Just got my nails done and it’s like hidden fees galore. It’s 40 for dip. 47 if they have to take off last dip. Then they charge extra for my length apparently/coffin or almond shape. Let’s be real my nails came out round. Then extra because I got a “design” with couple colors. So now I’m at 57. I don’t feel I should be charged for length/filing when they are hardly considered long nails nor did I have an almond shape nail outcome. I’m also happy they trimmed my cuticles which is not always something I get when receiving a dip manicure. I liked my tech and was happy I had little to no interruptions in service like I’ve had some other places. I think it is never a great experience when you have hidden Costs that are not clearly communicated. I don’t agree with this style being extra for length and shape. Will see if other places in the area do it this way too, normally don’t come to the Pearl for nails.

Great quality service! My dip looks fantastic and had a great pedicure. Since the pandemic they are a little understaffed so calling and making an appointment is probably a good idea. They were very kind and professional even though they were super busy. Highly recommend

I love this place! I’ve been coming here since October when I moved to Portland. I’ve had gel manicures here and just had my first dip manicure. It was absolutely perfect!!! They always take their time and do a great job.

They also specialize in dipping powder which is a newer better alternative to gel nails. They are pretty busy most of the time, theyre really good so theyre popular. Best to make an appointment and be prepared to be patient. Totally worth it! Highly recommend.

Although there were several different options in the area, I decided to go with this place because of the good reviews. I’m glad I did. I received by far the best customer service I have ever received from a nail salon.The technician took his time and was very meticulous. He offered me something to drink and asked me what kind of music I like. I said piano music. Then he changed the salon music to a piano music station (!!), although there was no one else in the salon, so maybe that was why.There was a brief misunderstanding about what kind of nail color I wanted, but the technician apologized and even offered me a five dollar discount for his mistake, even though it was really no big deal (he just had to fix one nail).Also, he did cut the cuticles too close, in my opinion. A couple of my cuticles were red and irritated afterward. Partly my fault for not speaking up. I have had it happen in nail salons before, as my cuticles are naturally thin.Overall, an excellent experience. If my gel manicure holds up over the next couple of weeks, I will definitely be returning.

I had a great experience here! The technician was very nice and extremely helpful. She gave great suggestions and helped my indecisiveness melt away. She was really great about letting me know what she could and could not do with nail art. My nails look fantastic! I will definitely be going back.

I love this place, and its only my first visit , staff is super courteous , respectful, helpful, and more importantly , they take cleanliness, this pandemic, and social distancing seriously. - Im New to Portland, actually started with an appointment with a nail shop down the block, that other place seemed rushed on phone set appointment to come in right away, I walked there, the place is packed. Just to walk into the place Id been within 6 feet of at LEAST 5-6 people. No social distancing whatsoever. I get 100% compliance can be difficult, but I saw no attempt at all. I chose not to walk in, and walked down to NW Nail instead. I am very glad I did.

Really nice nail techs, everything was clean and they were very efficient. Nail polish update - my nails discolored less than a week after application, this has never happened to me before. They also started to peel up and off which is weird since shellacking normally lasts at least 2 weeks if not 3. Even though the techs were nice I likely will not return since I feel like it would be wasted money.

What a gem! I truly enjoyed the pedicure I received and cant wait to go back again. Our mail technicians were so professional and completely engaged in the service they were providing. No wonder it was excellent!

I was in town for 1 day I didnt realize my left side dip was very thick compared to my right hand probably because the tech had a visitor talking to him during my session and he didnt put oil after I was done to soften up my cuticle I asked a lady to she barely put any on me now I have to go to my hometown tech to fix it pay out of pocket not Im not happy.

Ive been to NW Nails a couple of times now, having gone for a manicure and each time. The space is very clean, with many stations, and multiple televisions.Ann has taken care of me both visits. She was extremely polite, and very accommodating - allowing me to stay after closing one night for my nails to dry. She also made me feel welcomed and relaxed, which isnt always the case when you arent a woman requesting to have your nails done.I have been very happy with my nails, and will be returning again in a few weeks!

Great color as well as the shape of the nails just matched my opinion perfectly!! I got a little bit lost while choosing the nails design, and the tech was so nice and helpful that she chose, probably one of the best nails design i got!! so impressed!! i hope i can come back soon!! highly recommend

Went with my mom yesterday to get a pedicure, we were greeted as soon as we walked in and our pedicures started right away with no wait. The ladies were sweet and the pedicures were one of the best weve had. The salon is beautiful, clean, and spacious. Theres no overwhelming nail salon smell and the decor isnt like a typical nail salon. The prices are reasonable, $20 for a basic pedicure, we went with the $25 European pedicure. I think Ive found my new nail place i found.

Really impressed with my first powder dip manicure. Minn did an excellent job and they have tons of colors to choose from. Very clean and all the employees were polite. I will definitely be back!

This is my go-to spot for pedicures. Ive had 3 different people do my nails, and each person really takes their time and does a great job. Im a runner and a climber, so my nails are really not the best.... they always come out fine here! Nice way to relax with some wine and a great pedicure!

My wife and I have been going here for three years on our date nights. The staff is always friendly, they also offer complementary beverages with their treatments. The prices are fair and there isnt that terrible salon smell.

Love my powder dip. It has lasted a month. I just wish that they were closer to my house. The price is right. They do an excellent job. They have a much larger selection of colors than the salon closer to my home. The only problem is parking downtown which is insane.

Went to get my eyebrows and chin waxed. They were nice and greeted up walking in and had me in the back seated, ready to go in less than 1 min (no joke).The waxing was fast, thorough and pretty painless. I cant speak on any of their other services, but I highly recommend them for the face waxing.

Good staff and best salon in C T Nails! I came here at weekend with my wife. She addicted to do manicure and pedicure. I only sat in waiting chair and observed what the staff did. They gave me free beverage even I was not a customer. A girl helped my wife to choose her color for nails. I saw that the staff run again and again without complaint. After many tries, finally my wife chose grey color. The staff did manicure by a careful behavior. I saw they talked together and laugh about many things. They looked like friends. When we went out, my wife looked at her nails all the time. She compliment on this salon. She said she had come this salon every week. That is reason why I recommend C T Nails

Please read the entire review. Let me start by saying the lady who does my nails is AWESOME-her name is Ann. The rest of it sucks. They lie on their website saying they have chrome and holographic for dip-they do NOT. And thats why I started going there originally so its super disappointing. I was early for an appt so they tried to put me with someone else to begin with-which I said no to, then they had the guy START to remove my set, just to help out. But he put the acetone on my nails and LEFT ME. That acetone sat on my nails and skin for THIRTY MINUTES. 30 minutes!! My skin burned and I had to ASK someone to remove it. When it finally came off my skin was dry and white and felt angry and tingled in a bad way. So Ann does an amazing job, but Im not sure if I will be back or not. And the service Ive received from the other staff has left a LOT to be desired. They always shuffle me around and seem to be confused about who is doing what and where I should be (and I make appointments in advance). Their website says they offer complimentary drinks too. Ive never been offered and Ive never seen anyone else have any either. Dont say things on your website if they arent actually true, offered services. The drinks are whatever, but it specifically says chrome and holographic for dip and they flat out said no when I asked in person, said its for shellac only.

I will not go to anyone else but Min for my manicure! I get the dipping powder and I swear he is the best in the city. His techniques make the manicure last longer than Ive ever experienced. I went almost a month ago and just now am I having to go back in - I only have a few little chips on a few nails but otherwise just going in because of nail grow out. This salon is clean and the staff are very kind. Would highly recommend.

My credit card had been left behind after a service, and I had to fly out in the morning and was nowhere near the salon anymore when it was discovered. They made arrangements to meet me in the rain a half hour away to bring me my card so I would have it when I left the next day.And my nails look great. Always happy with the services.

I really love the massage chairs here, really love. This salon is like a luxury salon but with vey valuable price, their massage chairs are so new and comfortable that make me almost fall to sleep because the salon is also very quiet and all time fresh smell. Cleanness is the most important thing that I want in every nail salon, C T Nails has more than what I expected. The staffs are so professional, they do their job very tender so it doesn’t distract me at all while getting my pedicure done and relaxing on the wonderful massage chair. I recommend this salon to everybody.

Would never go back here.Me and my friend had an appointment for her birthday. When I got there I was told there were no nail artists available, so no designs could be done, only solid color. We intended on getting designs, mine was very simple just 3 lines and she said nobody would do it. How are there 4 people doing nails in the room and nobody knows how to paint 3 lines?I sat down and waited for my friend to arrive, it was about 5 minutes before our appointment. The woman refused to wait for her and said I had to start now. I reminded her that I had made an appointment and it wasnt time yet. She said there are people who have appointments after you, were not waiting for your friend, youre starting without her.. I would have left immediately but my friend had a limited time before she had to be back at work and didnt want to risk not finding somewhere in time. I got a gel manicure, half my manicure chipped and peeled away today. Its been 10 DAYS. Never had a gel mani last less than 2- 2 1/2 weeks. This place is the cheapest on the block for a reason!Tldr: Horrible customer service, bad quality gel manicure. Dont bother.

Finally! A decent-priced nail salon is very rare in downtown Portland. On top of that, they cut my nails (I got a pedicure) and never have I seen my nails so perfectly shaped--even when I would get them done at several places.

The first time I was here I had a 5 star experience this time I went I couldn’t get the same nail tech and the one I got didn’t use clean or new disposable instruments on me! I had to ask and when I did she gave me attitude until she finished.

I gave this place an appalling review a year ago which I have since deleted because they obviously took all their bad reviews into account and made changes. They have replaced all of the rude useless staff with much better ones. Its now my go-to nail salon when I am in London. They always do a good job and are helpful.

This is one of best nail salons I have found in this town. If I get my nails done, I never go anywhere else. It is clean and the employees are friendly. I suggest adding the sea salt scrub during your pedicure.

Never coming here again, I got a pedicure last Saturday and 6 hours later I got this painful bump on the arch of my foot. Clearly they aren’t following good sanitation procedures. I’m really upset because I had to pay out of pocket for a doctors visit to get antibiotics, due to it being infected. For future customers make sure you’re asking how they sterilized their tools. Bad Spa!

Lady was really rough with filling my nails, often filling my skin as well. Nails werent shaped well, some were coffin, others stiletto, some almond (I asked for almond). My nails look really sloppy. Probably the worst gel manicure Ive ever had.

I scheduled an appointment for a shellac fill- waited half an hour just for them to tell me they do not know what shellac is- I wish this would have been clarified over the phone

We rented the space for a group event (bridal party, day before the wedding). They had a cute/ corny set up and let us bring in food, which was great. They had about 5 people working plus the owner (?), who pitched in occasionally. We had a big group of about 13, all getting royal manis and pedis.I didnt mind being last in line, but I did find it frustrating that, as members of our group wrapped up and vacated chairs, they did seat and start helping walk-ins BEFORE they got to the end of our group. I was there for over 3 hours and got a lousy manicure, because they were trying to get me done quickly to help the many walk-ins with feet soaking. The polish was all over my cuticles and started to chip as soon as it dried-- not great.Maybe if you walk in, its fine-- everyone seemed polite. But the big group thing wasnt very enjoyable for those of us who were last.
