So I’ve been here before with my husband months ago, I believe it was the owner and wife and they were lovely! I’m not sure if something has changed, but the service was abysmal for myself today simply getting a pedicure. No welcoming hello, I went to find my color to use for my pedicure and one of the other woman working there just simply turned the case looking for what she needed not even seeing I was clearly looking at a color, I was there too. No excuse me, or hello or anything.. VERY rude. Then my pedicure. She did a decent job, but there wasn’t really any hospitality or thank you at the end. I put my own sandals on, thanked her and tipped her.. but I won’t return. No thanks. Too many competitors in area for the service to be that low.

Absolutely worst nail salon Ive ever been to! Never had a person doing my nails that they couldnt do a design and talk me out of my choice! Had an 10 am appointment and they didnt open till 10:30 am!

This place is right across the street from Safeway. Great color choices, and they take the time to really fix ingrown nails and scrub those feet!All staff were abiding by COVID-19 policies with wearing masks, and they have plexy glass when getting a manicure :) I felt very safe :) Thanks again!

If I can give this one place no stars I would. First time I went they did a good job, but my nails started to come off within 3 days of having then. When I went back to get it fix the peeled off the powder dip (which hurt), she rushed on my nails, had an attitude then charged me. Im never going back there and I dont recommend anyone to go there

Some of the negative reviews on here initially worried me, but the affordable price and the fact that its a ten-minute walk from my apartment won me over. Im glad I went, because Im so happy with the results. I got great service and a gorgeous gel manicure for far cheaper than the salon Id been going to. not once did I feel like anyone was judging me for getting my nails done or having long nails (in fact, my manicurist complimented the length). this is my new nail salon!

This place is a gem! Friendly service, great quality, clean and the ambiance is perfect. Enjoyed tea (and wine) while getting one of the best pedicures I have had in awhile! Will come back for sure. Thanks lavande! Wendy is amazing :)

I went there for acrylic nails and the guy didn’t even use the colors I wanted he excuse saying that that are new colors and someone put them somewhere else, the color at the end was so poor and the quality was horrible, nails started to fall out in the first week

Poor service and lack of communication. The person doing my nails did not say a single word to me and rushed my whole pedicure. She exfoliated and didn’t finish with lotion so my skin was left very dry. They left my friend sitting there without putting a clear coat on top and acted annoyed when she asked them to that before she left. Plenty of other places that provide better service in the area.

It took 24 hours for 3 nails to break. He rushed through my fill appointment and didnt even buffer my nails. I went back to get my nails fixed and they were extremely rude to me. I will provide an update once I go back today. I will never go back here again.All of the employees insist that it is my fault that my nails have broken however, I have been getting my nails done for YEARS nails should not break after 24 hours. It is not time for a new full set either. They did a terrible job and there is a reason they only have a few stars!DO NOT GO HERE! They are understaffed and provide poor quality.

I got a pedicure and dip manicure today. The pedicure was great and the man that provided the service was very kind. The dip manicure came out decent and it may just be that I don’t like the general appearance of dip manicures. The honest downside of this experience was that I feel the woman ringing me up for my services severely overcharged me. I was charged $75.00 for a basic pedicure and dip manicure. Maybe I’m off but I don’t think a dip manicure is worth $55.00.

My friend and I went to this place yesterday wanting a good gel manicure- and I couldn’t help to think how I regret going to this place and not waiting to go to another place. The lady probably did both of our gel manicures in about 35-40 minutes and was going so fast while cleaning my cuticle, etc it was actually painful. Not to mention she put on like 3 coats of top coat and it’s pretty much the sloppiest gel manicure I have ever paid for.Hold on to your money and go to adore me on 12th it’s much better and the girls are nice and take there time.Or go here if you have little time and only wanna pay 25. Hope this helps :)

Ive been going here since moving to Portland in 17 & Michelle gives the best manicure/pedicures hands down.Also, shes got the best chairs for a therapeutic neck, shoulders & lower lumbar treatment.Walter.

Where do I even start.Worst pedicure ever, cold water, broken massage chair, zero foot massage, told me to pumice my own heels at home, less than 25 minutes, sloppy paint job.I paid $30 and I told the owner it was the worst pedicure of my life. She literally did nothing, not even an apology. I was beyond pissed. Walked two blocks and became so upset that I decided to go back to ask for my money. The owner and the man who did my nails got extremely combative with me. I am positive the only reason they even refunded me was because there was a huge scene made in a full salon. I’d rather never get my nails done than go there again.

I never write negative reviews but my friends and I had such a terrible experience that I need to. My two friends and I arrived together. Asking for two regular manicures and one gel fill. They told us it was no problem and told us where to sit.my experience: I had about a 5 second hand “massage” (which was extremely rough and painful), then my nails were quickly painted. My cuticles were also cut and bled. It was a ten minute process and cost 20 dollars, which is more then originally stated to us (we were told 16 dollars).Friend 1 experience: She got the same exact manicure as me, yet was somehow charged 25 dollars. Her nails immediately bubbled under the polish.Friend 2 experience: She was told to wait since her first tech didn’t do shellac. Then the second tech apparently didn’t either. Then she was forgotten about, and they were surprised when she said she didn’t want her nails done anymore, after her friends nails were finished. Then the lady told us that they didn’t do shellac(as they were doing somehow else’s). 😑For the record, we were also not offered any drinks the entire time, when they had a lot of options on the wall...So yeah... we aren’t going back ever. And I wish we could a refund. Such a waste of money.

This place rocks! The shellac manicures and pedicures are amazing. The service is great and prices reasonable. Enjoy a glass of wine here too. One of the best nail salons downtown. Ask for Nina!

I went to this place because it was close to work but I guess being in the Pearl means paying $30 for a regular pedicure and not even getting a complimentary drink, in which there was an elaborate display of wine and teas. Would’ve even been happy to have some water. The pedicure itself was fine, the massage was pretty rough and uncomfortable. I would not go here again solely because of the expensive prices (which aren’t listed anywhere visible to customers)

I searched for YEARS until I found this place. All mah ladies are fantastic, massages are longer than most places, you really start to feel like family. Michelle pays attention to the details in her business and it definitely shines through.

Live in the apartments above the salon and still refuse to go here. The one excellent employee is Michelle & She is wonderful! Tended to my needs and made sure I was happy even though they were busy. Amazing & Highly recommend her. BUT the rest of the staff are rude/indifferent & spend the whole time talking to each other. They make you feel like you are an inconvenience. Even when the salon was empty, I was treated as though I was interrupting recess. Rather than try to sell upgrades, they get annoyed when you ask for them. I dont even want to go here anymore after dealing with other staff.

Rough and sloppy work:Lavande used to be great, but their quality is slipping. Ill let the photos from my gel manicure today speak for themselves, but I should at least give a summary of why this place earns a 1-star review:-I had to ask repeatedly for the nail technician to remove my old color. She kept skipping areas and leaving the nail bed rough with the old shellac in spots.-She cut my cuticle so deep that I started bleeding.-The photos reflect what the technician thought was an appropriate gel manicure. I disagree. I have paint on my skin, the ends of the nails are still jagged, and theres a chunk of top coat missing from one nail.How Lavande didnt see this, much less care to provide better quality service in the first place, Ill never know. But for the price, youre better off elsewhere!

Its a great place to go to. Getting your nails done is the perfect place to go to.

Ive had some good experiences here, but the bad experiences are extremely disturbing. In fact, I witnessed the way they treated another customer tonight, and it was genuinely depressing. A woman had waited an hour, walked out, and then came back with tears in her eyes explaining how upset and disappointed she was that she was leaving after an hour without having gotten her nails done. The managers/owners were extremely calloused...a total lack of empathy. It was a little heartbreaking. Did I mention this happened on Mothers Day? Also, Ive seen a lack of willingness to listen and a lack of respect toward their customers with regard to things big and small, and Ive only been there four times! Regardless of the manicure (which is nothing special), those things are hard to ignore.

I used to suffer from depression until I came to this salon. My nails are so perfect now I have nothing to be sad about. Im off my meds and high on life! 💅🏼

This is my normal every two weeks treat. The staff always makes me feel welcome and tends to my needs. The location is very clean and sanitary and I have never had any issues. I highly recommend them.

They try to upsell, and if you refuse to get what they want they get pretty rude, especially the owner. She told me I was too dark to get the nail polish I wanted and brought me another color that she thought would look better. Im paying for the color I WANT, not your opinion on my skin color.
