Im sitting in my car now while watching them diagnose and fix my slow tire leak. I notice the speed and teamwork that these guys/girls have, its nice to see. I feel like Im getting a thorough job that is being cross checked by other teammates. I can never say enough good things about this company. This was my first visit to this location after moving to a new part of town. Everything was flawless. I ordered my tires online, booked my appointment and paid in advance. The service I received was exactly what I expected. Sitting in the lobby I had a chance to witness those that experienced recent tire failure. As busy as this location was on a Saturday afternoon, everyone was treated professionally and fairly. I have the utmost respect for all who work for this company and at this location. Mike the assistant manager with discount helped me from the moment I called to get my new tires put on. He helped make my experience amazing. They were able to fit me ASAP. The service provided was great & fast! I needed other services that were noticed by the techs and Mike was able to refer me to a place that would help me with that other issue. My Tpm sensor came on as I was driving by so I stopped by. They checked all 4 tires, filled with air for free, and hooked me up with 4 new tires far below some of the other places I went. Definitely a forever customer.

My daughter Stephanie came home yesterday, December 11th crying stating that she could not afford new wheels for her 2014 Toyota Corolla? I was at first dumbfounded and did not know what she was referring to. I asked her to calm down and comforted her by giving her a fatherly hug. She explained that she had seen a piece of rubber protruding on a couple of her new tires that she had replaced a few weeks ago at the advice of a local Discount Tire store (20690 US Hwy 281 San Antonio Texas 78258). This is just a new tire tab that all tires have when new but she had no clue.An advisor at the store (Cade Gregory) informed her that this was not an issue but her wheels would definitely cause tire damage. I have included photos of the wheel curb rash and missing center cap. This individual stated that all her wheels had this serious damage and would surely damage her new tires and have a blow out if not replaced. Mr. Gregory also stated that the missing center cap was a dangerous issue as well and would also cause damage to the tire, so she was quoted a $500.13 fee to replace all wheels.I calmed my daughter after a few minutes and looked at the wheels and missing center cap. As evident from the photos there is very minor curb rash as I call it and yes a center wheel cap is missing but not an issue to the tire integrity, the wheels are intact ,not cracked or bent. In fact nothing present would have cause to damage a tire. I immediately called the store and asked for a manager on site.In the 70s I remember this practice being used and targeted women who were thought to be easy prey, to my dismay I am saddened that this is still being taught or enforced by major businesses. My daughter is a single struggling mother of two and she did not deserve this today. I informed Kevin that I was dismayed at this practice and tactic still being used today by Discount Tire.I have been a loyal Discount Tire customer for over 12 years and equipped my 5 former BMWs with tires from here.I went to Discount Tire on Monday Dec.14th and asked to speak with Kevin (Manager) and Cade. I identified myself to both men and Cade commented that if this was in reference to the white Corolla to which I said Yes. After this Kevin is the one who continued to explain what had happened and never let Cade explain his actions and or what he identified to my daughter. I looked at Cade and told him in the future to choose his verb-age and not use these Scare Tactics. Kevin continued his feeble explanation in saying that the concern was my daughters right front tire with the damage and if Cade would have suggested to replace only one wheel and the others did not match then this would have upset me. Kevin continued stating that this damage would cause rust and further damage (the wheels are aluminum, so this only succeeded to dismiss his knowledge of wheels and profession). My daughter replaced two tires approximately 2 months ago here at this location so the salesmen/tire installer did not see anything wrong with the curb rash as evident in the photos so what does this tell me? Either those individuals are incompetent or knew what I know and that is that the integrity of the wheels (not bent or cracked) is not compromising the tire or the safety of the owner.So at this point Kevin stated that he was not arguing with me at which point I stated that I was not arguing just pointing out that these wheels are safe and Cades Scare Tactics to make a sale and take advantage of a woman consumer was my reason for being here this morning. Six years later, Discount Tire fails to win me back.Six years ago, I visited discount tire and had a terrible experience.Due to Discount Tires popularity, I decided to give them a second chance.My tire had a leak so I decided to bring it to Discount Tire to patch it up. Before going to Discount Tire, I anticipated that the employees would try to pressure me into buying a tire instead of actually patching up the leak. Tim gave me a call to let me know that my tire could not be patched and tried to sell me on a replacement tire. I declined to replace the tire at the moment due to my current budget. Tim explained that he could not put the tire back on the car due to liability purposes.When I arrive to pick up my car, one of the team member explained that they put my tire in the trunk. I open the trunk to simply find the rim without my tire. I speak to the manager and ask him to put the tire back on. At first, Tim refused to put the tire back on the rim claiming it is a safety hazard. Unhappy, I insist that he put the tire back on my rim since I did not bring in my car to the shop like this. After threatening to call customer service, Tom finally budged and put the tire back on the rim. Before leaving, Tim tried to upsell me to purchase a replacement tire. I declined since I wanted to think over my options.When I arrived home, I examined the tire and rim and find out that Tim did not put the air back in my tire. In addition, the valve stem was not secured in the valve. I am extremely unhappy by how I was treated and how my property was treated. Now I have to pay a different tire shop to air up my tire and put it back on my car. I feel that Discount Tire is more worried about selling you a product than having a happy customer. Last time I went to Discount Tire, it was also a similar experience. Due to this incident, I will likely never return to Discount Tire.

I would NOT Recommend this store. I arrived at 2:00pm and was told it would be a 2 hour wait at the most. I have now been waiting for 3 hours and was told there were 8 people ahead of me. All this because there was a nail in my tire...I have the warranty so it makes no sense to go somewhere else...it should not take longer to fix a tire than to buy a set of tires. This is terrible customer service. NEVER AGAIN.....

I had a 10:00 appointment today to replace my tires. I arrived on time, checked in, and was told I would be out of there by 11:05. After 45 minutes, they still hadnt rolled my truck into a bay so I asked an employee if theyd forgotten about me and that I had already checked in and paid for my 10:00 appointment. He informed me that my truck would be next. I sat then sat outside and watched no less than three other vehicles roll in ahead of me and it was now past 11:00. It took another HOUR AND A HALF before I was finally out of there. 10:00a appointment. Left at almost 12:30p. This was entirely unacceptable. Barring an attempt from this location to rectify the situation I am unlikely to return or recommend anyone sit so long to throw four tires on a truck. This would be a one-star review but I kept it to two since they were able to schedule my appointment and order the exact tires I wanted in under 24 hours.

Our son got a flat at 6:30pm and of course he didn’t have a spare. We stopped at this location and although they were closing, Gabriel said it’s an emergency and they would gladly help us. 😃15 minutes later we have a tire for son. These guys are awesome.

Always buy the warranty for the tires when I buy a new car! Theyll warranty and service the tires just like you bought them at discount tire. When I buy replacement tires, this is the first place I check and I usually cant beat the price for name brand tires. They also sell factory mag wheels that are fixed as good as new. I bent an eom mag wheel and got a new wheel here for a third of the dealer cost.

New set of tires! Amazing. I went online and bought a new set of tires for my SUV and had set a 10 AM appointment. I pulled up and my car was approached as they were waiting for me and was asked to pull into a bay. 15 minutes later, I was handed my keys with a huge smile and a thank you and was on my way. I have never had auto service knocked out as cleanly as easily and as efficient as I did with these new tires and will always bring my business back to discount tire.

They were super busy but all of the young men were courteous. I have always had good service there.

Every time Ive been to this store, the staff have been very friendly. This time I took my car to have the wheels balanced. After having Costco try to balance my wheels twice and still having a wobble (they claimed the vibration was a wheel bearing even though the vibration followed the wheel) this Discount Tire balanced my wheels perfectly and the vibration is gone! They even replaced a small hub cap that Id been missing for a while. Will definitely be giving them my business in the future.

I was told they don’t have the Alan wrench to remove my rim cap and to go to Home Depot (which is right behind their store) and go buy my own for them to fix my tire and to reschedule my appt. absolutely ridiculous to have to wait an hour to be told they don’t have the proper tools. I am a long time customer of discount tire.... normally go to bitters location and never have this problem.

Dropped $1700.00 to them their worker Antonio broke my tail gate lock and bent my key. He had it stuck in the lock from brute forcing it to the left. Its worked perfectly fine including that morning. Now they have my old wheels because I cant get them in my truck. DT insurance company are paying for a $300+ bill for Locksmith to replace key, replace the backup cam and tailgate handle lock assymbly. Mike the manager was very apologizetic BUT, READ ON. Employeee Antonio not so much but did fess up to his error. My new wheels and tires had mounting grease all over them. Why would they not clean them after mounting when we drop that much dough there? Not happy about that. Mike told me how to clean them, but why should I have to do that for them? Especially after they broke my LOCK, LOCKED. ME OUT OF MY BED! Plus I have a cover over bed so I cant get in it for weeks and several hours more my time to get fixed! Not happy customer. They still have my other order (2 extra center caps) and never called for me to pickup and pay. Best to stay clear. They seem to have enough business.

If I could give negative stars I would. These people are nothing but crooks. The minute you get there, they start checking tires that youre not there for. They look for any excuse to get you on the hook for another tire. Everytime you go there, its a 50/50 chance theyll rob you.

Im completely satisfied with the new tires purchased at Evans and 281 location, feeling safe back on the road again. Cabe and Tim recommended the right set of tires for my SUV. They are the experts on tires and provided great service. I highly recommend and will refer friends and family!

I just love the fact they repair your cars tire for free and with great professionalism! Had a great experience. Considering it was at the end of the day, it took about an hour.

They did a great job price matching my Toyo Open Country AT 2’s! Even matched the labor installation price as well. Only minor thing I didn’t like is that they lost my silver caps and put rubber ones on, until I told them that they were missing. They did however replace the caps with chrome ones that I had on.

So I just wanted to give you guys a shout out. Amazing group of young men working at the 281N location. Great service, great attitude, and great products. I don’t go anywhere else. Thank you for all your hard work!

My tires on my new Nissan were a little low. I went down the street to Discount Tire since it was closeby. I waited 20 minutes in line for a tire check & air. This was the first time needing any type of service on my car. Apparently air was put in, but 2 of my valve caps were not returned and now I immediately have one very low tire. I literally go nowhere (I live where I work), so this is suspect to me. Not returning again.

Dealing with them is like dealing with tech support on the phone. They have a script they follow every time you visit....a sales script. I guess it generates sales, but its very annoying. Expect to wait with or without an appointment. Tire warranty is an extra (unlike Costco) 17.50 or so per tire. While I was there, the manager was passive-aggressive with with a customer who wasnt happy.

My experience was bad customer service. Came in with a tire with a nail. Guy said it will take two hours. I called after 2 hours and they said working on it. No one called me. I went back to the store at the 3hours plus mark. The guy at the computer said he would check. Didnt get back with me for 15 minutes. Asked another guy. Finally looked at it and said I need new tire. Maybe so, but with the very poor customer service that made me feel like I didnt exist, im not buying a new rire there. 3 and a half hours and nothing fixed. Big waste of time.

With covid going on - if I come in to make a purchase...I would like to make my purchase upon arrival. I can return later to get the tires put on.It’s unacceptable for me to wait to be assisted.I also didn’t want to highest priced of the brand I wanted. I’d rather be offered to look at other local stores for the tires I want.I expect better service.

Best customer service of any vehicle related shop, full stop. Assistant Manager Johnathan was second to none. Was on a time crunch and he worked with us and had new wheels and tires there in 4 hours. Put them on first thing the next morning and we were on our way by 0930.Also discovered two issues with my vehicle that neither Beldens Automotive nor the dealership found when I took it in to have them look at it. Overwhelming thumbs up. 10/10. 5/5 stars. They have a customer for life.

Twice they tried to balance my Tires saying, yep all good now thank you .I ask the kid what they did ,and he told me flat and balance .This was countered with only a balance smoother kid lied aloud.Took it back again finding the air sensor flopping around inside .Thinking this may just a bad kid nor caring. I asked again today what the guy did he a balance . still makes a sound . I wander if they even bothered checking the Tires

Im traveling thru San Antonio and this is the only discount with trailer tires to replace a blowout I had, Ive been here 2 hours and they havent touched my trailer yet and said it will be another hour while they have stalls open and people standing around. I understand I didnt have a appointment yet they should be more helpful than this. It sucks to see so many people come in and out and get their vehicles taken care of before yours.

Went over pricing and approved a tire. My truck spent 20 in the shop as they looked for the leak. Only to tell me it’s not repairable and needs replacement! I have more experience than most in there! I knew it and told you! Why waste my time to find out is frustrating. Definitely will not be back

Rolled in with a flat tire. Bought 4 new tires at another Discount tire aprox a month ago. One just blew out as I was driving down Evans. I definitely recommend getting the tires that can you drive on flat for up to 50mi. It made all the difference. I have insurance but had to pay the difference on a more expensive tire. They said my tire was out of stock and had to buy up. I should have asked if they had one below my original. But thats my fault. Live and learn. I was in and out with my new tire mounted in 30mins. Super fast, super friendly. Juan handled my order. He was very professional and empathetic to my situation. We were literally on our way to an important appointment. We got there in time thanks to them. I greatly appreciate the time and great service I received. Great job everyone!!

My experiences with Discount Tire have always been very pleasant. All four of our vehicles have tires purchased at Discount Tires. Their road hazard insurance is a must. You get free tire rotation and balancing, free flat repair, free air pressure checks and free tire replacement, if you tear one up. This is the best tire outlet, in my opinion.

Went in without an appointment and they fit me in within 30 minutes. Had tire with low pressure light on. 2nd time. They found piece of metal in the tire. Repaired tire at no charge and sent me on my way. Friendly, responsive and very professional. I will always go to Discount Tire when I need new tires or repair.

Great customer service, fair prices, and quality product. Coffee and cold bottled water for those customers choosing to wait. Free rotation and flat repairs on tires purchased there. My go-to for all tire issues!!

I got here at 1:00 and they told me my car would be ready by 3:15. It is now 4:18 and they have yet to start on my car. I have gone in twice to talk to them and they have done nothing.

As always, great service--kind of slow, but it is understandable with the pandemic taken the toll on all businesses.

My tire light kept coming on. I had taken my car to the dealership but they didnt find anything. I went here for a air pressure check and top off and they found the nail buried in my tire, which is what was setting off my sensor. They were able to fix and save the tire for FREE. You cant beat their service and prices.

I have been a loyal customer to discount tire for over a decade. I went in for new tires and when I received my vehicle back, all 4 of my rims were completely chewed up. The tech that handled my vehicle was a young lady. I assume she used some tool to try and pry the tires off. I am now out approx $2400 for 4 Volvo rims and the only recourse the manager( Kevin Robinson) could offer was either buying another set of rims from them at half price, or filing a claim. Please beware and take photos of your vehicle before you hand over they keys. Good luck.

My car told me that I had low pressure on one tire, so I took it to Discount Tire as soon as I could, going through their free tire pressure check station. The end result was that I had a nail in the tire, so I waited for them to fix the tire. I was pleasantly surprised an hour later when they had the repair done, and didnt charge me. Wow! I guess Ill keep going back there.
