New to the area and based on the reviews decided to give this place a try also because it’s walkable distance. First time it was great so i came back. Second time i stopped by the nail tech did a poor job, it looked like a toddler painted my nails also during my turn she stopped doing my nails and tended to another customer who wanted a wax. I waited for 20 minutes then she rushed. I wanted to give them one more chance. Third time, I got some skin taken off by my cuticles due to filing aggressively ..after the entire experience was painful because it stung so bad. I decided to speak up and ask for a repaint on a nail because It did not have enough polish on it. I never leave reviews but figured this would be worthy. I got gel manicure on my real nails. I gave them a 25% tip all 3xs because I believe in tipping but I will not be coming back my experience should not be painful. The ladies were nice but the quality is not worth paying if it looks like I did them myself at home.

DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON! This the worst nail service I’ve ever received. I’ve been here twice by two different people and it was the worst. Yes, I would not go there for a simply polish change. Instead go to Divine Nails that is literally across the street by the 7/11. The nail technicians are very kind and well-intentioned but lack the fundamental skill set to do good work.I’m going back to get a refund for these awful nails. I would not wish this quality of nails on my worst enemy. Do not go here even if your nails are bad — they will be worse. Literally walk five steps across the street to Divine Nails.

Ive never been disappointed when I go here. Aj does an amazing job. This nail color is her mix. Linda does an amazing job too. Even during COVID, theyve been clean and no more than 2 to 3 people in there at a time. Everyone wears a mask and theyre extremely professional.

I just wasted $55 on this place. I’m so frustrated. My cuticle is still there. The polish is all over my skin - she didn’t wan to clean it even after I pointed it out. The typical attitude when you complain. NEVER AGAIN!

Ask for Michelle if you want some bling or 3d designs. She hooks it up! I thought 3D design meant big flowers that she would glue on, but she actually built the design with the powder....skills!

Ive been twice now. First time for a full set and brow wax, second time fill in and brow wax. Both brow waxes were great. Very pleased with how they did them. My experiences were a little different each time. My first visit was with T. I really liked the way he did my nails. He did a nice coffin shape and even helped me with my design. He gave his input without being pushy and we talked a bit. He offered me something to drink (I had white wine). My set lasted 3 weeks! My second visit I was scheduled with T but when I arrived found out that he was out due to surgery. (Get well soon!) Not a big deal but a heads up would have been appreciated as I am really trying to find a consistent technician to go to. Nevertheless, I believe Michelle did my fill in. Michelle was very attentive and focused on her work so we didnt chat much and thats ok. I understand that everyone works different. She gave me time to choose my color as I was very indecisive (my apologies lol). She didnt really offer input, but she did show me how each color would look so I was able to make a decision. I wasnt offered anything to drink at this appointment so idk if its a first time client only thing or only with certain services etc. She did a great job on my eyebrow wax and she nailed my Pinterest-found nail design perfectly. The shop itself is pretty chic and appears to be very clean. I do like the location but unfortunately there is no parking lot so theres only street parking and the garages (which you have to pay for). I do like that its right next door to a Starbucks as well. I havent tried a pedicure but I will. Overall if you dont mind paying for parking, I would recommend the shop. Both of my experiences have been rather positive and Im pleased with the work they do so far!

Its my 1st time came to try this place. I love the atmosphere and great customer service here at this salon. I felt really lucky that I got Michelle did my nails for me. She is a great nails designer. I just picked the color and she created a design for me. Her work is beautiful and I am in love with it. I will come back to this salon and Michelle from now on.

Ive been coming to this nail salon since theyve opened and I have never been disappointed! However, I feel compelled to write this review to commend my nail tech, Igna! She is not only detailed and creative, but she always ensures your nails are healthy! My nails have been consistently longer and my gel mani always lasts the full two weeks!

Ive come to this nail salon very very frequently and I made the decision to never step foot back into the building. Im noticing that many of the nail technicians have biases towards people of color. Ive noticed this on more than one occasion but decided to continue to patron the business because they do a great job. At my last service I wanted a polish change on my toes and three different people asked me what I wanted done after already explaining myself to the first greeter at the door. A nail technician grudgingly came to my foot tub and reluctantly began to take the polish off my toes. Needless to say the service was not done to the best of my liking which aided in my decision to never return. I would like to say that Im very careful when making claims like this, and continued to give them my money even after I felt treated as less than. I am giving this salon one star. If you would like the same type of quality for the same price range and better treatment, Divine Nails and Spa is directly next to the 7-Eleven. This will be my new nail salon. Hope this helps!

Love De Luxe Nails Lounge. It was the perfect nail place for my friends and I when we would finish finals (right above the shop at GWU) to come and relax with a glass of wine and get our nails done. Every time I am in town I still go back here. The shop is clean, moderately busy, and the staff are friendly.

Great a year ago and still great today! Ive been in and out way too often and everytime as a walk in. The thing I love about this place is despite having so many different nail techs, my nails always come out great!

I loved this place! Thankfully I went during the day a weekday for the best results; no rushing! I normally remember names however I dont remember the young man ever saying his name. He had great conversation and he worked quickly! Before I knew it, he was done! I also added a 30 minute foot massage by Ms. Cindy, which was fantastic! I really needed to relax and that was my cherry on top!

Nia was Great!! She did a wonderful job on my full set and she was very pleasant! Ill be visiting her again real soon!! As far as the shop it was spacious and clean, servicing just the right amount of people to keep things comfortable.

I was thrilled to find De Luxe Nails when I moved to Alexandria two years ago. This has been my go to shop for nails. Michelle is a fantastic nail designer. She listens to what you want and goes out of her way to make you happy. Michelle is an artist and perfectionist. I am thrilled to find a nail salon near my home and work that is reliable and does great work!

I was in Alexandria for a business trip and stopped in for a gel polish change. The staff was very nice and didn’t use the sanding tool to remove my old polish. They took their time and my nails look great. And I loved the cash discount option.

I had the pleasure of visiting this salon while on a business trip last week. I’m super picky about my nails and what salons I go to so I was very nervous to try somewhere new with only having read the online reviews. The salon was great! The manager was super friendly and accommodating considering I was a walk-in on a busy Friday afternoon, my nail tech was so nice and talented, and the salon was spotless! I highly recommend De Luxe nails. If I lived in the area, this would definitely be my regular go to spot!!

I typically never leave less than 4 stars on any business, but this is an exception. I went to this place 2 times. I had a powder/dip manicure and regular pedicure each visit. The first time they did my manicure, they put a gel top coat over my dip which is very abnormal. When I went to get it removed, one of my nails was GREEN because they did not file them correctly so water was getting under the dip and sitting on top of my nail. Once I went to get this second dip removed, another nail was bright green. In addition, my nails werent filed properly and everytime my nails grew I had pain in the sides of my nails because they left sharp ends of my nail to grow into my finger. This was solely due to filing incorrectly. Ive been getting my nails done for years and Ive never had so many issues. Ill never go back. Save yourself some money and go somewhere else. Nice staff and attractive salon, but terrible job on what matters.

I love this place. The staff and service are wonderful. My husband and I try to get there once a month. It is a relaxing hour or so of manicures and pedicures with an ok glass or two of Australian wine. I highly recommend it!

Terry is great! I am happy to be her client. She is very attentive, nice, aims for perfection, never pushes unnecessary services. Terry is a pleasant person and a professional nail artist.

Customer service is extremely lacking. You can literally walk 30ft down the road for higher quality service and better care.I got a manicure (plain no nails) and they didn’t even trim my cuticles or massage my hands. When I asked about it they said that was the service. So I paid $15 to get my nails painted? No way. I’ve been several other times and that wasn’t the case. I don’t know what has happened but in the past few months this place has gone down hill.

Amazing!!! Best place to get your nails done. This place is cozy and relaxing. The space is well decorated, most of all is the service. My deluxe pedicure was amazing. My favorite part were my nails. MICHELLE does an amazing job!!! She does the best nails o have ever had!!!!

I should have written a review over a year and a half ago, but I didnt want to come off rude or ruin a business reputation. I feel as minorities, if we dont speak up, they will continue to disrespect and be rude to us while we spend our money in their nail shops.I was originally going to Top Coat Nails until Katie got pregnant and was no longer doing acrylic nails so she sent me over to this nail shop and suggested Michelle.Once again, they all do a good job at first until they get comfortable. Im very particular about how my nails look because I want them to last for at least 3 weeks. I can say that Im very particular and serious about my nails. I want them to look a certain way and last for 3 weeks until my next visit. Im always kind and professional because I want others to treat me the same. I had to point out errors to Michelle on different occasions and once again her ego was hurt and she was RUDE! Dont give this nail shop your money!Nail techs should be warm, welcoming, and professional at all times. Also, be able to accept constructive criticism. Nail techs need to do nails according to the way the customer likes it, not the other way around. I feel minorities arent treated with the same respect and kindness that others receive across the board at these nail shops.If I were you, I would think twice before spending money here. Find another nail salon that will be kind, treat you with respect and take constructive criticism. Frankly, Im tired of spending my money at these nail shops. I hope this helps!

Mitchell is really mean. I tried to make appointments with her twice but she always never finishes a job. She kept assigning me to somebody else even though I clearly made appointments with her. Shes mostly the one that answers phone calls and make appointments. She is always mean and unfriendly for customers. Shes obviously not one to put on front desk. Even though I love coming there to get my nails done Im never coming back to this place because of her.

Got dip done twice at this salon. Both times the polish and coating chipped off within the first 2-3 days causing the polish to flake and nails to feel rough. It’s a costly manicure that I’ve had done at the salon across the street ( with no issues). Was supposed to last 2-3 weeks but had it removed after only 5 days. Won’t do that again. Not at this nail salon.

You can’t go wrong with this place. I stumbled in here once by accident and Inga took care of me. Today i had Emily and also exceptional. I’ve had four different people and brought friends with me. Everyone is fantastic. This is the place to get your nails done.

If I could give less than 1star I would. I work in the area and been coming here for over 6 months on the regular but last Friday was the worst service Ive ever received. After walking in and someone asking me what I wanted done the manager or owner (I dont know the one with the blonde hair) asks if I needed my gel polish removed and to pick a color. I did and was told itd be ten minutes. During this time a white woman walks in and within 10 minutes was seen I on the other hand was forgotten about and sat there for almost 30 minutes until I left. No one ever checked back with me. I would NOT recommend going here. Divine Nail Salon next to 7 eleven is much nicer anyway. Do yourself a favor and listen to the google reviews, they lack customer service and seem to be very bias.

My daughter and I used to go here. My only gripe is paying for parking. I used to go on Sundays so that I didnt have to pay for parking. Unfortunately, my favorite nail tech doesnt really work on Sundays. I had to cut my budget so I dont even get my nails done. I have a new, closer place and its really nice but extremely busy and kind of loud (its in the hood). Parking is free though and there are about 5 more nail salons in a less than one mile radius. I think we are a bit oversaturated with nail places so Alexandria is just really nice and calm. I just really love it there.

Everyone here is great they always do a great job the color is always on point and my nails are always even :) I recommended my family members here too and they love it here plus they can do amazing designs which is hard to find I come all the way from Fairfax and traffic is tough but its worth it because this place does my nails better then any where else and the nail techs that my mother and I have seen are so nice : )

I did not like the waxing there. Whwn I first came they add looking at me like they were not sure what to do. They tried to overcharge me for waxing my chin. Eyebrows, lip and chin is $25 nit $35. She was trying to charge me $35 for the clean up she had to do on my chin. Chin is included. You are supposed to clean it up. I had to tell the tech on how to wax and clean up my chin. And then when the tech told the head tech what she had to do...the head tech laughed and told me that they had to charge me extra...I never had that happen before. My experience was not good at all so I will not be back. Ive never been treated like that at a nail shop. Treat others like you want top be treated!#

From my experience, I noticed that the nail technicians here only offer wine to white customers, and they rush through the nail/pedi service when it’s a black customer. They do not greet black customers when they enter the salon. However, when a white person enters the salon they eagerly jump up as if Kim K and Kris, along with Courtney walked through the door. I’ve noticed this on two separate occasions. I will not be going back to this salon anymore. My beautiful black sistas... let’s not support businesses that continue to marginalize and undervalue us. We, collectively contribute over 10 trillion dollars in this society. I’ll take my hard earned dollars to a salon where my business is appreciated (i.e. there is another salon directly across the street next door to 7 eleven). #staywoke #iwillnotbemarginilizedOh by the way, the technician finished my medi and pedi in about 20 minutes, charged me $65. I watched this person rush my service because there were two white ladies waiting for service. This is one example of the bias and conisious stupidity that exist at this salon. They need to know all money is green and your business will not continue to succeed with this type of deeply rooted and learned behavior. It’s toxic and in the long run just all around bad for business.

Last evening, i got an appointment for regular pedicure and gel manicure before going to the salon. When i arrived on time, all technicians were busy. So i wait 20 minutes ( that was not first time)And then, The young girl( named INGA) got me for pedicure. I know all of them, bc i am regular customer of this place. They are nice people. Honestly, if i like the place and their jobs, i definitely recommend my friends. My 3-4 friends started going there bc of me. Anyway, i got regular pedicure very nice. Then, time to have gel manicure. Id already had 2 week- full set nail tips and gel manicure. So the other technician (named MICHELLE ) just reshaped and removed nail polish and made french manicure polish and put some diamond stones. Im usually so patient, and yesterday i was same. I saw that she didnt really pay attention, and sometimes i told her what she should do. I really understand that i was the last customer, and maybe she was rushing. I see bumbs on surfaces on nails which means not good job. When İ was asking how much i should pay for them. She said total $95 if i would pay with credit card ( $40 for regular pedicure and $55 for gel manicure) It was so expensive. And it wasnt worthy. I didnt tell anything and paid also i left $10 tip ( i always give 15-20 % tip of total). I think she charged me extra. I know that my friend paid $60 for full set tips and gel manicure before. So pls tell me how it costs $55 if i didnt get new full set .Something was wrong. Sorry guys, i decided to leave this long review about you. Entirely, iam so much disappointed of this place. And this is the last time of going there.
