We have used House of Mufflers and Brakes for a few years now. We have always been pleased with the work they have completed. We have always felt like the value of the work was good as well. They are honest and have refered us to other places for jobs they were not familiar with. Great place to get service.

Ive been going to business since 2019 they have fix my cars fast on time with good service charges and they give ride back and forth from the shop while they fix my car. These guys are great! We take our vehicles here for oil changes and most other services. Their employees are all friendly and have a wealth of knowledge and experience. Any time we have them check out a problem, they are always upfront and offer their honest opinion on what they would do and how much it will cost. A+ car service!

I recently took my car to this shop and everything from booking my appointment to picking up the car was outstanding. I purchased a used car from a dealership, ended up having to replace the muffler, and not only were they able to give me a fair quote - they also advised me how to speak to the dealership and look for altnerative solutions. The guys were extremely helpful, professional, and all around kind. I cant say enough good things and will absolutely be visiting again!

Didnt have the parts needed, and expensive! Had to wait 10 days for parts to come in.

Alan was great. Brought the vehicle in later afternoon and he checked it out right away. Ordered the part that day and the got the part in the morning and then had it ready to go before noon. Good price too!

Went for an estimate, and was surprised or should I say shocked at the estimate given to me. This is why a lot of us like to work on our own cars.

They were friendly, efficient, and straightforward. Everything I want in a mechanic. These folks didnt try to upsell me, just told me the problem and got it solved. We dropped our vehicle off end of day, and got it back before noon the next day.

Good work and honest prices. They even fixed a parking sensor, (at no charge), that got knocked out of whack when I hit a snow drift this past winter. Very impressed with this place.

The price I was quoted for was 4 (four) times more than what I paid at their competitor. Have nothing else to say about this place.

I told the general manager that I wasnt able to wear a mask because I had had surgery on both my lungs and was missing parts of my lungs and he told me to go sit in the parking lot then they offered me an oil change as compensation for their stupidity wonder if they do that to their mother or father? Pathetic

Ive been taking my cars to Alan on 89th and Maple for many years for both major and minor repairs. He and his crew do consistently great work. They are always very nice and honest. I highly recommend!

Alan and his crew are the best. They always tell you what you need and are willing to help you out if you need it. I had to leave my old car at their shop for a few days until I could get the junkyard to come pick it up and I really appreciated HoM&B being so accommodating.

Alan and the whole crew are amazing. Its hard to find a shop that you can trust. The price for service and repair is much less than you would have to pay at most shops or the dealership. Ive taken all my vehicles as well as our company vehicles there and I couldnt be happier. There is never pressure or scare tactics to try and get your money. They are very knowledgeable and let me know what I need to take care of and what I may not need done. Highly recommend them!

I wont say I was exactly pleased with. They had to do with the kids car. After seeing how bad the whole thing was. I completely understood where Allen was coming from. They did a amazing job at good price for us. So glad you guys do what you can. For all of us working class families

Took the truck into have a new exhaust put on, they put a new exhaust on for $550, and there was one pipe that they couldnt do didnt tell us and the truck was still loud, had to take it to the dealer and spend $1,000 to have it put on

They put my catalytic converter on that I brought it which was nice but they charge over $100 an hour. Thats pretty much dealership rate. Too much.

Good store guys there can get work done quickly. Have a car for a college student and they were able to get if repaired within budget.

We take all of our vehicles to this shop. We have had great service every time. They are very honest and give honest opinions when figuring out what service needs to be done. Alan is usually in the front and is great to work with and service is always prompt. I would recommend this shop to anyone. I have now sent my mom and grandmother here for service. The Prices are always good but service and the people make House of Muffler and Brakes on 85th and Maple top notch.

They fixed my muffler in less than an hour!

I took my Tahoe in today because the brakes were squeaking and to have the pads replaced, I also asked to have the tires rotated. The manager called me back to let me know that the pads were in almost new condition and that I could pick up my vehicle over the lunch hour. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, the manager handed me my key and said thank you!. No charge. WHAT?!?!!! No charge!? Honesty still exists in this industry - but you really have to dig around to find it. Im throwing my shovel away - no more digging. LOVE THIS SHOP!!!

Walked in. The guy looked at the make of my car and knew exactly what was wrong before I could try to explain it to him. Even with dropping the keys off with them all at lunch it was still finished within an hour or so. They also didnt push buying unnecessary items or services. Id recommend them to anyone I know with muffler problems!

They were able to get me in and out in about half an hour but i had to make an appointment.

My wife and I have had our cars serviced at the 90th and Maple location for several years. They are always efficient and get you in and out. I have had several more complicated issues on which I always try to get 3 quotes. House of Muffler is always in the ballpark. I have sent co-workers and friends there. I would recommend House of Muffler and Brake Total Car Care.

I believe I dealt with Alan the GM, and gave me excellent service. I didn’t not purchase a muffler/exhaust yet, but would highly recommend stopping in to get your vehicle checked out.

Just thought I would confirm what other reviewers have said already. House of muffler quoted me $1,220 for a muffler ($125 Lifetime Warranty), Reonator ($225 1 Year Warranty), and a Catalytic Converter ($870 1 Year Warranty).This was juuuuust slightly more than All-Pro Mufflers that quoted me $465 for all three items (probably the exact same parts as there isnt much choice for my car with OE). Muffler $135 Lifetime Warranty, Resonator $95 1 Year Warranty, Catalytic Converter $235 5yr 50k warranty. Less than half the price and also has better warranties.The most expensive CAT that I can buy is $350 for the premium version from an auto parts store with all the updates, and stainless 409 steel.Two stars for answering a question that I havent been able to figure out until now though.I am wondering how many people they actually get to pay over $800 for a catalytic converter with a 1 year warranty? Do they replace the entire manifold as well? That is highway robbery!

Went twice once for muffler another for tune up and both were done great, but every time I call to make an appointment the manager makes an excuse so I think hes racist. so....that is all.
