This company is too expensive and the cars are not that worthy. I picked my car at 12:30 and returned next day 3:13 and they charged me 468 dollars. That was just a day and hours that’s insane. I told the guy at the front desk and he told me it is what it is. I personally think this is not a good company to rent to. One time and the last one!!!

Absolutely shameful! Won’t rent to my son because he only has a debit card and even tried to pay for the whole thing! Dave Ramsey will hear about this. I hear you get advertising on his show. Shameful

My flight got in after closing time because of a delay, but only were they closed but wigs not honor my reservation the next day. They ended up charging me about $200 more. Im livid, would give 0 stars if I could.

One of the worst I had a reservation and it says a long as you have a return flight you can use a debit card. I get there they want to run a credit check then charge you $15 to do a credit check then the lady was really rude was very unhelpful not even friendly at all very rude i was coming from denver co for my daughter basketball tournament. I was upset cause I almost didnt have a car to get around. Good thing Avis rent a car was there and friendly got a car in 5 min with Avis rent a car showed them my return flight .was cheaper n more professional n friendly wont be back to dollar or thrifty they one in the same very rude. Ill go to Avis where they help they customers. Learn how to help ppl n be kind.

Not too awesome because airport taxes are bad.

We were given the best car option and prices. We had excellent Customer Service. We picked up a very clean Chrysler 200, brought it back and we were treated so well by all our contacts with this company. No Problems during any part of this experience. I Highly recommend this company for a stress free car rental.

I have a business that we continually need vehicles for and this specific rental agencies is always deceptive and adds on additional costs. They also tend to put you on hold and NEVER come back. Poor business practice which explains the low stars from just 36 reviews......

BEWARE!My wife rented a car recently and after turning in the car less than an hour late, she was charged an extra 110 dollars on a 75 dollar rental (44$ for an extra hour and 76$ in extra mandatory airport taxes). My wife left shaking after she was treated so poorly so I called the agent at the airport and the exact same thing happened to me. I tried to walk through with the agent the charges and she could not explain them. She basically told me it is what it is.I called the national Dollar customer service and they said that this was a PRIVATELY OWNED location and that they can charge you WHATEVER THEY WANT. Dollar could not do anything about it nor explain the charges. As far as I am concerned, this is a full on scam operation.

Called 2 hours after dropping off my rental in hopes of getting my sunglasses back. Never happened. They dont make the best attempts at retrieving your property for you if you leave it in the car so be aware. Who knows what happened or who has them now but Dollar definitely didnt go out of their way in the slightest to help get them back to me!

False Advertising and Falsifying Location. When you google search this place in Omaha it says it has 2 locations, one is at the airport and the other is at the Marriott Courtyard. When I contacted the airport location, rep that answered the phone was very rude and said she did not know why the Google search comes up with the Marriott location since the airport location is the only location for them. Website also mentions that if you book within 24 hours online you can use a debit card which is COMPLETELY FALSE! Rep told me that you cannot rent with a debit card if you have a local drivers license and would need travel confirmation itinerary out of state in order to rent with debit card which is totally the complete OPPOSITE of what is in plain text under their policies for renting with a debit card. Please stay clear away from this rental company as it seems the left and the right hand are not in communication with ANY functioning brain within that company. I wonder if the CFPB could do anything about this? Anywho, this company has wasted my precious time booking a car rental 24 hours in advance like the POLICY says to and the rep read the fine print that you cant see ANYWHERE on the companys website. If you are a rep about to respond to this post, PLEASE do not bother, youre rental company is COMPLETE TRASH, and should be reported to consumer watch groups for your shady business practices and false statements in your company policies.

Picking up the rental was fine, dropping off the rental was confusing. After reviewing what they billed me, they charged $60 for the last day even though online I was quoted $15/day. The rental agent I spoke to on the phone was not helpful at all. On top of that a ton of fees and ridiculous taxes, no transparency on what you’re actually going to pay. Will never rent from Dollar again.

DONT TAKE YOUR LIFE IN YOUR HANDS WITH THIS COMPANY! DEATH TRAP CAR RENTAL! I had to get my rental car towed when it snowed due to bald tires! Other cars were driving past me with no problems. This company has no regard for their customers. The staff have no power to help customers with problems. I brought the car back early & was charged extra! I was supposed to leave without the corrected receipt & trust they would fix it. Right, that wouldve happened...They should not have charged me at all and even with an early return I ended up paying as much as the full three days because of hourly charges. RIP OFF, I FEEL SCAMMED. Never again.

Hey, if want to drive a garbage pit rent one from Dollar, if you want to read personal info about the last 4 people who rented your car then rent from Dollar. If you want to drive a car with a cracked windshield drive a dollar rental car. If you want a no care attitude from a car rental agency rent a car from Dollar. Paid over $400 to drive to my grandsons funeral with a cracked windshield, and 4 previous renters of the cars personal information still in the car including RX drugs. SINCE, i have all their personal info Im going to call each one and let them know what we found. Thank you Dollar rent a Car!

Was stranded at 1:30 in the morning with a 6 year old because of a delayed flight. I had a vehicle reserved and everything. Showed up to pick up my vehicle and they were closed. Thank goodness Hertz was open until the ladt flight came in. Never again will I rent through Dollar

Said unlimited all over rental estimate. When I went to pick up they said “read the fine print”. Really shouldn’t advertise unlimited unless it is truly unlimited. CSA was not very friendly either. Very short and rude.

Helpful, explained fees. A bit inconvenient as the location is offsite from the airport and it wasnt clear to us that you have to call for the shuttle bus when you are ready, then wait at a particular spot on the island outside the airport. But we figured it out by asking around.

Customer service agent was not very friendly. The government gives their employees coupons for upgrades, the CSA very bluntly told me she didnt have anything to upgrade me to. She gave me a 2017 old vehicle. I hate the government uses this company just because they have the lowest price but horrible vehicles and customer service. Professionalism missing!

Huge ripoff! AAA should drop them for false advertising. In addition, 2 addresses are on the Google search. 101 S 10th St. IS NOT A DOLLAR CAR RENTAL. I had uber driver take me there, and wasted my time and money. It is a Marriott hotel, I went in thinking hm, this is smart, rent a car at your hotel. But no Dollar Rental is not smart. The internet and Dollar Rental has it wrong.I needed a car because Nebraska is flooded and my car was a casualty. I went to airport to get car, and when I picked it up, it was not clean. A candy wrapper on the drivers seat and dirt all over. I took pictures. Ill post them if this site will let me.The AAA price that I was quoted was wrong. As the counter person told me I would get 30.00 back when I returned the car? Ive never seen that before? I will add to this review if anything improves or gets worse.It got worse. The DOLLAR CAR RENTAL added so many fees on top of fees. AAA quoted and I have printout for 119.00. DOLLAR charged my card 267.00!!!

They charged/held $250 upfront using a major credit card go figure and thats a problem and charged me $6 for upgrade which was suppose to be $5...also all the taxes for renting at airport wer more than the car rental which Im not sure if they just making up some of them. When I returned the car the aisle to return was confusing...people outside for all others , dollar/thrifty was in the shed ...just not the best experience I had with car rental by far...my rental with Alamo was much better in Omaha

Crappy crappy situation and service. Booked a car at 11:30pm on a Sunday. Flight was delayed so I didnt get in until after midnight. They were closed! So I had to stand out in the cold and wait for a cab. I make it back in the am to get the car and this rude agent tells me they wont honor my rate because now its a Monday. She tells me I should have read all the fine print when I signed up. Sad.

The worst experience we have ever had. We were quoted a price of 285 online for a full size vehicle similar to a Ford Taurus. They gave us a Hyundai elantra which is a compact car. The car seat couldnt fit without having the drivers seat up against the steering wheel so we asked for a full size car like what we paid for. We were given a jeep renegade which is a compact suv with barely enough room for a car seat, two suitcases, and a stroller. Still not the same as a full size car so this is why they give lower quotes.We took the car because they would charge us more for any other vehicle which they claim as premium cars but other rental companies use the same cars as full size. This is false advertising.After we leave I checked the receipt to find the phone number to call back and see if there were other locations I noticed the receipt showed 100 dollars more than what I was quoted online. I called and asked why and he stated we were getting charged an extra day if we didnt have the car back by 11am on day 5 even though we paid a weekly rate. We get to the airport and the Jessica the manager stated that was wrong information but didnt do anything to help. They charged me a different rate than I was quoted. We were at the airport 4 hours early because we didnt want to get charged 100 dollars and they wouldnt do anything to help us get the car back for a few hours without charging more. We couldnt check our bags in because we were so early before our flight.Incorrect pricing, false advertising on the vehicle you are renting, and horrible customer experience is why we will never do business with dollar ever again.

No verbal communication of a deposit being put on my credit card, deposit was $200 higher than what was posted on the paperwork. Almost charged about $40 more than the agreed upon price from online booking. After discussion price was reduced $20 but still $20 more than agreed upon. Unhelpful manager said that the fees posted on Expedia were not accurate even though Expedia clearly states that all mandatory taxes and fees are included. Will not return. They will try and gouge you. Oh and salesman lied saying its cheaper to bring back the car empty (gas) neglecting to mention extra charges.

This was one of the worst experiences with a car rental place we have had. We used an internet rate of $167.67 . When I tried to give the associate the paperwork with the internet rate h said the didnt need it and now I know why he did that. They were deceiving us with these hidden charges which brought the total up to $218.71 which he didnt even go over with us. No other car rental place has ever done that. What ever we were quoted on the internet is what the price was. This was a scam in my opinion and they should be reported for this.I would also like to add the car we rental was terrible. It was one of the cheapest and unsafe vehicles we have rented. The seat belts did not work and the maintenance light was illuminated . It also appeared like it was not one of the newer updated models.I feel we were scammed and we will never rent with them again.

I rented a car from them and returned it full of gas. They then charged my credit card for $16.56 claiming it was not filled up.

Never ever rent from dollar rental workers were rude and they charge you way over the internet price they charged me a extra 75.00
