Ive used little garage three times now, and can confidently say that they have provided the best service of any shop Ive been to. They are excellent with their communication, organized, and produce very high quality work. Ive spent roughly $3,000 there over the last few years, and everything they have fixed has worked with no issues. They are also straightforward with what you should fix, and why, without upselling you on things that are unnecessary.

Great service. Got two oil leaks and an a/c repair that was pretty pricey because it was a large order, but then I had to come back 3 weeks later for a broken fuel injector and they gave me a great discount due to my recent business with them. They dont try to squeeze you for any unnecessary repairs and seem very honest.

This is a great garage! Had the car checked over and tuned up before a long trip, and the car worked like a charm the entire way. Very good and friendly service. Also had to bring the car in unexpectedly at one point to have window mechanism replaced; they were able to complete the job very quickly and get the car back to me the same day so that I could keep appointments the next day.

The team at The Little Garage are always fast and friendly. I have a couple of older Hondas and they keep me posted on the things that are coming up that will need attention and help me prioritize what should be taken care of next. Good work but crazy prices and substandard customer service. Im not paying $180 for an inspection when I already know the exact part I want replaced.I understand wanting to look at the car before giving a full quote, but being unable to even give me a price for a specific part plus labor without paying nearly $200 in advance is just ridiculous.Also, they accidentally messed up my radio. Go somewhere else for your mechanic needs 👍

I have used them for the last 18 years. They have worked in 5 different vehicles of mine and have always been able to fix my problems. They are great at finding potential issues before they become real problems and they are willing to help you prioritize when you fix what, in order to stay within your budget while making sure the car is safe.

This family owned business is amazing! The customer service is top notch just as their mechanical work. They are low pressure and super modern with they way they share maintenance needs.When I took my first car to them I was struggling financially and was getting the minimum amount of work needed to keep a car going and pass emissions. They noticed a tail light fixture sitting in the back seat and called and asked if I wanted it put in. I told them I could do it as I needed to save money. They offered to do it for free as a part of the other minor service I was getting done.I finally have an honorable and reliable mechanic to go to. I absolutely refer all of of my friends and family to this place. You guys have a customer for life.

I have waited a few weeks for this review. I want to get it right.I am handicapped and I notified the shop. Explained that I am on oxygen and I have limited time from home.I needed to replace the idle control module. They said they understood and we scheduled a time for me to come in. I go in and I am sitting by the shop window next to where they were working on my car. I watch them for about an hour while they took my tires off measuring my break pads as well as many other inspections and pictures. After an hour and they hadnt even started on my car because they were doing a complete car evaluation. I didnt want that. I needed my module replaced and that was all. Anything else is Unauthorized work. So I was getting low on oxygen and they hadnt started yet so I told them to just give me my car. I had an appointment with my surgeon.Well the oldest gentleman who seemed in charge went and told them to put my car together and he pushed my keys aggressively to me and said next time be prepared to leave it for at least 2 hours.No one must of told him that I drove there explaining why I couldnt do that and they said no problems. A couple of days before.And while I was there the same gentleman told a person who came in that if he wanted to wait for his car take it to pep boys or somewhere, loud enough for me to hear.Bottom line, if you want a complete car evaluation and you can leave your car and you dont mind rudeness this might be the place for you. But they accidentally emailed me someone elses work order for their truck. I am a handicapped mechanic but I can still look up parts. And they wanted to charge that customer $369.00 for parts of the same quality that rock auto sold for $79.00. That is over a 400% mark up.Let alone doing Unauthorized work.Thankfully they didnt charge me or this would be even longer. Good luck.

I have only had good experiences at this shop. I had a jeep that had check engine lights appear almost every other month even after taking it to other car repair shops. After taking my jeep to Little Garage after a recommendation from 3rd Ave Car Clinic (great little shop), Little Garage diagnosed and fixed my problem and I have not seen the light come on since. I will happily use Little Garage for any future car issues I may have.

Got me in right away, diagnosed the problems on my later model, but trusty Subaru. Sent me pictures. Fixed everything quickly at the quoted price. It’s a pleasure to work with The Little Garage!

You get what you pay for. Staff are highly trained on a regular basis. If your vehicle is 1960 or 2020, they do it right the first time. Their diagnostics are accurate. They are one of the three best shops in the valley. Truly, mechanics you can trust with your family’s driving safety.

I was having some electrical problems in my 4runner that were beyond my ability to diagnose and repair. I was referred to the Little Garage by several mechanics while I was calling around.Mark diagnosed and repaired my 4runner. He communicated with me the expected time, as well as additional time he thought he would need beyond that very well and in a professional manner. He also found a used replacement BCM for me for a reasonable price.I am satisfied and happy with my experience here and will be recommending them to my family and friends.

After a 10 hour trip from Washington State, we rolled into Salt Lake City with a completely wiped out air conditioning system. On the recommendation of our son, we took the car to Little Garage to get it fixed before our return trip the following Tuesday. The guys at Little Garage were very thorough diagnosing the problem, and provided us with a detailed online report before tearing into the car for repair. What we got back was a car with a factory fresh air conditioner that kept us cool the entire way home. The service was impeccable, and we’d recommend Little Garage to anyone needing repair work on their car.

Be prepared for the diagnostic fee they may or may not tell you about. Spoiler alert: they 100% did not mention the $180 diagnostic fee. On recommendation I went to this shop because I wanted a specific part on my vehicle diagnosed. I asked on the phone and again in person, can you give me a rough estimate on about how much this will cost? Both times the answer was, well have to take a look at the vehicle first and then discuss the cost of repairs...sounds reasonable enough. Apparently that doesnt serve as a reasonable point to disclose the tiny detail that there is a $180 diagnostic fee. I understand people need to be paid for their time. I am absolutely more than happy to pay any mechanic for their good, honest work but I never asked for this service and if I was told at any point I would be facing a $180 fee for a service I DIDNT NEED and DIDNT ASK FOR I would have said no thanks! This is a totally MISLEADING and quite frankly dishonest way to do business. Not surprisingly after taking the vehicle to a different shop I received a quote for the repair I needed coming in at $200 LESS and ZERO FEES for the diagnostics. Its also worth mentioning The Little Garage told me that my serpentine belt needed to be replaced, the shop I went to instead told me the serpentine belt looks totally fine and is not in need of replacment. How does this place expect to do well if this is how customers are treated? Im not the first reviewer here to point out this sort of treament. I paid The Little Garage for diagnostic services I never asked for and in hindsight, considering my serpentine belt does not need to be repaced, Im not even 100% sure I can trust this diagnostic that I was coerced into paying for. That could have been the one thing that would have remotely made it worth the shameless price gouging. Seriously, thanks for nothing.EDIT: Ok, lets talk about exact dollar amounts. I honestly only tried keeping the review concise to make it less confusing and verbose for future readers but heck, why not, heres some more. In total I paid exactly $117.45. For what? For a service I NEVER ASKED FOR and was NOT TOLD would be done. For a service that was provided for absolutely zero cost at another shop nearby. I could care less about your excuses for why this happened, the fact of the matter is I asked TWICE how much this would cost and TWICE the person I asked this question to did not mention the diagnostic fee in the slightest. Explain that one, explain how someone can straight up ask what something will cost and get no indication whatsoever that theyre looking at a minimum of $180 for something they dont even want or need. Am I supposed to be greatful that you only made me pay $110+tax for something I never asked for and was never told I would be charged for? I literally told your shop the digital multimeter readings for the alternator and said I think the alternator is bad will you look at it and tell me how much it would cost to replace. I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THE DIAGNOSTIC OF MY ENTIRE VEHICLE. I NEVER ASKED YOU TO PROVIDE THAT SERVICE. This is exactly why this is a form of dishonesty. Not telling me your shop was going to do this, not telling me the price associated with that service, not even after asking point blank in-person. It would have taken two seconds but theres obviously a reason it wasnt mentioned.

These guys did a good job replacing my vapor canister (under the hood) i do wonder why the $129 fee to diagnose is not applied to the invoice once they do the repair. Other shops Ive used in the past have always done so. I appreciate the inspection however i wasnt given the opportunity to opt out of that. I just feel that a total of almost $750 was very steep. I will get 2nd opinions on any further work i have done on my 96 Blazer... **i took vehicle back because check engine light came on again & Ryan got his mechanic Juan right on it. Turns out small hose at top of gas tank had a small split in it. They replaced it & sent me on my way with No Charge!! Thats the way to take extra care of a customer 😀😀 thank you

I hope my visit here isn’t the standard service received because it was terrible. I normally work on my own car but I work 3 jobs so it can be hard to always find time so a friend of mine recommended these guys and offered to help. I took my vehicle in and let the mechanic know when I dropped it off that it had a bad air or secondary air pump or possibly a vacuum leak but I didn’t have anything to test the vacuum system so I wasn’t sure. The mechanic suggested it could also be the mass air flow sensor and I told him I had already checked and replaced that myself since it was an easy task, that the check engine code was showing a bad air pump or vacuum leak. I called the next day an was informed they hadn’t gotten to my car yet but they would later that day. I called the next day and was informed they had to order a part and it might not get finished that day and they would call me when it was done. The next day I still hadn’t heard from them so I called again and they said yes my car was finished and I could come pick it up. When I showed up the gentleman helping gave me my keys and went over the invoice with me. He told me just so I would be aware the check engine light might come on after I drive it for a while and that it was something related to an air pump or vacuum leak, I was speechless, he then told me they had performed an inspection which was around $80, and replaced the mass air flow sensor for which they charged $230 for the part and about $200 for the labor! Having just replaced this part right before I brought my vehicle in I know the part only cost me about $100 and it took me 5 minutes because it only requires removing 2 screws to unplug and replace the sensor. I still can’t believe it. Over $500 to replace a part I had literally replaced days before bringing my vehicle in only to get my car back 4 days later in the exact condition with the exact same problem I had brought my car in for to begin with. I ended up taking the next day off work and replaced the air pump myself which fixed the problem, thank goodness, no more check engine light. Reading other reviews it seems like most people haven’t had this bad of an experience so I’m not sure how the ball got dropped on my situation but I definitely won’t be back nor would I recommend them to anyone.Re:⬇️ I actually did mention being dissatisfied with the service while picking up my vehicle , I mentioned it was frustrating that the sensor was replaced after I told the mechanic I had just replaced it and that the problem still hadn’t been fixed after. I asked why that had happened and wasn’t given an answer. I was told in a matter of fact tone “sorry, there isn’t anything else we can do for you”. I found it ironic because I was actually asked as I was leaving “is there was anything else we can do for you today?” And thinking to myself yeah you could fix my car. If this is no longer the case and now there is something you could do for me I would love to hear from you, otherwise I think I will play it safe and I still won’t be back to give you another chance. I’m afraid I couldn’t afford to risk it happening again. I do appreciate the response at least though.

My family has been taking our vehicles to LG for years. Ryan and his father always ran a great shop, However, we have had the unfortunate pleasure of working with Mark recently. He has been nothing but rude, impatient and arrogant. Additionally, we have noticed that prices for labor and services have increased dramatically over the years. Our last experience, we were overcharged and had to fight to get our costs reduced even after Mark informed us of the exact service charge prior to coming in. This last experience was enough for us to take our vehicle to another shop for a second opinion. We were encouraged to have a much better custom service experience and the repairs costs/labor were HALF of what LG was quoting. I highly recommend getting a second opinion after going to LG and realize this shop is not what it use to be. Sad to say, LG has lost 3 long-term customers.

The service was very professional, and I received a complete picture of what service my truck required, in addition to the emission tests required for renewing my vehicle registration. I was not pressured to, Fix this right now, or... but was given a realistic assessment of work that would be required in the future. I like that I can plan for maintenance on this vehicle. That is important to a person on a fixed income.

I took my car to the Toyota dealer to get fixed (would not recommend) and they essentially told me that the problem is not fixable unless I replace parts that would cost me over 3 grand. They even got their expert mechanic of over 29 years of experience to look at my car and he couldnt do anything. I took a hard pass and instead booked an appointment at this place. They fixed the problem for $125. These guys know what theyre doing and their customer service is phenomenal. I could not be more pleased with my experience.

Do not go to this shop! I took my truck into them and they told me I needed a new radiator new radiator hoses and a new water pump. Also told me my ball joints were bad. They wanted over $4,000 for all of that. Seemed a bit high to me so I took it to another shop for a second opinion. The second shop said all I needed was a water pump. And as for the ball joints, all that was needed was new wheel bearings. So they got that diagnosis wrong. Instead of paying over $4000 at little garage I only paid under $1000 at the second shop for my water pump and bearings. Dishonest is all I can say for little garage. They tried charging me an extra $3000 for things that didn’t need to be done. Please go somewhere else if honesty is what your looking for. My friend who recommended little garage to me also had a similar experience with them. So it wasn’t just me they do this too.

Usually you always do the 44 point inspection, this time you did not. You could have made more money off of me if you would have told me I had low fluids and you wanted to do a full service. A clean and well organized shop that gets the job done and stands behind their work. Needed my emergency brake cable fixed on my 1993 Dodge Dakota Extended Cab truck. They were prompt in assessing the job and giving me an estimate. Turned out to be a bit of a gnarly job because of the way the three old rusty cables worked together. Had to bring the truck back a second time to get it to work properly. They made it a priority, and got right on it. Very pleased with the results now. And that is important because I have a camper on the back end, and really want the brakes to hold on steep hills, and it does. Really appreciate a shop that stands 100% behind their work.

Everyone there was kind and helpful. They all seemed trustworthy. I really liked that they uploaded a full vehicle inspection online for me to look at. I went in for an oil leak that I thought was gonna be an expensive fix, but it turned out not to be (so that was a pleasant surprise). I would bring my car back for diagnosing problems again for sure. The oil change I got, though, was the most expensive one I’ve ever gotten in my entire life (that’s the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). BUT the oil leak in my car was caused by the oil filter being put in my car wrong by the last place to change my oil. So, the higher price might be worth it knowing that they actually did it right??????? The guys there definitely seem to know what they are doing. If I weren’t a poor post-college kid trying to pay off student loans, the peace of mind would probably be worth the increased price. My car is hard to change the oil on so the oil filter put in wrong again in the future somewhere else is definitely a possibility. I will decide in three-ish months when I’m due for another oil change if the price is worth it to me. Hahahahaha. Thanks Little Garage!

Charged me $100 for a coolant hose leak diagnosis without my authorization for the charge. quoted me $750 for the repair, split halfway between parts and labor. AutoZone has replacement hoses available for less than 20 bucks.

I really like the online scheduling and online reports for checkups. The staff is very courteous and excellent at communicating whats happening with repair. The service is also fast and flexible. I was referred here because of their honesty and expertise.

Ryan and his team do excellent work. They make it cost effective without cutting corners, always explaining the work, the extent of the work, the consequences if it doesnt get done. Theyve saved me money when I went to a tire shop that told me I need a ton of work done. Took it to Ryan to get a second opinion and he told me what did and didnt need to be done on their list, and why. I frequently recommend the Little Garage to friends and coworkers.

They are a good price for the value I receive. I trust them and feel like they dont over-diagnose or over-charge. I really like their location downtown- easy to drop off in the morning, and pick it up after work.

I used to take my cars to Little Garage all the time, but their prices kept going up, to the point where I started to feel it was ridiculous (the pricing increases started happening when the son, Ryan, took over). I now take my cars elsewhere.Ill also mention quickly, that my mom recommended this place to someone who took their car there - after fixing an issue (and charging a lot for it), the mechanic forgot to connect something (I dont have all the details) - but the main issue is, she heard a sound her engine was making and went the next day back to the shop. The mechanic (not Ryan) told her that the sound had been his fault, and he had fixed it and she was good to go. Ryan, not knowing the mechanic had talked to her, then came out and told her that they had found the source of the problem, and they were going to be so kind as to not charge her for repairing the issue - no mention that it had been their fault to begin with, and seemingly suggesting that he was doing her a favor. It was a little skeezy, and that person no longer goes here either.Its too bad, because I always felt that Ryan was great, and that this was an honest place I could go to, to get my car fixed. But now I just feel like their pricing isnt competitive and they may not be as honest as Id like.

Prices seem fair and theyve been honest with me. Pretty fast and didnt try to up sell me stuff I didnt need.

Im​ a first time customer. I took my 86 Ford f-250 to them to evacuate the a/c system so I can make some repairs. I have some major repairs that I wont be able to do myself and feel very confident that I have found a shop that I can trust.
