I had such a wonderful experience with Jacob in used cars. All i had to do was tell him my budget and A few details about what I was looking for and he found me the perfect car! I honestly have never had such a quick experience at a dealership. Eric who helped with the financing portion was extremely knowledgeable and had a clear and concise way of describing all the paperwork. Overall fantastic experience!

Sadly I was reminded today why I am not a fan of yet again of another Tonkin Dealership. I went into get advice on an issue I was having on my car and the service writer I walked up to could have been more bother with the whole thing. I learned in business school and in life is to give customer/people there respect with eye contact and just attention to the customer and the customers needs even if we dont agree. Even more so in these COVID-19 days. Well this service writer Cytia couldnt be more unhelpful. Of course she will think she was help because when she wasnt looking at her iPad, looking over my shoulder or answering questions from other conversation interrupting advisors, she was flipping with her hair and giving the yeah type of answer. All in all I would use her as an adviser if I was even forced too. Oh by the way Mr. Tonkin I walked in the door and the receptionist who looked me in the eye didnt greet me nor did any sales people as i walked back to the service are or as i walked out the door , receptionist still no goodbye or the gaggle of sales guys by my car ever greeted meas I left. Its a wonder you sell cars at all.you have reassured me as to why I drive out of my way to get Herzog-Meier 5 star customer care!

Five stars to the team at Tonkin Mazda of Portland. Purchasing a new vehicle was a delight, compared to past experiences at other dealerships. Our experience with the Sales Consultant, Tudor Fachiol, was great, with no high pressure sale, no gimmicks, honest, up-front and a great help in service, from start to finish. We appreciated that the Finance Manager was well prepared with the paperwork, prior to our appointment. All we did was read, signed, and initialed, in places marked. After some setup tips from Tudor, we drove away with our new car, with smiles. This service exceeded my expectations.

I’d been told to avoid dealerships due to bad experiences from my friends and family, but in reality, they’re as friendly as they are accommodating—at least at Tonkin Mazda. In particular, the team members who helped me acquire my new vehicle were stellar, especially Nick Freese, who was amazing from our first interaction to when I finally drove off in my new car. Will absolutely be coming back in the future.

Decent prices but with a spike in used cars (6/21) they essentially were trying to get our 2017 civic with 11k original miles for 7k UNDER wholesale prices. So do your homework or know that they will take advantage of you. Wilsonville Audi gave us a very fair deal at $22k value without inflating the Q5 they sold us. So be careful and know your #’s.

I have had nothing but positive experiences here, from when Scott Barney sold me my CX30 and never made me feel pressured but still made sure I ended up in exactly what I wanted, to every service I’ve had since. Had the pleasure to be helped by a great salesman, Leon Jones, who is very knowledgeable about the cars they sell, picked up three possibles based on my needs that I had conveyed to him and, finally, helped me select the right one. No pressure on me having to buy one. In fact I had to leave the dealership for a while to attend my grandson’s birthday and he was just fine with that. I was given a good price with all the available rebates. The paperwork went smoothly, with detailed explanations on the available services (for a price), but no pressure to get one. I had a great buying experience purchasing a used CX-5. The car that Id wanted ended up being sold to a couple that had arrived shortly prior to myself. I was able to test drive it, but found out it was sold once I returned to the dealership. But Nick Freese was able to find me another vehicle that in the end, I liked better than my original choice. Nick was also very accommodating to me changing my mind on a handful of things throughout the process. Great customer service with zero pressure. Financing with Eric Garvin was a breeze. This is a really nice establishment. The waiting area for service is very nice and has free coffee (it’s a little Starbucks machine, so it’s not terrible). The vending machines are a little pricy though.The WiFi speed is also good enough to watch Netflix on my phone while I wait. I’ve also found the service folks to be very helpful. (Thanks, Justin C!) They always run through the options and the cost with me, at which point I can decide what I want done. One nice aspect is that they take a video of your car and text you a link to watch it before talking about the options. That way, I can see exactly what they are recommending to do. Their 5 services paid up front package was also a great deal.I also wanted to note that masks are no longer required at this location (after the mandates have been lifted in Oregon.)

One of my reasons for choosing another Mazda was the excellent and conscientious service I’ve gotten from the Tonkin crew in the past. For me, Ron Tonkin Mazda is a great place for servicing my two Mazdas.. The service advisors are always upbeat and friendly. My advisor today was Gary Schweitzer. Gary was did a great job of reviewing my inspection results with me and then alerted me to maintenance needs coming up in the future.For regular servicing I usually get my car back in an hour our so; today, however, it was closer to two hours -- but the shop was busy and Gary let me know on arrival that my visit would take longer. It is nice to be informed of what is going on in advance.

What a great experience, am I allowed to say that about buying a car? Ryder is a stand up guy who I would recommend to anyone! I live in Seattle and before I could even crack a joke about delivering the car to me, Ryder volunteered to drive it 3 hours to me. I will never be back.One of my front blinkers was out. I came in and waited 90 minutes and paid $75 for them to tell me they couldnt fix it, but that I should spend $190 on a diagnostic. They took off siding doors in the interior and did not replace them.I went to my regular mechanic, who fixed it in 5 minutes and didnt want to accept any money for such a little thing. I gave HIM a big tip and Im leaving Mazda of Gladstone THIS review. Dont get ripped off - go somewhere else.

Around a week later 4 hard inquires hit my credit report, and my score has dropped significantly. I would recommend going elsewhere where the dealership will be honest and open with you.

I bought a car from this dealership, a real nightmare, the DEQ didnt pass the first time, when I came to tell them that they snatched the paper from my hands and told me that it was nothing, I did not react because my English was not very good at the time (I am from Europe) he made me buy the car by making me believe that I had obtained a loan for the car but it was false, finally they managed to make me buy the car (obliged for my work) by explaining to me wrongly that I was obliged to do it in front of the law which was wrong but I didnt know it and since that day I spent $ 2500 on repairs for a car that still doesnt run and every mechanic who saw that car said I was sold a real trash can. There are so many options for buying a used car that I kindly advise you to avoid this people.

I had my Mazda serviced at Tonkin yesterday. After a year of Covid quarantine in which I hardly drove, the car needed a good going-over. Also, during the winter, mice had gotten into the car and I knew there was some damage. My service advisor, Justin Clunas, went to take a look under the hood and then had me come and look with him. There was obvious damage, but he wanted to have the tech look further. I agreed. A couple of hours later, my car was completely serviced. I watched the video of the items they looked at and their recommendations. I am now resting easy, knowing my car has been brought up to the highest standards of safety. Everyone at Tokin Mazda was polite, professional and great at doing their jobs. Special kudos to Justin, who was so helpful and reassuring! I recommend Tonkin Mazda to anyone who needs a Mazda serviced!
