Above and Beyond Community Services I would recommend to everyone!! My family and I have been attending this establishment for 8yrs and when I tell you it was the best decision I have ever made for my family is an understatement. James Clark is someone with a pure heart, he’s excellent with my kids there were times when one of my children would have a breakdown (after hours I may add) I would call and he would not hesitate to get in his car and help. He is an excellent advocate for kids in school when he witnesses an injustice within the school, he attends PPT meetings and he makes it his priority to make sure the kids receive services that they need to succeed in school. His dedication is to make sure that we receive all the services necessary and tools to have a successful life.Whoever says that therapy does not work, my family and I are thriving because of him and his practice, apart from the excellent therapeutic skills, he is an amazing person, he listens without judgment & he genuinely wants every family to succeed! This practice is not about the money it’s a family setting and you feel the energy the minute you walk through the door.I never have to worry when I walk through the door because I know he sincerely wants the best for my family as much as I do. So if you are looking for a place to reach out for help THIS IS DEFINITELY THE PLACE FOR YOU!!! I promise you will not regret it and if you think I’m exaggerating call my bluff and make an appointment I guarantee you will be making the best decision of your life he will open the path to success just know this is a process that doesn’t happen overnight and you have to work hard with him side by side be on the same page as well as follow his guidance because when all is said and done you will look back and know therapy really changes your overwhelming life to a life of promise and success…Book an appointment ASAP you won’t regret it!!!!!

The only reason Im still here is because of Heather. They treated me while I was away at college. I would see a therapist every time I returned home (only like four times a year) and it was a different therapist every time with just an intake appointment. No point in therapy. They literally do not care at all about their patients. Do not get therapy here unless its with Heather, I dont recommend. If I could leave less than a star, I would.

Initially, I was excited to have finally located both counseling and medication management services in New Britain. For the past 6 years, I have been taking a bus to East Hartford to obtain my prescriptions and looked forward to simply walking to my appointments from my apartment. However, I did not realize that (at least) at the New Britain office, services are extremely limited. The prescribing APRN is only available once per month and even those that schedule her appointments do not know what day she will choose to be at this location. Also, I have had several counselors over the past 30+ years, but this was the first time a professional attempted to compare my issues to those she personally experienced within her family. The last time I went I chose to speak of the overwhelming guilt I felt in relation to my fathers death. Yet instead of further exploring my reasoning, she chose to equate my inability to forgive myself with Divine Intervention. Really?! This type of comment has no place in what should be a therapeutic setting.

Very fake in there they dont care and dont listen when someone is asking for help and suffering!! Do not recommend to anyone suffering.. shut this place down!!

Have been coming here for years. Great place , my therapist James is awesome.

My daughter has a great therapist, so Im very happy with the services.

They dont listen to you when u say you need help never recommend to anyone who is truly suffering they dont care!!
