I’m currently a tenant at one of their properties And I have no complaints the property manager Jasmine is very professional and made my move-in a breeze! Also The maintenance man Cas is friendly and professional at what he does I enjoy living at this property.

This company is the BEST!!!!! FIVE STARS!! They manage three of my properties out in Phoenix and while the houses are all a bit on the older side they still manage to get me the best tenants! No shortcuts with them, every time theres a problem theyre right therre to do it for me. Maybe this wont be the best company for someone who wants to be involved but if you want a hands-off way to make some income, theyre your best friend!

I literally applied this past week and within a few days janelle got back to me thanking me for applying. Unfortunately there was another applicant that got approved so i was discouraged being denied 2 times and within hours of denial I got a phone call saying the other applicant backed out if I still wanted it of course i did as I transfer jobs next week i didnt want to stay in hotels till i found something but thanks to janelle I got an opportunity to sign my lease and move in Friday thanks for all the hard work you have done to get me into my home I dont have to stress anymore

I am relocating from Boston Ma to Phoenix AZ to take care of my mom who has been diagnosed with cancer. Janelle from Goldenwest was very responsive and I was approved very fast in a two day timeframe. I submitted my application and signed my lease and paid the deposit in two days and Janelle even came into the office for me to drop off the payment on veterans day when their office was supposed to be closed. I am very grateful to have found this company and glad I took a leap of faith with applying with them. I am very happy because it has been stressful and difficult trying to find a home in such a short amount of time especially during this pandemic when the rental market is very very competitive. I am happy that when I fly back from Boston I will be able to move into my rental and have a comfortable living space where my family can visit and is close to home. I have rented from golden west for years now and they have always been so helpful. My air con went out over the weekend and Maria made sure it was done quickly. She updated me through every step and even though the owner did not approve right away she was able to send a new company that got it up and running quick.I approcaire golden west and their team and all the work they do. Ive been using GW for a few years now, and generally very pleased. The management fee is competitive and GW will even take care of getting your property listed and rented fairly quickly at a decent cost. Our property manager Janelle has been super responsive, courteous, and goes the extra mile in many cases. Shes honestly one of the big reasons we stay with GW and hope to continue to get such stellar service for many months to come!

Goldenwest makes it very easy to rent. I visited their website, viewed the house the same day. Applied on their website, uploaded my ID and paystubs and thats it. Within 10minutes, I got a call from the leasing agent to let me know my application was being processed. Move in was a breeze, the house was cleaned and ready for move in. There was one minor issue but I called the office and talked to Nellie and next day it was repaired. She was very kind and helpful. I will update the review once I deal with them further but so far so good. Overall a great company to work with.

My husband and I moved my mother into her new home in Phoenix and we had a smooth transition with the woman up front who does the leasing, Jayd. She was so friendly and professional and she answered all of my husbands questions. We had concerns when moving in but all of them were addressed in a timely manner. The home is really clean and we look forward to my mother having a nice home closer to us.

Joanne Madrid did an excellent job at helping at my brother and I. She had very good communication skills and kept us up to date with things. She was such a big help and it was such a smooth process. I would recommend working with this company they did a good job.

So far they have been good. The responsiveness isnt exactly 5 star, and without following up on some things it seems they fall through the cracks. On the contrary however, there have been several issues that were addressed immediately and that is appreciated. Moving in was pretty fluid for the most part, and they were even flexible with some of our scheduling complications on move in. All in all, understanding some of the complaints about this company on the BBB, and some of the issues other people have had with GWM, I have not had any of those issues. I believe that as long as I am responsible and respectable, I dont foresee having any issues with this company now or in the future. Please do not be discouraged by some of the online comments

Everything was fine at first. Was shown a unit, people were nice and responsive. I got my unit, but it was not cleaned (I hope the prior tenant did not get cleaning fees deducted and i sure as heck expect not to be charged on my deposit either). I work for a cleaning company so I had no issues cleaning myself but dear lord the floors and baseboards were horrible. Had some small roaches which with time, cleanliness and Roach Gel seemed to go away. A few months ago I had to be fumigated for bed bugs that had just started, thankfully it was caught right away. Its just myself in my unit, with minimal furniture so it is easy to keep clean. Washer/Dryer in complex doesnt seem to get cleaned. It is always dirty. Parking is annoying because no spaces are assigned and people do not respect the lines. I emailed about moving to a bigger home, as I am pregnant and looking for a house but my email went unanswered. I called and was told they were busy and would get back to me, no one ever did. I put in maintenance requests for a leaking ceiling almost 2 weeks ago and nothing has been fixed. Damage has spread and now my bathroom and bedroom have leakage and mold growing. Not to mention the bathroom door swelled due to water damage and cant be opened/shut. Being 8 months pregnant my biggest concern is slipping from leaking water, the ceiling falling in, or the mold being a health hazard. Also there have been letters from other tenants trying to organize against management due to bugs and all other complaints. Over all I feel like once you sign your contract the customer service and prefesionalism goes out the window. I will not be renewing or continuing with this management group.

Contacted the company for several days never had any response...I paid to view property myself! Actually liked the property called to make sure property was still available before I completing the app. The next business day I found out the property was supposedly rented to someone else all of a sudden. My app wasn’t even processed! This company has terrible communication skills; lacks morals and integrity! WILL NEVER LOOK TO EVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN!!! GOLDENWEST ONLY CARES ABOUT COLLECTING SEVERAL APP FEES ON UNAVAILABLE PROPERTIES!!!!

I have been renting for almost a year from GW and Nellie is the agent that I work with. She has been always very responsive whenever there is an issue and the items needing to be fixed get taken care of in a timely manner. She has been very helpful and I would rent from them again. She has always been very pleasant and easy to work with.

I wish I could have found a property that fit my needs with this company because the leasing staff has been nice to me and helped me look online and gave me answers. Cory gave me all the houses in my price range and when I called to ask the specific address the receptionist gave me them and even the cross roads so I knew what buses to take. It was really pleasant that they didnt get rude because I am bad at using my phone and actually helped me.

I have been living in the same apartment for over 7 years. Since the owner contracted with GoldenWest to manage the property, many things have changed. Once I got used to working with a management company, I saw that maintenance requests became more efficiently handled and I am now able to pay my rent online which saves me having to go into the office.

All of my experiences with this office have been extremely professional. Jayd at the front desk has a great work ethic and is super knowledgeable! Shes the best and most reliable person at the office to do business with.

The have always been extremely helpful, and kind. you can see that they really do care about there tenants! Especially the manager Nelly who has always been considerate and trying to help as much as she can, even by going out of her way to do so. She really does take pride in her job and it shows!

I have used Golden West as my Property Management company for the past three years. It has been an exceptionally positive experience. The team at Golden West is always exceptionally responsive to any question I may have, the house has always rented out in a couple of weeks due to their proactive advertising and efforts. Whenever there was a maintenance issue at the house, their team immediately contacted me and gave me the way forward to get it resolved for the tenant in the quickest time possible, keeping me informed throughout the process. If you are looking for a property manager in the Phoenix area I definitely recommend Golden West.

You dont need to take my word for it. Check out other Yelp reviews and the BBB which has 19 complaints regarding GoldenWest in the last 3 years, and I havent even filed mine yet. Run, dont walk away from this company.Buyer Beware. With COVID-19 rampant you would think GoldenWest would not only look out for their tenants but also the ones that pay them, the landlords. According to a letter sent out to landlords Jayson Yoss, President & Designated Broker, stated The goal is to keep cash flow coming into your pocket. A few sentences later he states, Reserve amounts will be set to a minimum of $500 in anticipation that rental payments will be reduced and may even be zero in the coming months. If Jayson was concerned about cash flow coming into our pockets, then why is he taking cash FROM our pockets? The reserves do not protect the landlord in any way. By taking money from the landlords Jayson has made it more difficult for landlords to pay the mortgage. The reserves in no way help the landlords or tenants, it only puts money into his pockets. Not only did Jayson take the money out of the landlords pockets, he also failed to provide proper notice. He sent out a notice 3 days after rent was collected. Jayson is not trustworthy. I have had a number of issues with this group which extends from Jayson to the office staff, and this is the straw that has broken the camels back.

I moved in to a property three weeks ago. I was given the standard walk thru form to have it returned in 5 days. I had it returned in 3. The house has a major leak where the water shut off is and a leak in the guest bathroom. I marked these items to be fixed amongst other items and emailed it to them as requested. I wrote them 4 emails and left 2 voicemail messages (because no one answers even during business hours). I am losing money with these leaks. I finally had to fill out a maintenance request (which you pay $60 for). The guy came and looked and stated he would need authorization from the management company since the leak is major. He called and of course had to leave a message. A different maintenance guy came for a window and told me that this management company has never returned calls in the years that he’s worked with them. Needless to say my leaks are still there and I’m still losing money everyday. I guess I’ll be hiring a lawyer after the holidays.Update:The main girl in the office that I dealt with either left or was fired or something. Whatever the case, the new staff is much, much, more responsive and helpful. I moved and had to cancel my lease early for military and I was very concerned it would not go well. They actually worked very well with me and made things smooth. I even got my deposit back that I should’ve! Thank you to the new staff! Much much better!! I added an additional three stars for a total of four. Up from the one star I gave before.

I think I dodged a Major Bullet from renting with them. I did happen to read the reviews ahead of time and my instinct told me otherwise, however I decided to at least apply. I got no real correspondence regarding the status. After contacting Marissa 4 - 5 days later, Im told Im denied... I must not have gotten the email within 60 seconds? I did a follow up and I doubt any inquiries were actually made. I feel like I just paid craps with my $35.00! I dont normally rate this way but I feel like I was just swindled. Beware folks or read the reviews carefully. They are true for the most part. I also have relatives that rent with them.

I’ve been hung up by receptionist in the front stating issues not their fault. Many messages left with no phone calls back with these issues. Never can get a hold of any one to talk to!! I called in this afternoon to view a property and spoke with what I think was an answering service who told me that I would receive a call back. I called back about an hour later and spoke with Jade about a property in Laveen and she was so helpful and helped me with the Lock box when I called back about it not working. The property wasnt exactly what I was looking for and the lock box was confusing but I really appreciated the young lady on the phone who helped me.

My husband and I moved from 2 hours away which is stressful all by itself. Our house was sold and we needed to find a place ASAP. Our representative was Lauren and she was completely professional as well as delightful to work with. She took care of all the details and made everything painless, easy AND responded immediately to all the questions that I had. Slumlords! Taking advantage of the poor and the down and out. At least thats what I think. I really only know about one of their properties., But its a dump.the office is nothing fancy but its comfortable and clean and professional. The person I worked with their was reasonably friendly and helpful. I was with a tenant who has difficulty dealing with everyday problems and she was pretty patient with him so I have to give that to them. maybe if I knew any of their other properties I might have a different opinion. In the meantime theyre slumlords. Dont recommend.

Golden West worked very hard to get 8 of my under performing units back up to speed and fully occupied in a short time. The office staff and accounting services are efficient and organized and have helped immensely in turning these complexes into the best on the block!! I am looking to move closer to downtown and applied for a home and cory made the process very easy. All the staff I dealt with were very helpful during the process.

Most of my correspondences with Lauren took place over email and phone. By the time I met her for the first time in person I felt like I knew her already. She was so attentive and informative and had an answer for every single one of my questions. I have lived many places thus far and I have never had such a great experience. Lauren also stayed after hours in the office to accommodate my schedule so we could finish up our paperwork. I feel comfortable knowing and trusting should I need anything I can count on her to see to it.

Golden West quickly found a renter for my home and charged very little fees. However, the tree in the front yard blew down because it was never trimmed during the tenants stay. GWs management of this issue was very poor. It took them almost a month to have this cleaned up, and a lot of pushing on my end to get this done for a reasonable price. There was never any mention of whose responsibility it was to maintain this tree, and who should be responsible for clean up. Basically I feel like Ive been paying them for property management, and not getting much management out of them. My tenant has also been very displeased with their customer service. I feel like for the money i pay them I should have been alerted that the tree needed to be trimmed and guided on whose responsibility it was to handle this issue before it arrived. Regardless, once the tree fell, guidance would have been appreciated. Instead what I got was a crazy expensive quote for clean up, and terrible handling of entire process.

Horrible unprofessional company. BEWAREyou have all the facts before application goes in 62$ is wasted on this company. Maybe thats what they want having a home on the market 36+ days when homes are going in 2 weeks Max. If you are self employed dont waste your time or money!!! Paid both application fees my husband makes 25$ an hour, house was 1275$ month we make more than double the rent asked. We had bank statements, checks, letters proving income, the measly 500$ a month I make, but because his income is 10-99 they wanted the taxes. His raise started in November and not documented on return yet. They wanted us to have 6 months worth of rent in the account to be approved thats 8000$. If we had that wed be trying to buy a house to own. Then when we got our denial letter it didnt even have the right names, someone elses name. Company response sorry its a template no professional skills. Just beware you have all the facts before applying.

I love GWM. I was looking for a place and they were very attentive and always answered my calls and my questions. I was kind of nervous but Joanna made everything so simple and clear for me I reccomend this management company to anyone who asks me about it. I live at an apartment complex that is now managed by Golden West and I have seen major improvements since. Joanna and Jennifer held a community gathering with food and drinks. This is the first time in the 4 years that I’ve lived here that we have had someone do something like this for us.

My husband and I have lived in a duplex managed my GoldenWest Management for two months now. So far our experience has been pretty good. The company communicates decently well and when I submitted a repair request they got back to me the same day and scheduled someone to come out the following day. So far, everything has been great.My only dislikes: it seems really behind the times that I cannot pay my bills online and the security deposit was outrageously high (1.5 x rent in addition to first months rent)Other than that, we are happy campers here.

Not personable at all. Difficult to get ahold of outside of being able to send emails to them.. Neglectful of the things that make someone a good tennent, being clean, courteous to neighbors, and always paying rent on time. Unfortunitly low bar of who they allow to rent, punishes the whole. Raise rent and change policys without notice and frequently. unwarented threats, and little in return... Do not reccomend this company unless you are desperate. Which unfortunitly I was when entering this agreement, and being a single mother have little margin to up and change housing once I have realized what I have to deal with.

Its reassuring to have them overseeing all aspects of a rental property. We cant thank the team enough for their professionalism!

Please do not waste your time. I scheduled a showing and the email said be prompt and 45 minutes later there is still nobody to show the home. Whats worse is that 2 other people were also waiting who also received confirmation emails. Their office aka call center is also no help whatsoever.
