This company preys on the vulnerable population of college students. congratulations, i might not be able to pay my rent this month purely because i was parked right next to a visitor spot. but pick me, not the literal broken down truck that’s been parking in a visitor spot for months. i hope this company sleeps well at night making a living off of others suffering.

Towed me at my apartment where I was parked CORRECTLY. They then told me I did nothing wrong and made me come pick up my car. But thank god they gave me a gift card for an oil change. They literally just bully people because they can.

Parrish towed me because i was parked in guest parking for 30 minutes. maybe the worst/most unprofessional towing company in the GTR. unreal.

Warning Don’t Use This Business!!! Unethical business practice. They are operating a scam in the parking lot beside La Terraza Mexican Restaurant, preying on unsuspecting diners. They placed a tiny sign behind the bushes so it’s not visible then boot all the cars and start towing. We thought the parking lot was for overflow restaurant parking since it was not clearly marked as no parking, private parking or tow away zone. Fortunately we returned to our vehicle before it was towed and paid the $87 shakedown. If this is not illegal it should be.

When I needed a pull for a stuck tractor, Ben and his team were prompt to show up, knew exactly how to make the recovery, and were very reasonable with their prices. Highly recommend.

Beware this towing service is running a scam in a large empty parking lot next to La Terraza Mexican restaurant in Starkville, MS. Basically the towing service has two small inconspicuous signs posted on the perimeter of the dimly lit parking lot. One of which was in a bush. In hind site we now know a Parrish towing employee was waiting in the shadows for restaurant patrons to park in the lot and go inside for dinner so he could lock vehicles down with tire boots. When returning to our vehicle our choices were to pay this guy $87 to have the boot removed or he told us we could pay $225 to get it from their tow holding lot. Starkville Athletic Club owns the lot and had only 3 cars in their lot at 9pm. Total shakedown scam! Beware of this horrific tow company!

Nice people and utterly incompetent.

My son who lives at The Social Campus had a friend visit him. The friend could not find a parking space in the visitor parking so he parked in the resident parking since he was only picking up my son. His friends truck was towed. When they went to pick it up THE DRIVER TOLD them that if they ever did not have a parking space it WAS OK to park in the handicap space as long as they left a note on the dash explaining why. Today, my son did not have a parking space so he parked in the handicap (which i told him to NEVER park in one again) and was towed despite leaving a note as the tow truck driver had instructed. They seem to troll the apartment complexes on these 18-20 year old kids. When I called they just could not believe that their driver would say that. So they called the driver and he admitted to telling them that but he only meant it for the weekend. That WAS NOT communicated. Either way, they are happy....they have $217 more. I have also called the apartment complex and asked they never do business with them again. Especially with an employee telling them one thing and then doing another just to make the $$$$

I asked them kindly if they could look at my car. They told me now and continued to bash my head againist the counter. When i threatened to sue, they then stuffed tissues down my throat. After i fee minutes they took my phone and tracked my family. They took my family away from me i am writing this from my macbook which was also stolen but i got it back. Please. All i want is my family back.

Ralph Woods at Parrish Towing is who you want to call if you ever need a vehicle towed. He went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I was at work, and needed the vehicle towed from my home to the dealership. I was able to go to work, and not worry about anything. He got all the information via text and took care if it. He even worked with my insurance, so I did not have to pay out of pocket. He was prompt, patient, professional, and willing to do whatever it took to get the job done at the least inconvenience to me. If you ever need a tow, call Parrish and ask for Ralph Woods. You won’t regret it!

Horrible Customer Service. I parked in Parking spot in Helix, which was the correct parking spot. I go towed because I “double parked.” I know for a fact I did not and now they are telling I’ll have to pay to get it back. I will fight this. Unacceptable, unclassy, unprofessional rude people that Work for this busineee. DO NOT USE THEM THEY WILL SCAM YOU

Same experience as Michael Jones. Either pay the $217 or we take the vehicle. My son was right there, happened to see him start towing from his balcony so he ran downstairs. He was parked in the parking garage of his complex. The violation...parking over the line. This is ridiculous. Lots of complaints about this company.

I am currently writing this from the back of their maintenance closet. the owner destroyed my car with a shotgun and sledgehammer and when i asked him to stop he tied me up and threw me back here. its been three days now. i miss my family

Im currently hiding from the owner because he threatened to force feed me baby food if i didnt pay the $217 for my car. i dont like baby food, this is tragic

On such short notice, the company was able to tow not only my vehicle, but me as well to Tupelo (my nearest dealership). The driver, Raphael, was very nice and seemed to really enjoy what he does! Very safe environment!P.S. Raphael’s tow truck was really clean, inside and out.

I cannot say enough regarding the excellent customer service I received during my recent experience with this company. I was especially impressed with the receptionist Mary and her level of professionalism and genuine concern during a very stressful time for me. Three of my friends have been towed from the same apartment complex in the past two weeks, along with many others I’m sure. They sit and wait in the parking lot and wait for someone to park in a non “visitor” spot, when all the visitor spots are full. They then bring all of their man power out and tow everyone who is parked in a regular spot. There are plenty of other regular spots open for residents to park, and the visitors parked in them are not taking up any needed space. I’m quite certain that no one calls to complain, and that they have actually nothing better to do on a Friday night than to charge college kids trying to visit their friends $200. It’s unbelievable. Not to mention, one of the jerks who towed a friend of mine, raised his voice several times and was very rude overall. He even swore at her and called her very inappropriate names. Not sure who’s running this company but they’re doing it wrong. Only taking advantage of kids so they get their paychecks. Just a sick money grab.

Today Mr. Josh picked up my BABY/1998 Corvette to deliver her to the Dealership for repairs. I was concerned that the car is so-low to the ground, but Mr. Josh assured me that he would take very good care of my BABY. He was very professional, and really knew what he was doing! I was helped by a man named Dustin Capps who was absolutely fantastic. He jumpstarted my car and then filled up one of my tires with air because it was a little low (something I didn’t even know I needed). I loved my service and will most definitely use Parrish for any needs in the future

Fell victim to this guys towing scheme this weekend along with many others. Truck got towed overnight. Then couldn’t even access my truck until 3pm the next day. Baseball game tickets stuck in the truck. Had to buy more. They didn’t care. Wouldn’t let me get them. Damage to my truck that they wouldn’t own up to. $217 for a tow bill is a racquet from this company. All I can say is Karma is a real deal. When it’s hits, they need to think back to the many people they have wronged.

This is an unbelievable scam that is being run between the apartment complexes and Parrish in Starkville! My son’s car was towed from his girlfriend’s apartment complex and he had to pay $280 to get it back. They have someone who trolls the parking lots, regardless of there being plenty of empty spaces, looking for cars without resident stickers. I understand towing people for parking illegally, but the cost is absolutely ridiculous! I have never payed more than $80 to tow a vehicle in Atlanta! Nice money making scam!

This towing company is running a SCAM in Starkville and preying on the students of Mississippi State University. They towed my daughters car while she was visiting a friend at The Social Campus apartments. My daughter was parked in a parking space that was on the same row as a sign labeled Guest Parking. My daughters car was there for less than 5 hours. She had to pay $217 to get her car back and they pressured her into paying the fine by telling her that they would charge another $75 as a holding fee if she didnt pay by 3PM. Needless to say, they are running a shady business and exploiting the students of Mississippi State University. Please think twice before using this business.

Today I called Parrish Towing for a lockout. Ralph arrived to my vehicle in less than 10 minutes. The lockout was done in proficient timing. I was highly satisfied with his performance!

I called Parrish for a lock out after mistakenly locking my key in my car. Raphael intelligently answered the phone and sent someone to help me as soon as he could. John was sent to unlock my car, in which he did an amazing job. I have always encountered great business with Parrish and always recommend Parrish Towing first!!

I got into an accident and my car got wrecked and got stuck in marshlands somewhere in the middle of nowhere in Mississippi. Someone who stopped by to help called Parrish Automotive and Towing company to help. Raphael came down with the towing truck and was incredibly skillful in pulling my car out of the difficult situation. He was also extremely reasonable and helpful through the entire process and was a calming presence during a super stressful time. I would reccommend any one in and around Starkville to avail their towing services.

Absolutely terrible. they refused to look at my car and took my dog when they left. i had to pass an obstacle corse filled with lava and spikes to get my dog back.

I was driving through the state of Mississippi on business and made the mistake of putting diesel fuel in my non-diesel car. Ben the owner/driver from Parrish Towing came to give me a tow. He treated me wish such respect and kindness!!! To show what type of gentleman he is...with my car in tow he dropped me off at a hotel and picked me up again in the morning to take me to his shop where they had already started fixing my car to get me back on the road again. Honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with any company. I don’t even think they deserve the one star I gave them but it was the only way I could voice my experience with them. My car got towed (that was my fault), but when trying to talk to the employees about getting it back and what I needed to do, every one of them were very rude. They wouldn’t let me speak and would raise their voices at me. Another night, around 11:00pm, I had driven around for 45 minutes trying to find a place to park at my apartment, I finally notified them to let them know that there were cars parked at the complex that were not residents and were taking up spots. When they responded they said that their driver was asleep and refused to give me any kind of idea on how long it would take for the driver to be able to come take care of the situation. I would not recommend this company for any reason.

This company is really hard up for money ripping kids off for $217 by towing their vehicles. My daughter was in Starkville visiting friends came to her apartment about 1 am then she got up getting ready to leave at 8 am and her car was towed! She parked in the guess parking and it was still towed and about 5 others were too. I guess this is the only way the tow company and the apartment complex can continue to stay up and running. You need to stop doing people wrong because you will reap what you sow..

Josh Moore was very helpful. He picked up my fiancé and I tonight where we were stranded after my Ford F-150 broke down near Starkville and drove us all the way to Columbus. He also helped work out the details with the insurance company to make sure we weren’t overcharged and he arrived well before the estimated time of arrival provided.

Was just towed in by Parrish Automotive and Towing, operator Josh was top of the line and offered knowledgeable information in regard to towing and had great customer service communications.

Got a boot on my car, and instead of paying the normal 89$ rate (reasonable), I had to cough up 217$ because he “was already in the area talking to security”. Didn’t seem like a coincidence, you just wanted to rack up the prices. Spoke to the manager this morning and he’s so upset about my review he’s refusing to help. I wasn’t even calling to “get money back” rather than talk about how the whole procedure was inappropriate for someone to just be waiting in the area. I didnt see him out the boot on my car. He came 10 minutes after like he would’ve with anyone else but I was charged more. Sorry, since we can’t communicate my review stays. If you don’t want “nasty reviews” maybe you shouldn’t have nasty practices.

My daughter is a college student at MSU. She lives at Helix apartment complex and has her own designated paid for parking spot. On her birthday we sent flowers to her that she picked up and brought back to her apartment. She backed into what she thought was her Parking spot, ran the flowers upstairs. She came down 20 minutes later and saw a tow truck by her vehicle. She ran out there in a panic and said sir sir why are you towing my vehicle and he said you are in the wrong spot. Her spot was 2 Spots over and empty, as was most of the lot. She said I have a parking permit for my spot and it’s there - 10 feet away. He said I know I saw your decal and your spot. He said you want me to tow this ? She said no, sir. He said that will be $217. She said sir it’s my birthday and Im sorry I just made an honest mistake. Can you please lower my vehicle and I give you a tip for your time? He said I can’t do it , once it’s on he truck I have to charge you the whole charge as if I towed it. He took her drivers license verifying it was her birthday and took her credit card and charged her $217 even though he didn’t tow it. I called the driver, Rafael , later that day and asked him if he thought $217 was a fair charge for parking in the wrong spot. He said he had to, company policy. I said no you didn’t - you could have been a decent human being and understand this was an honest mistake. He said the person who had that spot called us because they couldn’t part there and it’s his job tow it away. I said yes it is, but you didn’t tow it and it was 20 minutes for someone who clearly has her own spot and made a simple mistake. You could have shown an ounce of compassion and moved on. I called the company the next day to speak to the owner, Ben, to give them one last opportunity to do the right thing. Ben was even less compassionate. He said it wasn’t an honest mistake in fact it was a very dis-honest thing your daughter did. This disgusted me and showed what kind of person Ben is and how bad business is that he thinks price gauging/extorting a 20 Year old female college student on her birthday is the right thing to do. My daughter was incredibly kind and apologetic throughout the whole conversation and I acknowledged she made a mistake for 20 minutes but $217 is ridiculous. These people are bad people and I wouldn’t trust them with your repairs, towing, etc.
