5 Stars is not enough! My husband and I used the AC Marriott Downtown to host our out-of-town guests with a room block for our wedding last weekend, and it just exceeded our expectations. Though I reached out to multiple hotels in the area when I was first looking for room blocks, Robert at the AC Marriott was hands-down the most responsive and accommodating. My guests had the most incredible rooms, and the extremely competitive rate made it possible for even my lowest-budget guests to enjoy not one, but TWO nights for the full wedding weekend. We utilized the gorgeous public Lounge space for a little get-together before the wedding, and the staff was so generous with their help in allowing us to use the space. I also personally had a room here to get ready in the day of my wedding, and it was just stunning- the view alone was showstopping. I cant recommend the AC Marriott enough, and Robert made the whole experience great.

This is an amazing hotel is a prime location of NYC. The staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful.The rooms are a good size for New York City standards. They are modern and also come with a fridge. The views from the rooms are spectacular and breathtaking with floor to ceiling windows.The gym is really good as well. It has basic cardio and weights. To use the gym, you have to show your COVID vaccination card at the front desk so they can activate that access.The second floor has a great layout of tables and chairs to hang out and do work or eat food.This location is really close to the 2/3 metro at Wall Street Station, so you can get around the city extremely easily.

The AC hotel is a great location with excellent friendly staff. The view of the water and the city was the only reason we stayed here. The price for a similar room nearby was 25% higher, the ACs deposit with a much lower $20 per night VS $100 as the standard. The valet parking was very convenient and fast, within minutes of handing the hotel my checkout notification, my car was ready. The only reason I gave the hotel a 4 star VS 5 star is the window view does not face the front of the room, only one person out of 4 in the double beds can see the water view from the bed - we still had an amazing city view even not facing the water. I will be returning - the price and lower deposit puts the AC Hotel above its neighbors.

Very happy to have found this option on Marriott App. Great location within Financial district and close to Pier Waterways, multiple subway stations and quick walk from WTC Path.Manager Max was 5 Star, very helpful, great staff all around. My 11-year-old son and I stayed with the AC Hotel on his first trip to New York and we found everything to be outstanding.The hotel is conveniently located, just a short walk to the subway and taxis seemed to always be available in front, should you choose to go that route.The rooms were very clean and well-appointed, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the staff was friendly and eager to help. We had a hiccup with housekeeping during our stay, but as soon as I brought it to the attention of the GM, Craig, he went above and beyond to ensure that the concerns were addressed and that we were happy with our stay. This is a manager that genuinely cares about his property and the experience of every guest. He’s truly a credit to the brand.We had striking views of the buildings in the surrounding financial district and of the East River from our room that were complemented by the floor to ceiling windows (my son thought this was the coolest thing ever!)If you are on the fence about staying at this hotel, I would strongly encourage you to give it a go, you will not be disappointed!

The room was the perfect size for two for the night. We had a great view of the East River and there were lots of spots along the river to hang out/eat/explore. Everything was so close! We arrived early and the front desk held our bags. The staff was also very friendly! We were very happy with our stay.

Ill start by saying Im a Marriott guy. The AC was a good hotel. Its right near the water and east side river running path. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean. Although our floors felt a little waxy. Maybe they just cleared. Our room was small but nice and thats expected for NYC. Id stay there again and felt it had a decent price for NYC.

Excellent and professional staff. My check in and check out we’re quick and easy. My hotel room was awesome! Comfortable bed and great shower! I was on the 17th floor, so I had a view of the buildings and a view of the bay.

This hotel is clean and functional. I would imagine it would be perfect for a single person who just needs to sleep, shower, and not be around their room much. There are several dining options not too far away- most are on Water St. Starbucks is right on Water St then down a couple of blocks.Now for The downsides- no housekeeping at all, no food service at all, including restaurants or room service. They’re usually pretty responsive when you need something, but not always.Basically, you’re kind of on your own.The staff is friendly, though they often seem a bit hectic.

Good hotel - very central to 9/11 downtown / Brokelyn Bridge. Good service in generalDon’t use the car valet service. They were incredibly slow to get our car back - it took 2 hrs. But in general this is a great hotel and ok for the price

Really nice staff. Very clean rooms. We usually stay near Bryant Park when we come, but opted for a room with a view of the east river. Wow, was that a great view! We also liked the convenience to the Oculus and world trade center site.

I only gave this a 2 star because I have not stayed there yet. I have PAID reservations for Dec and I cannot reach ANYONE. when I call the number it rings once then is disconnected . No one answers emails. Is there an 800 number that I cant seem to find? Please help!

Positive: I liked the friendly and welcoming environment my family and I felt from the moment we walked into the lobby.  the front desk explain my reservation and the room we were checking in, and within less 10 minutes we were in our room. Negative: Nothing at all.

I stayed here with my friend and newphew while we were in NY for a couple days and it was really nice. Im on the younger side and was looking all over to try and find a place to stay, and I really appreciated the fact that you are able to book a room starting at 18 years of age, whereas a lot of places require you to be 21. This helped us out a lot in our stay, thank you!

Convenient location and nice decoration. Big room and nice bar. But service wasn’t great and even a little rude. Housekeeping service apparently is only done with previous schedule. So beware of that. We didn’t know and after four days, our room was not cleaned, beds weren’t made, garbage wasn’t taken out, and no new soap was provided. Not a good experience at all. I understand Covid guidelines but still, after five days??!! Unbelievable. Additionally, if you need towels or soap, you have to go down to the front desk.

Spent a night here after my girlfriend took me for a trip to the city. Amazing staff and clean, modern room. Girlfriend lost a very important piece of jewelry back in the room and didn’t notice until a day later. Called the hotel they had it and also shipped it back to us under their expense. Doesn’t get better than that in my book thank you for the honest person who found it and turned it in and thank you for the amazing stay!

A friend booked this hotel last minute because they were estaying for a couple days. I met them in NY to catch up and hang out. With that said, having traveled often and stayed in numerous hotels around the world, this hotel is not meant to be a luxury getaway. It was simple + clean. No frills and the receptionist was polite but only gave us our key with very little more.My 3 star rating is based solely on 2 points. I was very surprised that the hotel does not enforce customers wearing masks while in the elevators and lobbies. The Delta variant had just started becoming apparent in NYC and I was very uncomfortable riding a tiny elevator with 5 people in it and only myself and my friend wearing a mask. The second point was amenities. I want to make clear that Im not sure if the reason there were none was because of Covid but if that was the case, a small card on the night table and in the bathroom stating that if guests required anything like soap or a toothbrush to please call the front desk.

Classic NYC size room, great in-house store options, lounge with community microwave on the second floor. Decent water-view although It was to the side. But LOCATION, LOCATION LOCATION is great, walking distance to shops, subways, the boardwalk, etc. For the price this is a wonderful option for a weekend getaway to explore the city.

This hotel is gorgeous! The room was clean, modern and spacious enough for Lower Manhattan properties. I was with my kids and we stayed on the 4th floor but even that room has a great view.The hotel has a great lobby that expands to the second floor and a roof with an awesome view of Lower Manhattan. Its really great in the evening.They dont have breakfast options due virus restrictions but there are a lot of places around where you can order whatever you want.

It was a nice clean room located in the heart of WallStreet. Room had all the basic necessities and big TV. The room I got on the 7th floor had a cramped bathroom but not bad.Front staff was friendly and generally the hotel was very clean.I would stay again if I have to.

Service was OK. Took a while to get checked in. Person at desk seemed like I was being a bother, I was just asking simple questions, when checkout was, where can I park etc.Room was clean though smelled of Marijuana. Check out was fast.

Very nice hotel right next to South Street Seaport. Rooms are clean and some have amazing views. Short walk to Pier 11 for NYC Ferry and Ferry to New Jersey and just a few blocks from the subway. Rooms are a bit small but comfortable for at most 2 people. They have a very nice bar set up and eating area on the second floor. I enjoyed my 2 night stay very much and would definitely return of staying in the area again.

Room & bathroom were nice overlooking water. Service was FAST! TV Channel options were also great. HBO & Showtime channels! Great location for restaurant & lounges. Beautiful for pictures of NY skyline from Seaport. Minutes to walk to WTC Memorial.. Made great memories this weekend. Will be back

Interior and view were nice, and hotel was clean. But one of the lamp and phone were broken and our phone wouldn’t connect to TV. We contacted the front desk and they said they’ll send ppl to fix this, but no one came.The down side is that there was no fan in the bathroom. If you leave the bathroom door open without turn on “dry” mode on air conditioner, the whole room is going to the REALLY DAMP, the floor, your cloth...

I enjoyed the easy check in and the friendly staff. However the room, specifically the bathroom left some to be desired. The toilet seat had various pubic hairs and the temperature could not be adjusted by the thermostat, try as I might.I chose to stay during a blizzard so I was looking forward to enjoying a nice cozy room, or at least one where I could adjust the temperature to my liking.So I ended up freezing in my room during one of NYC’s massive blizzards.I did enjoy the style of the bathroom, it was very modern and I enjoyed the shower a great deal. I ended up leaving the hot water on so that I could stay warm.

We had a room booked for one night. We arrived at the hotel at 1 PM to check in but we were informed that our room is not ready yet so we left our luggage at the hotel and went for sightseeing. We arrived back to the hotel at 10PM when we were informed that hotel is overbooked and they cannot provide us our room. They cancelled our room and they didn’t manage to arrange any other room/hotel. I was a diamond bonvoy member and it was a really bad customer experience as a frequent traveller. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to book this hotel…

My very first time at a hotel stay with my boyfriend this weekend could not have gone any better. Staff at the front desk was very welcoming and professional. We had an amazing time and the view from our room was beautiful! The room was small but the place was very clean and comfortable with an affordable price. Less street noise from the room was an absolute plus! As for the location, we walked around and the city had the best views near the water. We plan to come back again someday and would highly recommend anyone coming here :)

I have done a review direct to the hotel but these pop continuously pop up. My trip recently was with my children and for their first trip to NYC this hotel made. It awkward from checking to check out. Our first room was drowning in the stench of Marijuana, after the faint smell of it in the elevator. Then after letting The desk know that this was unacceptable. The move is to a new Room, but the facet fixtures in that Room were loose and toilet seat coming off so maintenance had to be called in. Trash and towels would sit in the hallway all day and the free wifi was charged to us daily. After the 4th day we saw brown stains on the curtain... plus the double room is really a single with 2 beds so small. If. You find better, just go there.

Positive: No housekeeping in a 5 night stay. Had to clear out shower train and plunge the toilet myself. There was an intake of irresponsible people some of whom did not pay. Some lacking face masks and loading multiple people on the elevator. Negative: The room was quite nice.Ample size with floor to ceiling windows.

I initially reserved a room at holiday inn express just around the corner and when I went check in they informed me the previous guests extended their stay so they didnt have room for me. I was disappointed but at least they tried to contact other nearby hotels for me.So I got transferred to ac Marriott. Its a relatively new property I was told.The room that I got had a pretty nice view of the waterfront. Standard two beds. The toiletries that they provide are korres which is pretty nice.The ac is strong, perfect for summer days.If Im picky the sink could use some cleaning. It has some orangy stain.Also, since its not carpet flooring, its a bit echoey, you could hear next door opening the doors pretty loud.But overall service was pretty good. Room was clean and tidy.$350 for a night + tax. Breakfast $25.

This hotel sits right by Times Square...the staff was very friendly from the check in process until I checked out!! My room was very nice...I mean really NICE!! My experience here was really good...i highly recommend going here for comfort, quiet and relaxation.Daniel at the front was very professional and well accommodating. The main thing that lead me to give my 3 nights stay at this hotel a 2 star review is the lack of restrictions for Covid as well as the strong smell of weed in the corridor on the 14th floor.Even though there was a sign in front of the elevators that said masks and 6 feet social distancing are mandatory, there were three instances when I saw people on the elevator and in the lobby without masks on, and the staff never mentioned anything to them.Out of the three elevators, one was completely out of service, and the other one worked on Thursday and Sunday and not on Friday and Saturday. Every time the elevator door opened, more than 6-7 people would walk in, and again, the staff members never mentioned anything to them.I felt so uncomfortable that I asked people to not walk in the elevator when they see there are already 4 people in there, and other times, I waited more than 20 minutes for an emptier elevator.I hope they can fix these issues as soon as possible because thats a huge negative point.

From my initial encounter with the front desk staff, it was apparent that staff morale is either low or customer service isn’t a quality enforced in training.I was given the wrong room.. I called down and made staff aware. I was told to come down (if you knew how slow the elevators were you’d understand). I was then given a room which DOESNT HAVE A DIRECT RIVER VIEW (be careful booking it isn’t what you think) - mind you- I called the property Before booking to confirm the king room w river view only to be told after checking into the second room that all of the rooms are equally small and that there is no direct view of the river despite the room your in.Ok so second room— tv wasn’t working properlyI called Down and asked about the wifi, I was told If it wasn’t working it was my phone and there was nothing he could do to trouble shootThe room heated slow and shut off randomly without reaching the temperature- I called downstairs to make sure I wasn’t doing something wrongThe toilet seat shifted if you sat on itThe curtain stick was on the floor next to the windowAnd did I mention- the room is very small so beware of thatSo at check on, I had 2 females family members helping me decorate the room for my boyfriend for vday and I made front desk aware that they were not here for the night only to help me- they said that was fine, we went upstairsHere’s the kicker ...Being a severe asthmatic, I bring my nebulizer humidifier and aroma therapy any time I stay outside my homeWith the heat not working I turn the hot water onThe 3 of us lay out the chocolate strawberries and bottles (no decorations) we play a card game and 2 out of us drink from a bottle of wine and the 3rd of us is 4 months pregnant so we pour her a glass of soda in a fluteWe leave so I can drive them home I come back and my key does not work and I hear beepingI go downstairs and the front desk on shift tells me I’m kicked out because I threw a party and the smoke detector indicated I was smoking drugs!I have footage on live that it was the 3 of us 1 being pregnant.There was no noise complaint, she said they went in my room while I was gone and seen bottles and food and it was steamy/Smokey air so I was smoking...There were 3 used cups 1 open bottle of wine food that wasn’t eaten because it was for my boyfriend and 3 players worth of cards on the bedIdk if a nebulizer shower steam and a humidifier can do all that but I actually had an accute attack because I walked out jacketless THATS THE KICKER!They not only ruined my weekendBut I’ve been wrongfully accusedLeft without anywhere to stay until I fly back homeThey are trying to keep my deposit and stay $I will update as I intend to speak to the manager available next shift

The hotel itself was great. No issues Im the room, close to the boat tour, Federal reserve, and 9/11 memorial. You cant go wrong with the room if you dont care about the service. Brittney was a lying, terrible representation of the Marriott brand. I noticed her interaction with me was completely different than her interaction with other guests so maybe she just had a problem with me from the moment I walked in.I never expect to be treated different due to my titanium elite status but when you lie directly to my face countless times over. It definitely feels as if my status is not appreciate.Im shocked that youre in a position to deal with guests that she may not like from the moment they walk into the hotel. Going out her way to make offers to other guests. Meanwhile lying directly in my face. After I researched the hotel and called her out for her lie she double downed on the lie. Ive stayed at 100s of Marriotts and this may be only the second one Ive had to write a negative review about. Shame especially for such a great location.

Solid hotel but restrictions are in place due to COVID (fully understandable) but it is not explicitly stated on website prior to check in. They will not clean your room even if requested. This is odd, even if you say you will leave your room, they will not process the request. Additionally, this is not explained to you during check-in nor does it say it on the website. Only thing on the website states they will not clean it automatically. In other hotels this has not been the standard case with COVID protocols. They also will not provide any sort of cleaning supplies if you personally wish to clean your room which is a bit unacceptable unfortunately.They also upcharge you for basic amenities that you would get in other hotels, like a dental kit. If you request a toothbrush or other basic things you forgot, you will be charged.While affordable, the rooms are tiny. If you are looking for decent price but larger rooms, suggest looking at Sixty LES or Hotel Indigo. Due to the hospitality industry having issues right now you can find larger rooms at a huge discount if that is what you are interested in.The River facing rooms do not fully face the river, although it is partially viewable.The concept is solid but it is pretty much what you would expect.

Ive been staying here for a couple weeks and I can say overall the property is pretty solid. The rooms are nice and new, and views are good.Front desk staff are friendly and attentive, but the lobby is always busy, and often overcrowded. Theres a solid percentage of guests not following COVID guidelines (masks/distance, etc.) which are not enforced by staff (understandable). Babysitting for mask-wearing should not be the job of the hotel staff, but with this many people in and out, maybe a security guard would be helpful.Only 2/3 elevators are in operation for some reason, which is problematic since you cant social distance in an elevator when people are waiting too long and overcrowd it. Not sure why the third one cant be fixed (its been weeks) or opened to the public.Restaurant, bar, gym, etc., are all closed due to COVID which is understandable, but the spaces are still (seemingly) not closed off to guests. The only problem here is that they are clearly not being cleaned regularly as Marriott states in all their marketing materials. The floors are literally filthy and ive seen crumbs & trash accumulate for days at a time.Overall, good for the price (especially the long term rate) but would be five stars if these problems could be addressed.

About nine or so months ago, we visited ~10-12 hotel properties to set up room blocks for our wedding, which was the reason for our stay at the AC Hotel Downtown. Not only did the entire team of the AC wow us then, they topped that during our stay this past weekend. Nearly 20 of our guests and their +1s also stayed at the hotel, and they were all blown away by the property and the service provided. A few examples of going above and beyond - - Were from NYC but booked a room ourselves to have a wedding HQ to get ourselves and everything on the south end of the island for the event. Kimberly, who originally showed us around; and Rita, who coordinated our stay, helped us reserve a room that accommodated us and put us at ease that our logistics would work.- We kindly asked for a mirror in our room, as a few people were getting ready for the wedding there. Not only was it delivered nearly immediately by Rita, but the front desk called with confirmation of delivery as well. - Every time we arrived, we were kindly greeted by Angel at the front desk. Angel is one of those people who has every quality necessary for a customer-facing role: kindness, approachability, attentiveness, and problem-solving ability with a calm collectedness. We also hosted our post-wedding breakfast at the AC and impressed our guests with the food and service. Everyone was attentive and kind, helping our guests as they needed it. Beyond the service, the property was well maintained and the views were gorgeous. Elevators are generously-sized and fast (a luxury you only realize when you dont have it). We never felt like the experience would have been better with different amenities - everything is already there. Re: price, we stayed over the weekend and were able to secure a rate that made the eyes nearly bulge out of our faces. It was important to us to make NYC accessible to our out-of-town guests who may be intimidated by the city or for whom this is a big trip, financially speaking. The value provided for the price we were quoted allowed everyone to stay longer, and book together, creating memories that you cannot put a price on.

Really lovely hotel in financial district. Really elegant and neat rooms, I love AC hotels, I had always nice experience. Some front desk personal is nice and pleasant to talk to, not all of them though. Nice convinient store, breakfast is still not served because of the current state. They are absolutely worth the price what you pay. So far all recommendation.

My stay accomplished all my expectation. I stay in more a dozen hotels per year around the world. Some for leisure or business related. This one was for weekend in downtown Manhattan. Since the arrival the check in was so smooth, my room was ready, did not wait until 4pm. Room impeccable with a bay view in Manhattan room keys worked perfectly during my stay floor 20 Breakfast with omelet & Eggs options and even a Prosciutto leg with slicer topped my experience also the green juices. Finally someone is putting this as a standard. Good qualities Toiletries products (European) Probably the bathroom size kind of small with sliding door compromised the privacy in term of doing your needs but ok not a limiting. Staff five star all my questions and needs answered speedily. Is been time for the budget and quality to find something like this. Congrats!

Misleading advertising of “river view” because you can only see the river from the corner of the room, not from laying in bed. They didn’t have daily room cleaning service. Since they didn’t have the cleaning service we were on hold with the front desk for 10 minutes to ask for fresh towels and when we finally got through they told us we needed to go down to the lobby to get them. Rude staff that can’t be bothered.

This is my second time that I have booked with this hotel and the experience has been an amazing and smooth each time! The decor is simple, elegant and really clean!!! The front desk team is very nice and well organized. The lady who checked us in allowed me to see a room prior, after I asked if she had a single room that was slightly bigger than their avg single room. She also connected with us, asking us for the purpose of our stay and when we shared we were celebrating a birthday, she gave us a breakfast voucher. Although the breakfast was subpar, the service was still amazing with very attentive staff and the set up was beautiful. The floor where breakfast was held was slightly dirty which could have been from people eating there earlier, but besides that no other complaints. The rooms are avg size for nyc hotel rooms but clean and nice. Definitely one of my favorite places to stay when I come to New York!

When booking the rooms I had initially required a room with a “full front el view of the river” I was advised over the phone not once but twice by two different individuals that they had availability with what I was looking for. When I checked in, I was told that their hotel doesn’t even face the river. I was lied to only to get a reservation booked. During check out as I waited with in line with my family, another group of individuals walked off the elevator and out the doors. The clerk instead ran out to the group that walked out and completely ignored me and my family. Also the group of guests did not have on their masks. And we’re talking and walking freely within the hotel and nothing was said to them. This was infuriating for me because I was traveling with my 7month old.Overall the info and treatment from workers was very poor. Perhaps if they had more than one person working the front it would have been a better experience. I stay at a lot of Marriott hotels and this is the first horrible experience. Don’t recommend this place for families, they don’t care about your health or safety.
