Absolutely thrilled to find a great Aveda salon near me!

I have been a client of Claude Marcel for more than 7 years, and over all those years have been getting lots of compliments from friends, co-workers, and just strangers, about my cut and highlights. Once the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded in March 2020, Claude Marcel, as well as any other businesses were closed for a couple of months. When the Salon was finally reopened in June, I was initially very hesitant to visit it, but eventually made an appointment for a haircut and color with Claude, as I wanted to look good for a video family celebration.I never regretted I had my appointment on June 29, 2020. Not only the quality of the cut and highlights was as usual impeccable, it was also a very safe visit, exactly as promised. On arrival, I was handed a new packed face mask and gloves. Claude was also wearing a mask and gloves. We were the only two people in the whole salon during the whole visit. The salon was strikingly clean, and there was also a hand sanitizer available both at the reception and in the treatment rooms. I was absolutely happy to get back to my usual super look with a perfect haircut and stylish highlights. An icing on the cake was an opportunity to get some high quality shampoo and conditioner at a discounted price. The only sad moment was not to be able to hug my fantastic stylist, Claude, who once again made a miracle to make me look a few years younger.Many thanks, Claude!!

I really appreciate the Salons commitment to making sure their clients and staff stay healthy. It was my first visit and I will definitely go back. Solo is brilliant. I love my cut.

The shop is in a great location. Parking was easy. The Aveda shop is adequately stocked and the salon has a nice vibe. The stylists are taking steps to ensure customers safety by; offering a mask and gloves at a low price, wearing a mask at all times, one customer and stylist per room, and distancing with the customer as much as feasibly possible. Tims customer service skills were great. I was greeted immediately in a warm and friendly way. The customer service I received was a breath of fresh air. The stylist I saw was Cierra and my experience was exceptional. She informed me on the cut, product use and style before hand. She kept a professional yet friendly demeanor through the whole experience. The conversation was great and above all my hair turned out fabulous! Ive been looking for a stylist whom I could trust to not only do a great job, but also care for the health of my hair. Ive found her! Im in good hands...thank you Cierra!! Dont second guess an appointment with her, you will not be disappointed with the service.

Sally is an amazing talent! She has been cutting, coloring and styling my hair for several years now! She troubleshoots new ideas with me, as my cut is short and funky. Ive seen Sally work miracles on all styles, including more traditional cuts for more senior clients. Shes always pleasant, and remembers conversations weve had, and follows up each appointment. I also enjoy being greeted by Ange, who manages appointments and check in and out. Her talent is also a valuable part of each visit to Claude Marcel I highly recommend this salon.

Their website seriously needs an overhaul. The online booking they boast no longer exists you get to find out once you get onto the booking page. Also, when you click on “services” under “spa” it only lists top level services, i.e massage, facial, etc. There are no detailed services (stone massage, Swedish, deep tissue, etc) listed for any of their services which was highly frustrating when I was specifically looking to see if they offer a specific type of message. Also, no pricing menu - which I could take or leave I guess but it would be nice to have. Overall this website was pretty useless except for giving out contact info.

This was my first trip to Claude Marcel in Alexandria, VA. I followed a stylist who moved to this shop in March. I loved the ambiance of the shop. I was offered something to drink and was often checked on to make sure I had everything I needed. Sally did a great job with my color and I have already received lots of compliments. I opted for a pedicure while my color was processing. Loved it!

Weve taken our daughters here for the better part of two years and its been really really great. Its a bit of a drive for us but entirely worth it. The stylists always add a special touch to both of them every time. Our primary goto, Cierra is brilliant. Brilliant with hair and brilliant with kids. Its just a wonderful experience plus the benefits of an high quality product salon. Highly recommended.

In the words of Coco Chanel, A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life. After leaving this salon I felt just that way, refined, confident and beautiful. Claude and his staff were so courteous, friendly and engaged with me during my entire time there. Their passion for their work and appreciation for their clients definitely shows. I am sure to return!

I really liked the salon and staff, but when I was trying to make an appointment, nobody was answering the phone though it was working hours! I left a message but since 12:08 nobody called me back. It is 1:16 right now.

This is an awesome place! I loved everything about the place; amazing staff, experienced professionals, friendly environment. First time I felt that someone really cares for your hairs and looks as you do. Answered all my questions, no waiting time. Thank you Tikia Neverdon for awesome service, you are the best.

Very disappointed!Yesterday I went to my appointment with Robyn, that I had scheduled a month in advance. I drove an hour to know that she wasn’t not working that day. They didn’t even apologize, I felt so bad because I drove an hour to get there, and they did not call me to letting know that they cancelled my appointment. I was expecting at least that they had someone else to cut my hair. Like everybody’s my time is so value, and felt like they didn’t care.

From out of town and was in a rush to get a cut and style - got me in quick and called with an earlier appointment. Cut was exactly as wanted- will go back when in VA again

As long as I live in Virginia, I will only allow Claude Marcel to cut my curly hair... He changed my life.

I had a great experience with Roya, she asked a bunch of questions, took notes and made me feel right from the start that I was in good hands for a haircut with a new-to-me stylist! A+

Got a bad haircut and then a couple of weeks later, a bad color job. I have spent almost $500 at this salon in the last month and my hair looks like I went to Supercuts. Will not be returning.
