Ghent village is an amazing apartment complex to live in! We lived here for 3 years and enjoyed all the amenities and outdoor space. The leasing office staff were always promptly responsive. Maintenance took care of all needs expediently. Brittney was so helpful while we lived here and throughout our move-out process as well. I would recommend anyone who is moving in Norfolk to live here!

I lived in Ghent Village Apartments for two years while in the Norfolk area. It was a fantastic experience, and would do it again! The apartments are large, the grounds are immaculate, and the pool, clubhouse, and fitness facilities are great. Dedicated parking is a huge plus as well.Most importantly, the on site management team is outstanding! They are friendly, accessible and immediately responsive to any concerns or needs. They truly go above and beyond to make living in this community a positive experience.

Lived here for almost 3 years and loved every minute of it. Great location, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Dog friendly with a nice courtyard, and there are multiple dog parks within walking distance.

My wife and I lived in Ghent Village for two years and loved it! The grounds are well kept, the pool and gym are awesome, and more importantly, the management staff is extremely amiable and responsive. No work order took more than one business day to complete. The community is very safe and around very fun restaurant and things to do!

This has been a pleasant renting experience for me. I had absolutely zero issues with Ghent Village. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I love the fact that that you are not nickel and dime to death. What utilities you used is what you charged for. I had a minor maintenance issue that was dealt with in a timely and professional manner. My neighbors were nice and helpful and I felt safe. I highly recommend Ghent Village it is worth every penny and the peace of mind.

My family and I lived here for 6 years and cant say enough good things about Ghent Village. The grounds are immaculately kept, pool is outstanding, maintenance is quick whenever there is an issue, and the front office is outstanding! On top of all this, you really dont feel like youre in the city when youre looking out your back window, sitting on the deck, or walking around the courtyard. I highly recommend Ghent Village for short or long term needs!

The apartments are really spacious and clean. The management is really friendly,easy to work with, and very helpful. The best part is the maintenance. They are super responsive and take care of pretty much anything we need. We have lived in a number of apartment complexes in the past and the maintenance here is hands down the best weve ever seen. There is a pool, clubhouse, fitness center, and gorgeous grounds. We love it here!!!!

I love Ghent Village Apartments! The managers are amazing! They are very helpful and efficient. This is the best apartment complex that I’ve ever lived at. The apartments are clean, comfortable, and have everything you need. There is also a nice fitness center, courtyard, and pool on site! Pets are allowed. This apartment complex is a little pricey but it is worth every penny. You will be well taken care of here and will not want to leave once you move in.

Ghent village is a wonderful place to live. The only reason we are leaving is because of the military! The property is well kept and clean. Management is friendly; maintenance is knowledgeable and timely with work orders. Very pet friendly! Very quiet and would definitely recommend to anyone in the Norfolk area.

Ive been living at Ghent Village for a year now, and I have absolutely loved my time here! Its a little slice of green-space-bliss in the city. The apartments are spacious and have their own parking space which is amazing. The grounds are well kept, and I love that each apartment has a patio/balcony to let us get out and enjoy the outdoors. The amenities are wonderful, and the staff is absolutely amazing. It feels like home!

In the first week of October , 2019 I went to apply for a place to stay, I explained to them I was looking for a 3 bedroom apt and was one available and they said yes there was a three bedroom available..They showed me the apartment and I said yes I would take it, I filled out my application and paid application fee, I gave them all of my info and my familys personal info and they said it has to go to the head person and they would get back to me, they never responded, I finally reached them and found out I had to pay a balance from another rental location in order for me to move forward with my application with Ghent Village apartments, I took care of this the same day, they said I still had to wait from the head person to get back to them. A week passed by and no response, two weeks passed by and no response, three weeks passed by and no response, four weeks passed by and no response. I called them on numerous occasions and spoke to several people and they had no answers, I never received a response from the manager or supervisor, they never responded because of the color of my skin, they had no intentions of giving me and my family an apartment at Ghent village even though I explained my situation that I had to move immediately. While I was standing near the office military personal who live at Ghent saw me and gave me dirty, nasty looks, you could tell they didnt want an African American at Ghent Village. Anyone that saw me there applying for an apartment was acting as if they wanted no minorities in there apartments. African Americans need not apply for these apartments because at Ghent Village they are phony and racists. There are no minorities working in there office from the higher ups to the office they are all white. I recommend that all minorities find another apartment complex to reside instead of Ghent Village. To never have gotten a response from Ghent concerning my apartment was unprofessional, rude and discourteous. Stay away from Ghent Village Apartments. By the way the apartment looked dirty, dingy and unclean and cockroach infested. Do me a favor and keep your money in your pocket. Dont deal with the discrimination there, they are liars, phony and full of sh*t. They play you for the application fee knowing they not going to give you an apartment. Its a shame that in the the year 2019 this housing discrimination can still exist, all I can say is that in November 2020 please do not vote for Donald Trump, maybe things can get better and housing discrimination can end in places like Ghent Village apartments.

Absolutely loved living here. The floor plans are the most spacious ones in the Ghent area. They accept larger dogs and have a huge courtyard which was a huge selling point for me. The office staff and maintenance team were always friendly and quick to fix any problems. The location of the property is centrally located to the heart of Ghent and Downtown. They have work out classes and monthly resident functions which are always a good time. I loved that they offered parking close to your apartment. I would recommend this complex to anyone looking for a spacious apartment with a great management team.

I love this place! This complex had everything I needed: Off-street parking, pool, gym, and friendly staff at the desk (and I was there A LOT). The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and accommodating! Moving in was a breeze, and the place was clean when I did. Moving out was relatively easy as well. I definitely recommend living here.

I lived at this complex for a little over 3 years, and it was the best rental apartment I have ever had, I have been renting for almost 20 yrs. The staff was superb! Jordan and Britney were always very helpful and one of my favorite people to deal with. The grounds were always kept immaculate. I had the best apartment, it was on the third floor overlooking the pool. The apartment was very spacious and well kept. Pet friendly and accommodating. Its located in the middle of everything, mall, downtown, entertainment, dog parks and night life. Everything was within walking distance. If I had not bought a house, I would have stayed living here a few more years. I highly recommend this complex for anyone who is looking for a comfortable place to live.

I have lived here for three years and highly recommend Ghent Village. The landscaping is beautifully done and maintained. Fitness Center and the pool are clean and inviting. There is a good mix of young, single, married, children,and seniors--like a neighborhood. The staff are all friendly, responsive, and helpful. This is a totally pet-friendly place. Were located close to everything you need. The interior of the apartments are well-maintained with a roomy feel. I dont miss a house at all.

Ive lived in Ghent Village for a little over a year now, and I love it! My apartment is fabulous, and the few times Ive had minor maintenance issues they have been fixed immediately (same or next day)! I love having access to the pool and the gym right in my backyard. The location is perfect - close to grocery stores, coffee shops, bars, and restaurants in both Ghent and downtown Norfolk. I would definitely recommend Ghent Village to anyone looking to live in Norfolk!

I have lived here for 2 years and I couldnt have asked for a better place to live! Jordan and Brittney in the front office are super friendly and always helpful. The maintenance team is amazing, all of my calls are always taken care of same day without any problems (even when its my fault that the garbage disposal is backed up :0). All of the amenities are always clean and easy to access and the apartments themselves are great. Ill be sad when I have to leave Ghent Village but I would definitely refer anyone looking for a great location in Norfolk to live here!

Lived at Ghent Village for the past 1.5 years. Unfortunately, I had to move out, but I enjoyed my time here. Management and staff were very friendly and always available to address any of my needs or concerns (very few). Always had quick turn-around time on the few maintenance issues my roommate and I had with the apartment. Our apartment was very spacious and the landscaping was very well kept. Thank you!

Ghent Villages has been a great place to live. The staff is always available and are willing to assist if we ever have a need. When we have had need for appliance fixes (which has only happened once), the staff replied immediately and saw that the job was done so we were not inconvenienced. The facilities are always clean and the atmosphere is great!

I moved into Ghent Village after having owned a home for more than 40 years. It has been a pleasure to live here: the apartment is well kept up, the grounds are beautiful, the office and maintenance staff both friendly and competent. They have made needed repairs in a short time, and have gone beyond what I anticipated and done such things as carry in 60+ pound boxes full of bookcase components. Ghent Village is also convenient to grocery stores and such as well as within walking distance of the Harrison Opera House, the Chrysler Museum, and downtown Norfolk. The nearby neighborhood is great for daily walks. I highly recommend Ghent Village!

I was a tenant here from 2014 to 2017. This was hands down the best rental experience Ive ever had. The staff is friendly and helpful, any maintenance issues I had were quickly addressed, and the complex was attractive and well-maintained. If you are living in Norfolk, you want to live in Ghent. If you live in Ghent, you should live here.

I cant say enough great things about living in Ghent Village. The management are genuine people who care about where they work and where we live. Other places we looked, we felt like we were at a used car lot being sold on something. When we came here, we were shown the grounds from someone who truly cared about the community we have here. The spacious courtyard is perfect for kids and dogs. Neighbors are friendly. It is refreshing to see neighbors out and learn about who we live around. That is a rare commodity these days.We are able to walk or bike to our childs preschool/daycare, EVMS, restaurants, local events, the museum, etc. We enjoy the pool everyday and love the fitness classes in the gym. Weve even booked the clubhouse multiple events from big to small gatherings which makes it easy to host events with family or friends.Maintenance is always on the ball and all our items are fixed before the estimated time. They are trustworthy and respectful. Our apartment is so spacious and we feel home here. We feel safe with roving security and our alarm system that is included in our rent cost. We were very surprised and so lucky that we found a home in an apartment complex.

Solid choice in living arrangement. Excellent services provided; maintenance is quick and correct, grounds are well kept, new fitness center is beyond convenient, staff is top-notch, occasional community events, location is in walking distance to dining/shopping. Would recommend.

Just turned in paperwork to renew for another year--all the team are great: Jordan Taylor and Brittney Scalf always respond when I have questions or need their help; Alicia Lancaster cleans perfectly; and David Vesey, Aaron Davidson, and Michael Lassiter maintain my apartment and the complex wonderfully. I owned a house for over 40 years so know maintaining property and working with people takes time and effort--all the staff do so readily and graciously.

I am pleased to give 5 stars to Ghent Village Apartments. The property is well-maintained and management is very responsive. The occasional maintenance issues that arise are dealt with promptly. Both management and staff are friendly.

The management at Ghent Village Apt is excellent. My husband and I was only there for a short time but we really enjoyed our stay. Kudos to Ghent Village family.

Friendly, responsive staff, gym, gazebo, and I absolutely love my 2BR floor plan. We have abundant storage space, walk in closets, separate bathrooms, ample light, patio ... I could keep going but the point is that you wont find a better place to live Norfolk, VA.

I teach a fitness class at Ghent Village during the week. This Community is great and the amenities (fitness center, pool, yoga room,etc.) are all 5 star. The management onsite is top notch and the Residents I interact with are so sweet and fun.

Awesome staff! Theyre there to make sure you live comfortably and happily. The property is great as well.

Have lived in Ghent Village for more than a year now. Britney and Jordan (in the front office) have been absolutely fantastic. They are friendly, responsive, polite and one couldnt ask for a nicer staff to work with. They are also creative in their solutions. I fussed about how grimy a piece of the front door looked, and I think it was Jordan, thought a minute and said, here, try this, and gave me a rectangular block of treated synthetic plastic. It worked.Let me also say that GVs maintenance staff is of equally good quality - they get the job done and right away, and always leave a note telling you what they had to do to fix the problem, and there havent been very many problems.Finally, I would add that the apartments are roomy, and the grounds are absolutely lovely - with a great pool, work out room, and gazebos in which to sit in the shade while you enjoy the beautiful day. Its been a top notch experience at a most reasonable price for a great location.

All staff is good, including both managers, Jordan Smith and Brittney Scalf; Maintenance Technicians David Vesey, Aaron Davidson, and Michael Lassiter; and. the Domestic Engineer, Alicia Lancaster. The manager at Ghent Village, Jordan Smith, is especially helpful, at attending to my problems and explaining things I ask about. At this time, I want to praise the recent work of Maintenance Technicians Aaron Davidson and Michael Lassiter on September 24-25, in fixing the operation of my AC-unit. Due to the structural setup of my unit, the resolution of the problem required insight and ingenuity. They were successful in unclogging the drain and fixing the drip-sound. In addition, they explained the nature of the problem to me, and they were, altogether, very nice in interacting with me. Im very impressed with their work and their personal qualities.EDIT: I also want to commend the work done by Michael Lassiter, Aaron Davidson, and David Vesey, on Nov. 13-18, to fix the operation of my AC unit. It wasnt heating properly when the outdoor temperature became very cold. After trouble-shooting, they found that my outside AC-unit had lost a lot of Freon. They considered adding Freon to that unit, but David Vesey, the maintenance supervisor, decided that it would be more cost-effective, in the long-term, to install a new AC-unit outside, because the new unit wont leak Freon and is expected to avoid future repeated failures of the units heating ability, over the long-term; so that was done. In addition, Aaron Davidson noticed that my living-room window was letting old air in, so he caulked that window. The next night, I noticed icy air coming into my bedroom from the windows there, and I asked for those windows to be caulked; that was done right away.

This places sucks the life out of me this was the worst place to live in Norfolk
