Lived in Randolph Towers in a modernized two bedroom for two years and it was a wonderful experience. Nice features in the apartment, new appliances, flooring, cabinets and a spacious floorplan. We moved in pre-COVID and didnt expect that we would end up spending so much time in the apartment, but it was the perfect place to hunker down. The front desk staff, leasing, and maintenance teams are very friendly and Im grateful for all their help. The building has a nice gym, an indoor pool, and is super close to the metro. Wed still be living there if we didnt have to relocate for work. Thank you, Randolph Towers!

2021 is the BEST year to move into this apartment complex. Because of all the renovations you can get deals - even those who live here and need to move to a renovated apartment are getting the deals. There are 1or 2 months free rent and one year of free garage parking. So now is the time to move here. Within one year all the renovations will be completed and youll be living in a wonderfully decorated building with great amenities. AND this building is quiet, not sound proof but truly you do not hear your neighbors or their TV or their stereo. It is a great, convenient location also. No smoking, yeah!

I have really loved living here for the past year! Lilly in the rental office has been a huge help with finding me a renovated unit for the upcoming year. All the employees are always friendly and make an effort to get to know their tenants. The units are well maintained and location cannot be beat. I would recommend Randolph Towers 100%!!

Having lived in one of the classic units for a year, I was hoping to move into their newly modernized apartments. The management was extremely prompt and responsive and helped me finalize an apartment in only a couple of weeks. Id like to mention Lilly in particular who did an excellent job answering all my questions and helping me negotiate a great offer with the management. She is extremely efficient and gets the job done! Would recommend that you ask for her if leasing in this building.Everyone in the apartment community from the resident manager, to the leasing agents to the people at the front desk are all amazing. Very friendly, experienced and ready to help. The building itself is clean, maintenance on call along with great amenities. Metro, multiple restaurants, bars and even grocery stores within a two block radius.

LOUD HAMMERING AND DRILLING NOISES EVERY DAY. We lived in this apartment complex for two years, and from 9-5 every day there are constructions going on. The floor and ceiling shake from sound of hammering and drilling. DO NOT live here unless you love listening to construction noises all day!!!!

Do not live here. It is a construction zone both inside and outside of the building. The building decided to reopen the renovations for apartments inside as everyone is working from home during the pandemic. You will hear loud banging from 9am until about 4pm and there is no where to really go. If I could move out early I would. They are also building new complexes in the area so its loud outside as well.If you spend working hours outside the home, the people are fairly friendly and respectful. If youre working from home, find somewhere quieter to live. They suggested I call to discuss. I did and the building’s recommendation was to work in one of the community rooms...I would’ve given this place more stars had they not continued their construction project during a global pandemic when almost everyone is working from home. Corporate greed at its finest.

I have lived here for about a year and cannot say enough about ALL of the staff. The front desk staff- especially David and Jackie- is always courteous, helpful, and friendly. They go above and beyond and call each resident when there is any type of HVAC work or anything to be done. They even know most of the residents by name which is incredible. The leasing office - Lilly, Nora, Annabelle - are so personable and willing to help specific situations. They got me out of a tricky roommate/housing situation and I cannot thank them enough. The cleaning staff and construction personnel are SO FRIENDLY and do their jobs with pride. The building itself is well kept and has great amenities. Even during covid, management tried to appease everyone (not possible) by limiting the hours of service for the amenities but not completely shutting them down. How many pools do you know are open right now?! They have found a way, and have a low (maybe zero) positivity rate of COVID amongst their residents. Everything about this place is absolutely amazing and I have loved living here.-Tiffany

I have lived in Randolph Towers for 3 years now and there is a number of good reasons.1. The building is really nice (e.g. apartments and facilities)2. The location of the building is one of the best I think. Waking distance to the Ballston Metro and DC is also really close.3. Staffs here including front desk and leasing office staffs are very friendly nice.Overall, this place has been one of the best places I have lived in!

I would say, they are my best friends, buddies, pals and finally look out for the god mother in the evening shifts😇. All together, you move in to huge family. 😍

It’s no secret to any resident here that the garage has countless vacant parking spots (partially due to the down units being renovated). But Randolph/Dittmar would only allow my girlfriend and I to rent 1 parking space because we live in a 1-bedroom unit, despite originally telling us otherwise. As such, I offered to pay 3X the rate of a single parking spot for an additional space and even offered to agree to vacate on a day’s notice should they need the space back. Even after escalating the request, they still refuse and deliberately turn away potentially thousands of dollars from me while dozens of spaces remain vacant/non income-producing.I understand there are policies but we’re shocked at the inflexibility given we were told a second spot wouldn’t be an issue when we toured/put the application in. There are available garages nearby which I have since rented a space at, but it’s turned out to be extremely inconvenient. We’ll more than likely try to find a more accommodating building when our lease is up.UPDATE:Though Dittmar (management) responded below that they’d follow up with me, here we are 5+ months later and no contact. ALSO, the front desk lost one of our packages recently that they acknowledged was delivered, and when we asked what they were going to about it (comp us maybe?) they essentially told us to kick rocks... they said “policy says” they are not liable for losing your parcels. So beware about moving into any Dittmar community. They’re not pragmatic, resident-friendly and are very difficult. Solid apartment, bottom tier management firm.

Even though this is one of the older buildings in Ballston, it is awesome! The apartments are HUGE with large rooms, marble bathrooms and are very well made (quiet). I toured a newer building last month and what a difference! You could hear the next door neighbors like the walls were made of paper. The apartments here are super-quiet with nice views. Love having a deli, dry cleaners and nail place downstairs too.

I have been living here for 6 months and I couldnt be happier.Pro: Doorman, in house yoga, pilate, hair salon, swimming pool, business center, deli and shoe maker, free apartment maintenance.Con: This is a personal issue, but the whole charm of the place is blotched by carpeted floor. I did expect wooden flooring.

I live on the 16th floor, and moved in August 2015. The staff is wonderful - always receptive and friendly and has accommodated me in major ways, such as when I hosted a Thanksgiving party in the common area. While I think some of the rules could be more relaxed - such as the no drinking in the common area rule - we are all mostly families and adults and this seems unnecessary - I appreciate the amenities. The pool is open late until 9/10 most nights, and is underground; the movie theater is easy to reserve, and youre never charged a deposit for the community room even when you are asked to put one down. This building is quieter/the sound proofing is really great - and the people that live in the building are definitely from a multicultural background which I really appreciate - you see a good mix of young people, families, and seniors living in the building. There is an expected income so that you have no required deposit - and I scored a major rent deal - 2 months of free rent upfront when I signed my lease which was a major incentive in moving. I will say that there are some things that are lacking - like most other buildings have online bill payment for rent, but its made up by the accommodating nature of the staff, the cleanliness of the building, and the constant investments in the surrounding. There is a lot of construction going on - and I expect it to continue well into my time here, however, long that is but I dont mind because these are investments in new, nicer looking spaces that I get to use. Also, whoever wrote the review on the mice in the laundry room has clearly never lived in this building - my apartment and all others have washer drawers in unit... :) Chances are barring any major rent increases, I will renew my lease.

I lived there for 2 years (~2009-2011). Apts were OK, clean lobby and hallways, staff and maintenance were responsive to issues. As for cons: Guest parking was inadequate on weekends. Some appliances (washer/dryer/dishwasher) were old and did not work very well. Dryer was replaced quickly when it stopped working though.
