This is my first time to rent from Budget. I’ll be honest, I’m saying the only reason why I rented here, is because many of the other ones were booked. I’m glad they were. The desk clerk, Vicky, was an absolute delight! Very friendly, and conversive as she got my paperwork ready. It was swift and I had no trouble checking the vehicle out and driving off. The car was a treat and I had no problem with it. Returning the car, was a piece of cake as well, and again, Vicky was superb!! If and when I’m back, I’ll be using Budget again because of your customer service. Thank you!

(Reposted from another location so more people see it)I had a rented a car for a few days about two weeks ago from the dodge location; something came up so I called to cancel it. Per the policy, there is $150 fee deducted from the total, which I was okay with and understood. The associate I had spoken to said your reservation is cancelled and you will see your refund in 3-10 business days. Come Monday (10 business days) still no refund.I called the corporate number today after being directed there. After waiting for an hour I finally spoke to someone in regards to the situation, seeking my refund (a lot of money). She told me there is no proof or notes of the cancellation and that she would take it up with her supervisor. She also noted she could not assure a refund, even though I had called within a 24 hour period of the pick up time and date.I may get a letter in the mail or something? The connection was spotty and she spoke broken English.Either way, Im at a loss for words in the way this has been handled.DO NOT rent from Budget if you dont want your money stolen. Bunch of swindlers.P.S. The email they provided me to reach out to them about this issue does not exist.

I had a terrible experience with Budget. Originally, had booked well in advance the rental. Our flight plan had changed and let Budget know the new flight number and time arriving. The first customer rep changed the flight number but forgot to change the time arriving.Called and was put on hold, told customer rep what happened and needed to have correct time put in. He told me pricing went up and told him that it was the companys fault for not having it right the first time. He hung up on me. Called again and got a supervisor. Told me to take it up with their customer relations team. I asked him to check the backlog of the calls I made. He said they only keep the last two calls.Enough is enough!!! I canceled my rental and went with a reputable rental car company. Beware of Budget!!!.

Definitely not a consumer centric business... weird policies in place about speed limits, tire tread, and worst of all, prepaid fuel. If you have to choose Budget, dont prepay fuel. Unused fuel is not reimbursed. Great way to scrape more money out of the already overpriced rental.

They were great to work with, gave us the option of taking the car that just came in as is, or waiting 20 minutes for them to clean it up. We werent in a hurry so we waited and 20 minutes later drove off in a clean car!

Upon approaching the front desk the lady had a terrible attitude and the first she said was not a greeting but “Why would they let you rent a car this late”. She pulled down her mask to speak which I found extremely pointless. I prepaid using Apple Pay and she told me that this form of payment was not accepted. I expressed that it was already paid for and she rolled her eyes at me and started slamming stuff around. I asked, “are you okay? Have you had a rough day” and she replied, “Nope! I’ve worked here ten years and just trying to do my job” So I suppose the 2 star reviews make sense if that’s been the customer service associate for 10 years. Every problems she came up with I found a solution She told me I needed a different card and I supplied a debit card. She told me they didn’t take debit, I supplied a credit card. She told me they only had a challenger left. I said that was fine, I’ll drive whatever. After slamming a few more papers around and a few more eye rolls she hands me a cancellation slip and says “this is not going to work. You need to cancel your reservation. This card didn’t go through”. I get a notification any time my card is swiped. She did not try the card. I will no longer be renting from budget rentals and I advice everyone to stay far from this troll as she will ruin your vacation travel plans out of the convenience of her miserableness.

Rented a 2021 BMW X3 SUV during the horrible cold weather in Omaha 2 weeks ago. 2 inches of snow made this car too dangerous to drive. Summer 21 tires on this AWD SUV was a sled in the snow. I returned the car early because I was literally sliding down roads, unable to use the breaks because the tires slid all over in 2 inches of snow. I literally thought I would be T-boned unable to stop heading down a hill because of the loss of traction into Saddle Creek. The friend I stayed with had a Honda Accord that I ended up borrowing instead because I feared for my safety. I explained all of this to the girl working on Saturday at Budget, and she said the manager would contact me on Monday to offer me some sort of refund. I informed her how unsafe this car felt for a veteran driver of snow, and that the tires were not rated for winter conditions. She let me know they just buy cars and rent them, they would not change out the tires. Its been 10 days and I have never been contacted. Disappointed that no one has at least called me. As an AmEx Platinum member that rents cars 90+ days a year, I wish I had gone through a different brand, but only Budget had an AWD SUV available.

I will never rent from budget again. They tell you one thing at the counter and then take more money out then what was quoted. Think twice before you rent from this company. Also bad customer service. The only reason I’m giving it one star is because it doesn’t give me the option to give zero stars!

Made reservations for a van. Paid online. Got to counter and they didnt have the vehicle to rent us nor anything else to offer. Now i have to wait for my money back. I wouldnt recommend using budget for your rental. Lady at the counter said this is happens all the time. No vehicles to rent but they dont prevent someone from making a reservation.Lucky for us Thrifty had what we needed and was cheaper as well.

I rented a car from Budget for 7 days from the Omaha airport in March. After I left the airport, I realized the car had a very strong cigarette smell. I thought maybe I could air the car out and the smell would go away. When I got back in the car 3 hours later, the smell remained. I called Budget and talked to a young man named Chris that was rude, and also threatened me by saying that if I had not called they would have charged me 250 for the smell. He was of no help until the end when I told him I wanted a manger. He then started to be helpful and nice and told me he would have someone named Tracy Reisis call me. Tracy Reisis called me back and was very helpful and told me to contact the manager, named Megan Dye, in the morning. Unfortunately they didn’t have any cars available for me to switch out with. I called Megan Dye the next morning and she told me she would send an email to her boss and discount the car. She told me she would call me back. I didn’t get a call back from Megan Dye. I kept the car but only drove the car one day because the smell was so strong and I had my small children with me. The car stayed parked for 6 of the 7 days. When I returned home I contacted Megan Dye and she told me again she would discount the car and call me back. Again, no call from Megan and it’s been 10 days with no discount on the car refunded to me.

Customer service may not be mandatory at this location. I made a reservation for a pick up truck but they gave me less than what i reserved even though another two of the better versions of trucks were sitting in the lot. I asked about those and the guy at the counter said that he gave me what was on the reservation. I asked if that was problem for him to transfer it to the other vehicle and apparently it was because he refused to do anything else. Thank you?

What a helpful group of people!! Christian took me in after another rental seriously dropped the ball and almost cost me my Christmas with my son. In swoops Christian and not only gets me into a better vehicle for the trip, but also got it for cheaper than the other place quoted me. 10/10 will recommend and use again. We had reserved a vehicle several weeks in advance. Flying in for Thanksgiving. We arrived late due to weather - traveling with 3 kids under 5 and it was snowing and in the teens in Omaha.The counter at the airport had no employees so I went out to the rental car facility via the shuttle (I’m a Fastbreak customer). When I arrived with my oldest son in tow, the office was closed and they had a sign instructing to go to the kiosk in the lot. I went to the kiosk and there was no one there. The kiosk instructed to call a number if no one was there, but it went back to the office at the airport where no one was working.Thankfully, there were other rental companies on the lot. I went next door to the Avis office and was told that no one from Budget had been around all day. Apparently I wasn’t the only person who had a reservation and wasn’t able to get my car.Thankfully, the lady at Avis was super helpful and very kind. She got me a reservation right away with a similar vehicle at a much cheaper rate.Be cautious when reserving from Budget at this location! They may not be there when you go to pick up your car!

Received a charge on my credit card and after placing multiple calls, learned it was due to damages I wasnt informed of. Despite having rented cars from Budget regularly over several years, I was told that the information was emailed to me. After some investigation, my email address was written wrong.This is the second instance within a matter of months that Budget has charged me for (minor) damages, with minimal notification and communication. If you plan to rent from Budget, dont... if you do, check your cars THOROUGHLY before leaving the airport. A pebble hitting your windshield or the side of car could result in being charged and not being notified or informed.

Despite being told I would be reimbursed for a prepaid trip by a budget employee, Budget would not reimburse me for an early arrival (by one day). I requested to speak with a supervisor and he was unwilling to make any type of exception stating I did not read the contract. Of course, this is true, but what he failed to understand was the error made by the company. A Budget employee explicitly told me I would be reimbursed with my early arrival. Had they explained no reimbursement would be made, I would not have turned the vehicle in early. Disappointing policy with an even more disappointing approach to customer service. Id rather spend a few extra dollars to use Enterprise, who have always treated me with fairness and have made an exception for me in the past (though I can only recall needing them to on one occasion years ago). Enterprise for the win. Hopefully you dont waste your money as I did. I am not asking anyone to agree with me; just thought I would explain what had happened to me so as to prevent it from happening to another.

HORRIBLE! Charged my credit card two days after drop off because they didnt properly check it in. Phone support was no help and rude. Two weeks later auto charged my card for addtional expenses without my concent. The follow-up to fix these was a joke with nothing but excuses and run around. It is just not that particular rental office, but the mentality of their business. I will never rent anything from Budget ever again.

I reserved a Dodge Challenger 3 months before my trip. To say I was looking forward to driving that car would be a vast understatement. When I arrived, there wasnt one available. Thats when Peyton stepped in.He first checked to see if there were any Challengers at other Budget locations in the Omaha area. There were not. Then he checked the existing rentals, and determined that two were set to be returned that evening. Peyton set me up with a Ford Expedition to get me around until one of the Challengers came back in. Since I was staying nearby, I had no issue with stopping back in. An hour and a half before I was set to go back down, Peyton took the time to call me and let me know it was there and being held for me.I wasnt happy about my reservation not being fulfilled, but an employee who goes out of his way to turn that problem into a solution, and then proactively communicates is what customer service is all about.Thank you Peyton- I had a smile on my face for 4 days straight.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. I am a Fastbreak member renting 200 days a year and this is by far the worst experience 2 weeks in a row in 17 years if traveling for business. They held $987 on credit card for $287 rental this week and $712 last week tying up funds of about $1700. 15 phone calls to correct and response was we will call you back.. nope. WILL NEVER USE THIS BUDGET LOCATION AGAIN

Horrible experience took a 300 deposit i have returned the car over 2 weeks ago and I still dont have it they told me to call my bank but i called my bank before i called them (duhhh) i work for customer service I know how this goes..my bank only had one transaction from them, them CHARGING ME. when I call this rude guy just sends me to a voicemail. DONT RENT FROM BUDGET AT EPPLEY IN OMAHA NE GO TO ENTERPRISE CHEAPER DEPOSIT AND I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES WITH GETTING MY REFUND
