This was my first visit to Lancer Automotive. I had a Groupon voucher for my annual emissions test along with tags and documents. Theyre quick and friendly there. The office and waiting area were comfortable, clean and pleasant. Theyre a full service shop, that handles the flow of customers with ease and courtesy. Theyre definitely worth trying a new place for my needed services!!!

Its hard to find honest mechanics these days. Though I dont have much experience with this shop they seem to be honest people here.

Rip off artists. I brought my car for a brake check. There was a squeaky noise but the brakes were still working. They told me I need to replace all the calipers, rotors and brakes. 1500 dollars is what they wanted. They said they wont touch it until they get all the parts. I then called another mechanic and he said it sounds funny that they need to change the calipers if you can still brake fine. So after about ten minutes outside talking to him I decided to go with him instead of Lancer. When I went back in I told them I will take it home. Then they tried to charge me 79 dollars just to give it back because they already started pulling it apart. The other mechanic quoted me 300 dollars and said the rear brakes are fine and didnt see anything wrong with the calipers especially since the brakes were working fine on the way there. He told me the calipers would only be a problem if the brakes were completely shot and you had to press them all the way to the floor when stopping. Lancer are liars and theives.

Got my emissions done and it was super quick service! It usually takes over an hour at other places to get done. Plus they had a Groupon which was even better! They have a clean waiting area and a cute shop dog.

Made an appointment for Emissions testing less than a week ago, came in yesterday at 3:30 and was completely done and out the door in 10 minutes flat. Literally nothing to complain about, it was what you hope and expect for Emissions testing. On a side note, I had a Groupon and experienced zero problems. Front desk lady was nice on the phone and in person.

Simple, clean shop in a great location with super helpful staff.RJ was super friendly on the phone and agreed to squeeze me in. Jacob at the front was accommodating and super friendly. Even though they didn’t really have any open slots, they went the extra mile and snuck me in.

They did a great job getting my truck into their shop and installing my Tonneau cover the same day so I could take it on my trip yhe next day.

I used to go here in 1986, with , your first car (it was branded under a different name at the time), and was delighted to find out it was still operating, even if under a different me.Very nostalgic.I digress.When I brought my car in for service last month, the customer service was top notch. Prices were great. I will be returning for sure.

I purchased an emission test from this company through Groupon, saved about $5. The coupon indicated appointment required so I called to make the appointment with a two week cushion before my registration expired. The rude and short lady told me that the next available appointment was a month out. I explained my time deadline and she basically told me, too bad, so sad. So I had someone else call the next day and inquire about a non-, coupon cash paying check and was told, Come in anytime, no appointment needed, youll be out of here in 10 minutes.If they dont want to do the work, then they shouldnt be advertising. And dont waste your time trying to get anywhere with Groupon, they wrote the book on poor customer service.

Clear communication and timely service.All I did here was an emissions test so I cant speak to their technical prowess but I dont have any complaints.

I’ve had my emissions and renewal done here the last two years and they are amazing. It’s been extremely fast and super easy every year and their receptionist is the sweetest lady ever!

Because of a replacing the battery, the car wasnt ready for an emissions test, until I drove the car for a continuous hour. They explained this, and rescheduled my test. In total, for two visits, it only took about 45 minutes. Theyre courteous, fast, and easy to work with. I highly recommend Lancer Auto.

Ive been going to lancer since 2005, and always had a great experience. My last visit has me reconsidering my customer loyalty. My alternator had gone out for the third time in under two years, fortunately the alternator had a two year warranty and they replaced the last two faulty units. However, the last time I was in there, they told me the battery I had bought less than 12 hours before (and about 20 minutes of run time) was bad. I had no reason to not believe them, so I took the battery to the store I had bought it from. They tested it as good, and sent me on my way. When I went back to lancer, the woman I talked to got argumentative about the battery being bad, which eventually had to go to a manager and resulted in my battery being installed. I havent had an issue since, but this experience coupled with their new hours of 8am-4:30pm are leaving me less and less impressed.

It depends on the day for the service here. I had issues last year with a couple things and had great help and amazing service. I went more recently and could tell I was being swindled into paying a lot and not getting much help. Ended up not moving forward with the service that time.

Best service in town! I’ve been taking our vehicles to them for years and I’m always satisfied with their efficiency, honesty, organization, and speed. I recently took my truck in for two headlight bulb replacements. They didn’t have one of the bulbs, so they ordered it and had it there and replaced in 20 minutes! They handed me my keys and said I was all set, but I said I hadn’t paid yet. They explained that they usually replace bulbs at no cost. This couldn’t have impressed me more! I was SO happy and appreciative! I can’t think of EVER having work done on my vehicle at no cost to me. If you need anything handled on your vehicle, this is the place to go!

Awesome experience! Was treated with the utmost respect. Being a woman, I was somewhat apprehensive about dealing with ANY auto shop on my own. I also had a cam-sensor that went bad on my truck. Mine is actually in my distributor assembly. Come to find out that yes..., some sensors are as easy to change as a spark plug, as RO HO claims, but there are also some that require up to 7 or 8 hours to replace. (Mine was not one of those, thankfully. Wonder where his was? Ive got a pretty good idea where his head resides!). Also, no wheels need to come off to do a cam-sensor repair, even a girl can understand that. So, in summary, I most definitely will continue to patronize as well as recommend Lancer Automotive to ALL my friends and family. Probably perfect strangers as well.

Lancer was and is hands down the best experience I have had with car repairs. I took my car in after the check engine light came on and it lost power multiple time while driving (had no idea what the issue was). Lancer was quick to look at it and resolved the issue within hours of dropping it off. They even offered to give me a ride somewhere if I needed it. Thank you Lancer!

I have went into Lancer Auto a number of times. They are everything I want in a mechanic shop. They are extremely honest and fair in their dealings with me. I will never take my vehicles anywhere else. Keep up the good work!

I took my car into Lancer a week or two to have some urgent brake issues looked at quickly. Showing up at their shop first thing in the morning, and not knowing what to expect, I had planned on having to wait around the shop for half a day before they finally told me itd be a couple days to get fixed. Not the case. They conveniently had a very friendly gentleman give me a ride to work (I ended up to work just 15 minutes later than my usual time), were quick to diagnose and fix my car, and they had me up and running later that day. The service was great, they resolved my issues quickly, and best of all, the price was far more reasonable than I was expecting. Ive worked with a lot of car shops that try to gouge and find every little thing that has to be fixed, but they did no such thing. They simply repaired my car well, in a timely fashion, and for a very reasonable price.Ill definitely be taking my car back to them in the future and have already recommended them to family members.

They did some brake work and a 90k checkup. Fair prices and honest answers. Saved way more than in I had gone to the dealer. I went in the other day to get my alignment done and they were honest in telling me they didnt trust the machine, but are getting it serviced or replace soon. Other guys might have just done it anyway.

The owner here treated me like Im stupid. No one I know will ever come here for service again. I was having trouble getting my car to pass emissions, since its an old car, and he wouldnt listen to me when I told him what we had done. He refused to test it the second time because he didnt believe me. I had to get my dad, a man, on the phone for him to talk to and to tell him exactly what I told him about what wed done to my car. Terrible service. Will never go back.

My short little experience with lancer automotive was a reminder of how important it is to find a good shop and never go anywhere else again! I went in for a simple AC service and was quoted 75.00 for the job. I waited there for them to do the job they immediately pulled my vehicle into the shop and hooked up there machine to it all in all it was back there for no longer than 20 minutes. There tech came up and said Im sorry but your AC pump must be back because my machine is saying it wont hold pressure. As has telling me this hes still hooked up to my van and told me he is evacuating my AC system. Before I went in I personally added 1 large and 3 small cans of Freon to the system it cost me 110 dollars for all of it. He told me he was only able to add 2 ounces of Freon but he evacuated my entire system and told me he couldnt fix it without a new pump and then for the 15 to 16 minutes of work his machine did still charged me 69.00 dollars. I asked him why so much for doing nothing he told me it wasnt his fault it was broken, which is true however he flat stole 100 dollars or so worth of Freon from me and that is his fault. Idk what kind of work these guys are capable of doing Im not reviewing that but I am telling you that they are capable of being very dishonest and sneaky and that is the most dangerous thing a mechanic shop can be. Be warned !!

I took my car here because the brakes were squeaking. I was concerned about safety rather than the noise. They called me and said that its perfectly safe and talked me out of the $500 solution for the noise.That was my first time visiting this shop and I dont know anyone who works there. They could have used all sorts of shady tactics, but they didnt. I will use them as my primary mechanic from now on.

My car started overheating because of a coolant leak. I pulled in here and the worker helped me out by filling me up so I could make it home. They were very nice and courteous.

I used to really like Lancer Automotive. However, their old manager (Carlos) left, and I never got quite the same positive feeling from the new guy.Recently, I took my car in because of the check engine light. I took it in just a couple days after the light turned on, and when they called back with the diagnosis, they told me there were three codes for three different sensors and recommended replacing all of those sensors for $300+. I dont know a ton about cars, but I do know that the odds of three different sensors all failing within 48 hours is low. I told them I didnt think all the sensors failed at once and that I didnt want to get them replaced at that time. They didnt offer to do any further diagnostic tests.To me, it seems like they didnt do their legwork and were just hoping that Id pay for the sensor replacements and then come back and pay for the actual repair once my check engine light came back on in three days.

I took my 05 explorer in because my passenger side window would not work. It was last week and salt lake had on and off snow storms all week. Lancer auto diagnosed that on my driver side door panel 2 wires were broken. Very pleased that they didnt charge me for taking off the passenger side door panel trying to figure out what was wrong. In all felt like they charged an appropriate price. Did not feel like I was taken advantage of. Treated very fair.

My car broke down and it turned out to be the engine. Scott and his crew diagnosed the problem and it was worse than we expected. I ended up taking my car so i could rebuild the engine myself. I used to love this place...The old manager Carlos was honest, fair, and gave you reliable schedule for when the work would be done. They now have a new manager there and both my wife and I have had poor service since (will not be going back anymore). I took my car in because I couldnt get 2 rusted bolts off my exhaust (i even provided them with the OEM replacement bolts) and was told they could also just throw on my new exhaust quickly once the removed bolts (literally the whole job requires 2 bolts to me removed...With a lift and the correct tools this job should have taken only about 30 min to an hr max. I came back to pick up my car and they charged me over $200 dollars (at that price I could has just bought a brand to dremel tool and cut off myself), the new manager also tried to keep my old OEM exhaust even though I know its worth decent money and was in perfect condition. I would NOT recommend this place anymore.

My first time at this shop, my Jeep limped in with a blown head gasket. They had me back on the road within 2 business days. Fair market price for what I had done. They had the had the head machined without me asking for it which is an important and often skipped step by other shops.

I dont usually wrote reviews on businesses. ive actually been taking my cars to Lancers forever cause its around the corner from my house. in the past its been satisfactory but i think they are under new management now and im really impressed. i got a new car a month ago and i was driving home about a week after i got it and it started chugging and i was freakin out. i took it the next morning and they fixed my car in about 5 minutes free of charge. granted it was an easy fix but they didnt charge me for a diagnostic check or anything. just last week i was in an accident involving some black ice and a curb. took it in, a couple hours later they called me back telling me everything that needs to be replaced...oh and they knocked off quite a bit off my bill by reducing the price of labor since my bill was so large. if you go here ask for CARLOS. the guy is awesome, really friendly and very knowledgeable.

Took car in for a no-start. Problem was diagnosed efficiently, within 20 minutes as a bad camshaft position sensor. Thats about where the good service ends. The serviceman asked if I wanted it repaired and quoted an estimated price of $150. I checked Autozone for the part price, which was $37.99 so I figured $110 was worth avoiding the hassle of getting it back home to fix it myself. When I went in to pick the car up, I was given a bill for $340.For anyone who doesnt know, replacing a cam position sensor is about as easy as changing out a spark plug. I asked why the excessive cost. They said they had to order the part that was $80 and replace the mounting screw. I told them the Autozone price of 37.99 and asked why replacing a $2 mounting screw should add $190 to the estimated price.The guy at the counter started to get flustered and rambled on about additional parts and labor costs for having to re-tap and thread the screw. I asked why I should have to pay extra because they used a screw with the wrong threads/inch to which he replied that it was all they had on hand. So basically, I got charged an extra $190 because they used the wrong $2 screw.In addition to this, when they put my tire back on, they crossthreaded one of the lugnuts. When I went in to Costco to have my tires rotated a month later, they had to break the lug stud to get the tire off.Absolutely terrible service. In my experience they are way more concerned about getting cars in and out quickly to make a buck than they are about fixing them right. Both of the problems I faced could have been avoided if someone would have spent an extra 30 seconds to make sure they were doing things right.Making customers pay extra for mistakes they made by carelessness is just plain dishonest.
