This place used to be so good I dont what happened but the customer service is getting worse you have definitely lost a reliable customer and his animals. I hope you teach everyone about the basic concept of kindness and professionalism.

I have lots of reason to believe this clinic didn’t thoroughly examen my dog Bella . I took Bella in because I thought she was pregnant. I needed a check up and vaccinations , and I asked them to check if she was pregnant, the vet tech told me (after I had to remind him that I had asked ) that she wasn’t pregnant (showed no signs). After 1 week she started leaking milk and went into labor , long story short the puppy sadly didn’t make it . I had trusted the vet and vet tech and when I called the clinic (after my dog showed symptoms of labor) the tech just recommended emergency treatment. No apology for the wrongful examination / didn’t even acknowledge it.

We are new to TVH, but we came here because my daughter used to bring her dog Jayme here and gave them high praises. None of our dogs in the past would go into a vets office willingly, but our dog Morris loves coming here! We boarded Morris here for a week and I was worried because hed never been boarded before and it was going to be for such a long time. He must have had a great week because now whenever we pull into the parking lot, hes so happy he can hardly contain himself lol. Hes being treated now for things that have required return visits and ask I have to say is, Lets go to the vet and my 60 lb dog is dragging me to the truck! Dr Stribley and the staff are amazing caretakers of our beloved, and we wont go anywhere else. Thank you Texas Veterinary Hospital 🥰

They open pretty early in the morning so that was nice, cause we had an early morning situation with my dog Lola. I was able to get her in the same day. Which is awesome. If your a 1st time client the office fee is waived. And they do accept CareCredit Cards (life savers). Large parking lot in case it gets busy. You have to call the office to check in, and stay in your car, obviously due to Covid measures. Wasnt expecting that, but rather safe than sorry.Overall our visit was great. The staff seemed friendly and the vet tech raved about how sweet my girl was ( I am biased and of course think mine is the sweetest ) so I appreciated that.Cost was about what I was anticipating. So Im glad it didnt seem like there was any overcharge. I did forget to ask if they take military discount but Ill ask next time I see them.

I was devastated to pick up a young feral cat from spay surgery and find out she was a nursing mama, and I was not informed about it before surgery. Texas Veterinary Hospital said cat must have pre-surgical exam the day before surgery, they would keep her overnight, and do surgery the following day. I suspected cat may be pregnant but wasnt sure. I picked her up after surgery and was then informed the cat already had babies and was still lactating. I am sick to my stomach they didnt notice this during the pre-surgical exam and contact me to let me know so I could postpone the surgery. If I am interested in saving one feral cat, I am surely interested in saving her babies too. As it is now, I cant let mama cat outside because she just had surgery. Meanwhile, a litter of nursing kittens has probably just died due to lack of milk/food and in the sweltering heat. All this happened after waiting in my car the day before surgery for OVER AN HOUR after my appointment time just to drop off the terrified poor cat. They have only curbside service so I had to sit in my car (running and AC on since it was 98 degrees) for over an hour just to be seen and cat taken in. After paperwork and almost $600 payment, I had been there for an hour and a half in an idling car. I have had success with this clinic on and off over the years but there is no way I can go back after this. Mama cat is fine and I am walking my alleyway and asking neighbors to check their backyards but it is probably too late to save the babies.

Arrived for my 11:30 appt & called to let them know I was there, however waited almost until 1 o’clock... calling them multiple times in between to let them know I was still waiting, each time they said I would be next. Eventually they told They had to emergencies come in, OK I understand. Still waiting. Then they came out and asked if I could just reschedule. I told them listen if you would’ve told me an hour ago that I would’ve need to reschedule on behalf of the emergencies, I would’ve completely understood. Instead I took time off of work, and waited in my car with my three dogs for almost an hour witch no communication from y’all other than when I called you to let you know I was still waiting. Additionally called right after I left to speak to the manager, she said she had no idea that I had been waiting, even though the people who kept letting me know I was next said that she was aware. And all she could say was sorry & ask for me to reschedule. Had an appointment with my cat for tomorrow, will not be returning. Emergencies take precedent over regular appts, I completely understand and agree, but there is no excuse for bad communication and bad customer service.

My dog is old and I am aware that she has a heart murmur but I took her for her diarrhea and her vaccinations she was due. The tech was just as nice as he could be but the vet treated me like I was just a bad mother. I have been using that clinic for many years and every time I go there is a different vet. The cost is outrageous and they wanted to do all kinds of x-rays which I didnt think were necessary plus I couldnt afford them anyway. I dont know if I should change clinics or wait until they change vets again.

This was our first visit, when our 3-year-old boxer was due for his rabies vaccination. (For some time, we hadnt been happy with his previous vet, whose clinic advertised as Affordable and really wasnt; and who had been slow to recommend critical care for our other dog, who we subsequently lost to an auto-immune blood disorder.)We had to wait quite a while to be seen, because the vet was dealing with an emergency--which was perfectly understandable. It was well worth the wait. I had questions about which vaccinations were really necessary, as there have been reports of bad reactions to combination vaccinations. The vet tech told me that the vaccines in question--which our previous vet pushed on us--werent necessary and never tried to up-sell me, as they did at our previous vets office.The wellness exam for new patients is free. After they examined and vaccinated our pup, Dr. Brown came back and gave me a detailed report. He also thoroughly informed me about any possible (rare) reactions to the rabies shot, which they had never done at our previous vets office. He spent plenty of time with us and never made us feel rushed or hurried.My final bill was less than $16, the charge for the rabies vaccine. Well definitely be going back. Its so refreshing to find a medical establishment, animal or human, that doesnt try to up-sell you on pharmaceuticals and procedures.

In the last 3 years or so, theyve had a high turnover of staff for some reason. Today, I took my dog in for a regular allergy injection. In the 4 years Ive taken her there, they always allowed me to hold my dog while she gets the shots. Today I made it clear I wanted to do just that, as always. They guy Ive never seen took my dog saying he was going to weigh her, but went ahead and injected her without me there. Its just the principle. My dog doesnt do well with strangers until she really gets to know them. Anyway, the price of the injection seems to be a lot higher than when I first started this about 2 years ago. Im not going to change vets yet, but Im starting to think about it. I miss Dr. Lowe and Dr. Brown. Too bad they have such a high turnover rate of Doctors and staff.

Staff was so professional and compassionate!! Sadly we recently had to put down our sickly 16yr old cat Tigger. Staff was amazing!. Very patient and even though got in right before they closed they told us to take our time with our grieving. Never felt pressured to leave even though they were closed and have families to get home to. It was a sad experience but they helped us so much!

Dr. Lowe is the most dedicated, compassionate and knowledgeable veterinarians weve ever taken our dogs to for intensive care. My schnauzer had bladder stones and not only did Dr. Lowe surgically remove them with no complications, but she recommended a diet that has kept the stones from returning for an additional 5 years! Thank you Dr. Lowe.

The only reason Dr. Brown works here is because he was fired from Family Pet Hospital for completely butchering my poor baby’s eye. I had only rescued my dog a week before going to FPH when this guy (for some reason I got him and not the other better vets that we had been seeing for years) examines my dog and offers eye surgery. Convinced me that it will benefit her and prevent her from having eye issues. Being a new dog owner I thought that it seemed like a fine idea and he said it was an easy procedure. I still beat myself up til this day (this happened July 2016) about letting him lay a hand on my dog. She was perfect and I was an idiot for thinking she “needed” surgery. I will be attaching photos of before surgery, the day I picked her up from surgery and her current eye. He completely over adjusted her right eye lid - Took too much of the eye lid margin away and sewed the lid together. Because she has baggier third eyelids, she can now barely see through her right eye. It healed better than expected but I have gone through the trouble of seeing three different eye specialists since then to see if it is worth another surgery to fix it but I have not done so. I was able to express how outraged I was and even got my money back but I am still considering suing you for what you did to her. And I’m very happy that family pet does not have you on their staff. People need to be aware of your mistake and not trust you to cut open their animal. I don’t care where you went to school or how many successful surgeries you’ve had. You messed up! I still cry about it often and want to put the blame on myself but this was your fault!

Dr. lowe is an amazing, compassionate vet. She has been consistently available for our geriatric dogs whenever we need her, even talking to me on the phone to get me through difficult times. I have lived in many cities, but have never had a vet who truly loves my animals as much as i do. Fabulous support staff too. Thank you for going above and beyond for my fur babies.

Hi was disappointed in the bed making a remark about cats are like women and the tech have tattoos and forgot to clip the feet had to bring her back in and his right eye was infected. When I was called about the results for the first time. She told me I had to bring a stool in at 30 days. It would be better if they would tell us before we go. So the client doesnt have to come back several times. I asked the results sent to my email and they have not done it yet. Poor customer service for the price that I paid. Thinking of going somewhere else next year. and not very friendly at the desk either. the doctor who called me on the phone she was very helpful.

Dr. Lowe is so incredibly professional. Her care for my pets has been the very best. She has a way of calming and care for my pets that makes the owner and the pets feel at ease and at peace.

Dr. Lowe and staff are amazing! Went in because my fur-kid had bad skin allergy and my old vet told me they couldnt do anything without going to extreme and expensive procedures. Dr. Lowe immediately accessed my dogs issues and started her on medication that helped alleviate her issue. She continues to follow up with me and shows she cares for her fur-patients. I am so glad I found this place. And will continue to take my pets here even though this location is across town for me I dont mind it.

Welcoming, efficient front desk staff, caring vet, no pressure for expensive testing, and very reasonable (with free first exam: $37 for an injury evaluation, a nail trim, and a rabies vaccine). Very happy to have found them.

My pet got fleas over few hours being there. I expect a hospital to be a safer place for animals than this. It was the onlyyy place my pet visited over past year and now that in the middle of the night i find it hard to sleep from flea bites I remember well the woman who groomed my pet in this hospital and told me she doesnt have any fleas, well thanks to you all. Now she does.

Staff OK but the female DVM was testy. She was giving us bad health news, kept referring to our male dog as a she. I questioned the use of the incorrect pronoun for our male, it was downhill from there...probably wont use them again. Hey, I JUST wanted to know if were getting the right information for the right dog.

First visit we them , loved them. We walked in and were seen . My normal vet had no same day appt unless you drop off pet and then get called with Dx and treaatment recommend. I like to do face to face with vet with my pets are sick. Thank you guys for taking care of Bingo and Myles. A little pricey but thats ok my babies got seen and treated with me there.

My mom and I brought our dogs in together as walk-ins off the street. We were immediately accommodate d. The placecwas very clean, neat, and animal welcoming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was given an itemized break diwn of services before I had any work done and there was no pressure or guilt when I opted out of some expensive tests. It wasnt inexpensive but it wasnt outrageous. Dr Brown was very thorough and Leo our technician was really great.

Couple years back, my pitbull stopped eating for 14 days. went from 90 to 41 pounds. went to 3 different vets. blew $500. none of them helped. the main female vet there told me try pepsid ac on him. in 2 hours he pooped out a complete sock that had been blocking everything up. this woman saved his life. she has all my respect now...

Have the worst experience ever. I had went last week And they didnt want to work with me and prices were very extremely high. I Wanted to take my dog to get check because he was pooping blood instead they checking see he had worms they wanted to take X-ray because he could had swallow something. It was over almost $600 to get him X-ray. There was no way I could of afford that and I definitely took him to another vet in new braunfels was very affordable was $400 less cheater then here. And vet in new braunfels founded out he had worms. Definitely would not come here again.
