The high-pressure fuel pump was faulty on my car, so I took here after hearing from several locals about this places stellar reputation. They wanted to upcharge me $200 for an ECM flash, $200 for fuel injection cleaning, and $200 for a battery. The battery set off a red flag because I had just tested it a few days prior; 440 cranking amps in cold weather. They even called me twice about the upcharges, pushing hard for me to agree to them. I said I just wanted the fuel pump replaced, nothing more. I wasnt 100% sure about the ECM flash and injection cleaner; my car had been running perfectly fine before the high-pressure fuel pump went out. So I figured I would at least get a second opinion. While I was paying for the services, an elderly gentleman ahead of me was apparently also upcharged to a sum of $2600, and the manager read off a long list of things that they fixed. He was obviously on a fixed income, and his car likely was worth little more than his bill. He kept saying he couldnt believe that there were so many things wrong with it and that he had just paid $2000 last year to have the car fixed. I felt sorry for him and was angry at the thought of him being charged for things he didnt really need. A mechanic friend of mine had a look at my car last weekend and hooked up his scanner; he said nothing else was wrong with the car and that I was smart for not letting this garage upcharge me. Be wary of the tactics this place uses to upcharge its customers. If they call you with a laundry list of issues, tell them just to fix what you took the car in for, and get a second opinion on the rest. They are insistent too; I couldnt believe they called me a second time to pressure me into paying for services I had already turned down.
