Nice guys, I was impressed they could get me in the next day. I felt like they were a little expensive but to be honest I dont know the current prices of labor and parts so that was more of a feeling than anything else. Prices everywhere have been going up lately so I guess it would only make sense that their prices would probably too. I should note here that the bill was less than the estimate because one of the repairs turned out to be something different than what I had initially thought it was. So given the opportunity to overcharge me, they did not. Although having a 9 a.m. appointment I didnt hear from them the entire day until I called them at the end of the day which seemed a little odd. And when I got the vehicle back the next day the same dashboard light and audible ding was still present at the start of the vehicle which to me means they didnt check it after they were finished. As they had just closed, I had to take it back the next day and they fixed it in 5 mins. All in all I would definitely use them again and I would recommend them to someone who needed their vehicle repaired.

I got stranded in Vancouver over the weekend due to a failed alternator. Fortunately, for me, it happened on a Saturday and the Hazel Creek location was open. Terry did everything he could to work me into the schedule and get me back on the road. This included hunting down parts and the whole team staying late to finish the job when the parts showed up near close of business. It would have been easy to tell me to wait until Monday when they reopened, but they chose to go the extra mile for me instead! The work was done with high quality parts at a reasonable price too! I have always trusted Gaynor’s to do a great job. I have used them in the past and they are extremely efficient, the communication is great, and always do the job right the first time. l feel they are a bit expensive, but to be honest, I haven’t taken my vehicle anywhere else in a long time, so maybe they are more competitive than I think.I guess the best doesn’t come cheap.I will continue to use Gaynor’s for my vehicle service.

My car couldn’t start all in a sudden about two months ago. AAA helped me and got me into this place. They replaced the starter and battery. Although later I learned it was overpriced, I was okay with because we needed the car ASAP and they fixed it within two days. The reason I gave a one star because after two months, the battery wasn’t working probably so I brought my car there again, and those guys in the office had bad attitude and didn’t care about my situation at all! Please avoid them! Just drive ten more minutes to the Salmonella Creek location and you can get much better service!

Air bag light always on and brought in for diagnostic and repair. I accepted their quote , they found it to be an easy fix and charged me nothing. People just don’t do that anymore. Will definitely be using them and referring them in the future.

Ive done business with Gaynors since Tom ran his shop behind the old Kiels and Hazel Dell Hardware store off Hazel Dell Ave. in the 1980s. They have consistently done good work, and get it right the first time. The staff are always professional and friendly. Highly recommended.

These guys are great! I spoke with Terry to set up my service, installing brake pads and rotors on my car, which came from auction with no records, they did the job great and same day and went over it with a fine tooth comb to give me a detailed but pressure free inspection report that pointed a few things out but also listed things already handled and gave me more confidence in the decision I made with the vehicle. I also asked about an issue I had with my tires rubbing the wheel well (I sized up too far) and they were able to make some adjustments to stop the rubbing. A+++ team, highly recommended.

I received good customer service and good attention to my cars needs as always.It’s so worth the drive that I have to make to get my car serviced here.I will say however that this was my first visit since COVID and was uncomfortable with no one wearing masks except one. Everyone coming in the door was wearing one and I kept mine on the entire visit, so Ill wait until I know it’s safe to return for any future visits.

My van is running exceptionally well after being serviced and repaired at this location. I had a wonderful experience and got a fair deal for the amount of work I had done. I recommend this shop! Julio helped me prioritize which repairs were more important and didnt jump to the most expensive option. The service was professional, quick, and worth every penny. Took my vehicle in mid fall because the heater was not working. They charged me $600 for apart that is $200 and 2 hrs of labor for a 20 minutes job. On top of that the heater ONLY works if car is running for 30 minutes and heater is set at 90. I repeatedly complained and they said everything is fine. Now have an honest master mechanic who said they saw a single mom and ripped you.

Because of the coming cold weather and the notifications from my last visit to consider a new battery in the near future, I called yesterday to schedule this service. This afternoon I was on my way again, in under an hour of arriving at the appointed time. My car is sixteen ! Years old and they have been taking care of me all along.

This morning I spoke to Tommy Gaynor and he set me up with a drop in with his Hazel Dell crew. When I showed up they immediately came out and checked my daughters car and thankfully it was nothing serious. They sent me home as a very happy customer.

I took my truck here to get a second opinion from what the dealer told me. They were very thorough in their evaluation, more so then the experts at the dealer. They explained the situation, laid out the options, pricing and risks. I liked being able to talk with the technicians which you cant do at the dealers. These guys were great to work with. Highly recommend.

Good customer service from front desk. However I had them do a job on my daughters Jeep. They completed the requested job but returned vehicle with a non working ac system. It worked fine when they recieved vehicle. The job required moving some ac components to get to fan motor. They created a leak in the ac system. Now non working system. They claim it did not work when recieved. This is absolutely not true. It worked fine. I had been using them since we moved to the area on a few of our vehicles. We have found a much more honest shop with more competitive pricing. They now get my business.

They were knowledgeable, and very down to the earth guys. Gaynors is the best. I have known about them for quite a while but always thought I could not afford them or that the work would not be done right, etc... The typical skepticism. Well I was wrong. One, you can afford them. Two, they do the work right...the first time...period. I have had 3 different older vehicles worked on. These were extensive hard complicated repairs. Each time Gaynors surprised me with getting the vehicle done quickly and done right. They have done extensive work on a 94 TBird SC, 92 F150 front-end steering complete, 06 f150 front-end and engine. Gaynors people really dedicated themselves to knocking out my vehicles and getting them done right. Really appreciated.

Service went okay, but someone there left transmission fluid on my seat cover. I had to wipe it, but it still left a stain. The clerk kept saying it was dry, which isnt the point. There is a stain with a toxic hydraulic fluid stinking up my car after it was detailed! They tried to clean it, but my car still wreaked of transmission fluid and I ended up having to throw away the seat covers to get rid of the smell. Extremely disappointed.

Responsive and honest, got right in on urgent repair, found out very quickly that the car wasnt worth working on, so they didnt even charge for the inspection. Regardless of the turn out, they were awesome and helpful and I was able to sell the car. They let me leave it in the their lot until I could figure out where to take it and finance a new car quickly elsewhere.

For the past twenty year I have been getting my cars serviced at Gaynor’s. I have always experienced great customer service, they are honest, timely and fair. What more can you ask for? Took my truck in to get an alignment after replacing a steering rack and control arm bushings. The guys in the front office are very knowledgeable and easy to deal with. I was in and out in 45 mins and received all the specs showing my truck was perfectly aligned. Would definitely recommend taking your vehicle to Gaynors, they will get the job done right the first time.

I needed to have my rear brakes done, calipers included. Even before bringing it to their attention of a competitors price, they were willing to wiggle a bit for the hefty tag. George was awesome! Had the car inspected because i have had bad experiences before, but the car had the best inspection report the mechanic shop had seen in a long time. Car has been excellent, and absolutely love it! Would definitely recommend.

I made an appointment online for an oil change. When I arrived I was informed that my appointment wasn’t in their system. Instead of telling me to come back later, Julio told me to have a seat and that they would fit my car in. He called a local auto part supplier and had a filter delivered to the shop and was able to get my car serviced by a technician within an hour. I was very impressed and grateful for his customer service. I’ll be going back again for other maintenance work. This definitely beats driving into Portland. Thanks!

I haven’t had the best of luck with mechanics. Always seems like nothing was wrong with my vehicle when a take it in for basic maintenance yet they always have a list of what’s wrong and it never compares to a different mechanics opinions. However, at Gaynor’s I took it in for an oil change mentioning that I may need new brakes and they didn’t try to agree with me, nor did they come back with anything wrong with it. For once I don’t feel like someone was just out for money. Told me the truth about a clean bill of health on my truck. Thanks for honesty! I will be back for sure.

The diagnostic fee is a scam. I didnt need a diagnostic inspection, there was nothing mechanically wrong with my car.

Everyone was so informative, always made sure I knew what was going on before they did it. The team was respectful and very helpful. My truck was kept clean and from what I can tell, what they said they fixed has been fixed, no more problems with the truck. They had it done before expected which was nice. Definitely recommend them and will be using them in the future.

I had a loud noise coming from under the hood. Gaynor was able to take my truck in immediately and had a full diagnostic completed with in a couple of hours. My truck was repaired same day and back on the road that evening. Very happy with service and price.

Overall great experience but I’m surprised they charge so much for a diagnostic. When I lived in another state the diagnostic was free with the hope you would use their business. The bill also includes a strange parts fee of $7. I opted out of any work or parts so I was surprised they charged me. The salesperson said it’s s standard fee. They could be more transparent about that or just add $7 to bill every time. Great service, very professional but it appears it comes at an extra cost.

The people here were very nice. I enjoyed the free coffee and apple juice. They had a shuttle to drop me off home while my car was in the shop. They had a small coupon for me to use which was nice. All three of the workers I talked to were very nice. The guy who shuttled me home made me laugh a lot. The two counter people were awesome too. There was a small piece in my trunk that was out of place, but it didnt take more than 30 seconds to figure out how to put it back in place. Other than the cost of the repair (which is really due to my type of vehicle) I had no complaints. Very good shop, would certainly recommend.

A while back I took my car to the dealership to have have a recall maintenance performed, while doing that they quoted me several thousand dollars worth of repairs and maintenance that needed to be done. Being quite skeptical, I brought it to Gaynors to have my AC serviced and the car inspected. I was told about a couple things that may need to be done in the future, nothing urgent, and assured me that the car was in great shape.Its nice to know you can count on a good mechanic!

Wow! What service! I went in yesterday for a scheduled appointment to have my tires aligned. After about 2 hours I got a phone call that my car was ready. When I got there, they explained that they had to take my car to their other location as their alignment machine was broken. I was astounded. They easily could have canceled my appointment and delayed this service.

We have been taking our cars to Gaynors for 11 years. We have had very good luck and feel that they are always honest with their opinions of repair work needed. They are not pushy and are easy to make an appointment with. Now that they have on online appointment site, it is easier to schedule. I appreciate the email reminders that we get. Julio is the main guy on the phone and is helpful and courteous, and never makes you feel ignorant.

Horrible. Paid $70 for a diagnosis. They told me my starter my was bad and it wasn’t. They quoted me an outrageous price that was different from what they told me on the phone so I took my car from there and took it somewhere else just to find out The positive connector to my battery was disconnected the whole time. Waste of my time. I expected more. Won’t be returning. I’ll be taking my car to Corys Car Care from here on out. Thanks

Awesome service! Fist time here. As a girl Im always nervous that theyre going to either overcharge or recommend things I dont even need but these guys were super cool. They even have drivers to take you home while youre waiting for your car to get done!
