and would not only continue to do business with them, but will also recommend them to friends and family as well. Dealing with this service center made me trade in my Cadillac for a Subaru. Both of my parents and I have driven Cadillacs for as long as I can remember. If my family wasnt driving Cadillacs, we were in other GM-brand cars. Our love for Cadillac is deep, and this service centers poor quality made me leave the brand. They do not ever fix a problem on the first try. Every time I picked up my vehicle from this center, the issue I took it in for would recur within a day and I would either have to take it back or be towed back. They exhibit astonishingly bad customer service, especially when your vehicle is still under warranty. None of the employees appeared interested in helping me feel safe in my vehicle so I moved to a different company who would.I really wanted this vehicle to work out, and I kept trying to get better results with this service center, but they proved to me that they were unreliable time and time again.I strongly feel I have upgraded car-wise, service-wise, and safety-wise by taking my business elsewhere.Edited to add: Last year, the service center had one of their employees drive my car to his house overnight to see if an issue persisted. They did not ask for my permission to do so, and I did not approve of my car being driven to a foreign house for an overnight stay. In addition, my car was driven over 80 MPH which is reckless driving in Virginia. When I brought this issue up to the manager, they made many excuses and brushed it off. This made me very uncomfortable and unhappy, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Never again!

What follows are a few words about the best car salesperson I have ever encountered. Over my lifetime I must have bought a total of 45 cars, both new and used. Simona Holloway has been my go-to salesperson for at least 10 of those vehicles. My process of buying a car is deliberate; I have never felt rushed when dealing with Simona. Simona is the consummate professional; she knows her craft and has the polite personality all salespeople should have. She listens carefully to me when I describe the vehicle I wish to buy. Sometimes this is in person or via email. She knows I do not play games so I tell her what I want and what I expect to pay. As an example, the last vehicle I bought from her almost did not happen. I told her I wanted a 2 or 3-year old SUV, preferably a GMC. Because the last in person discussion we had had was about a Cadillac Sedan, she did not tell me about a 2-year old Denali XLT because she was sure it was too large. I happened to drive by one day and when I saw it, it was love at first sight. We negotiated for several hours until the price for the SUV was acceptable to me (I had done my research on the Internet). Afterwards she shepherded the deal through her dealership including all the paperwork. I drove away at the end of the day in my almost new vehicle a happy camper. In case you are wondering, I would give Simona an 11 on a ten-point scale.

Kelly Blue Book emailed me wanting to check the value of my 2017 Buick Encore. It was a great deal more than what I owed. My Encore did not have a power lift gate. My arthritis had gotten worse in my right shoulder. CMA contacted me about trading for a new 2020 Envision which was larger than the Encore. The Envision has the 4 cylinder engine! I looked around the area and no one was interested in my small potato deal. I spoke with Gavin who put it all together. JR Kennedy was my salesman. Gavin and JR were so impressive in their treatment of my sale. I traded cars. They worked with me putting my paperwork together. So professional. Finished the deal with Joe in Finance and drove away in my new car WITH the power lift gate financed with GM!

Was quoted $1,400 service work but was charged a flat rate on my invoice of $1,000 for labor and parts of $288 plus tax for a total of $1,303. They told me their rate is $150 per hour and I asked how long they took and they told me 6 hours which should equal $900 in labor. I questioned them and they told me they quoted $1,400 and took $100 off to be kind because they work on a “graded scale” of hourly work and it should have been more. What????? It should have been $100 less than I paid without any discount. Never heard of anything like this in my life. Never again.

I’ve purchased many cars throughout my lifetime. Never had this kind of service. Part of the frustration was dealing with a total of 6 different people. I had to tell several people information I had already shared with others. Communication among the employees is definitely an opportunity. They originally offered me 13k for my car, then within an hour came back with 15k, only because I told them no way in hell I’m selling my car to you for 13k. One gentlemen had already told me they would give me 15.5k, however I wasn’t going to make a stink over 500 bucks. I had told them several other dealerships had offered me 15.5-16k. One gentlemen tried to explain to me why the car was not worth 15k, however it’s now sitting on their lot for sale at 18.5k. I understand business is business and we all in it to save/make money, so I get there needs to be some margin/profit. I had to tell them 3 different times, I had my own financing. I purchased the car at closing, so when I left I forgot to get my plates off my trade in. I emailed them the next day to inform them, and the gentlemen assured me they would turn them in. After 4 more emails inquiring about this each time I was told yes they turned them in. For some reason it just wasn’t sitting right with me, I didn’t believe them. Several days later I then received a email to do a survey which I did. The very next day the gentleman called me to inquire why such a bad review. After explaining to him my feelings, right before we hung up I ask—“ I know I keep asking you about this but are you certain my plates got turned in to dmv”? He replied yes, but if not they will be. I hung up and just sat there thinking, omg how many times have I ask this man this? Needless to say the very next morning I get a email stating “oh we destroyed your tags because they were close to expiring”!!! Sooooo I was lied to all the other numerous times I ask? I traded my car at the end of February the plates expire at the end of April. I drove a hour to do business with this place making 4 different trips. If I didn’t love the car so much I wanted to buy, I would have walked away! I couldn’t find this exact car close to home. I also inquired about the cost of changing the GMC logo from red to black, and was quoted $350.00 bucks.(Thought maybe they would throw that in). The part was only $120.00. Well guess what, I had the GMC dealership close to home do it, and only paid $200.00. I might be a female trying to buy a car, but I’m not a stupid female! That’s how I feel I was treated. Only nice thing I have to say is, I love the car, and the last young lady I dealt with was pleasant.SEE THE RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER??? GUESS WHAT NO ONE EVER CALLED ME !!! NOT SURPRISED!!!

My wife and I recently purchased two used vehicles from Colonial: A 2002 Thunderbird and a 2011 G37 Convertible. Both cars are very clean and they have low miles. The sales people we dealt with were congenial and flexible. Bob Kemp, who sold us the T-Bird, has gone the extra mile to make sure that we got the hardtop, hardtop stand, cover and touch-up paint. Joe Lombardo and Connor Walsh worked with me diligently to come up with a fair deal on the G37.Where the rubber hit the road for me was when we had some issues with the cars. The G37 leaked some coolant onto my garage floor. The team at Volvo were very thorough and found a hose that they replaced. The T-Bird needed a jump one morning and when we brought it in they did a very thorough check of the electrical system. They found a wire that was partially grounding the system. They fixed it and replaced the battery. What impressed me in both cases was that they did not try and do a tweak and rush us out the door. They pressure checked the G37 coolant system for a day before they turned it back over to me. They found that the instrument light switch in the T-Bird had been left on which contributed to the dead battery, but rather than stop there they detected a continued draw on the system so they systematically pulled the fuses one at a time until they were able to identify where the draw was coming from.I highly recommend this dealership.

I have had cars serviced at Colonial for more than twenty years. I have been consistently pleased with their work. I was, however, nervous when my long-time service manager retired. He was a peer and had become a trusted friend. The current service manager is probably younger than our youngest child. He knows a great deal more about cars than me. That does not, however, take much.More important, at least to me, is that Cole seems to care about my car as much or more than I do. I have a 2004 Ford Thunderbird: beautiful but notoriously unreliable. Cole has tamed it and made it reliable.I just retrieved the Thunderbird from a 60,000 mile tune-up. It cost exactly what was projected. It is running like a dream, even smoother than when I bought it... just as Cole promised. In my experience, the team at Colonial is knowledgeable, communicating, polite, professional, and does their job right. To do this over two-decades and two or three professional generations is just about miraculous.

Anthony Swan and the service department did a great job of taking care of my needs including the fine shuttle service I received to and from my home on Pantops....In at 8am and repaired and driving home around 4:30p....unfortunately you didnt have any control over the wicked storm that cut across rt 250 right at Stony Point Road just as I arrived at the intersection. Would give you 6 Stars if they were available.

I will start off by saying that I have purchased multiple vehicles in and around the Charlottesville area. Saturday February 4, 2017, I made my first purchase from Colonial Auto Center. Hands down, this was the best experience I have ever had purchasing a vehicle. Everyone was honest and straight forward from the moment I walked in the door until I pulled off the lot in my brand new Vehicle. My hat is off to Colonial!

Tim Royer was hands down the best sales person I have ever dealt with. I originally called about a different car they had already sold, they showed me a different car near my price range and worked with me so that I could afford it. Any time I went into the dealership I was treated kindly and given assistance immediately. Any issues I had with the car I was encouraged to bring up and the sales team worked to correct them as soon as they could. Overall, this is the best car buying experience I have ever had. Sales team was great, I love my car, and I got a great deal. 10/10 would buy here again.

I submitted a request for information and was pleased with how quickly the team followed up. They answered all of my questions and gave me a great price for the vehicle. The service was great and my husband and I will definitely work with the team when we are ready to buy our second new vehicle in a few months.

Jr Kennedy was great to deal with. He made the experience a great one and i would highly recommend seeing JR if your interested in purchasing a new vehicle. He gave me all the facts on the vehicle and made the overall process flawless. I will use him for all my future purchases and will tell all my friends. Thank you again Jr.

I love the sales team here. I probably went to 8 other car sales stores and can honestly say that the team here was knowledgeable, patient, not pushy at all.

Simona Holloway-Warren is fantastic to work with and an absolute pro! I thoroughly enjoyed my recent experience buying a vehicle and Simona is the reason. She and the team at Colonial were accommodating, helpful, and always prompt in responding to my questions. If you are in the market for a new or used car, go see Simona - I cannot recommend her highly enough!

I put in an online information request for one of their vehicles. I answered the first time and said I had already gotten what I wanted from somewhere else. Theyve called five more times and left messages every time. I understand that youve got to sell cars but if someone says theyre good maybe you should make a note somewhere so 3 other people dont keep calling.

I lost the key to my nissan altima. They wanted 300 for the key fob with key... then I needed to pay for the car to be towed to them... then it would have been another 80 dollars for the guy to sync the new key fob to my car. Over 400 dollars in total. I could rent a car for a week until I found my keys and still not paid that much. I wonder what a mobile locksmith like Baldinos lock and key would charge.

The atmosphere was relaxed and professional. I hadnt bought a car from a dealership for many years because I had a bad experience. I was apprehensive about ever going to a dealer again. Van Johnson and Bob Kemp instantly put me at ease and their professionalism made them easy to trust. I ended up driving away with a much better car than what I was expecting. Im totally satisfied with the experience.

Had a very good experience with Colonial; needed a replacement car ASAP and JR Kennedy had a replacement option within a day that was exactly what I was looking for. Had it brought to the nearest dealer and added a new set of tires to the deal....I was in and out of Colonial faster than Ive ever been in any car purchase because so much was done up front....They really took care of me and Id definitely buy from them again.....

Well, I went in for one problem (possible slave cylinder issue) with my manual transmission. On Monday the service Manager could not duplicate the issue and was able to shift freely after test driving. However, several other things were found and I approved the repairs. When I picked up my truck a week later, I noticed a groaning sound when I shifted. I hadnt even left the parking lot. I turned around and had the on-duty service manager take it for a drive and experienced the same groaning noise. It didnt seem too serious so I said I would drive it for a few days to see if it would subside. On Monday, I called the original service manager and explained the situation from Saturday. I asked to check with the on-duty manager from Sat. to get the full story. Well, I am still hearing the groaning sound, sometimes more acute than others. I am somewhat disappointed that this matter came up after being told there was nothing wrong. It is now Tuesday night and I still have not heard from the service manager regarding this issue. I hesitate to bring it back and be out of a vehicle for another extended period of time. I will take it to some other mechanics for more opinions.

Transmission replaced and the solution to issues was to just drive it over the course of a month. Had to take it back 4 different times to find a solution. Final day of fix “hopefully” and scheduled a shuttle for 12:30. Called at 12:40 with no ETA of driver. At 12:43 shuttle driver calls and asks for all the information we already shared with 1st schedule pick up.They’re trying and the employees seem genuine and competent, but the ball was dropped multiple times.

Just went in for a simple oil change. Was told they couldnt get to it because of being short staffed. Unfortunately, I didnt have time to return the next day and the actual service writer decided he would take the time to make it happen. You cant beat that for great service!

I had a great experience at Colonial Auto Center with Mr. Chili who sold me a vehicle and Mr. Johnson was nice as well. Around the time of me shopping for a vehicle and actually getting the vehicle we had a snow storm so it took a few days for me to get my vehicle. However, Mr. Chili came out and drove my new vehicle to me so I had a way to work the next day and a way to them to handle paper work. Mr. Johnson was awesome as well. He gave us some uplifting stories about his beautiful marriage. My vehicle is expected to get detailed after the snow is clear. They handled my situation very well.
