I have been a customer for years and have taken my Lexus IS250 for consistent oil changes. I recently purchased an Audi Q5 and took my car in this evening for an oil change. I was advised they did not have the oil filter for my vehicle and would be unable to change the oil without it. I was disappointed of course, but decided to go to another oil change provider located in the area since they were unable to perform the task requested. Before leaving and pulling out of the bay, I specifically asked if they had drained the oil and was advised by the tech they had done nothing as they did not have the required filter needed to perform the oil change. Ok, no problem! I then leave and head to nearest Kwik Kar oil change location approximately 5 miles away. I pull in and notice my car shaking profusely when I pull into the bay. I was advised immediately by the professional team there that my oil cap had not been placed back on the car and oil was pouring out of the vehicle and had now been leaking ALL OVER my engine bay! Not only had the incompetent team forgot to replace the oil cap after NOT actually servicing the vehicle, but they also placed my entire vehicle at risk of engine damage due to their lack of care and competence!! I not only had to pay for the oil change at Kwik Kar, but also the $129 plus tax bill for cleanup as they failed to replace the oil cap!!! I am now awaiting my reimbursement, and it better be prompt! DO NOT take your vehicle for service here! If they cannot do something as simple as replacing an oil cap efficiently, then I surely wouldn’t trust them for any other service. I’ll be expecting my reimbursement SOON!

I normally LOVE Take 5; they are well-priced & take care of me without trying to upsell me on a bunch of unnecessary extras. However, this last time I brought my car in for an oil change, it seems they didnt screw everything in correctly :( I was on my way home & a piece came unscrewed on the underside of my car & not only did it postpone my vacation, I am now going to have to get that replaced.. really unfortunate because usually I have nothing good to say about this place.

Was redirected to this shop from the one on Belt Line saying they would have my filter and were the only trust worthy location around. When I arrived, they said they could not perform my oil change as no was on-site was certified and their manager who can handle it was on vacation. This was my first time attempting this location since it was referred by another but I do not plan on coming back again. A Land Rover with a Ford engine does not seem that difficult to work on since every other Take 5 I have been to has been able to complete the change.

Great service from Ariel and Nathaniel! Very professional, kind, and courteous. Ariel gave me some helpf tips that Id never even heard of. Nathaniel was very quick and respectful when he got my information and explained the pricing to me. It might be a little pricey, but I will definitely be coming back again for the service alone 👍🏾👍🏾

These guys were great . Told me about an extra filter I didnt even know I had. Fixed my coolant. And they were very quick and I choose them over walmart any day

The staff was very friendly...they gave us an accurate estimate of our wait time. And one of the gentleman offered us water bottles while we waited. They were very efficient in directing the other cars in the other lanes as well. Overall had a great experience!! Definitely coming back for other services.

Went to this location to get an oil Change and after the oil change I smelled something burning. I return to the location and advised them that I smelled something burning coming from my vehicle and after checking they stated that it was my filter went to a different location and there’s black oil all under my hood that had sprayed out from someone not putting the cap all the way on. I am very upset because I’m quite sure when I brought it back The worker saw this but did not mention this. I had to get another oil change because it’s low again after this incident. A waste of money and time !!!!

They were very efficient and got me in and out in about 10 minutes and checked everything. I never had to leave my vehicle. I will definitely go back and I have. I would recommend it to anyone.

Service was pretty good.... until the tech who collected my payment handed back my change which was about $13.00. Then went on to say in so many words that i could give my change of $13 as a tip. Not that a tip was required but would be greatly appreciated. Then went on to say bc in fact they do their job everyday bc the love they have for their customers... This associate made me feel uncomfortable like i was wrong if i didnt tip. Never going back

You will no longer receive any more of my money. I always went here for my service. Last time I was in, YOU said “let me check ur cabin air filter”, and BROKE, my glove box. After I googled and found out there are 2 screws u have to take out. Then u said “Oh we don’t have this kind of screw driver”. Funny this is where I changed it a year ago.THEN, the only time I didn’t honk for good service, I ran over a large screw and washer upon my exit, as in right when I pulled out of the garage, which I had to stop to get a new tire afterwards.Oh but thank u for the 5 vouchers of car wash.. A simple oil change, and now my glove box is broke, and I also had to pay for a new tire. So no more money u will receive from me.Really upsetting. I was going here for years. Tell Pat he should hire folks that REALLY know what they’re doing. Instead of millennials.

Darrin and Nathaniel were outstanding. I received an oil change the day before and noticed my oil was leaking. I popped into this location and these two diagnosed my problem, fixed it, and pointed out another area that was missed by the other oil change company. Super professional and fast even when they were busy. Even offered me a water because it was hot! 10/10 will only take my car to this location in the future.

Although it did take a little while to get our service done, the whole crew made it feel like a warm environment. Darrin did a very good job explaining to us everything he was doing and expressed his professional opinions. Great job Darrin! Be careful not to fall next time! Lol

Shout out to Morgan, Dillion, Darrin, and Noah for today’s eventful oil change. This afternoon I received an oil change from Take 5 on Preston rd (Dallas) and a new air filter. Well after my oil changed I noticed my a/c making a funny noise so I took it back this evening to the Take 5 on Preston Rd only to be sent to Midas to see what the cause of the continuous noise from the A/c. Rewind…Preston rd Take 5 Hispanic guy (bad attitude) who changed my air filter said mice (mouse) were probably getting in the inside of my hood. Anyways, back to Midas, so Midas was closing in like 5 minutes but they still listened to the sound of my A/c and agreed that something was wrong with the a/c so they recommended (Morgan) me to bring it this Take 5 (I’m writing about now)to look at it. I went next door into Take 5 parking lot which I immediately got service and Morgan came to the rescue. Well, I don’t completely remember who all assisted Morgan listening to my A/c but all of them agreed about the noise in my a/c as well. Morgan took down my glove department to get to the air filter and as I was telling him my dilemma and before I could get to the part about the mouse, Boom, he felt it!!! My daughter and I instantly jumped out the car and we were escorted inside to wait(they all came to calm us down and gave my daughter a popsicle). Good guys, aye. Anyways, they probably worked on my car for a good 45min-1hr to get the mouse out. They kept me updated with everything. Unfortunately, the mouse moved so they came inside to convince me that the mouse wouldn’t make it into the car itself however they couldn’t get the mouse out cause it moved location. Very much tempted to leave my car at the shop and call an Uber Morgan came back in after, seeing my facial expression and how serious I was about the Uber he went back to try again for another 45 minutes or so. Noah, gave me great tips to prevent rodents from getting inside my hood.( still was traumatized) Well after their other client left all the workers came together to get that freaking mouse out. So after almost putting voodoo(insider) lol on their lives, they were successful getting that mouse out! Thank you guys a million. I appreciated the patience,understanding, and compassion you all showed today. Great teamwork as well! I recommend a raise! Lol

DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!!! Took my Suburban in for an oil change last Friday. Took way longer than they advertise and After driving it to Lubbock and Back I find they didnt do something correctly because there is a huge puddle of Castrol Edge oil on my driveway... DO NOT USE THIS LOCATIONI call them and the corporate office says it could take 48 hours for me to get a manager to respond. NOPE

I went to get an oil change, 2007 Jeep Wrangler, and while sitting there the kid asks me where I last got my oil change, it was Kwik Kar in Crandall, and he asked if I could take it back there because they couldn’t get the oil cap off. I told him no. What a joke! I drove it right next door to Midas and they got it taken off with ease. The mechanics got a good laugh because there was nothing wrong besides the kids lacking strength & skill. Midas is cheaper for a high mileage oil change WITH tire rotation anyway. Hire some real men to do the job and keep the kids as customer service or greeters if you want to stay in business.

I have been using this location for awhile ...Over 2 years ... I would stay as far away from Take 5Oul Change as possible.They dont take responsibility for damages and cost occured by their techs leaving parts loose during routine services ... I went for an oil change and state inspection and the inspector damaged my gas cap causing a check engine light and transmission warning lights to appear .The shop manager claims that if you leave that business and have an issue diagnosed at a major 4 star Toyota Dealership ...They void your warranty and will not cover any damages caused by themHe also claimed someone would contact me about the issue and its been over a week.Take 5 oil lost a customer and I beg anybody reading this to stay as far away from this business as possible..Decided to update this review...I have made several attempts to contact this business in order to correct the damage they did to my vehicle and they absolutely will not reply to me in any way shape or form.. I even sent them an email with the invoices for my repair cost and Diagnostics on August 4 2021 ..They do not respond or take any responsibility whatsoever ... What kind of legitimate business doesnt even answer a single email.There is also a person responding to reviews , But no one at any of the locations have any clue who this person is or how to contact them..So take anything that person says in any response with a grain of salt ...Do no give this business the opportunity to damage your car because they surely will..

Great place for an oil change and inspection. Had three other services done all quick and efficiently provided.

This was an extremely disappointing visit to Take 5. It was very busy, and I recognize that had an impact. employees were just bouncing around to different vehicles/lanes, and it seemed like no one knew what was happening or going on.The individual who pulled us into our lane and got the information that we needed an oil change and inspection disappeared after we got into the bay. We waited for about 20 minutes or so before another employee wandered over and decided to begin our oil change. We when we’re presented with the total, it didn’t include an inspection. We then paid for that and had to pull into a different lane/bay where we waited additional time. Total, we spent an hour for the two services. We love Take 5, because it is usually quick and efficient. Unfortunately, that is not what we experienced at the location on Midway Road in Carrollton, TX yesterday.

I chose Take 5 for a state vehicle inspection. Tristan was prompt, courteous, and an excellent communicator. His customer service, to multiple patrons at one time, was stellar. Hes an asset to your business and one of the best employees Ive ever encountered at Take 5 (or anywhere else).

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, made sure to wear masks when interacting with customers, and were very quick about their work. Will definitely be returning for our next oil change!

Terrible, didn’t get a free car wash this time, the guy didn’t reset my light🤦‍♂️ Was in a rush to get me out, disappointed because the first time i came the dark skin guy got me right, good customer service free car was reset my light took good care of me very respectful but my last visit wasn’t it

Came in for state inspection. I was told 10 minutes and to wait behind another car until they were ready. I waited 20 minutes, during which they did someone elses inspection who pulled up 10 minutes after me, then opened up another bay for a 2nd person who pulled up after 20 minutes. I went half a block away and was seen immediately.

Terrible customer service. Called 3 times in a row trying to get a hold of someone in the service department to see if they had the oil filter for my truck in stock. Was put on hold all 3 times and eventually no one would answer and I was told to leave a message. Severely doubt they would’ve returned a message if they can’t answer a simple phone call.

Went in for oil change yesterday 1st time at take 5 I usually go to kwik car but wanted to try take 5 ….when it was finished car wouldn’t start and all lights was on…after finally getting it to start I took it to an a mechanic and he said they must’ve pinched some wires in while changing the oil so had to repair the wires which cost me $300 went for a $90 oil change left with $300 worth of problems…

They performed all that entails a Certified State Inspection in a courteous and timely manner. I will recommend this location to my relatives and friends for their service. Thank you.

An honest professional staff works here!I went to the Carrollton/Midway Take 5 oil change today, 8/29/20, to get my oil changed because my car oil change light was on. When I arrived, the technician greeted me and guided me into the bay. When they pulled up my car information, another technician informed me that I have only driven 1,700 miles since my last oil change with them and that I do not need an oil change. They showed me that my oil was clean and then proceeded to top of my fluids and wash my front window. They could have easily changed my oil and I would have never known anything different. The technician also took the time to educate me in a professional manner about oil changes and mileage without making me feel belittled. He let me know when to come back based on my driving habits/mileage. They are so professional here! I have found that it is very hard to find honest people when it comes to vehicle repairs/maintenance. The staff here is very honest! This location will definitely be the only place I will go to for an oil change. Thank you very much!!! :)

Very disappointed in the customer service I experienced at this location. Was charged twice on my credit card and wasn’t told about it. I didn’t realize til a few days later when I looked at my transactions for the week. Had to drive all the way back up to Take 5 to talk to someone in person about it. The Manager was nice. I don’t have anything bad to say about her. Although she couldn’t help me I still feel they could have done more to better help the situation. I ended up calling my bank to dispute the other charge. Unfortunately it’s going to take 7 days to get it situated.

They got me in and out quick the staff was great and help full. All except Garrett. He lied to me and told me I needed the most expensive oil change wich was the full synthetic because my car was a GDI. when I told him that no one had ever told be that before the other 20 times I have had my oil changed, he asked the guy under my car. He said something I couldnt hear but Garrett said the regular oil change would be fine. Nice try Garrett.

Super fast and easy don’t even have to get out of the car for an oil change. Just a little unprofessional cussing with guest being in the garage and not all of the guys were wearing a mask.

I’m glad I had a coupon upon coming here cause I was not about to pay for POOR service. One of the men acted like he didn’t want to be there, I get that but, snatching my card, foul language & bad attitude wasn’t necessary . My receipt says that certain fluids were filled and they weren’t. Don’t usually leave reviews but I wasn’t impressed AT ALL.
