What a find! Skillful staff with golden hands. Restored suede shoes ruined in the rain (unglued, covered in nyc dirt) in to better than new condition. I did not even know this was possible. Also Arthur and just team are very friendly and pleasant to deal with! Highly recommend!

Went to buy a pair of leather shoelace for my sneaker. Never realized finding the right color and texture that match the hide is so difficult. Arthur was really helpful and got me the best option. And .. he regaled me with his stories of Uzbekistan and it’s connection to Bollywood. I love the local stores where we actually make friends and build connections.

Artistic Shoe & Watch Repair repaired my wife’s watch as promised. But I must add a footnote.The watch, in the image below, had stopped working. Arthur, the owner of Artistic Shoe & Watch Repair, examined it; a cleaning was needed. The price was $250. I picked it up a week later. Arthur wound it in front of me and set it, perfect. Three days later, a Friday, my wife and I were going out to dinner. She was going to wear the watch. I offered to wind it. I pulled out the stem to set it. When I tried to push it back in, there was some resistance, but it popped in. I wanted to pull it back out to make sure it was fine. It went out, but it wouldn’t go not back in.That Monday, I brought it back. Arthur examined it. The stem had broken off because there was no support. There were two options: Replace the stem, $300; put in a Quartz movement so the watch would not need to be wound, $250. The watch had a Swiss movement, which I didn’t want to replace. The cleaning did not cover the stem break. It was a separate issue. I told Arthur that while I didn’t want to tell him how to do his work wouldn’t it have been better to mention that at the time of the cleaning? ‘Your stem has no support. I’d advise you have that taken care of. It will be X dollars.’I made the decision to not spend an additional $300. The watch was bought at a Sotheby’s auction in 1994. In the late 1950s, it began as a bracelet and was converted to a watch, a trend in that era. For that reason, the value was as a bracelet first. I called Sotheby’s asking if they knew of jewelers they use. I was given two in midtown.The watch’s stem was replaced for $60. My wife has worn the watch four times. It has been wound and the stem pulled out each time with no issue. I want to be clear that I am not holding Arthur responsible. The responsibility was mine for not contacting Sotheby’s first. It’s common sense to contact the place of purchase. They should be able to help.

Arthur was so helpful and friendly. He re-soled my shoes on the same day and made them look like new. They were in pretty bad shape and now they look great again! He even texted me with a picture of my shoes when they were ready. Very happy I decided to give him my business.

Recently had dropped my old clock for a conversion from a mechanical unit with a pendulum into a battery operated unit with a pendulum, the owner had did the repair nice, neat and fast. I do not have words to describe his fantastic work. It was beyond my expectations.I found the place to be professional, clean and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.

I brought in a very expensive pair of designer shoes which were missing a white pearl. They said they they would order the matching piece to replace. Instead they attached an odd grey colored material, that doesn’t match the rest of the shoe. The worst part is I paid for it, and really regret it.

I’ve taken a few designer shoes here and all of them ended up terrible.One pair of shoes the suede was totally ruined.Another pair of Prada leather sneakers, crazy glue was used on the leather, the wrong shade of white paint was used to shine them completely ruining the sneaker.Another paid the sole of the shoe was crazy glued , came off right away and was a terrible quality sole.DO NOT go if you want your shoes back in better condition.

Arthur is a watch aficionado with great customer service and is very reasonably priced. He was able to work on my Breitling when many shops in the city either turned me away or asked for a ridiculous amount. I would highly recommend.

I just used their services and that was beyond everything I used before. I used to go to the Leather Palace to fix my shoes and some travel bags. My shoes is expensive stuff. This is a pair of Louboutin. The shoe repair is perfect. Took them one our to fix the pair. The shoes look like band new, like I never repaired them before. Also they took my Louis Vuitton hand bags the other day and I got them back next day fixed and shinny. Definitely encourage to use the service. My shoes and hand bags are fixed and it is not that expensive. Happy and will use them again and again!

I was skeptical and I took my beloved italian hand made shoes there for a fix. They surpassed my expectations, they fix them the same day! (with a right tip) and the fix looks even fashionable and well done. They’re a bit pricey but they quality is top notch.

Came into this family owned shop for a zipper to be repaired on my Chanel bag and the gentleman was able to replace it in just 15-20 minutes.While emptying out the contents I discovered that there was a watch in a bag which I couldnt get repaired for at least 5 years, Arthur, the watchmaker was able to give me a quick assessment on the watch that I had lost hope could be repaired. Fortunately for me he quickly discovered what the problem was and gave me a free estimate. I had serious doubts it can be repaired because even the manufacturer had discontinued this model. I was told that the watch maker needs till the evening to locate the part and surprisingly on my return the watch was working showing the exact time and he gave me a warranty. I would most definitely recommend this place. They are amicable, honest, courteous and above all professional.

WNET IN WITH A PAIR OF annkle boots with Duratread sole (rubber compund). Arthur wanted to put a hard plastic sole on the heel. Said my sole was plastic! It is NOT plastic and boot amnufacturer (Ariat) said hard plastic tap NOT good for repair need lighter rubber Vibram replacement. Would NOT recommend for shoe repari!

Had an amazing experience!! I brought them my Jimmy Choos in horrible condition and they restored it to near pristine condition after two other shoe guys on the UES said that the heels weren’t salvageable! Furthermore, they expediated the repair so that I could bring them on my trip the next day! When they were ready, Arthur texted me, and I couldn’t believe the before and after pictures!!! Unbelievable service, truly above and beyond.

3 min and $10. I stopped in for a battery change - the jeweler was polite, changed the battery, reset the watch and didn’t scratch it. I was out again in under 3 minutes and it only cost $10.

Re-heeled my boots and fixed two watches of mine. The watches required a bit of extra work and he didnt charge me anything for the added labor. Will be returning here for future shoe and watch repairs.
