We are new to Washington and had been with our previous dentist for over 25 years. Finding a new practice that is honest and trustworthy is hard.Thankful that we chose Thurston Oaks Dental for a second opinion.Front office staff, hygienist and Dr. Farmer were all very kind and welcoming.My daughter even went for her first non-pediatric dental visit. Even though she was nervous they were very patient with her.Thank you Dr. Farmer and staff!

Impressive service. This morning was my initial visit and i havent been to a DDS in years. If more offices were as friendly, gentle and competent I would go as recommended. I will be returning to this dental office. PS: They scheduled me the next day from when i called and i even got an early morning appointment!

I was very pleased with my recent visit to Thurston Oaks. The cleaning of my teeth was done very carefully and painlessly, and the exam by Dr. Snodgrass clearly explained. I would highly recommend Thurston Oaks Dental.

My family and I have been coming here for years and so have our 4 children. Dr Snodgrass and Farmer are friendly and informative. The staff is very friendly and engaging. Good putting my kids at ease when they’re nervous. They regular check for cancer or other diseases of the the tongue, mouth, gums etc. I feel like care is given to not just the appearance but the durability, function, and comfort of my teeth. My teeth look better then ever and I don’t feel like I get advised to do unnecessary work like I have at another dentist. Caps and night guards are made quickly. We don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon.

We’ve been coming here for quite a few years, and we always get excellent care. Very friendly atmosphere. Angie cleaned my teeth painlessly as usual this week, and we had a great time chatting. It’s fun to look forward to going to the dentist!

I just started going to Thurston Oaks this year and am so glad I did! The staff is great, every person I met so far is amazing. I took my kids as well and they worked so great with them. This is a great place for families, I would highly recommend.

This is actually being written by Lynns wife Marcia. I am very satisfied with the work of the hygienist Trish and the two dentists. I am a retired RN who has taught handling of body fluids to many school staff members over my 30 years as a public school nurse. I was so impressed today with all the safety precautions they had in place to protect me and to protect themselves.

The staff is so nice and always remembers us. They have been helpful in times of need and just during check ups! :) recommend if your looking for a new dentist

After about 15 years of not being to the dentist, I was very apprehensive about going. I spent a TON of time reading reviews, and after seeing all the positive reviews for Thurston Oaks, I decided that was where I wanted to go. For my first appointment, they did a comprehensive exam and x-rays. Boy have they made advancements in how they do that! Instead of cardboard strips that you bite down on, they have this gadget that you put in your mouth and it connects to a computer, allowing them to instantly see the pictures. I was fortunate enough to only have 1 cavity, which seemed to surprise Dr. Jacob Farmer as much as myself. Unfortunately that cavity was so bad, the tooth had to go. It was a wisdom tooth anyway, so no worries there. I was instructed that getting a thorough cleaning was more important to get done first, and that I could schedule the extraction after that, unless the tooth was bothering me, which it wasnt.I had to have 2 separate cleaning appointments due to how much buildup I had on my teeth. Both cleaning appointments with Fred Farmer were mostly painless, and my teeth looked incredible afterward! Having never had an extraction, I was more than a little nervous to have it done. It took me quite awhile to get the nerve to schedule the appointment, and I almost chickened out on the day.When I arrived, the nurse/assistant (Im not sure what her proper title is) did a wonderful job of helping me relax! I wish I could remember her name to give her credit. Anyway, I did not feel most of the novacaine injections at all! The one I did feel really wasnt bad either. Plucking a hair is more painful! Once I was numb, Dr. Farmer went to work. 10 minutes and lots of prying later, and my tooth was out. The novacaine lasted about another 3 hours, and I took some ibuprofen and 1 of the prescription painkillers prescribed after that. My extraction was 26 hours ago as of writing this, and aside from 2 ibuprofen this morning, I havent taken any other pain medicine today. Absolutely the most pleasant experience I could ask for!On top of all this, I was paying out of pocket for all of my appointments, and they have a wonderful savings plan where you pay an upfront fee and it saves you a percentage off everything for 1 year. Ive spent about $1200 collectively for my comprehensive, both cleanings, and the extraction, which is a few hundred dollars less than I would have otherwise spent. I really cant say enough great things about this place, and they definitely have a patient for life!

I have been a client of Dr. Snodgrass at Thurston Oaks Dental for 20 years. I have had excellent care throughout. On the few occasions when I needed urgent dental care, they made sure I was taken care of. Trish provides excellent dental cleaning every six months. I would highly recommend Thurston Oaks for dental care.

Dr. Snodgrass and Trish are an excellent team. (I’m sure all the hygienists are great, but get Trish if you can.) Thurston Oaks is a clean and comfortable office with kind people and great service. Their set-up during COVID was especially well thought out.

I moved out to Vancouver a little over a year ago and randomly picked this office to go to. What a gem of a place I found. I love all of the little gadgets they use and they have great customer service, down to the lovely receptionist. The Hygienist was awesome and he was super thorough and friendly!! Dr. Snodgrass was very attentive to my needs and was there for me when I needed him after hours.It’s been crazy during Covid, but I’ll tell you when I did go there they made me feel safe and the precautions that they took did not go on noticed, with me being in the medical field.

Went to get my teeth cleaned and they took Covid precautions very seriously. Very friendly staff and took the time to explain what I need to improve on to keep my teeth healthy. Would recommend.

This was my 2nd visit. Angie did a great cleaning of my teeth while chatting with me and making me feel comfortable. Dr. Farmer has a wonderful sense of humor. BUT, the chair, it needs to be replaced, it was uncomfortable. I would like more eye contact when being greeted.

Recently had my teeth cleaned by Angi. She was very personable and friendly. She did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth. The entire staff was welcoming and professional.

This is such a nice office! Even with Covid19 going on they made my dental experience wonderful and had a ton of safety measures in place so I felt comfortable being there. Trish is wonderful and really cares how my teeth are doing. She is very gentle and thorough with my teeth cleanings and they got me setup with a night guard to fix my teeth grinding. They took the time to explain my future options for a problem tooth of mine if it continues to give me issues. I definitely would recommend this dentist office!

He lets you know if he sees anything seriously wrong, but usually teeth get put on a watch list. Never any hidden agenda to make you pay more, so honest! Been going here for years and LOVE it!

Great office. Dr Farmer helped me with my sensitive tooth by checking my bite and adjusting the surface of my tooth so Im not hitting it. Really appreciate his ability to assess my situation and doing what is needed. He didnt do more or less than whats needed and so I know Im getting the best care. Teresa my hygienist has a terrific approach to cleanings. My teeth feel super clean. Shes got a sweet personality that makes me at ease and is so welcoming.

Angela Elizondo did a great job of cleaning my teeth, and no pain after the cleaning.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. My husband, who gets very anxious about any dental work, is treated so gently, and they are so patient with him to make sure hes comfortable before beginning any procedure and during. I like the fact that I see the same dental tech at each visit, which allows us to create our own relationship, and she can really keep track of any changes.

Dental assistant was amazing and the dentist was pretty great too. Would definitely recommend them. UPDATE I had a dental emergency after hours and Jacob went out of his way to get me the help I needed even though it was after hours and he was with family. HIGHLY recommend this place. Not one of those used car sales type dental offices. Gives you personalised care and services that are needed, not what they are promoting. Came over from gental dental after being told I have bacteria in my mouth, then having them use a water pick to clean my teeth with out telling me of the costs. Not covered by my insurance and $200.00 for the service. My family loves Dr Snodgrass and his ever so friendly staff so much we drive up from Portland for a visit.

Best dentist in Washington. At first glance, the interior makes it look like you will book a hotel room at the front desk, but youre really just getting a roomy dentist appointment. The people here do their best to make you feel at home in the best possible way so when you walk in with a mundane expression or frown, youll walk out with a smile and satisfaction.

I just got my teeth cleaned and whitened at Thurston Oaks and I am really happy with my experience! My hygienist, Teresa was so kind and my teeth were SO clean after. Laurie was also super helpful and Dr. came in and did a great job on educating me on some different oral hygiene. The office was super clean which is always a plus and I liked the music that was playing. I can’t wait for my next appointment!

Needed an emergency extraction and the folks here were great! Called THIS morning first thing and they had me in just before noon and had me out shortly after. Recently moved up from Oregon and have yet to find a regular dentist..... problem solved! Thank you soooo much you all are awesome!!!!!

Even though we are in a pandemic, the dental office was extremely organized and efficient. Cleanliness was top priority but was not a difficult portion of work on the patient end. The only complaint I can think of is that when you do your pre-appoinrment Covid questionnaire online, its difficult to locate it as there is writing over top of other writing and its hard to know where to find the info you need to fill out prior to the appt. Once inside, the office was quiet and the procedure fast and great in all ways. We love our hygienist and Doctor Snodgrass.

If you dont already love your dentist, you arent a patient of Thurston Oaks Dental. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. My hygienist Trish is a jewel, gentle and caring and always asks about my life remembering what we spoke about at the last visit. Dr. Snodgrass is hands down the best dentist Ive ever been too.

UPDATE 1/12/21: I had my dental cleaning with a new dental hygienist, Fred, and he was very warm and professional. He explained steps very well and inquired about any preferences or needs within the cleaning, making the experience a breeze and quite pleasant. I highly recommend this dental office as their staff are very willing to work with you and your needs, and they treat you like family.2 years ago: Friendly, welcoming and professional staff & Dentist! When I joined their care several years ago when my dentists office closed, the fact that my husband was already a client added to the welcome and I felt that I too mattered even before I entered the office for the first time. Very down to earth, able to listen to my needs and requests, very focused on providing quality care.

I just had to share the most amazing experience. The folks at Thurston Oaks Dental are awesome! I hadnt been to a dentist in 15 years but was having some discomfort, so finally decided to go in. They were respectful of my nervousness but joked and smiled and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Farmer gave me a thorough assessment of what needed to be done, and when I went back for the first crown the staff were kind and friendly. The procedure was painless and easy, even though I needed a crown on a hard-to-reach back tooth. I was treated so well and felt like I was among friends. The teamwork between Dr. Farmer and the staff members was really impressive - these are people who know each other well and know how to work together smoothly. I cant tell you how impressed I am - and how eager I am to go back for the rest of the work I need. Waiting 15 years was stupid, but now Ive found an amazing dental practice, and I will be a regular patient! THANK YOU.
