Highly recommend! Raquel did a phenomenal job altering my sister & my bridesmaids jumpers. When I received my jumper (from ordering online) I was very sad because it did not fit well. I brought my jumper over to Raquel hoping that she could help me. I was so surprised when Raquel quickly & confidently transformed my jumper into a perfect fitting ensemble. I felt so comfortable walking down the aisle to my little sisters wedding. I received many compliments on how wonderful my jumper was. I LOVE this place! I had a bridesmaid dress that was too small for me. My neighbor told me she could fix it up, no problem! Sure! When I got it back the day before the wedding it was butchered! I went to Retoucherie immediately and they came up with a solution and worked through the night to fix it! It was amazing! Anita, Rafael and their staff are the nicest people ever. They were so understanding when I had a complete meltdown in their store as well! I would recommend Retoucherie to anyone, for any job, BIG or small!THANKS AGAIN! RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! I cant speak to their work because the service was so bad I left before I dropped my item off. When we came in, the young woman who was in the store front turned around and said Yes? Carrying the dress in hand, I advised my daughter & I were there to get a quote on hemming & hopefully drop it off for pickup in a week. The employee immediately advised Rush is $10 more. (The outside of the door said most alterations were done in a week but neglected to mention this was for a rush fee, but ok, fine, I get it.) Regardless, I asked if we could get a total quote first- she sighed like she was irritated and said You need to show me the dress then... As I began to take the dress out of its sleeve, she pulled the bottom out partially and quoted me $45 for two layers. I pulled the bottom up to show her there were actually 4 layers just to be certain and before I even got my question out, she sighed so heavily I felt her breath across the desk. At that point I was done. There are way too many businesses that offer the same services for me to be treated like Im an annoyance. I wasnt trying to make friends, but I do expect to be treated with common respect and courtesy. You may not need me as a customer during busy prom season, but you will now miss out on future orders as well.I went directly across the street to a place called Lees and even though there was a bit of a language barrier, the woman there was so nice and knowledgeable. She had a full house the entire time we were being fitted, and still made sure to be professional and efficient. The customers there to pickup were all complimentary of their services and I was impressed. In addition, she OFFERED a 4 day turnaround with no rush fee! Retoucherie could learn a few things from Lees!

My experience with them was awesome. I ordered my bridesmaid dress a size too small and needed it altered within a week because I was going out of town. The guy at the front counter was very friendly and knowledgeable. The lady who fixed my dress was awesome she explained everything that was going to be done to my dress to me. When I went to pick up my dress it fit like a glove and the lady even sewed on some extra straps on the back so my bra wouldnt show. If I ever have to get anything altered again I am going here : )

These ladies do an excellent job and so quickly too!!! Not to mention they were so easy and nice to work with during the alterations of my wedding dress and the dress I am going to use for my Bridal Shower. After reading all of the positive reviews, I decided to take my wedding dress in for alterations. It has many many organza layers at the bottom. It was too long and I needed it shortened, bustled, and the straps shortened. She even showed me the different types of bustles and what they would look like in order to help me decide what I wanted. My dress turned out beautiful. I will be taking all my clothes here in the future for alterations. You wont be disappointed.

These ladies are the best. They provide high quality alterations, and can get you out of a bind if you are in a hurry. They do same day alterations for a small surcharge. Ive brought expensive dresses for full alterations and they turned out great. I Will always bring my clothes here!

The ladies here not only did an AMAZING job on my wedding dress from Davids Bridal but they were also able to do a very custom personal job for me. They were able to take my moms wedding dress and make my bouquet wrap and garter. They looked BEAUTIFUL and only had to use a sleeve of my moms wedding dress!

This alteration place is amazing. I took a Mexican poncho dress that fit me huge and literally looked like a night gown on me. I showed them a picture of what i wanted, and WA-LA, i picked it up one week later and it was perfect. It was completely fitted to my body, and even better than i imagined. I have also gotten scrub pants altered, and they a wonderful job on that as well. i would recommend this to anybody and everybody. Also very affordable.

No only are they friendly, honest and give you an incredible bargain for their work- they have impeccable quality and are eager to provide the highest standard to the customer. I had a formal dress tailored by them for under $30 compared to the over $100 quotes other tailors were giving me for the same work! My dress fit and looked amazing! Wish i could put more stars because this place was absolutely wonderful. Needed a jacket to be tailored and patched on super short notice and the turn around time was just absolutely amazing. Rather than a week turn around time like most places, it was literally 1 day. Originally supposed to wait 2 days which is a lot of pressure for the seamstress, but she even was kind enough to get it to me a day early and the jacket was literally perfect. Seriously, best place ever. You may not get the turn around time i got, but definitely believe theyll try their hardest for you if youre in a rush. On top of that, prices were crazy competitive. Youd be doing a smart decision to take your business to them.

This place is awesome! I had several emergencies where my dresses needed last minute BIG alterations. I went to a couple of other alterations places who simply said that the dresses were beyond alterations before my friend recommended the Retoucherie to me. The people who work there really care and they meet all the tight deadlines with an excellent quality work and very good prices! (Beleive me, I visited several places before I found them). I wanted to especially talk about Anna who was my lifesaver twice in the last 4 months where two very complex and challenging dresses had to be fixed in a few days time. Anna is very experienced dress maker and the quality of her work is simply outstanding! Anna and the stuff at the Retoucherie became my friends and its always a pleasure visiting them. I dropped off a 20 year old coat that needed the lining to be replaced including the pockets. They did a beautiful job. It looks and feels like a brand new coat. The people who work there were very nice. I will definately go back when I need other alterations. The price was reasonable too.

I had a wonderful experience! I bought a vintage dress that was labeled with my size. Well, when I got it home, there was no way that I would be able to wear it. It was just too small. I love this dress, so I thought that I would try taking it to an alteration shop. I looked on Google, and this shop had great reviews, so I decided to try them. I am so glad I did. The staff was great and immediately put me at ease. I felt that there was no way that this dress could be adjusted to fit me. These ladies are amazing and have amazing service. tailored my suit to my exact needs and were very patient with me. got the exact fit i wanted with no restraints and the suit made me feel like a new person. they will always have my business as long as im in this town.

The work here is okay, but my issue is with their customer service. I went in yesterday to get some sleeves taken in and paid for a rush job to have it today. The ticket read that itd be ready by 630p but the 6 was poorly written and looked like 130p instead, so I went in to pick it up. The lady upfront snatched the ticket from my hand, told me I was wrong (which is true but seriously, that 6 looked like a 1) and left it at that which I felt was kinda rude. So I left, showed up at 655p (5mins before they close), no greeting or anything she just walked straight back and FINISHED ironing my jacket. When she plainly handed it to me, I noticed the vent on the jacket was still strung together, I brought this up to her and she replied that they dont do that kind of stuff. Im sorry but I dont know any tailor that doesnt cut the vent open on a new jacket.Again, the work is okay. But customer service, at least from this girl, sucks. Im a freakin millennial, I really dont need stellar conversation or to feel special. However, she really took the effort to make me feel the complete opposite.

This guys are fantastic! I have gone here for a while for a few shirts and pants of mine, which they did a great job on, but I was really nervous bringing in my wedding gown. I needed it tailored a lot, including redesigning my entire neckline. They did a FANTASTIC job and got my dress back to me in no time. Being that I was a nervous, perfectionist bride didnt even bother them a bit. Poor guys! I even took it home and brought it back AGAIN for a small detail change and they did not charge me a dime. I HIGHLY recommend them to any budget conscious bride!!!

I moved here from Austin, and I didnt want to take my formal gown all the way into Austin. I took a dress that I had saved up to buy for my boyfriends grad school formal here because of how highly the store was reviewed. Ive got small shoulders and a small bust, so the straps and bodices of dresses typically fit a bit too loose and need to be altered.The seamstress was very brisk with me, pinched the straps up a little at the top, and expected to be done with me. She seemed disinterested in discussing other ways the dress could be altered to allow the bust to drape my form best/better. (for example, taking it in at a slightly different angle or ruching the sides of the straps slightly)When I got the dress back, it had been taken in slightly too much, at an angle that made the bust look both asymmetrical and a bit... silly, honestly. The neckline of the bodice was now too high, making the cut of the dress look odd. Most importantly, in taking in the straps of my dress, they had shortened the chemise layer beneath, which is now too short and constantly needs to be tugged down.When I picked up my dress, the seamstress did not encourage me to try it on before I took it home. I chose to try it on in the store anyways, and when I voiced some concerns with the alterations she shrugged them off as a sort of what did you expect?. No offer was made to fix anything.The price I was billed was admittedly very low, but I would have happily paid two or three times the price to get a dress that had been tailored to my satisfaction. Instead I paid $13 to have a $250 dress altered in a way that Im not sure I can have fixed and experienced neither attentiveness nor a display of particular craftsmanship or know-how. I would perhaps have the hems of my work slacks or jeans taken up here if I had need, but I would definitely not bring another formal dress here again. Im honestly a little crushed that this dress I looked forward to wearing so much has been altered so poorly.I picked up my dress a day before I fly out of the state for the event, and unfortunately theres little to be done for it but to be tugging at my dress all night and covering the slightly too tight and too loose bits of cloth with my hair.

Dont take a suit here. They did a extremely poor job. Workmanship was substandard and wouldnt return a phone call or even give a refund. The lady at the counter said I just work here. Beware of this place!

I need my dress for a presentation on last Friday and the commencement of my husband this Saturday but after giving birth to 2 kids, the dress doesnt fit me any more; it is smaller. I did some homework at google and I found Bridal Perfect Fit, which has a higher rating on google review. I was so eager that the the owner could help me because I really love and need the dress! I went there but I was disappointed. It seemed to me that the owner were not willing to help. What made me unhappy is her attitude, icy and indifference. She just took a look at my dress, I am sorry, I cannot help you then turned to another customer immediately, who came for her wedding dress. I understand that the design of the dress would make the alteration a very hard work and probably she cannot make much money from it so she turned me down. And maybe, tailoring a wedding dress was easier and profitable to her. Again, what annoyed me was her attitude. In addition, if you need to move/adjust the buttons on you clothes, she will charge you $2 for EACH SIDE! It is a bit over.Why I am so fussy on this? Because I got something totally different from Retoucherie de Manuela.I searched on google again and I found Retoucherie de Manuela. Before I went, I talked to myself, I would give up the dress if they said they cannot help. Mr. Rafael greeted me with a big smile and asked me to put on the dress. After that, Mr. Rafael said, I am sorry, We cannot help you because the original design of the dress didnt leave a room for us to alter it. I sighed, totally frustrated, and was about to give up and left. One of the lady there talked to Mr. Rafael and they discussed for a little bit then Mr. Rafael said, the lady can help as long as I can find a similar fabric to add on the dress, by which to make the dress bigger. On hearing this, you can image that how excited I was. Mr. Rafael suggested me to take a chance at Hancock and he also showed how to get there. I finally found one in Hobby Lobby.I brought the fabric to Mr. Rafael and they just managed to add it on the side of my dress, which made the dress bigger and really fit me! You just cannot tell that the dress was altered! The total cost for the alteration, including the fabric ($2.99) was $20. In addition, they helped to move/adjust THREE buttons (six sides) on my another dress and only charged me for $1! Plus, dealing with them is a nice thing; they smile and talked to you happily.Thank you, Mr. Rafael. You and your members save my life.

I went here to have my polo fitted, I am extremely slim so I had to have it taken in a lot. They perfect body form fitted the sides, and the right arm is perfect too, I just realized how the left is slightly loose, but I will swing by when I get back in san antonio, and pretty sure they will take care of it. Amazing business, treats you like family, highly recommended!

I got totally played here, I was way overcharged and it wasnt worth it, i called the next business day and asked if I could go pick up my stuff and get my money back they said they dont give refunds, What kind of business cant give you a refund? I was forced to pay the ridiculous amount and now Im never going back there.

I recenty got two suits tailored for my wedding weekend, rehearsal dinner and the suit for the wedding and she did an amazing job. Hard to get slim fit suits that fit my form because I have to buy a larger jacket to fit my shoulders but they were able to make eveything fit PERFECT. I will be taking a couple more suits in.

I had some alterations that needed to be done on my bridesmaid dress. The wedding I was in was less than a week away. I am usually nervous about leaving my clothes at alteration shops but the staff at Retoucherie assured me that it would get done and also guranteed their work. I went to try it on a couple of days after I had dropped it off and it fit perfectly! The seamstress even noticed some bunching in the back of the skirt that I didnt even notice and she had me take it off and fixed it right then and there. They really care about their work and want you to be happy! They went above and beyond and I was so absolutely happy with the results! I will without a doubt be using them again for all my alteration needs.

They did the fitting of my wedding dress and it could not of fit me more perfectly. They were so nice and had my dress completely done so fast.

Dont do it! They dont know how to do original hem. My jeans came back like a 2 year old sewed it on. The hem was sewn on at least two inches inside which showed on the outside when washed, and the actual stitching was sewn crooked, like a 2 year old. Very disappointed.

Got my pants hemmed at this place. Three months later the stitches came out on the bottom of one pant leg. I took them back and paid for them to get re-stitched. It’s been a month and my pant leg stitching came apart again.
