This is a very professional and well organized business. They will repair your car at a fair price. They will answer the phone 95% of the time. The other 5% of the time they will quickly return your call.

Dee’s automotive is real deal! They are very nice, honest, reliable, and all in all provide EXCELLENT 5 star service! I was so impressed. Honest is not always an adjective you use to describe an automotive garage. But that is just one that you keep hearing and now I know why. Dave is one of the nicest honest guys you will meet. Dees is the best auto shop. Theyre really prompt with service and prices are reasonable. I was having a significant repair being done on my car and they noticed the sparkplugs were more accessible during that repair so they offered to replace them without charging labor. Really honest and kind people.

This place is amazing. David and his crew did a head gasket repair on my Subaru, they did an awesome job and have helped me with any problem I have had with my car since. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Heater was working intermittently and a friend recommended Dees. They told me the temperature blend door actuator was broken. Charged me $585 to fix it. Problem remained. They insisted that the repair they performed was absolutely needed and there there must be another problem as well. Hmmm. They told me to leave the car with them and theyd drive it to and from work until the heat didnt work again so they could better diagnose what the additional problem was. I called a couple weeks later: We havent been able to make the problem come back. After a month, I gave up and went to pick it up. When I showed up they went to the lot to get it and the guy immediately came back for a portable battery starter, meaning the battery was dead, meaning it had not been started or quite some time. He finally brought the car around and one of the front tires, which had a very slow leak, was flat. Meaning the car hadnt been driven in quite some time. He then the owners son said Once you get it figured out, bring it back and well fix it for you Wha??? Took it to the Toyota dealership and they immediately discovered that the problem was that the coolant was low. Diagnostics 101, really. That cost me another $230. So, to sum up: If I took $585 and burned it in my backyard and then flushed the ashes down my toilet, I would have come out exactly the same way, but without the great frustration of dealing with these guys. Judging by the other reviews, maybe they just suck at Priuss and are really great with everything else, I dont know. In any case, dont bring your Prius here.

Always take all my cars to Dees. Dee and his son David are very proficient. Very practical about what needs to be fixed on my car. Prices are very reasonable and they always call with an estimate. Ive always had great experiences here even when I had to get some gears replaced on my RAV4. They have technical expertise for most all car repairs and maintenance. You know youre getting the best deal at Dees and you can usually choose what level of repair you want if you want then to go all out or just fix whats broken. They wont try to trick you into anything. Very honest and straightforward which is why I keep going back for my auto work.

Ive taken various cars to Dees Automotive over the years and have had a great experience every single time. There has been more than one occasion where the repair wasnt worth it for the car and I end up with a small to no charge for the diagnostic.Mechanics typically have a knowledge edge over the average consumer that they could take advantage of...this isnt an issue with Dees Automotive as they are extremely honest.I would have no issue having my daughter take her car in, ask for a repair and complete the transaction without my involvement.Dave, and all of the other employees that I have dealt with, are courteous and are willing to take the time to explain the cause and resolution of the repairs made.

Highly Recommended! When I took my car to the Dees Automotive, I didnt know whats wrong and I couldnt explain well. They took time to check everything and explained me what needs to be fixed. They never take advantage on consumer who is clueless like me. They are very very honest people. It is hard to find a quality, hardworking, and honest mechanic like them.

Hes respectful, timely, smart, and refuses to up-charge or do excessive diagnostics and unnecessary fixes. A friend referred me here 3 years ago, and I refuse to go anywhere else.

We love this place. Found them about 10 years ago after several experiences with other dishonest auto shops. The folks at Dees Automotive have shocked us with their honesty, integrity and good quality work. The transmission in one of our cars went out in Vegas a year ago. After getting a couple quotes in Vegas, we ended up having our car shipped to Dees Automotive in SLC and even after the shipping costs, Dees still saved us $750 on the cost of the transmission. We love Dees. Theyre amazing.

You will not find a more honest mechanic. Dees Automotive shines with integrity. They arent in this business to make a quick buck. For their mechanic to call us and say, you dont need to replace the tie rods. They are just fine and you would be wasting money when there is nothing wrong with them. Ill replace them if you want, but youll be throwing away a lot of money.Hundreds of dollars they saved us. A lot of places would have replaced them and called us suckers. Not Dees.

Wow! I didnt realize how much money Ive been losing until I came here. These guys are great, high quality service and honest. Just recently, a mechanic told me my o2 sensor was bad and quoted me 300 to replace it. I live in Provo, but drove to Dees because of the quality of their work. Not only did they quote me a much lower price to fix my o2 sensor, they diagnosed it and found out my o2 sensor wasnt even bad, and I ended up paying less than half of what I was gonna pay in the beginning, and was also able to get the REAL problem fixed. Dees could have easily replaced my o2 sensor and took more money, but they wanted to do honest work, as always! These guys are awesome and highly recommended!

Be very wary of bringing your broken down car here. My boyfriend just recently had his car towed here to be repaired and everything - CDs (yes, we still use CDs; its a 2004), chargers, a couple old phones - was stolen out of the front seat. Rather than receiving any sympathy or effort to make things right, my boyfriend was just simply told, Yeah, that happens. Its frustrating enough to have a broken down car in the first place, but then to have your personal belongings stolen while the car should be on the shops watch truly sucks.On the whole, our entire experience with this place was frustrating. When my boyfriend asked them for an estimate of what it was going to cost to make the necessary repairs, he was told, We cant know that until we start working on it so my boyfriend asked them if they could call him as soon as they found out what they would need to do and to give him an estimate. The next call he received was to tell him that the car was fixed and that he could come pick it up. I have never had that happen at any other shop Ive taken a car to. Ive always been called ahead of time and the costs were clearly communicated before any work was done to the car.We will never be bringing a vehicle here again.

Hands down thee best in Utah!!Our car belt was loose and came off while driving home around midnight on a Friday. Totally not prepared for this. Our belt had been damaged and our car steering couldnt maneuver (was told this afterwards). It was late so we got a hotel and looked up mechanics in the area and asked for their help early the next morning. Most mechanics in the same area as (Dees Auto) offered us price quotes up to $800, some said they cant take us til Monday, other places never called us back. After many attempts, we grew discouraged. We noticed the 5 stars next to Dees Auto on yelp, but their business hours (close early on Saturdays) had us worried, we called anyway. Spoke to Dave (owner) and he told us they had zero spots open but get our car to their shop right away to take a look at it. We had our car towed to their shop and it was TRULY A BLESSING for us!! Dave and his crew stayed behind (after business hrs) replaced our belt and charged us less than half of what all the other mechanics said. *tears of joy* we didn’t think we’d make it home (Utah County) that day but we did! 😁We were extremely satisfied with our experience that we took our 2nd car to get looked at. The engine light kept popping up (because it’s a old timer 2006 gmc) and we were told so many different things from mechanics in Salt Lake and Orem. Some places charged us for having them look at our car (didn’t get anything fixed). A couple places told us get a new engine, others told us they’ll have to repair more than the engine and it will cost $400 to $1000 in repair parts and labor. We took it to Dee’s and they found the problem. It was minor and it cost us less than $100. Finally, a Mechanic shop we can trust!!! These guys are honest, hard working people!!

Update 4 years later:After servicing my car for the rest of its life the car died back home in SLC. Dees didnt charge me the check it, store it until I sold it, nor for checking out the new car I ended up buying. They also did a transmission flush for my girlfriends car for less than half of another local shop she got the quote from. (And, when she called to ask the price David asked the mileage to make sure she even needed the work. Changed cars four times now, never changed the mechanic. The complaint (I guess?) is that they only use new parts, so it might get a bit expensive. But you get lifetime warranty on these parts. Idk what Im complaining about.
