Having never visited NYC before we were very careful in selecting our accommodations for this weekend trip of theater and fun. From our travel preparation, to check in and check out you could not ask for a more perfect place in Midtown Manhattan to call home for a few days. The Westin staff is welcoming and helpful. The hotel is extremely clean and well located in the theater district. Our room was quite comfortable, well appointed and very quiet. I highly recommend this hotel in fact we are already making plans to come back soon.

Positive: Located right in all the action just off times square. Super clean and very friendly staff. We were checked right in and had no issues. Negative: PARKING! I didnt expect anything else given the location but it would be nice to have some sort of reasonable parking solution we could have booked through the hotel.

Very nice, clean room. It was for me: just one person, 1 king bed. Great view from 23rd floor. Easy check in. Streaming TV with NetFlix, Amazon, etc. location: In the middle of everywhere in middle-Manhattan. The lobby was uncomfortable busy. I hope my checkout is trouble free and doesn’t take long…. I hate that there’s no room service. Good hotel, good rooms at a great price in a great location. But…no food!!!

Overall the hotel is great. Clean, in a very central location, beautiful property. One thing I did notice upon check-in though, is that the front desk agent was very nice but did not mention any of their amenities, just gave me my key and have a nice day. Usually a quick explanation on breakfast times, restaurants, gym operation, and housekeeping measures due to covid is expected. But anyway, my review is not a 5 star review because of a specific manager. I booked two rooms, one for myself the other for my mother in law. At check out I specifically told the front desk agent I wanted both rooms charged on two different cards mine being that I had a Marriott Bonvoy gift card. Long story short, they charged both rooms to my mother in law. So annoying... I called the hotel and was able to speak with Daniella Fishbein (manager) ONCE. All she said is that the accounting department handles adjustments and she had not heard back from them. E-mailed her about 5 times for updates and I have never received a response. Have called the hotel for her on different times of the day and she is never available. An update on whether or not the adjustment can be made is all I want. I checked out of the hotel on August 8th, today is October 4th. Seems like a training on guest problem handling is long overdue for the managers at this property.... If you decide to stay here make sure you have the right card on file!!!

I love this place! My room was very nice and clean. When I say beautiful view I mean BEAUTIFUL. The only issue I had was someone kept messing with my door while I was trying to sleep. Not sure if they had the wrong room or what but it made me very uncomfortable. Overall it was a great stay and I had a good time. Definitely will be back.

Pros: The staff was very friendly & helpful. The location is great. The doorman Patrick was so very helpful. He provided me directions on using the subway and gave tips on navigating throughout NY. He is truly a asset to this hotel. Cons: The bathroom floor was a little dirty when we arrived. I booked this room for 4 people and throughout my stay I had to constantly ask for more towels because I was only provided enough towels for 1 person. Every time I asked for more towels I never received enough for all 4 people in my room.

Customer service was top notch!! We arrived early Monday morning. The gentleman that checked us in ewes very friendly. He was courteous and very accommodating. We were able to check in as soon as we arrived and we had a beautiful view of the Hudson River. The room was nice and clean. Everyone ( the staff) that we came in contact with during our overnight stay was so friendly and helpful. The only downside was there weren’t any small wash clothes in the room to bathe with. Maybe that was an oversight ?. I had to bathe with a large hand towel. I’m sure someone would have given us hand towels if I had asked. Overall, the stay was up to par. This will definitely be our Hotel whenever we’re in the big city!!

I really enjoyed this hotel. It was clean, the staff was awesome, and my view was great from the 19th floor. The bed was more comfortable then my bed at home. I was alone in my trip and still felt safe to wander the surrounding area by myself. Ill definitely come back to this hotel.

Great place to stay, actual nice employees and probably one of my favorite locations to stay in this city. Did not include a few amenities listed on “included amenities”. Most anything your looking for is close by, the gift shop even had a decent neck tie and products. Regret not trying the in hotel spot for breakfast.

Very nice hotel. No On-site parking, but it was free for the entire stay. We were told the restaurant was closed but the hours posted showed it was open. We also didnt find out the kitchen was open downstairs until we checked out. Nevertheless, the stay was great. The bed was SUPER comfy. Housekeeping was wonderful. The Jamaican lady was exceptionally wonderful and hospitable. Very conveniently located. The only problem I had was the room appeared to be clean, but the tub had blood splatters. Fortunately, there were 2 showers in our suite so we used the stand-alone instead. We had great views and enjoyed the stay.

For tourists first time in NYC this place if good, the location is right good for tourists.But if youre a business traveler or any other traveler that already explored NY and not looking to be around Times square I would avoid this hotel. Its ok, pretty clean but they are charging for packages with FedEx what I see as a tourist scam. in addition, the staff really pushes for tips and did not provide great service when Ive asked for an additional pillow.

Beautiful hot spot location, we were amazed with hotel room and view from the floor.we got 27th floor and it was amazing!!Room dint had refrigerator and we requested for it, room service team were able to get us one in 1 hour which is nice.Location is very near Times Square and you can hear the sound of performance, traffic and the crowd cheer. Overall, I would stay here again. There were 8 of us total (booked two rooms). My sister arrived hours early before me and they allowed her to leave her luggage behind the desk which was nice since her name wasnt on the room. The rooms were a decent size for New York (we had 2 double beds which was rough for 4 people but good room size). Great location and clean rooms and friendly concierge. However, there were quite a few issues we had. 1st day, I called twice to ask for extra towels. Didnt get them. Went downstairs and finally got them. There were no small bath towels at all. The next day cleaning came by and only made one of our beds instead of both and left trash in our familys room next door. Our family in the next room was only give one towel to bathe (hand towel, not wash cloth). My fam asked for four towels and they refused to give them 4 total and said theyd have to check with management. So they expected 4 people to bathe with one towel. Apparently cleaning also actually had a bathing towel and said she cant give those out and she needs to ask management. The rooms were definitely clean when we arrived but the wear and tear was showing. Dust on tv and clocks. Bathrooms had a little mold, water pressure is low, stains on the wall & my aunt in the next room found a huge coffee? water? stain on their mattress. Some of the coffee was expired & there was no cream or sugar. No fridge (which I knew that when booking so no biggie). We didnt get the robes or oil that was promised in the brochure we found in the room. Also, Im missing 3 pair of shorts and my sister is missing her gold earrings. Good hotel overall but their stingy with the towels.

I have stayed at many Westin hotels over a time and I have not been disappointed. Rooms were very clean and of course the bed was very very relaxing. The Westin never disappoints with luxury and style. This time I was able to get a little gym life in...again 5 stars. Equipment was clean and sanitized. I will stay here again the next time I am in town. Oh and let me not forget.... A++ staff, everyone from the door guy (George) to the front desk to the express service to the guy who loaded us up to go back home... Thank you for giving us a wonderful stay!

Positive: Not much. Negative: In the middle of summer the ac didnt work. The website said it had valiet service for the car and a fee for cars parked over night. They no longer offer that which is not stated and you need to find your own parking. Its a joke. You can find better.

If you dont mind paying higher price for Westin brand and location then this is the place for you. Pro: obviously great location, comfy rooms, fast elevators (we were on the top floor), extremely helpful staff. Shout out to Patrick (bell man), Manager Carl, and the lady who checked me in. Unfortunately, I cannot remember her name. Con: The rooms do not have a mini fridge for guest or microwave. Its a $20 charge to have them placed in your room. This is a problem for me as is traveling with a toddler. However, the staff took care of my family free of charge.

The room was very clean, and the location was close to everything especially Times Square. We used the subway a lot during our visit, and there is a subway station directly across the street which is very convenient. Staff members were very courteous as well. Would highly recommend staying here!

Clean room and good amenities. I would have given 5 stars but the sink in our bathroom had a slow drain, the fridge was locked due to covid which I don’t get because it can be wiped down and the security box lock was broken. The staff was friendly and willing to help. We stayed on the 29th floor and loved the views and location.

There was no bottled water provided in the room, so I asked for two and waited for half an hour. I told the front desk that I could just get some by myself, but the man refused to tell me the location and told me to get one at a convenience store. I was very annoyed and had to buy one nearby. The man carrying my water eventually showed up. An old emaciated man with only one arm. He was the only runner in this 45-floor building at that time. He kept apologizing with a full bag of bottled water and delivered to my girlfriend. That was the most heartbreaking moment in my life. I’ve never felt so guilty before. I should’ve not called the front desk twice; I should’ve never even asked for the water. I am writing this review ten days after my trip. I’m still feeling bad that I did not bring any cash to New York, so I could not tip him. People like him are mostly ignored in the hotel, but those people were the kindest throughout my trip, comparing to the man in suits at the front desk. The cleaning lady was also nice and caring, and I started to miss my mom at that moment.City view is good

Amazing customer service! What a place to stay in! I had laundry done in few hours by them!!! The room was clean every time we came back in room!! I forgot my jewelry in my room and they did fedex! Booked through Expedia. The double bed grand Room was nothing like the photos. I had to change rooms three times. The first room smelled like smoke. The second room had a broken lamp and a hole in the wall. The third and last room was okay. I had no where else to go due to it being 10pm. The rooms do need an update. Refrigerators had locks on them. The bedding looked great but the one blanket was yellow stained. The hotel had no restaurant that was open. The location was great and staff was friendly and nice. Would not stay here again.

We left a beloved stuffed animal behind and security (T. Morgan) became very defensive when I called and questioned how they may have handled it. I just need closure. I would like to talk to the housekeeper that cleaned the room 4108 on 8/18 and ask if she discarded it. I know that I placed it in bed with my daughter. I feel certain it was left behind in the bedding.

Amazing stay!! Most significant location, trains, busses are all within 5 minutes of the hotel. The heart of Times Square is a 5 minute walk away. Very clean and friendly staff. The beds were extremely comfortable. The TV says your name on it when you turn it on which is pretty cool. Definitely would recommend this place and Im definitely gonna come back to this place!

I made a reservation for six nights through Expedia and paid in full amount with my credit card before I checked in on June 15, 2021. After I checked out on June 21, 2021, I still didnt get my deposit back yet on my credit card. How come do you work like this?? I already talked with accounting department over the phone but I still didnt get it even your staff promised me to do so. ASAP please. I waited too long and I am going through serious inconvenience. This was by far the most unpleasant Marriott stay I have ever encountered. I am generally a loyal Marriott customer and look at Marriott branded hotels first. From the moment of checkin this stay was unpleasant. We arrived and checked in and were assigned a room. Upon opening the door to the room a horrific smell of something rotting came from the doorway. We took a couple steps in and the smell got worse. We returned to the front desk and informed the same agent that assigned our first room at which point he rolled his eyes and responded well, let me see if I have another room. We were assigned the second room and at least that room did not smell terrible. We had 3 towels for our entire stay although we booked the room with 4 people. There were no washcloths ever delivered until requested the last day. The air conditioner had 2 lint filled filters stuck in the air return. The air conditioner struggled to reach the desired temperature. There were blood spatters on the wall in the bathroom. Although they were small they were not addressed during the stay. I took photos of that. Unfortunately, we were traveling with family and I could not raise repeated concerns during the trip for the sake of ruining our trip. I made 2 separate requests during the stay using the Marriott app and both went unanswered for hours until I made a follow up request at which time they were answered. The second request was for enough towels for my family to shower. I made the requests at 8:14 and it went unanswered until 1026 when I inquired. The housekeeping staff came to my room after 11pm with towels. We had friends and family come to meet us for breakfast at the hotel and could not have been more embarrassed. The selection of food was terrible and the price was beyond excessive. We expected that for $26 we would have a decent selection of food but were met with food that was tasteless. I have had better food at free breakfast hotels. Furthermore, we requested on several occasions to have the only fresh food, the waffles and pancakes, refilled and until we saw a manager the requests went unanswered. The service was not good at all. I had a single cup of coffee through the entire breakfast. The server never returned to the table. Pre-added 18% gratuity was excessive. I do understand the need to add for the general welfare of the servers but we did not get that level of service. Upon checkout, I requested that a member of management contact me and that has not happened yet. This was a terrible experience overall. I will certainly not ever stay at this hotel again.

The room is really nice and location is awesome, staff is friendly . But we had several issues with our key card not opening our door and I had to go down to reception SEVERAL times from the 40th floor to finally get it resolved . Also the maid took our wash cloths that we only used once and didn’t replace them . We called to get them replaced (twice btw , because the first time they never came) only for them to tell us they didn’t have anymore and give us face/hand towels to use . I suppose it’s better than nothing . I honestly expected a lot more from a hotel with such great reviews . Honestly, I think they are probably good most of the time . No place is perfect . And we unfortunately were one of the ones that didn’t have a very pleasant experience . Won’t be returning .

Chair in room was heavily peeling, the shower floor was dirty yellow and the water pressure was low. Carpet was also dirty. We didn’t have wash cloths and had to request them which was unfortunate. I expected more from a Marriott ( I always stay at one). I also expected more especially for the price.

Great hotel, but make sure you get an upgraded room. The lower ones are dark and small. Additionally, we had some maintenance issues at the beginning of our stay (tub didn’t drain well and toilet leaked), but they moved us. I imagine this had to do with them being shut down during COVID.

We were 4 people in the room and there were only 3 towels, we had to go to the reception 4 times to have the fourth towel also they left only 1 soap per room. The bathroom floor was dirty or stained.The need is felt to have restaurant options in the hotel or something to eat by the guests. One day it rained a lot and we did not want to leave the hotel, however we were informed that everything in the hotel was closed and that the only option was to go out and find a restaurant. The street just outside the hotel is not the best, it was always full of homeless people and there was a strong air of insecurity.We had to take several packages at the reception but the experience was not always the most enjoyable and helpful. It is important to emphasize that the person at the entrance door was always very cordial and friendly, as well as the cleaning staff, always very respectful and cordial.

Very comfortable accomodations. We were given a nice west facing room on the 45th floor, overlooking the Hudson. Magnificent views and helpful service from the front desk staff and doormen. They have a FedEx office onsite for copy/mailing services and a small convenience store. Everything beautifully remodeled and clean. There are resort fees in addition to your room charges in case you are wondering. Not for the faint of budget, but we were happy with the splurge.

Run down with excessive moisture in the room. Foundry’s the on-site restaurant isn’t serving food. Some of the check in staff lives for not working and avoiding eye contact. Stay elsewhere.

Its most terrible experience for me. When I checked in, my room was not cleaned yet including beds, towels and vacuum. Even staff pushed me to wait for getting that room. So I claimed to change the room. Even if I booked the high floor with extra charge, staff gave me only 17th floor room. Even I waited for new room one and half hour, theres no call from staff. When I claimed again to get a clue from staff, she was very impolite and gave me an anger. First time she gave me a 17th floor room and the changed room was on 40th floor. I thought that was not proper because this hotel had 44 floors. 17th floor is only 1/3 height of this hotel. Then I changed the room but I found the house keepers name tag - Cynthia. When I checked out, I tossed the name tag to staff but theres not a sorry. If my friends asked me this hotel, I never recommend.

Spur of the moment trip with my son over a long Mothers Day weekend. So glad we chose Westin Time Square. We had a package deal that included a hotel and flight into Newark Airport. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that we could take a bus directly to Port Authority which is practically across the street from the hotel for just $18. Check-in was a breeze, and the only downside was there is no concierge (due to Pandemic) until July. Fortunately, the bellman was good with suggestions, and there is a Hop on Hop Off stop out front. The hotel is well maintained with a beautiful and spacious lobby as you would expect at a Westin. Our double room was pretty standard, adequate size, and updated bathroom. Our river view from the 39th floor was amazing, and it was so nice that the elevators were express, so we didnt have to wait. The only drawback was that the bathroom light went on and off throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep. However, the beds were so comfortable, and the view so lovely, that even though they offered to send in maintenance or move us, we opted to bear it so as not to have to repack or have someone in our room while we were out enjoying the city. Hector was a sweety for offering. I made sure to remind them to fix the light when I checked out. The only reason for a 4 instead of a 5.

I’ve never staid anywhere without a refrigerator in room. I don’t understand how they expect u keep water etc in room while traveling without a refrigerator. Shower didn’t really work till the last day. Yes
