The teacher is great with kids! My son (11) has only been attending for a bit over a month and he loves it! The teacher helps them feel comfortable learning and even making mistakes. Would highly recommend!

Ive been training with Master Delenela for over ten years, so I hope to give an insider glimpse into what training at the academy is like. Its a very encouraging environment. Students are treated respectfully and Master Delenela is one of the most patient teachers I have seen. He is funny and knows when to blend measures of humor and empathy to get the best efforts out of the kids when needed.The karate itself is traditional yet understandable and relatable. You learn technical theory and some Korean vocabulary but it is integrated well into the physical lessons and applications. Master Delenela is a skilled technician - it shows in his instruction and in the caliber of students and martial artists he produces. I have trained in multiple schools with my share of noted martial artists and Round Rock Karate Academy stands out overall for its combination of environment and rigor.I would recommend those searching for a traditional martial arts school to check out RRKA. It has classes and instructional levels for students of all ages and is rooted in respect, courtesy, and safety.

My daughter has been a student of Round Rock Karate Academy for 10 years. Under the direction of Master Delenela, her self-confidence, patience, and focus have all increased. She is much more willing to take on new challenges. Respect is a BIG thing in this school. There is something about training under Master Delenela that can switch her mood … my daughter can walk into class in a testy mood, but almost 100% of the time, she comes out smiling and feeling good about herself. It’s like she has been reset. Round Rock Karate Academy is the school for us!

My grandson began his journey here when he was 10. At the time he was a bit shy, not athletic or confident. Four years later he just tested for his Black Belt. He is become very strong and self confident. I can not say enough wonderful things about Round Rock Karate Academy and their instructors. It has made so many positive changes in his life. I know it will continue to be a positive influence in his continued growth and confidence.

We went to several other karate studios and for us it was instantly obvious that this one was far above and beyond the rest. Master Delenela pours his heart and soul into teaching the art and has gone to great lengths to keep the children engaged and excelling even through the quarantine and mess of a year. The other assistant teachers are fantastic as well. My son absolutely loves going, and enjoys the zoom classes as well; it is the highlight of his week. It has helped his confidence to grow and it seems the other students are equally engaged and growing. Weve recommended this place to several friends. Not only do they teach karate but they also impress upon the students the importance of and how to become a person with sound morals and virtues. Cant recommend them enough!!

We’ve been members of this school for a few years and are so appreciative of instruction from an actual master instructor and not just student black belts. There is a reason why this school keeps winning the best martial arts school in round rock awards. They really are the best! We checked out many other karate places and this one was the best from the location to instruction and student/parent community. Definite recommend!

We have our grandson full time and decided to take him to this karate school for self-esteem and discipline, before the virus pandemic we would sit in and watch the classes and loved how Master Delenela and his instructors work with the children as a class and individually. He is funny and makes the parents laugh, it is entertaining to sit and watch him with the kids. I highly recommend this Karate School for any age.Currently we are working with Master Delenela on a virtual platform as we cannot go into the public right now due to the covid-19 virus. We feel very fortunate to have such dedication from the instructors and feel that we will be here for a good long while and hope to get our grandson to Black Belt some day.

One of THE BEST Martial Art School. Its not only about Martial Art and Technique that you learn here, it Body Mind and Spiritual connection and mostly important the Quality Mind Set.We did shop around different martial art school but we found Round Rock Karate Academy to best fit the Vision and concept of Martial Art. Sam Bo Nim is a Great person and the Instructors are so great as well. Not everyone can instruct the class, instructors needs to be certified so you are in good hands no matter whom you work with.This is a school of martial art without boundaries to learn. If you or your kids are really interested, then no one is stopping you to come for class. My son comes all 5 days possible.Extra Saturday class (1hour class) is of such a great extra class that you learn very quality lesson. All these comes with no extra cost to you and that is so great of Sam Bo Nim (Daniel Dalenela). There are online videos for member to watch and learn if you are really into martial art and again comes with no extra cost. This is such a great resource.If you are capable then Sam Bo Nim dont holds student back to make money per month, (there is no contract to sign. If you dont like you can leave the school and there is no penalty and trust me once you are here you will not leave), He would let student advance and learn higher level material. His philosophy is if you work hard than you get what you deserve. It is not how long you stayed with school, its how hard you worked. My son he joined in 7 months back as a white belt at 10th Gup level and now he is already Green belt with two stripes at 4th Gup level. And its not he just got it, he was tested real hard to his limit and that gives us satisfaction as well.Also With in 2 months of joining the school he participated in Tang So Doo 13th Annual tournament at San Antonio as a white belt but competing with 2-3 higher rank belts and he got into first place. Thats what it tell all about the quality of Round Rock Karate Academy VS others.On top of all these, his intension is not just not make money but to share the knowledge of martial arts and to teach with all his capacity. If you want your kids to learn martial art then I would encourage to sit in class and review with your kids at home. This is really helps kids learn out of class and progress with whopping speed. Master Daniel Dalenela and all instructors appreciates and encourages to do so.In very short after all this long text, you wont find any other martial art school any close to what Round Rock Karate Academy does with its Disciples in mind.

My son started off in Round Rock Karate Academys Little Dragon program just over a year ago. He immediately gained so much confidence, he was able to participate in a competition and loved it. I cant emphasize enough how great this program is for teaching body control, strength and discipline. My son (now seven) just moved up to the youth program. I have enjoyed seeing him continue to thrive under Master Delenelas leadership. He is truly gifted with the kids - from the Little Dragons up to the advanced students.

This is by far the best school!!!! The instructors are top notch!!! My son has blossomed beyond my expectations. All thanks to Round Rock Karate Academy and their instructors! They should have a ten star rating for this school!

Both my sons have trained at RRKA and we have been superbly impressed with Master Delenela and his staff there. They have helped our boys become more confident, more focused, and more mature as they become young men. The instructors are wonderful, patient with the students at all levels, and are able to bring the best out of them with their teaching techniques. Organized, professional, fun, and educational; I would highly recommend RRKA for anyone, of any age, looking for training and education in Tang Soo Do.
