I called this office on a Sat morning because I had just noticed that my 11yo daughters baby tooth (that had been loose and uncomfortable for over a month) was now broken in half, swollen, and looked infected. Her current dentist was not open on Saturday so I was just hoping to get some advise from a professional, at the very least, as to if this was an emergency, or if it could wait until Monday. Sadly, once the receptionist heard that my daughter is covered by state insurance the conversation was over. I was told that they could not help me, even if I paid cash... and while I am sure there are valid and legal reasons behind that statement, when I asked what I could do for my little girl I was simply instructed to call another office.This office had an opportunity to do something absolutely amazing today with little to no effort at all. By viewing the voice on the other end of the phone as a human rather than an income, they could have made a big difference in another humans life. That opportunity was completely missed because this kind of basic humanity is not a billable service!You see, the receptionist that answered from the next office that I called, never even addressed whether or not they could accepted our form of insurance. She just heard that there was an 11 year old little girl out there in pain, with a Dad who cared enough about her to call a stranger to ask for help, and she realized THAT was the most important issue at hand. I was not able to even fully finish explaining my situation before she kindly interrupted me explaining that she felt that I should just speak to a Dr. for advise, first. Perhaps because she knew that they were not going to be able to see us? No matter what her reasoning, the Dr. got on the phone with me and in a matter of less than 3-5 min time he was able to hear our station, calm the worried Father, and give us some practical advise that hopefully will make a little girls weekend a little less uncomfortable.Humans should always come first in any type of business... however this fact is even more so when it comes to health care!

Dr. Jenn is a great dentist!! She takes great care of me and my family!!
