Dr. Ramsey was very thorough in his examination. When all results were known he showed true compassion, kindness, and empathy. He answered all of our questions and provided us with all of our options. Although we would have liked a different outcome the care and compassion we received made all the difference during this difficult time. All staff I interacted with were kind and while I dont remember all their names I wont soon forget their kindness. Ashley and Tiara were the two I remember the most. Compassion and thoroughness are top of mind but from beginning to end I had a great experience.

Had to bring our dog to the ER on a Monday morning after persistent diarrhea and bloody stool. Although the wait was long (nearly 4 hours), this was out of their control since one of the veterinarians called out sick. We had to wait for another doctor (Dr. Robinson) to arrive before we could be seen. The staff were friendly and all were wearing masks. The waiting room was very clean; some places you go to have dirty waiting rooms that smell like dog urine. Even when we went back later that night to pick up our dog, the waiting room was clean. Our doctor provided a thorough explanation of what could have been wrong and the treatment course for each diagnosis. They also explained the costs clearly. When the doctor called later that night they not only gave us a good update on his status, but also provided options to reduce the cost of care since he was responding so well to treatment. This was not needed, but still appreciated. Finally, it was very easy to get an electronic copy of the invoice and his treatment record so that we could forward them to our insurance company for the claim. And, this clinic gives a 10% military discount which is always appreciated. The only negative I would say is that I wish the staff had been deliberate about providing a status update on our dog in the evening. We left him at the clinic around 12:30pm and had not heard from the clinic by 6pm. We decided to call and get an update on his progress. This was easy and we got the information we wanted, it just would have been nice for the clinic to have done this proactively. However, I understand if they are busy it is difficult to do this for every client.Given the positive experience we had at Mission Vet, we would highly recommend this clinic to others for an ER visit.

Extremely impressed at how quickly my precious girl was seen and the care that was given to her. I am forever thankful for you all saving my Sophie and the patience and understanding given to me in my distraught state. They Saved my Sophie! We paid so much less than we anticipated. We paid a deposit which was the estimated amount of the care and ended up being refunded over half the amount, which was a huge relief!

Appreciated that pandemic precautions were taken in waiting room (ie, masks required) and in private consultation rooms. Although not used, liked that Mission Vet offered drive up service too. Allyson McBride & Dr. Witsberger were very thorough with Abbies assessment and steps moving forward, along with cost estimates. They spent a lot of time with us explaining situation & options and so appreciated that we didnt feel rushed. Most appreciated that they spent the time assessing & explaining Abbies situation with us and that we were able to ask all of our questions.

Our cat was attacked by a dog early one morning and when we brought her in she was seen within a half hour. We were given consistent updates on her treatment plan, cost (which can be very costly) and her general state (agitated but drank water etc). She went in at 5:40 am and had surgery by 12:30. I recommend Mission Vet to everyone I know for their professional staff and excellent communication with pet owners. We emailed the vet tech two days after coming home with our cat and they responded with a call that morning. I also appreciate the up front discussion of cost.

Gabe, vet tech, is an absolute golden asset to your practice as is the vet, Dr. Robinson who oversaw the care. Gabe is obviously in the right place in terms of his energies given to work for which he is perfectly suited. It is clear he loves animals. He demonstrated a beautiful demeanor of compassion, professionalism, and commitment to his work. A the end of our visit when Gabbi was being discharged, Gabe spent 10 minutes delivering comprehensive and thorough discharge instructions. Dr. Robinson (female vet, I think her name was Robinson - she is an LSU graduate) was wonderful. I know you all are very busy in your practice, but she demonstrated a sincere demeanor of actively listening like we were the only clients. The fee for service was also fair and competitive I believe. I had full confidence that Gabbi was being cared for compassionately, expertly, and lovingly.

Excellent service was provided by Dr. Mosley and his staff when our fur baby was injured. When we walked into the hospital, the office staff contacted their nurse team and one took our baby and the other stayed to make us feel better. The nurse kept returning to provide our family with updates on our fur baby. Dr. Mosley communicated every detail and provided us with recommendations. He was transparent with the cost and even encouraged us to get stitches removed by a vet and not the ER specialist. He also called us when our baby was out of surgery. He called us twice and made us feel better. We would highly recommend this hospital.

Made an appointment, drove 4 hours, and then I was taken back almost as soon as I arrived! That was wonderful! The tech was great, as was the Dr. He confirmed the diagnosis my vet had made and then greatly increased the medication. There was no suggestion of any additional tests or added expenses. I was very happy with that. Now on to the healing! Honoring the appointment time was wonderful, but ultimately having a Dr who explained things well and made time to answer my questions was the best.

Once the surgery was done, communication went downhill. The front desk staff stink! They are rude, slap you on hold while you are speaking and leave you there for 15-20 min at a time. They told me it was too busy to check on my dog after her surgery. There are Kind ways of telling people the office is slammed. They had attitude problems..all of them! It really made me re-think my decision on taking my dog there. Replace the front desk staff with compassionate people who love pets and their job. Most people are there for emergencies and are VERY emotional and worried. Treat them with respect and pretend you care!

Mission Vet helped us with meds and physical therapy instructions.Im happy to say Murphy has made a 95% recovery. Aside from a bit of wobble in his back legs, there is no indication that he was ever hurt. We are o glad that Mission Vet was able to help him and responded quickly so as to maintain his quality of life.Downside is the surgery was quite expensive, at $6,000. My cat, Rhiannon, was diagnosed with G.I. lymphoma, a very aggressive cancer, back in January of this year. I brought her to Mission oncology for her care. Unfortunately her cancer was too aggressive and her chances for survival werent high.Despite this grim prognosis, we started treatment, even resorting to a Hail Mary option when chemo failed, and just prayed for the best. Dr. Howard of Mission Oncology was incredible, supportive, and informative. She walked us through all our options and helped us decide the best route of treatment. The day I had to put Rhiannon down on March 27th, the staff at Mission were caring and supportive. She was at peace in the end, and they helped me give my cat that precious final gift of easing her suffering. A week later, I received Rhiannons ashes, pawprints, and fur, along with a condolence card from Mission signed by the doctors and staff. We elected to have a private cremation because it was at a reasonable price. As pet owners, the most difficult challenge is the knowledge that our beloved animal companions have shorter lives than we will, and there will inevitably come a day when we have to put them down. I miss Rhiannon more than words can say. She was with me through my entire adult life, at my side for nearly 14 years, and losing her was the hardest thing I have had to go through. Mission did all they could to save her, and this makes me feel that I did all I could to save her. And when there was nothing more we could do, the doctors and staff at Mission helped carry me through this devastating loss.

We have been seeing Dr. Ramsey for over two years for my dog’s breathing issues, after seeing many doctors who just didn’t know how to treat properly, and after years of trying different medications and treatments. On the first appointment Dr. Ramsey took the time to extensively explain to us her diagnosis and gave us treatment options, one of them being inhaler treatment which had never been explored before by the many vets we’d seen. He also trusted our primary vet’s tests and notes and he didn’t push for any more unnecessary tests. My dog has been on this treatment successfully for the last couple of years, having regular check ups and sometimes making medication adjustments. We are so happy to have been referred to Mission Vet specialty clinic by our primary vet. I do wish the regular follow appointments that sometimes take 15-20 mins were a little more affordable especially for us going more often, but it is nice to have that peace of mind of the 24 hr availability. I highly recommend Mission Vet for emergencies and pets’ more complicated conditions other vets sometimes don’t know how to treat.

Overall—Great, thorough care. However, this was minimized by the ever-present money talks business cloud that always hovered over my head. Its stressful enough having to see your pet sick— then you go through the unexpected hell of a hand held out in front of you. And, you have no choice but to pay up, because you really have no options, really, to pay out your bill. I HATED that part of the experience. Also, theres no way to comparatively study the bill, but it SEEMS like charges were either excessive and/or they were too expensive. But I cant prove that. Otherwise, Id give a 10 rating. And I cant give less than a 9 rating because its not fair to ALL of the people who cared for Mina. They were great. Saved Minas life

Then, we were told to sign in with the QR code...just tell us to sign in, what was the point of having us wait! Further, the same associate spoke to the trainee about not letting people ruin [her] vibe while working there. However another nurse literally dropped my poor baby and she hit her head hard on the ground as they were taking her away. It was very upsetting and shocking to witness after just saying goodbye. Then we were informed they were out of boxes to take her home in and asked if we were ok with her being put in a bag. I had to ask for neither and just a blanket. I understand it’s a tough time all around by I’m in shock about the end treatment

Being that this was our first visit there, we were very happy with the service we received from the staff and doctor. They made us feel that they really cared about our pet and the situation we were in. Especially the way Dr. Beach explained everything to us and took care of our pet.

My dog went to see Dr. Worth to have a mass removed from his side. I was extremely impressed by the level of communication we received throughout the entire process. The doctor was detailed and thorough in his assessment of my dog’s condition and the best path forward. He spent a good amount of time talking me through our options and answering all of my questions. I also heard from him several times on the day of the procedure as well as from the anesthesiologist and several vet techs. If you want to work with top notch specialty veterinarians and a clinic that understands how precious your pet is to you, Mission vet is the place to go.

Ridiculous excuse for emergency clinic. 3-4 hours to get dog seen when it appears pretty slow. Front office does poor job of explaining. Vets should know that family’s are anxious but no communication from the back.AVOID

I am extremely satisfied with my experience from start to finish. I didnt know what to expect, Ive never put one of my dogs through surgery before, so I was especially nervous about the process and how it works. I was impressed by how much contact the staff kept with me after I dropped my dog off. I was updated on what time they think theyll get him in, when he actually is going in, any potential concerns they see and how that changes their plan, how hes doing post-op. It put my nerves at ease having knowledge about all of these details as they were happening and I felt more comfortable with the entire process. Everyone was very considerate and kind. I needed an emergency vet a few months previous for a different dog, and now wish I would have brought her to you instead. Hopefully I wont need to, but I will be using you as my emergency or surgical vet in the future.

We were very impressed with Mission. Even though they were incredibly busy, they kept my dogs pain under control and made sure he got bathroom breaks while he waited. We had taken him to Nightwatch and were so horrified with the way they treated our dog and our family that we left there without full treatment. Mission took over care and our stress and fear for our fur baby was quickly reduced. And the bill was literally half as much as Nightwatch quoted for the same treatment! They Kept my pet comfortable during his wait and made us feel like you REALLY care.

Highly recommend Mission Vet from our experience there. The vets were knowledgeable and caring. They took wonderful care and communicated to us every step of the way. Our rescue pup Chico got great care and recovered from his illness. They even followed up a few weeks later to see how he was feeling !

Out of nowhere my 11 yr old boxer Buddy had a 20 second seizure last night in which he lost his urine and bowels. Could not walk either. Within 30 min we arrived at mission. They were quick to act, checked him out and gave us options. They kept it real while also being sympathetic. They said his heartbeat was off like an afib type thing and it could also possibly be other issues that are associated with breed (cancer, tumor..). They offered over night which would run $1200+ for some tests (oxygen, bloodwork, X-ray etc..) to find a deeper issue but in reality for what? Dr advised he may last weeks or if lucky a few months with a lot of $$$ put out. He was 11….. he wasn’t the same when I visited with him after initial diagnosis. He was now walking but he wasn’t my dog. As an owner you just know. We had an extremely tight bond. I did not want to see his demise and suffering to please my family and my selfish needs for a few months at best. He was loved and taken care of. Had a great life and had puppy spirit up to this point. Most active 11 yr old I ever seen. I saved him 9.5 yrs ago and he saved me. He’s now over that rainbow bridge and we are devastated. We will heal…I digress.. we decided to put him down. Hardest decision ever. Mission was very supportive snd remorseful. At the end of the day, it’s a business and they were very professional and for that I am grateful. RIP BUDDY :(

My dog was transferred from another vet to stay overnight and we didn’t have to wait long for a tech to come take her back. Paperwork was emailed so intake was seamless. The vet was great, keeping me updated through the night, even taking time to discuss nutrition. The next time there is an emergency I know where to go. Great place for your fur babies!!!

Very caring and professional. i had to take my cat there at 3AM. Even at that hour they had a very attentive staff who took my cat in right away. They were very busy so I had to wait a bit but they kept me updated throughout. The vet (Dr. Harrigan) spent as much time as I needed to answer questions and go through the follow-up treatment. regular and thorough communication on status, diagnosis and treatment

We rushed our furbaby to Mission Vet last night due to being bitten by another dog. Mission Vet brought him right in, took excellent care of him and kept us as worried parents well informed throughout the process. Thank you so much for your kindness and the care you showed to Tripp. He is now at home recovering ❤️‍🩹

Very very thankful for this group. We brought our dog to them in a life and death situation that required emergency, midnight surgery and they brought him through it. They communicated constantly throughout the process, even at 12:40 AM to tell us he made it through surgery.I see some complaints regarding cost and my simple rebuttal is that surgery and emergency medicine is not cheap and should not be cheap. If it were cheap, the 50/50 chance at life my dog had would have decreased to 10/100 chance. You pay for quality!Good work, MissionVet.

Service was great and timely. I appreciated how in depth the conversation was about my pet’s needs and diagnosis. I really appreciated how everything discussed in the conversation was typed up and emailed to me within the day, I found that very helpful. Broke down my pets diagnosis and medical plan in a way that was informative and made sense.

Dr. John Beach at MissionVet saw my small dog relatively quickly when I brought him in for bleeding under his eye. Despite there appearing to be many animals that needed attention, we were able to get Homeboy (my dog) evaluated and sent home with his prescribed medications within 2 hours. The evaluation, pain medication, and and antibiotic all ended up being around $160 which was pretty reasonable considering I didnt have an appointment. I also really appreciated the staff that took the time to carefully explain the medication instructions and let me know how much they loved Homeboys name. All of this was achieved while maintaining safe social distancing and general health safety during this pandemic. Really grateful for this office for taking walk ins while my usual emergency vet was closed due to COVID-19 possible contamination.

My cat was having some issues & when I called to make an appt w/ his primary care vet they recommended I take him to an emergency vet since their soonest appt was Friday and the symptoms were worrisome. The technician here at MissionVet helped me figure out that it was not anything life threatening and that he could wait for an appointment with his primary care vet for a complete diagnoses and treatment rather than waiting for hours at their location since they were pretty backed up with emergency cases at the moment.
