Tony is amazing!!I dropped of two pants to be fixed, two uniform shirts to have the patches transferred over to two different shirts and asked for one of the patches to have velcro. Considering how many alterations I needed to have done, he was able to complete all of it the following afternoon and at a decent, affordable price.Thank you Tony! I appreciate you.

Tony has always been so accommodating, fair, and quick. Hes tailored shirts, vests, jackets, jeans, suits, and even swim trunks (yes, swim trunks). I refer everyone to Tony because I know hell treat me well. Hes also pretty funny and has karaoke skills!

I procrastinated to buy a suit that I needed in less than 24 hours. The place I bought my suit said it would be about 2 weeks at the earliest... I bought the suit and searched for a tailor open. Keep in mind this was at 7pm and I needed the suit by 1pm the next day!I took it to Tony (who speaks very little english) and he was a little shocked by the short timing, but he said he would help me. His pricing is weird which you just have to accept it, but I was desperate so I just handed over the cash no questions. I went the next day at 1 pm fearing what I read on the reviews would be true but thank god they werent.He had my suit ready and I made it on time to my conference that was scheduled at 2. Overall great experience. Reviews are great, but are to be taken with a grain of salt. People who write reviews either have great or bad experiences. Most dont bother with them at all. People with bad experiences are more likely to tell others and/or write a review about it. The man is still in business for a reason. Thanks Tony!!!!

Needed sleeves shortened on a sports coat by Christmas Eve they were able to complete the job with 1 day notice

Ive gone there a few times over the last few years and never really had any complaints other than the dog stench and hoarding issue. But then again, I only had basic hems done. I recently took a very expensive, heavily beaded bridesmaid dress to get hemmed and it was just an awful experience. When I went to pick it up the first time, he cut both layers (material underneath and mesh layer of beads) but only sewed the bottom layer and not the mesh layer the beads were attached to. Beads were falling off and strings of thread were dangling everywhere. I took it back in tears and he assured me hed fix it. The dress was rolled in a ball to avoid losing any other beads.A week later (1 week before the wedding) I went back as promised only to have him tell me he accidentally forgot to work on my dress. It was still rolled in a ball - my $300 dress - on the counter! He kept telling me to go home and have sweet dreams and not to worry, hed work on it that night. When I went back the next day, mind you, my third trip there, it took everything I had to keep my composure.Although he did his best to fix it and gave me a partial refund, I am still disappointed. The front was cut shorter than the back, the cuts were all jagged and I had to pull dog hair off the dress. Mind you the countless tears and anxiety about the whole situation. Although the owner is very sweet, I will unfortunately never go there again.

He is really good at what he does, but he is very slow. If you are not in a rush and dont mind stopping by to make sure he get started, then he the perfect guy. Very cheap so, I dont complain. I have found that if he give me a day to pick up my clothes, I will go by 2 to 3 days before to make him start. He is not organized so he will have to look for your clothes. Again, if you are not in a hurry to get you clothes altered, than he is highly recommended because of his rate.

STAY AWAY, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I GOT SCAMMED!!! I read the reviews and ignored them! I wish I hadnt!!Dropped of my jacket Wednesday, he promised it Friday. Showed up Friday at he said he forgot. Very unprofessional. He asked if I could wait and it would take 15min. Fine, I waited. I sat in the shop while he went to the back. I heard him spraying and scrubbing something. Then I heard the dryer turn on. He was in and out after that, back and forth doing other things. I heard the dryer stop, a plastic bag and he came out with my jacket.... I walked to my truck and it had wet spots on it, had some weird perfume scent on the collar ... TOTAL RIPOFF!!!! SCAMMED!!! Im not a professional dry cleaner but I can be pretty sure they dont put stuff in the dryer or return them with wet spots with weird scents!!

Tony is the best. Went in at 10pm on a Saturday for alteration and he had me out by 10:30 ready to go. Top notch.

First off, forget all the other reviews, they are old and they are being nice because the man, Tony the owner, is generally in terms of his personality and spirit, a nice person. However the work done is abhorrent. Took in a jacket to have sleeves taken up. 30 bucks, he asked when to pick it up, I told him Ill get it in a week. Week goes by, I go to pick up, not ready, says hell get it in a few days. Go to pick up, buttons on sleeve are all crooked and cock-eyed. Offers to fix it, forget it! Do it right first time.

I had my wedding dress altered here. He came highly recommended from a work friend. I will say the alterations and bustle was waaayy cheap, I believe I paid 50 dollars total. I brought the dress in 1 week and 1 day before the wedding, paid him on the spot, and recieved my dress 3 days before my wedding beautifully done, without any issues. The place is a little messy but i had no problems.

Horrible ! Never in my life has a company told me they forgot to provide a service I paid for! My dress has been at this tailor for two weeks now. I was told one week and drove 35 min to pick up and it wasnt done. I was told it would be done in another week and called today and was told Id get a call back. Ive called twice in the last 8 hours and nothing , no word on my dress. So I have no idea if its lost or will even be done today. The owners hardly speak any English so thats makes it even worse! Dont bother coming here youll be sorry like I am!!!

I really want to give this place a better review because I like the owner, Tony. He got me out of a jam some years back so Ive shown him loyalty since. Hes open late and on the weekends which is rare. He does great work and will make changes for no cost if youre not satisfied. Hes the friendliest guy youll probably ever meet. That being said, he has rarely had my tailoring done on time. Ive tried calling before hand, but his English is horrible and even harder to understand over the phone. He apparently understands English well because he appears to understand everything I say to him. Recently I called and was told my tailoring was complete only to show up and the items hadnt been touched I showed up a second time to find the items still hadnt been worked on. I got upset with him and he laughed (although I think it was more of a nervous laugh) which made me angrier. To his credit, he will usually do the work then and there if its something simple, but then youve got to wait. I didnt have this problem the first couple years I went to Elite Tailoing. Ive noticed he has hires two eomployees since then, so one can assume hes gotten a lot more work, which might explain the issue. But, thats not my problem. The only reason I keep going back is because I like him and out of some sense of loyalty. Unless youre willing to deal with a guy that doesnt speak English well and probably wont have your stuff done on time Id go elsewhere. The three stars is a gift because he does do good work...when he does it.

I shouldve read the reviews first... the place is unorganized and smells like dog. Dust everywhere and the owner was always on his ipad. I dropped off slacks to be hemmed and was told theyd be ready in 2 days. I went around 10 and the store wasnt opened. After calling numerous times, I finally received a call back. I went a 3rd time to pick up my pants only to see that they had not been touched. Im incredibly furious and will not be returning.

I came in to get my dress hem taken up, they said come back Wed and it’ll be done. I came back Wed, and it took him a long time to locate it....not started, not done. Lots of excuses and promises, plus a discount, ok, not problem. I’ll come back Friday like they told me. I came back fri and it was still not done, lots of excuses, said he was the owner and would work on himself, it’ll be done in an hour. I drove to a different part of the parking lot to answer emails, and when I looked back, the owner was back to sitting outside on the patio furniture like he was when I drove up.Uhhhhh.......BAD FORM! ...looking for another tailor.

HORRIBLE!!! Stay away!!! NEVER has your alterations when agreed. Always has to rummage through two closets of clothes to hunt down your clothing. People often come in irritated and threatning to file a complaint with Leon Valley.When you call-Tony always responds with-I call you back; and he doesnt. Im befuddled how this place has remained in business given their current business practice. Dont pay in advance; seems like this business takes your money then moves on to the next wallet.Now I understand why customers have walked in and stated-Tony! I want my clothes now!! [While Tony is running around, utterly confused and NO clue if they are still behind the counter [where he put them when you left 2 months ago] or if they have actually altered them.

This place smelled really fishy when I walked in on a Tuesday morning. And the owner quoted me a different price in person than he did on the phone for a zipper replacement on a pair of slacks. Then when I asked when my pants would be ready, he said in 4 days and when I pushed back he said ok I can do 2 days. Needless to say I did not leave my pants there.

Like the owner Tony but its always a hit and miss. Most of the time the clothes are not ready when promised and have to go several times before items ready. Have to be on him consistently.Re-thinking whether to continue doing business with them. The anxiety is too much. Constant worry about clothes I left and afraid he will lose the clothes.

First off, the place is a hoarders dream; they have things piled upon other things, clothes placed in an unorganized disarray, it amazes me theyre able to find anything in there. Dont get me started about the dust.I took two shirts and two shorts to be taken in and I only got one shirt and two shorts back. HE COULDNT FIND MY OTHER SHIRT!!! He kept saying hed give me a call if he found it, but I finally got fed up and gave up on it.Their poor dog, Smaug, looks overweight, his nails need to be clipped and all hes allowed to do is sit near the front door. Id NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

This is by far the best tailor in San Antonio with the best prices. The tailor has made significant improvements to the organization of his business and has additional help to ensure the jobs are done in a timely manner.

My bf needed 2 pants altered the day before first day of work at 10pm at night and this man came through first had it done in 30mins. A little over priced but worth it.
