I don’t normally get my nails done, but had some time to waste. The tech that did my nails, listened to what i wanted. He was very gentle. And did an awesome job! The other staff was nice also. I may actually keep on top of these acrylics and maintenance them! He turned me into a nail girl 😄

I love this place and have been regularly coming here for a few years now! The staff are super nice and have become like a second family there. They fill-in services are great, and their Pearl deluxe pedicure is so relaxing. The prices are great too! They’re very flexible and take customers upon walk-in, which is super convenient.

This is a great little mani-pedi-nail salon! I got their Pure Pearl and Stone Spa pedicure a couple of weeks back for Father’s Day and enjoyed it quite a bit.

I went here for my birthday and the guy doing my nails was so rough I started bleeding. The nails don’t even look nice. They have bubbles and the clear coat doesn’t go over the whole nail. My friend had a similar experience. I would not recommend coming here.

Highly not recommended!I am writing this review to share my experience after going to this place three times for different services; they don’t respect the clients time! Even that I had an appointment every time I had to wait before I start! I saw many people come without appointments for different services, and they start even before me!The workers are not friendly as if they were working mandatory in there, they dont give attention and dont welcome their customer in a good way! not all of them speak/understand English!I had an appointment at 3 PM. I waited for one hour before one of them told me to set showing me that she will start with me! she asked me what color I wanted, she did not listen carefully; I think she misunderstood the type of nail art I wanted then she began with someone else, and when I complained and told her that I was waiting for one hour and she told me that the worker who went out to smoke will start with me after she finishes! It was as unprofessional as it sounds!I left, and the manager said nothing!They also speak in their first language all the time together I respect and love people from all over, but this makes me uncomfortable because it often sounds from their body language and face expression as if they are making fun of the peoples request if they asked for something they did not like!

They are simply amazing! They are very customer oriented and pay close attention to details. They are fun and engaging and the atmosphere is quite relaxing. I have been here many times by myself as well as with my daughters/nieces and they are always eager to accommodate, adjust, and deliver great services. I always feel refreshed and relaxed after visiting!

I have been coming here for 2 years and after 2 horrible experiences recently, I am done.I have had two separate male technicians who were extremely rough, hurt me, and both made me bleed. Both technicians also did only one coat of polish (I have never been to a salon that only does one coat?) and argued with me when I said I wanted two because the first was see-through.My roommate has also been made to bleed by a female technician and came home almost in tears.I feel like they are always rushed to get through customers because they are constantly behind schedule. I have seen many, many walk outs through the year because people with appointments were made to wait close to an hour.The salon is also not clean. They don’t clean the stations in between customers and my hands were sitting in someone else’s pile of nail dust. Disgusting.I don’t know how this salon got so bad. I used to tell people to come here and now I will be telling them to stay away.

Ocean Nails is the most immaculate nail spa I have ever visited. The employees are friendly and accommodating. My pedicure wasn’t rushed and was very enjoyable. I highly recommend!

I didnt have an appointment, but was able to get in after about ten minutes. Friendly staff and got exactly what I asked for!

The place was clean and well adopted to Covid-19 environment. However, overall experience is one star. I made an appointment at 1 pm, and I showed up 5 min before 1 pm. I was treated like a walk-in customer. I ended up waiting at least 40 min. The foot water was too hot and I couldnt;t soak my foot. The person clipped nails, and the edges are all rough, hot stones were too hot, and I thought I got burnt, I wont go back again.

So disappointed! I wanted to get shellac on my nails and tried this place because the reviews were so good. My nails were so pretty but unfortunately, it was peeling off the next day which stinks because they were overpriced. Also, the workstation was disgusting! It wasnt cleaned between clients and everything was gritty and gross. Definitely wont be going back.

Probably the worst nail job I’ve ever gotten done! The nail polish was both sloppy and messy! Save you money and go else where or better yet, do it yourself.

I just want to say that they do a REALLY amazing job. They take their time and pay attention to detail. The place is kept clean, and is welcoming. It is busy but they definitely work through it and won’t make you wait long if they know it’ll take a while. They don’t rush your process because of people waiting and I appreciate it because they take pride in their work. I was happy with the ending product and can’t critique anything else. Wonderful business. Honestly the first time in this area I felt good and happy staring at my nails lol and my feet are SO soft 😄

Everyone does such a good job here. I normally see Taylor for full sets and fills and my nails always look amazing, I get compliments on them almost every day.

Place was very clean and staff extremely jovial and friendly. Was expecting more from the stone pedicures treatment based on the price but maybe my expectations were a bit inflated.Over all good experience and I would come back again minus the stone pedi treatment😅.

One of the most pathetic experiences. My gel nails came off within a week and when i called them they are like that is why we want you to come here. They charged us 35$ and when we called them to complain about the service they are like we anyways charged you less, and asked me to come and pay 10$ extra. NEVER EVER GO.

The man who did my shellac manicure did a very poor job. He cut my cuticle -making it bleed and he was very rough with my manicure, The massage was painful. I see that two of my nails were cut at the base an look like they may bend and breakMy french manicure looks terrible.

I have been here a few times, twice to get my shellac nails removed and once to actually get my nails done - the two times I got my nails removed I had to wait quite a long time but they did a fine job. the one time I came to actually get my nails done my nails turn out terrific! you definitely should make an appointment if youre planning to come here because it does get pretty busy but if you have an appointment its fairly quick and they do a great job!!

I have been a client here for several years. Even prior to the covid the mgmt focused on a clean and safe environment. The staff is well trained and work hard to make all who come in welcome and satisfied. Can’t recommend them enough. Reasonable prices, professional services, clean and covid protection well addressed. Have been happy with all services I’ve had done: mani- pedi- brows.

Great service and friendly staff. Also a very clean environment and they use clean tools between customers which is rare. Lots of other nail salons just rinse tools and put them in a new bag, but this place doesnt cut corners. They do an excellent job and care about doing a good job and it shows. Ill definitely be visiting again.

I called them to schedule an appointment at 6 p.m. and when I arrive with my wife and my baby daughter they told me theyre busy and I have to wait half an hour they are unfriendly unprofessional plus they cant speak English not going to this business anymore ,I actually do not consider it business.

The poor staff (and us). They grossly overbooked. We waited over an hour to be served despite having an appointment.

I loved the pedicure while I was getting it done. It felt great. However today (the next morning) I still have dry flaking skin. I feel for $50 and leaving a generous tip - I should have smooth feet.

I love Ocean Nails and miss them especially now that everything is closed. I love how Taylor does my nails and Lindsey too. I never have to say what I want because they already know. Perfect every time!

While the virus is still out there, this is THE place. I was so impressed. They checked my temperature contactless, the worker had a face shield, strict numbers of people allowed inside at once...And my eyebrows look fantastic. Will be back for nails soon!

A wonderful experience. I got a manicure on 5.1.2019 and it was a very high quality pedicure. My feet have never been so smooth! The facility is very clean and well kept. The service was friendly, professional, and affordable. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a salon while also trying to avoid going into downtown Ann Arbor to avoid parking headaches.

A young lady did my first shellac at this salon. She did a great job. Tailor, one of the co-owners did the second shellac. She did a nice job too. At subsequent visits, I was so much less than impressed with the shellac and with the cleanliness of the space and the personal hygiene of the techs. The final straw for me was when the older co-owner thought I was at her salon to get shellac nails AND endure her overtly insulting me over and over again over some facial hairs that she noticed. The expressions of disgust were over the top! Ive taken the only action I feel is appropriate. Clean up your work place. Do good work. Honor your customers. And dont mock them. You should go from 1 to 5 stars in no time.

Great experience. Everyone was very professional. I was seen right away for a pedicure. The massage chairs were great and newer. The place was clean and clutter free. I loved my shellac pedicure. Payed $45 for a shellac pedicure with foot massage. Would highly recommend.

For someone who is very detailed oriented and particular about my nails, I love coming here for my gel set! Taylor does an amazing job every time and she will not let me leave her chair unless I am completely satisfied. I get compliments on my nails often and I always recommend this shop. All of the staff are friendly and very welcoming. It is a cozy and clean environment. Taylor and Lindsay are the sweetest owners.

Clean salon, friendly staff, and a perfect pedicure. Polish choices leaned toward pinks/reds, but I didnt have trouble finding one I loved. Definitely will be back.

I can’t say enough nice things about Ocean Nails, but I’ll summarize the highlights. Fantastic customer - they stayed open late to accommodate by entire bridal party and even provided us with disposable wine glasses. Fantastic Work - from shellac to regular manicures and pedicures their work is impeccable. Wonderful amenities - the massage chairs, hot stone massages on your legs, and other relaxing details definitely set them apart!

This was just the level of relaxation I needed. Unlike many nail salons, Ocean Nails was quiet and peaceful and the environment held a subtle calm. After a long week this was exactly the type of nail salon I was looking for.In addition to the amazing energy, I am completely satisfied with the quality. Everything was very apparently clean and sterile and my nails and skin look and feel amazing. I will definitely be returning for all of my future manicures and pedicures.

Ocean Nails has quickly become the only place I want to get my nails done. Taylor and Lindsay do a phenomenal job! Especially with acrylics. When they’re busy you may have to wait awhile, but I garuentee it’s worth the wait!! I also highly recommend them for eyebrow waxing as well!

Wow, this place is amazing! I came here 3 weeks ago and got gel nails and a pedi. The quality of work here is phenomenal. It’s been 3 weeks and everything is still intact. This place does get very busy around 4- closing. It’s best to come early!

Beautiful nails!! I called on a whim and they were gracious enough to squeeze me in during my lunch break. Technician took her time to ensure that my first visit was a pleasant one. My sister and I love to come here and get our nails done together. I always get acrylics and they do a wonderful job and the nail techs are very friendly.

If for nothing else, I enjoy/ prefer to come here for the pedicures. They are mindful of their hygiene methods when it comes to the pedicure stations... there practice of using a “massive shower cap” to line the tubs for each individual is something I VERY much appreciate!

This is as close to perfection as it gets. I have been coming here for months and yes I have to wait a bit every blue moon (even with an appointment) but I take pride in knowing that they are equally dedicated to each client as the next . As a business owner I know making everyone happy is virtually impossible but I have yet to be let down or disappointed. My daughter comes with me and they treat her with just as much care and attention as me, that means the world to me. To all those that write bad reviews about the new and much improved Ocean Nails, Im sorry your experience was not a phenomenal as ours but look on the bright side you can always go somewhere else or tell them the issue because customers and customer service goes hand in hand. I was in Ann Arbor visiting my son and his wife. I needed to get my gel nails removed. I was able to get in right away. Very friendly people. I will definitely be going back.

Originally tried for a walk-in at a different salon that was completely booked so we came here on a whim and will never go back to the other place!! The ladies here are SO friendly and welcoming (which seems hard to find at many other salons) and really take their time on you regardless of how late it is. We got there early for our appointments and they stayed 30 minutes after closing just taking their time and chatting with us. They even waxed my friends eyebrows as an add on. All smiles and very genuine service. Plus, a tech brings her cute little dog in with her and he really loves to sit on your lap and be petted. Best salon I’ve been to by far! Good massages, hot rock treatments, warm towels, sugar scrubs, the works. This place is awesome and almost underpriced!

Please note they recently transitioned ownership! I received the most beautiful and meticulous manicure from Lindsay this morning. She was so thorough!! All of the staff is very kind. I highly recommend. Easily the best manicure Ive received in Ann Arbor.

I have been a few times now. Most recently when I went, I was with one of my friends. They gave us our bills and I paid with a credit card. Since it was hard for me to get to my cash with my wet nails, I didnt tip until after my nails were dry. My friend however chose to put her tip on her credit card.Somehow, even though we started at the same time, while my nails were in the dryer, my friend was still getting her arms massaged. Hm...Still, thats understandable. Besides that, the quality of service is very good, and the workers are very pleasant. Great place to have a brief spa retreat.

- Nails: They do a good job.- Wax: Tried facial waxing following a pedicure. The wax burnt me and caused an allergic reaction. Giving them one star because I had to point out what had happened, explain that it was not normal or ok, and still had to pay.

I got my shellac manicure on a Saturday and s couple a days later two nails were peeled off.I was disappointed too and I like coming to this salon.I went back and their fixed my nails and didnt change me.I was happy with the outcome in the end.

I went in for my first time yesterday and got a full set put on by Stephen. I have been getting my nails done for 16 yrs and this is THE BEST I have ever had them done!!! I will only go here from now on. prices are a little bit higher than I am used to paying but I love the quality.

Great local nail salon with outstanding customer service (they know many customers by name). The ambiance is a little strange; its not a very glamorous place, but the service is top-notch.Side note for the trendier crowd: Consider bringing your own nail polish; they dont always have the best hues available. Its hit or miss.

Taylor did an excellent job on my full set acrylic nails, my toes and she even waxed my eyebrows! She is a perfectionist and does her best!!!!

Easy Does It Window Cleaning, cleaned their Windows and mirrors. The place was packed and all of the Ladies were happy with the service that Ocean Nails provides!

Nice people but space seemed a bit run-down. Went for a pedi and several of the chairs had duck tape holding the footrest together. The paint job was a bit sloppy. Tech was very kind which is the reason for 2 stars but will not be going back.

UPDATE TWO: I still stand by my 5 star rating however, I do want to put it out there that time management is not a strength here. You can make appointments, but that means little. I made an appointment for two yesterday and waited for 50 minutes past my appointment time for them to start on once of us, the other had to wait another 15 minutes. Part of the reason is because they are so precise and perfectionists and want to give each client the best service, but more then that its because of walkins. If your appointment is at 2pm and at 1:50 a walk-in comes in, they will start the walkin first and when you show up at 2 for your appointment, you now have to wait until the walking is done. So essentially appointments get you no where. I love how good of a job they do, but I never go there when I have somewhere to be because I will be late.UPDATE: I added a star because I have now been back multiple times and had multiple different technicians and every time have walked out extremely satisfied and happy with my nails! I moved further away from this place but still whenever I want to get my nails done, I will drive the extra 20 minutes.I walked in and was immediately started for a shellac Mani and pedi. The technician was friendly, professional, and skilled. They used sterlized equipment between clients which is very important to me. The technicians spoke in their native language, but it seemed like it was mostly just work related chatter, they mostly spoke in English, which was nice. Its very uncomfortable when people speak in a language you dont understand, so it was nice that the techs at Ocean Nails didnt do that. My nails look great. Many people will leave the edges bare to avoid the skin which is a huge pet peeves of mine but my tech was able to polish my entire nail and edges without getting polish on the skin. The tech was also very thorough and yet gentle on my cuticles. Will update if things change, but so far loved this place and definitely will be back!

I went yesterday 8/28/14 after work. I called ahead about an hour and they got me right in. The salon is small, but clean, friendly and very well priced! I got a shellac mani and its the best one Ive had. A couple of my nails have an odd shape and some nail techs give me spotty or sloppy coverage. This time it was perfect! It was also very fast. Cant wait to go back for a pedi!

Terrible pedicure, mediocre manicure. My toe nails are hacked to pieces and have sharp edges. The older woman with glasses that gave me the pedi slapped the color on unevenly and put so much clear coat that it dried everywhere, all over each entire toe! It was all white and peeling all over my skin. This woman then proceeded to give me a gel/shellac manicure which she wanted to use a drummel to take off the old gel color. It was terrible as it shreds off layers of nail bed. When I told her I didnt want that used she pproceeded to hack away at them with another manual instrument. I was with a work colleague otherwise I would NOT have let her finish and ran out of there as fast as I could. $58 mani/pedi + $10 tip and she had the audacity to look confused when I quietly told her it was the worst pedicure Ive ever experienced.My colleague had a much better experience overall but explained that her technician was rude and demanding.I will NEVER allow these people anywhere near my hands/toes again. Never. Again.
