We were traveling through North Carolina and broke down midway on our way to the coast for vacation, everybodys worse fear! After panicking, trying to fix ourselves and pacing for 30 mins we found Tharringtons and gave them a call. Of course we were nervous but had no choice. They were professional, helpful and friendly. In fact the whole town was! The price was even lower than they originally quoted and we picked up car on our way back. I can finally breathe! Big thanks and would definitely recommend 👍

I highly recommend Tharrington’s Auto Works, because I TRUST THEM!!!!! Unfortunately in today’s world, there are very few businesses I can say that about. The staff is friendly and super knowledgeable!! They’re able to handle all of your automotive maintenance and repair needs - you don’t have to take your car all over town (or out of town) to several different places. Tharrington’s always does an excellent job in a timely manner!! I take all of my vehicles - business and personal - foreign and domestic- to them. I have never had a problem, and have been very satisfied for many years. It’s a huge comfort to a busy person like me, to never have to worry about my vehicles!!

Had to return vehicle today, because oil was leaking. Not good at all!!!! Supposed to check for that before letting it go out the shop. Need to check for leaks before you move the vehicle out of the shop!!

I dropped my car off on a Thursday day night. Truthfully I was expecting to have to spend about 1500 and have to wait about 3 - 5 days for them to order parts and then do the necessary labor. They called Friday morning about 11 oclock and my car was ready for me to pick up. Now they were supposed to call me before they did any work or purchased any parts. They hadnt and I was worried about the price to get my car out. Then the very nice woman who called me, she was very nice during the whole process, said it was only 95 dollars to come get my car. I had never been here before and was worried about the schuester mechanic, but my worries were completely uncalled for. I would return to this shop or recommend it to anyone in the area!

I’m going to have to give them a one star even though I never took my car there and this is why. I called there last week and asked the guy how much would he charge to install a wheel bearing in a 2009 Honda Accord? I told him I had already bought the wheel bearing from Auto Zone. He goes “We don’t install customer bought parts”. What kind of dumb nonsense is that? It’s coming from the same place they would go and buy the part from. The reason why they do that is because they can up charge you and put whatever price they want to on the part and not tell you how much it really cost them. So I just took my car to another place and they put the bearing in for me.

Brought my truck in 3 times for check engine light being on . After thousands of dollars and being told it could be a loose or broken wire, it is still on. I wouldnt waste my time or money.

This mechanic sucks they caused a starter to go bad because the heat shield was touching the starter causing the starter to short out you tube videos are posted on astral auto repairs of thier schoddy work on a 2008 lexus lx460

Tharringtons just repaired another vehicle for me.....slight body dmaged due to hit and run. Picked up my truck, and it looks brand new. Scott Tharrington and his shop have taken care of my vechicles since the early 90s and I have never been disappointed. Thank you Scott and LisaMike LaBar

Not to only did they double charge me for the part itself but charged me 126 dollars to replace a upper radiator hose then they blew the seal out in my water pump by pressure testing it at 20psi when its rated for 15 wouldnt take ownership of it and when I said what they did on Google reviews the OWNER called me telling me I wont get my car back if I dont make it a 5 star review

Excellent service from begining to end

Literally the most corrupt auto repair place in town. It has a terrible reputation all over for a reason, deliberately messing peoples cars up to squeeze money out of them. Unfortunately I found out too late. Avoid this place at all costs!
