After using Hertz car rental for many years we have not been happy with them lately. Their pricing has went up by just too much. Other car rental companys ate much lower. Also because we chose not to have a credit card but only use a debit card they want to reserve $500 on our account. I feel that is way to much.

Rent from another company when in Omaha. This is a privately owned Hertz. They dont let Gold, 5-Star, Presidential Circle just go get cars. You always have to wait in line. Cant even extend your rental without waiting in this line. Cant do it be calling Hertz. Hertz corp.....this is not a good representation of your Brand, at all.

Love the new car rental garage at Eppley. Hertz needs to put a sign up to inform Gold members that they can go directly to the garage so they dont have to wait in line. I asked the clerk if I could go straight down to the garage if I already had a reservation and he said yes. A couple of people that were standing in line followed us down. There are places to sit in the rental car area and there are walls of windows so there are plenty of things to look at while you wait. There is a see through floor area over by the rest rooms that has an industrial glass that you can walk on and see the cars driving below. The walk to the cars is enclosed now which will be nice in the winter.

We spoke to someone personally and rented a car. We went straight to the car and when we attempted to leave the lot at 900 pm no one was at the booth. We then had to return and rent from enterprise which was very helpful. We are gold members and this is a frequent occurrence. Never again hertz

Dont rent from here. I rent 50+ cars a year for my job and this is the worst agency Ive ever dealt with. They are privately owned so you cant change reservations through hertz. You have to contact them directly which you cant do because there phones arent currently hooked up.

Our son and his family were coming to visit us for Christmas. They were scheduled to land in Minneapolis but at the last minute their flight was cancelled due o weather. They decided to fly to Omaha, rent a car and drive to Minneapolis. I called Hertz and was able to reserve a car for them. I spoke with Anna at the front desk who was amazing at helping our kids connect with their car rental, infant seat, etc. Ive been in the Hertz frequent user program for a couple of decades and have found their service to be exceptional. But Annas concern and efforts to help weary travelers was the best Ive ever seen. Thanks Anna!

Worst experience ever.There is no Hertz Gold Standard Clean seal on the car I got, or any car in the lot.They try to prevent you from getting upgrades, and told me that a first time PC member cannot get upgrades and pick car from PC lot.Well, then the Camry they gave me had brake issues and was shaking crazy when we brake on the highway. They need to MAINTAIN their cars and TRAIN their employees.

I’m not usually one to leave a bad review. Let me tell you a story.. it is Christmas Eve, I’m 10 minutes out of Omaha (still 80 miles from home), and my tire blows. I actually noticed 5 minutes away from the airport that it was deteriorating in air... the fact, I’m perplexed that you guys were not more cautious. I was stranded in 3 degree weather with nothing insight. Luckily my sister in law came and picked me up (an hour away)... I’m simply disappointed.

If you value your time and money, DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. Its a Hertz wolf in sheeps clothing. This is a franchise location that charged me an additional $210 over my rental amount that I paid in advance, PLUS an additional $500 stating that my reservation didnt indicate a one way drop off when clearly it did. When contacting Hertz, they couldnt locate my reservation or assist since this is a franchise. When I call the Omaha location, their phones are disconnected. When I dropped off the car in Kansas City, I had to wait for 30 minutes for them to contact this location because of its franchise status of which they didnt answer then! I finally just took a picture of my invoice and left! This is not a Hertz, or a reputable business for that matter. I dont know how they havent lost their franchise status at this point.

The gentleman at the counter was rude and didnt bother to ask my needs in my rental then after putting me in a car that wasnt fit for my family he didnt come inspect the car for damage or document the damage that was already done. I will not rent anything from Hertz!

Inadequately staffed, and high mileage cars. Previous rental had 45k on it. Unbelievable, yet they are improving. Rental today only 5000mi.This is not a corporate location, so receipts will look different, no familiar yellow jackets, etc

Very impressed by the courteousness from Donna who called me the day after I made a reservation to let me know that the branch would be closed by my scheduled pickup time but helped me find another rental company that would be open. I appreciated that she took the time to help me even though it turned out I wouldnt be able to rent from them. It was very thoughtful and helpful.

The staff is friendly and was efficient checking me in, but the location is probably the worst hertz Ive ever seen. All outdoors and for all practical purposes, uncovered. The office is a mobile-home and you spend a lot of time walking in the snow and waiting for the shuttle.It looks like theyre building a new rental center, but it wont be open until 2019, so expect another winter at this facility.

I had a great experience picking up and returning my rental vehicle. The staff was very nice and helpful. I pick up my vehicle after midnight and received extremely good customer service despite the late hour. When I returned my vehicle I left an item in the car. When I returned to retrieve it the agents went out of their way to help me.

I gave them a 2 only because the car didnt break down so we safely got to and from our destination. I didnt do anything more than a 2 because of our experience with customer service, the cost, and the fact that they didnt clean the car... At all. We flew in and we were really ready to get out of the planes and airport. We got to the counter with our luggage and found that we then had to go to another area to find a worker to get a car. She wasnt at that one either but she came to us by then. We had already paid for the rental when we reserved it but then we got to pay the deposit and the add ons. In the end it cost twice what we expected. We realized that they didnt clean or sanitize the car when we found someone elses chew tobacco and receipts in the car. They offered us a discount on our next rental but there wont be another rental with them ever.

The employees were great and very nice. My family and I had our flights cancelled, therefore we were renting another car again. We were told that we could get in a nicer car for the same price. So we paid the upgrade and then went to go out and was being charged more than expected. The employee was confused and she called her manager. The manager came down to where we were parked and was completely rude. Said with a sigh “Sorry I CAN NOT let you take this car, so what you need to do is back up and go park and you need to take the car that was assigned to you.” Overall great service from the employees but the managers customer service was uncalled for.

Worst experience ever. Had my reservation made over a week in advance. I left OKC and arrived in Omaha. Went to pick up the car and gave them the info and my license along with my bank card. They proceed to tell me that I have to have a credit card. I can’t use my bank account that has enough money to cover the entire car. They never said this once to me when I reserved the car. I will never use them again. They also want to run a credit check. I’ll use enterprise fro here on out. I have never had a issue with them. P.s...the service sucks!!!!!

Hertz completely screwed me over the morning I was supposed to pick up my rental. I called ahead to reserve my car and was quoted $130 or so but when I arrived I was told it was going to be $350. The woman assisting me was incredibly unhelpful and was extremely rude about the entire process. I walked over to the Enterprise booth and Connor was amazing. He was able to beat my original quote and was super understanding of my situation and made sure that I got taken care of. Ill be taking all of my business to Connor at Enterprise from now on.

This Hertz Rent A Car was so helpful. We actually reserved a car at another place and they did not even hold it for us. Our car was gone when we got there. The young woman at the counter was fantastic! She helped us get the car we needed while managing the entire space. I wish I could remember her name. I think it was Marti, but I am not sure. Kudos to the young woman who helped us in Omaha on Thursday afternoon/early evening.

Fraudulent. I have a confirmation of my rental for $180 less than I was charged--no tolls, fuel charges, etc. Just the base rate. I called their 800 number to dispute, but the kind customer support folks have a checklist and were pretty useless. I was put on hold multiple times, just for them to come back onto the phone and recite what was on the incorrect bill in front of me. I have the itemized reservation confirmation at $180 less than the final bill and they could care less. I travel 5-10 business days a month and this is the second time Ive rented from Hertz. Itll also be the last.

We called the office looking for 1-2 passenger vans, and were told that there were 3 available for rental... only we took a 20 minute Uber ride there, to find out that there were no vans available... then the “manager” proceeds to have an attitude with us, like it was us that screwed up!!!Thanks, but no thanks Hertz... Flew into Eppley Field on a Saturday morning and used my Gold membership to reserve a week or so ahead. I took a low-cost option to take the Managers Special, just to see what theyd give me. I arrived, checked-in at their small office and was cordially greeted and then directed to the space the car was located in. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very nice, plain, white Corolla sedan waiting for me.The car was clean and well-optioned though rather plain. It returned a very respectable 39mpg overall trip mileage and was a mostly uneventful driving experience. As I was going into farm country, the car was driven on a mix of interstate, highways and dirt/gravel. It got very dirty on the outside, muddy and was returned to Hertz without any trouble. No charges for cleaning, or anything else.I was quite pleased with this rental facility and would not hesitate to rent from them again.

Terrible experience. Only redeeming quality was Kira at the end in Omaha. Story goes: I prepaid days before. Called in about reserving a specific car. Galnon phone cut me off and said we dont do that. But she seen I prepaid. Came to a Guy (redish hair) upstairs on 2nd floor, didnt want to answer questions about me upgrading. Really had a terrible attitude. Told me to just pick a car, drive off and then find out the cost at gate! That was no good for me! He finally rolled his eyes and checked on some cars. I could tell he worked cust service for awhile. He really knew his codes etc. He asked to see my DL and CC. He then swiped my cc even though I prepaid. Add $964 plus the $300 already pre-paid.The cost of an Escalade for 5 days. I got home and noticed my account. Imdtly called customer service and spoke with them as I loaded my rental. Held for 45 mins and then 30 more to find out what caused the issue. On the road, half way to Denver the engine light came on for oil service. Another 2 hrs on phone with roadside at midnight. They said they entered notes. Next day made it to Denver international Hertz to swap cars. Another 2 hrs because the car they wanted to give us was either a much smaller front WD or a rear wheel drive. We had an AWD initially and I wanted an AWD. We were going skiing! RWD was not an option. Anyways, ended up getting a nice truck from Colorado Hertz with some hassling. DEN Bonnie was amazing! So was Steven, in the end. Both agents had amazing customer service skills and put OMA to shame (except for Kira). I received a voucher from her for the hassle. I am very upset with the initial 900+ taken and his negative reaction to my request for info.

When I flew in, the key and rental packet were waiting for me (as was the car). I was driving out in less than a minute. Drop-off was very simple, too. Followed the signs and an attendant was there at 4:45 am. He gave me a receipt and I was headed for check-in for my flight. Simple and convenient. Great!!!

The manager Courtney employs uneducated people who make guarantees that are not upheld according to corperate expectation and policy. Customer service was great! First vehicle was perfect on gas, being a hybrid was a challenge, only because I had never driven one before. After I got the hang of it, it was a great experience. Second vehicle I rented was not in good shape, It had a horrible smell in it that made it difficult to breathe!

The guys who work in this office are crooks. Even though it was clearly stated on my agreement that I would be returning the car on a Saturday, they didnt tell me that because they were closed I would actually be charged for the car until Monday. They explained to me about the drop box and everything but never had the courtesy to say, you know if you return it when we are closed you are charged until we are open. Watch out for these guys, they are shady.

Ive been to this location twice now. The first time I waited for 45 min just to check in because one of the workers was chatting it up with the customer for that long and I was second in line. At a normal hour I may have been more understanding; however it was midnight and I just wanted my car. This time I was hoping to be first in line to get my car. Well I was but there was no worker at the counter. The only company with no worker at the counter. I would have gladly cancelled my reservation and booked with someone else but its a company reservation so I cant. Waited for over fifteen min with nothing. I finally got on the rental car shuttle to hope that the people at the other end are there.

Booked a car online months in advance. They gave me a great quote and I was so excited. They failed to mention a $200 deposit for a $112 rental. I had no money left for my trip. They said it would be returned to my card when I returned the car. They, again, failed to mention that it would take 3-5 more business days before it was reflected on my card.Im sure this was all under the terms and conditions however when you are asking for a $200 deposit, it should be made very clear. Not everyone has that much lying around.

10 days since I returned vehicle and full charge processed on my debit card. Separate authorization on debit card for drop at different airport still remains pending and Hertz will not assist in canceling that authorization. I was told during authorization that charges would be dropped a few days after car was returned and original charge processed. This has not happened and it is unlikely that I will have access to those funds for up to 30 days.

Warning - Hertz or the Omaha Employees - Gas Refuel Scam.May 19, 2016, I refueled the rental vehicle, 1/8 mile from the terminal, at Phillips 66 Station, just south of the airport terminal. The fuel gauge was completely full and I told the hertz Attendant that I had just refueled, he asked for a receipt for the gas. I found the gas receipt in the car and gave it to the Attendant. When I got my Invoice E-Mailed to me, it had a $13.99 Refuel Fee listed upon return. Looks like someone is either filling their own gas tanks or the management is scamming. Be Warned and watch your bill. I will be protesting via American Express.

Run away now! As a first and last time customer of Hertz, this was an awful experience from the front staff, management, and car experience. Both cars I rented smelled awful, struggled to turn on, and were not clean when I took possession. I found wrappers and someones sunglasses in the back seat. And I drove off with a nail in the back tire and returned it only to pay $38 for the nail that had already come with the tire. Crystal was the manager and became aggressive and frustrated at my questions and didnt set an example for her employees. These folks are not professional and customer service is the least of their concern. In my extensive experience in traveling, I got better service in developing countries.

They charged us for gas while we returned the car with full tank and they charged us for extra 2 days ???? While it was rented for 24 hours and we have proof from the drop off place . Do not go to this place. Expedia booked me a rental car at the airport. Apparently, expedia changed the reservation to a location out in western Omaha. Instead of calling around to find me a closer rental vehicle, the corpulent lady just told me to go back to the terminal, pay for a cab and figure it out on my own. I will never rent from the sh** show again. Horrible service. I travel monthly and typically use Alamo or Enterprise. I will not rent from Hertz Donut every again.

Tylor and Michael are awesome!!! I have to include Dean too even though he just transferred to Bellevue. They are all friendly and provide great service. I am an annoying customer by contacting them at last minute notice that I need a car and constantly changing my return dates. Never fear as they are always accommodating. Once I was there for almost two hours because my bank messed up and my card was declined when they ran it. Dean worked with my bank in between customers and the phone until it was fixed. He was there by himself, and busy, but was very patient through it all. This team rocks!!! Thank you Dean, Tylor and Michael!!! You guys make renting a car nice and easy!

I tried to reserve a mid-sized SUV through my USAA discount for a Wednesday through Monday. The website said $217 and with taxes and fees came out to be $252. I put all my info in and check all the I agree boxes and hit the submit payment option. I was then brought to a screen that showed a receipt with a $350 charge on it. I wasnt sure if this was what it wouldve been without my discount so I checked my bank and sure enough, $350 was charged. I immediately called customer support and Vivian said that since she couldnt find a rate of $252 when she did the same search as i did she could not do anything to help except cancel the reservation. I will definitely not try to reserve a rental at hertz again. It is one thing to add fees and taxes to the payment screen before you pay, it is another to charge your card $100 extra without any explanation.

Terrible, dangerous Hertz rental experience. Last month I reserved a Hertz “Compact/Nissan Versa or similar” to be picked up at the Omaha Airport. The reservation was for a week and made through the Home Depot Corporate site.My trip was round-trip from Omaha, NE to Columbus OH, approx. 1800+ miles (plus construction detours). When I arrived to pick up the car, I was the only person at the kiosk. There was no line. The young woman behind the Hertz desk asked me if I was a Hertz Gold member and I said no. I was in the past, but I was in a hurry. She then informed me that if a Gold Member arrived she would stop my transaction midway and I would need to step aside while she helped them first. There was another Hertz employee next to her in the kiosk.She told me that I had been “upgraded” to a midsize car. She handed me the rental agreement for almost twice the cost of my reserved rate. I said, no this is far more than agreed, and she then offered me a Camry for approx. $100 more than the original quote. I didn’t want to pay more in rental and gas and said the reserved “Compact” was fine. I told her I was driving to Columbus, OH.She then told me the only available “Compact” car was a Toyota Yaris. I wasn’t familiar with the model and I said fine to speed up the transaction before a Gold Member showed up to interrupt my rental. Her entire communication felt like a rehearsed, sleazy, bait and switch routine.Toyota, Edmunds, Consumer Reports, Car & Driver, Car Gurus, ALL consider this a SUB-COMPACT, and it is designed for city driving not open road. Apparently, only Hertz considers this a “Compact/Nissan Versa or similar”.The wind was very strong across the flat Plains and caused the car to feel like it was being pushed left into the next lane (despite my death grip on the wheel) for the entire trip paired with road construction for about 80-90% of the distance. This phenomenon is described in some Yaris reviews. I was so frightened that I called Hertz Roadside Assistance from Ohio to see if I could switch cars to return to Omaha. There was nothing available and it would have cost me a fortune anyway. The wind was so strong on the way home I had to stop for another night in a hotel because I couldn’t drive faster than 55-60 mph. I felt very lucky to have made it home alive.Also, the entire back seat was visibly filthy with stains. I have photos. I covered it with towels before I could put anything on it. That Omaha Hertz Rep’s routine would be more expected at a fly-by-night, corner used car lot. Worst car rental experience EVER.

Thieves!!! I forgot some items in the center console of my car. I returned 10 minutes later to retrieve them and they claimed they could not find them. They would not even take me to the vehicle to look for myself. Horrible customer service and dishonest employees.
