From picking out product to delivery, Sun Valley has been a pleasure to work with. Morgan was very professional giving quotes, taking our order, and scheduling delivery. Cody, the delivery driver, communicated he was on his way, was right on time, and went above and beyond to make sure he dropped the materials exactly where we needed them. Will absolutely be ordering the next load of materials for our project from them next week. I Dropped by Sun Valley just to look at their boulders. Juan, Frank, and another gentleman were totally professional and willing to help in any way possible. Answered all my questions with a positive attitude. I only purchased 2 small rocks because they were about to close, but I will be back. Very impressed with them so far!

Justin has done a great job with my irrigation system this year. He is very knowledgeable about the products (wifi controller and app) and helped me learn how to use them.

My wife and I purchased some river from Sun Valley a few weeks and set up the time and date to be delivered. The date came and the time they said that it was supposed to delivered came and went. So my wife called and asked them about the delivery, well we were never put on the books for delivery and had no record for delivery! Anyway we got that all straightened out and with in 1 1/2 hours they finally showed up!!! As my wife and I are looking at the rock that we “ordered” we noticed it wasn’t the right rock so we get back on the phone with them and they claimed is was the right one!!!! The one that we ordered they did not have and they randomly picked a totally different color and size!!! Long story short, I will not be going back to Sun Valley Nursery!!!! On a side note were they dropped the oversized rock it damaged my driveway which is less than 2 years old! I called several times about the damage to my driveway but they never returned my calls!

We had Sun Valley replace a 130’ retaining wall. The work was done in a timely manner and the new wall looks great. Very pleased with work on the wall. We were able to resolve how one end of the wall was terminated to our satisfaction.We had communication issues with were to dump dirt from the old wall. A project foreman would have helped.We would use them again.

Their products and service has been great every time I have been there. They supplied the rock and top soil to level my back yard and mulch each spring.

We talked to several contractors for a backyard paver project. Although we decided not to do the project we wanted to share our experience with Hugh. Hugh was extremely professional, creative and detail oriented. He explained all the technical issues and was the only contractor that addressed repairing the lawn after the pavers were installed. Sun Valley would be our first choice if we decide to a landscaping project.

From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, our experience was truly exceptional. We had a fairly large DIY job of fixing our dry creek bed and we went in with an understanding of the overall objective, but little understanding of the process. Everyone who helped us was professional, kind, and willing to take the time to walk us through the process. Jeff was central to our positive experience. A natural teacher, Jeff walked us through exactly what to do and what to use. When he estimated the amount of materials wed need, I was stunned and couldnt imagine wed possibly use all of that. Now that our job is done, though, we see that everything he suggested was 100% accurate. Im grateful for the time Jeff spent with us and Im thankful we used Sun Valley.

Weve been using Sun Valley Landscaping for yard maintenance for almost ten years. Theyve done a great job taking care of our lawn and taking care of some landscaping for us. Their crew is professional, polite and thorough. I highly recommend them for your lawn care and landscaping needs. What I really love about them is that they give back to the community in the form of service projects and encouraging their employees and their clients to volunteer.

Ive used them a few times for rock deliveries and mulch deliveries in bulk. Always a great and consistent product. Deliveries were on time and the drivers and staff were always professional and friendly. I recommend them. A great place to go down and check out too. Especially for the stones and boulders.

I think Sun Valley is a top notch organization. From the point that I first spoke with Hugh, the designer, to the execution of the project they were professional in every way. Each time there was a problem they responded quickly to address. They also were very patient with my many questions that most contractors just get annoyed with. They exceeded my expectations in every way and I cant say enough words to encourage anyone else to use them for landscaping (we had a patio/firepit done).

Everyone we interacted with from the start of our project was amazing to deal with. From Hugh who gave our bid to Ira and his team who installed it. The workers who even went out of their way to bring up the trash cans one day. I couldnt ask for a better result. Heres to many nights out enjoying our firepit.

Was told over the phone crushed rock was $23 took 4 scoops and ended up with a bill of $165.. Never again!

Sun Valley just installed mulch in all my plating beds and they have never looked better! They not only re-edged them, but they cleaned out all the leaves and debris that had accumulated over the winter and put own fertilizer/weed preventative. Could not be happier! Plus they are very responsive to calls and emails, unlike most places.

Buyer be ware. I ordered 4-cubic yards of mulch to be delivered to my home $350. .Received around two-cubic yards. Called to talk to the manager, I got Ed. Ed told me he loaded 4-yards. I told Ed I ordered 2-yards last year, and it was MORE then he just delivered. Ed said he loaded 4-yards. Ed did say he would be happy to come out and pick it up for #150. Thanks Ed

The employees were very personable and helpful when I had questions concerning Landscaping

The work performed was so bad; the irrigation system broke, the outside lights fell over in the wind, the walkway is unsafe/unusable, the plants fell over and died or just died, several trees died more trees appear to be dying too, the prairie grass looked like a weed patch, the gabion walls we not properly drained nor were they finished correctly; only later did we find out Sun Valley had never installed gabion walls before, the work was never completed, and after three separate walkthroughs Paul & Hugh did nothing but walk away leaving our property a mess! We have since spent tens of thousands of dollars fixing the mess Sun Valley left. Therefore, we filed a lawsuit against Sun Valley: PAUL FRAYND and HUGH MORTON d/b/a SUN VALLEY LANDSCAPING COMPANY filed in the County Court of Douglas County, Nebraska, Case No. CI 18-1512. A 1 Star is as low as you can go, but their rating should be -10!

I had mowing service for about a month while my husband was deployed. Not only were they nearly a week late with the first mow, leaving my yard a jungle, but their quotes were incorrect. I was quoted $25 for spring clean up and I was charged $40. They claimed this was due to more work being required than initially thought. Maybe because my yard hadnt been mowed for two weeks, through no fault of my own? Also, the spring clean up was to include a hard edge around all flower beds. Not one of my flower beds, front or back yard, was hard edged. They also managed to mow down part of my rose bushes.They also neglected to include the military discount with every billing. Im not one to beg for a military discount, but hey, if youre going to offer it so I hire you over someone else, Ill take it. To not include in it every subsequent billing is careless at best or deceptive at worst.They also mowed again after our contract was up and I had hired a replacement mower, and sent me the bill, but at least they comped it when I brought this to their attention. However, they apparently didnt fix it in the system, so I just got a paper bill in the mail stating my bill is over due.Up until this point, I was annoyed, but not enough to write a review. Well, three screwed up bills later after only a month of service, I am sufficiently annoyed to write a review detailing my experience so that you might know what youre in for. Josiah was always plenty friendly on the phone and got the issues mostly dealt with, but they were issues that made me want to not work with this company any more.EDIT:After my review was posted here, Ashly (the Director of Business Development) did reach out to me to try to correct what was wrong. She offered to replace my damaged rose bush, but I declined as they are fairly large and any replacement would probably look worse than the current one that is missing a couple branches.She did state the the hard edge included in the spring clean up is only around hard surfaces like sidewalk and driveways, not flower beds. I will still say I never had the hard edge done around these in my yard either, as I dont really consider weed whacking along the edges of the sidewalk hard edging.She sent out some coupons to apologize for my billing errors, but it still took this review to have the issue looked into. Hopefully they got it figured out so it doesnt affect other customers.
