Brought my car in thinking I need new brakes due to a noise while braking. Also needed an oil change. They inspected the brakes and found they had decent life left—noise was likely just some corrosion (it is a 27 year old Corolla). I really appreciate the integrity Matt’s showed—I expected to pay for new brakes and wouldn’t have known they weren’t necessary to replace were it not for this shop’s honesty. I’ll definitely be back.

Purchased a BMW 650i from out of state that was repaired just enough to cross the state line.Matts Foriegn Car took my two month nightmare purchase from the dealership who had the car for two months in a foriegn car specialist shop. Corners were cut with glue being used rather than gaskets in the engine!There are no corners cut at Matts and if there is a way to save you money it is done without affecting the quality of the work!All of our cars go to Matts Foriegn Car Service. They always beat dealer and third party quotes and back it up with repairs done right the first time!

Being new to town, with a car with an old corroded dead battery at work in Wauwatosa at 4pm on a Tuesday, I went looking on google maps for the closest repair shop with good google reviews. After a few put me on long holds, Matt answered and was very helpful at figuring out options to get our car to him. Plus, he already had in stock the battery size we needed. If he was not alone at the shop at that time, he said he would come jump the car to get it to his shop. But, that was not an option, so he advised we try to find a jump at work, that it should jump fine. That worked! So we drove the car to Matts shop, and he replaced the battery for a fair price and we were on our way. Matt helped us last minute with a car crisis, and we are super grateful.

MFCS is a honest and friendly care specialist that does whatever they can for their customers!!! The heating in my 2013 BMW 335i had failed and I was given a diagnosis from another mechanic that there was a malfunction with the blend door on the driver side and that the whole dash would need to be removed in order to replace the part. This was going to cost at least $1500, but MFCS had given me a quote of $1100. Before proceeding with the job, MFCS had looked into the issue themselves and discovered that the lines needed to be flushed. They had saved me a tremendous amount of money (Cost $345) and had the car was working in less than a day. I truly appreciate their work and will continue to be a customer of theirs in the future!

You dont see me listed as a customer because, I was never given the opportunity to to become a customer. My first experience was 2 months ago. I was told by phone, there were cars for sale at your location. I caught  a cab all the way from west allis to the lot, and told my cabi that he could leave. However, when I asked the guy behind the counter were there any cars for sale, he told me no.  I then bought a BMW elsewhere. I then bought the truck in for exhaust work and without even seeing the truck I was told by the same guy behind the counter that he was booked for a couple weeks, and that the cost of the exhaust work was probably more than what the truck was worth. This was without even seeing the condition of the truck. And all I needed were mufflers. My conjecture is that I was judged from my outward appearance as if I do not have at least 5 figures in my checking account or , maybe because I do not appear as an intelligent young black male. When in fact Iam 41, own my tech company, and was educated at the University of Florida in 2001. But, thats besides the point. If I couldnt afford it I would have not showed up there either time. This whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth!

Two weeks ago I was quoted $1,711 at the BMW of Milwaukee North dealership for a valve cover replacement. They tried to push me into getting it done, claiming that my engine would misfire if this wasnt taken care of immediately. Knowing thats a ridiculous price, I told them I would get a second opinion and thats when I called Matts. I brought my car into the shop this morning and within hours Dennis called me to let me know that the leak was hardly significant, and the worst that would happen is my oil would need to be replenished sooner than normal. I couldnt believe it! I appreciate Dennis honesty so much, and the fact that he didnt try to push me into something that wasnt necessary. BMW of MN tried to take advantage and saw it as a money grab. I will only be giving my business to Matts from now on!

I was treated with kindness and respect while waiting for a quote for my vehicle’s repair. I had a terrible experience with Brown Deer Auto Sales selling me a faulty vehicle but this place made me feel much better. I paid them to look at my vehicle vs taking it to Brown Deer Sales repair shop called Hansen Reno Auto Repair for free after being lied to about a few things and I’m glad I did. The owner Matt even came out and was offering us coffee and tea and at one point joked about offering us beer because we were all just sitting in the waiting area a bit uptight and he was trying to be friendly and make us laugh. I’ll be back to get my vehicle fixed here after getting things situated with the original dealership but I most certainly recommend Matt’s!!!

Weve been going to Matts for 20 years. I wont take my cars anyplace else. They are honest, thorough, and knowledgeable. When a shop turns down a major repair by telling you its under a warranty, you know they are honest. On top of that, they are really nice people. Best repair shop in the county.

There is a strong reason why they have a 5-star rating because they are that good ! I had a broken feeder hose, one headlight and a brake light bust. These were small problems which anybody would have fixed butthe professionalism displayed by these guys was phenomenal. I dropped my car after hours and they fixed things the next day. Their rates are reasonable. I noticed when I got to pick the car, the attendant/head mechanic got a call.Instead of attending it and talking to the person on the other end, he asked the caller to wait and did not keep ME waiting. I went to start my car but the battery had insufficient charge. I notified the same person who then put a boost charge into my batter and I was good to go. As long as I live in Milwaukee area, Im going to Matts. Maybe even if I DONT buy a foreign car in the future.

Matts did a great job on fixing my BMW two big problem: water pump faiure, misfire of engine. They can fixed the problem fast and in a resonable price and recentaly the car had some nosiy, and I took my car back to them to check, AC compressor broken. I run out money so I want to save for few months to fix it, they even didnt charge me to diagnosis. I would strongly recommand this car shop to any one who own a old BMW 530 Xi like mine. A Matts story for the ages: It was the late 1990s. Temps had dipped to 30 below and my car would not start. But my work demanded that I be on the job no matter what.At the time, we had been Matts Foreign Auto satisfied customers for 10 years. I called Matt, who knew my work situation. He personally and immediately came to our home with a booster device and, after several tries in that 30 degrees below zero pain, got me up and running. (I remember the bitter bitter cold and Matt personally struggling with my car -- frozen hands and all. What a guy.)Now 15+ years later and after many more exceptional service visits, I can sense there is a reason why Matts lot is filled to the curb most every day. Matt, Dennis, Bill and the entire Matts team are honest peace of mind. In these challenging times, it doesnt get better than that.

Call ahead to schedule as Matts is always busy, but their service is top notch. Never had an issue. We have tried other area car shops and this one is our favorite. We service our Subaru and Honda here, although there are a lot of pricier imports in the lot, too.

I trust Matts garage with my life because they will never try to scam you or over charge you and bill you honestly. They worked on my 2009 Honda civic which I bought with salvage title once they fixed every thing I never had any problem with it they also worked on my 2008 Audi TT 3.2 liter v6 convertible roadster which I bought used and had some issues with it which they fixed and knock on wood car drives better then new. I have taken my car here several times now. I am a single female, and they have never steered me wrong. They do honest work, which is hard to find in my situation. One time my check engine light came on, so I took it in to them. They said a sensor plug had just come out. It took them about an hour to diagnose, find it and plug it back in. They charged me $60, which I thought was completely fair for the hours worth of work it took. They could have easily fed me a line that this and that needed replacing and I never would have known the difference. I have had them do major work on my car as well... during that trip I had some issues with my windshield wipers. He fixed my wipers and the fluid issue and did not charge me for that at all. I wont take my car anywhere else from now on.

Every time. Every time I bring my VW here for service they are fair, fast and do an excellent job. I have an older model (10+) that needs more extensive attention than perhaps a new car. Everything they have recommended or worked on has been top quality and right the first time.I never feel they are trying to queze any extra margin for themselves out of my pocket book.Theyre great at providing updates along the way and have never overpromised or under delivered.These guys are stand-up.
