Ive reviewed Opaline before but it has been a while and theyre so incredible, I feel the need to do it again. Kayla and Laura are amazing at what they do. Ive been seeing Kayla since I moved back to Portland for all my sugaring and facial needs and shes so great that if I end up moving to Bend, I will make the trip to continue seeing her. Not only does she do phenomenal work, shes dedicated to making you feel comfortable and getting to know you as a person. If youve been thinking about sugaring as a hair removal technique, I highly recommend Opaline!!

If I could give Opaline 10 stars, I would! Today was my first time getting a Brazilian Sugar Wax. Laura made me feel very comfortable. The sugar wax isnt hot like regular wax so its less nerve wracking. It works with your body temperature! Her place is very cute and clean. Laura is very knowledgeable as well. I learned that sugar wax is more effective than soft/hard wax because it literally wraps around the individual hairs and thoroughly pulls them out, whereas regular wax sometimes breaks off the hair, and the hair grows back faster. I also love that its all organic and not as messy as regular wax can be. Wonderful experience!

Opaline is hands down the best studio in Portland. I have been going to Laura for sugaring and facials since moving to Portland in 2017. After her facials I feel like I’ve just had a full body massage. She’s the best! Kayla also does amazing work. Ever since I started going to Kayla for my lashes I wear less makeup and save so much time getting ready for the day. I love Opaline!

When you are working towards a new skill set it is important to have a trainer who makes you feel comfortable and supported in the learning environment. I was trained by and welcomed into the studio by Laura. Training with her really helped me build confidence in myself, the technique, and the service, so I have been rockin it ever since! Thats saying a lot becausewhen I came to Laura with no experience in sugar she had to really show me the ropes!She was very knowledgeable not only in the service, but the actual sugar itself. She taught me her techniques and guided me through the process from start to finish making sure I was really catching on. She tailored to my learning style and made it comfortable to ask any of my questions. Even when I got frustrated, (it can be a sticky mess!) She reassured me and patiently pushed me forward.Now I see how important it is/was to have someone who has experienced it all herself and is detail oriented to help you through the learning process. Her personality and tips/tricks, can makes it super fun as well. Every little step counts and even as she instructs you, she really cheers you on!Ive been sugaring for 2.5 years now; I still learn from her to this day and years later, and I still notice my improvements. Its truly a rewarding service to offer. Shes inspiring, and a great instructor to learn from.

I travel from Gresham to Lauras location in The Pearl. The service I have received with the sugaring and facials has been top notch.I was nervous when I first went to see Laura for a facial after a bad experience elsewhere. She talked me through every step and allowed me to relax and enjoy the visit.The skill and professionalism Laura exhibits gave my the confidence to try some of her other services, I have had her sugar my brows and underarms and think Ill start having my legs done next.
