I wouldnt say it was the worst place, yeah its a sketchy neighborhood but other than that it was pretty good this place helps alot of kids and not just DCS kids but ones who have been kicked out by their parents or guardians. They do provide 3 meals a day and a small like apartment but only thing is if you want to cook something that cant be cooked by microwave you have to use the kitchen down stairs. There are a lot of rules but if you follow them to the T you will be rewarded with late night curfews.

I love the staff and other residents there

I was a teen mother who learned majority of my life skills ftom the staff of YAP. I was a client in 2003 and I often think back on living at yap. I mean they teach you the life responsibilities you will need, give you the freedom you deserve, and support you with guidence.... I am truly thankful for this agency.. They saved our life!

Another great volunteer experience!

A certain staff threatened to beat my ass and I was kicked out with 3 hours notice despite following rules of YAP. I had no place to stay for that night, and ended up last minute at a friend of a friends house.Will not recommended to anyone who is homeless and hopeless. Tumbleweed will get your hopes up and leave you back homeless and hopeless again.

Terrible place. To think they are supposed to shape the minds of our youth. Rude staff and the manager is even worse!
