Absolutely loved my stay here. There were points of personal outreach every step of the way, ensuring we had a good experience. Highly recommend it, especially since its so close to the airport (they have a complimentary shuttle). And the best part is that we requested a picture of Nicolas Cage be there for us...and they had it! It was great. My wife was stoked.

Parking is expensive. Everything else is average for the price. $17.50 anytime you leave because it’s just an independent parking lot unless you pay $55 for valet. Oh well :( The rooms look nice though. Just makes it hard to appreciate location if you can’t go in and out without paying each time.

Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles HotelThe Hotel was very clean apparently. As soon as we got to the room we realize that the bed next to the window was extremely dirty, with hair and the on top has something weird very hard spilled. What disappointed. The housekeeping lady came over and she was impressed on how dirty the bed was. They changed the bed right away. They give you complimentary water with free delivery to your room…this was a+++++++ very convenient and helpful with guests.NO BUENO- the parking is extremely expensive if you decide to take the public parking they have behind the building. It Is better pay the $65 for the Valet…. Np choice…I will com back . I do recommend this hotel. I been in multiples hotel in LA and this is one is one of the clean one.We had an amazing dinner at the hotel restaurant. We really enjoy that experience at the hotel.

The kids love this hotel! They had a small but classic swimming pool that the kids enjoy much of our stay here. They had so much fun and it was safe with them because they were lifeguards on duty the whole day. Their rooms were very roomy and had the most comfortable mattresses than any other hotels in the city.

It was my first time staying here for only one night. As far as I could tell, staff were friendly and helpful. Charging outlets were convenient enough to be found on both sides of the bed. We will never stay at this hotel again. I stayed here a couple of years ago and most recently this past weekend. The difference was astonishing. Here is a list of problems that made the stay horrible. 1st off mask mandate was not enforced and the hotel was completely booked. 2nd onlyn2 elevators out of 5 worked so forced to ride with drunk unmasked guests. 3rd no room service. 4th escalator broken if trying to escape using elevators. 4th marijuana smoking throughout the hotel so hallways and elevators smelled horrible. Dont stay here with family.

I definitely didnt like the fact that if you leave you have to pay each time 17.00 I can even see if its 17.00 a day...plus there should be a shuttle or extended golf cart to shuttle people to the hotel . Its not a far walk but when you have luggage and kids can be a far walk. I seen a elderly lady fall in the parking lot trying to carry her things. I will definitely not recommend this hotel or come here again. But Im sure I little thoughts or comments are small and Im just a little fish. I guess this hotel isnt for us regular people. Maybe if I made $100,00.00 I wouldnt complain. I guess I expected more spending 243.00.... inorder to ensure my night was quite, and comfortable I didnt mind the cost. Next time I will pass by any Sheraton hotel to a 4 seasons or something.

Great amenities! Food was on point. Their customer service was also excellent. The only reason why I removed one star is because of their pillows and blankets! They were not comfortable at all compared to other Sheraton/Marriotts hotels I have stayed in and for some reason their blankets were itchy. My body was itchy all night! I know it was not bed bugs but it could be their blankets not being soft enough.

While the hotel still feels a little bit understaffed, everyone was very courteous and kind. The room was nicely appointed, although the carpet needs to be replaced right away. The bathroom feels as recently renovated too. The food at the bar was good and reasonably priced (for a hotel). The rate ($151 + taxes) was the best in the area for this hotel tier. The view from the room (11th floor) was nice. Definitely recommended for its great value.

The room was clean and tidy enough. Amenities were nice. Guest services were not so warm and welcoming when requesting for items needed for the room. Its like they are being stingy about toiletries and water. When housekeeping forgot one thing I asked for, she had an attitude about having to go back for that thing. I would have just let it be and not make her get it but I could not get a proper word in to let her know.

This hotel is in a very good location. Its close to the airport and decent restaurants. The rooms are also pretty clean. However, they really need to work on handling large crowds. We stayed while a motorcycle club was there, and the place was too packed. All of the workers seemed very overwhelmed. People were everywhere and it was very noisy. There was even a guy there walking up to everyone asking if we wanted to attend his massive party. Also, my family and I were awaken by the smell of marijuana during the middle of the night on our first night there. Apparently, the doors are not that thick because the odor came right into our room. I dont think Ill be returning. It seems like a party hotel and not for families with young children.

The glam and reviews definitely tricked us on this one. The only thing that’s nice, updated and fancy is the entrance and check in section on the 1st floor. After that, once you hit the floor the rooms are on, you get a outdated motel vibe. Room, walls, floors are very outdated and basic, bed is horrible felt like mattress that was worked to the springs then given away.. Bathroom has a mix of both outdated and a little bit of updates but no space for amenities at all. To top it off the price you pay definitely doesn’t make you feel good about what you get.. I’m assuming it’s only high due to the airport convenience and so they can eventually renovate.. It has potential it definitely needs to be updated though. Not satisfied for the price I paid for. If it was more realistic and reasonable I would’ve understood and just had to have taken that L.

I have stayed here a few times. Staff is always amazing. It is the othe issues that are getting worse each time I stay. The hall ways and our room smelled like up in smoke 2 was in the process of being filmed. Not a smoker so it kinda took away the enjoyment of the room. The bar by the pool does not open till 4. So if you are planning on having a drink while you are relaxing in the warm summer sun, remember its BYOB. The staff was nice enough to point me towards the nearest liquor store. But who needs alcohol when you can get that contact high with your fellow guest!Another point on the bar. No blender! Really! 4 star hotel and no blender!Parking. Well 55.00 for valet! Or parking in the back of the property for 17.55 with NO in and out. I felt a little uncomfortable walking from the back to the front of the hotel, some of the local street residents made me a little Uncomfortable. And Im a good sized guy.So not a bad stay if you are comfortable with the concerns I listed, nice staff rooms are decent.

I am very disappointed, I planned to stay a night at the hotel this September 2021. My brother is a Marriott Employee and a Loyalty Program Member. He had booked room for me under his name and released the required authorization form for me to get the privilege. But when I phoned to enquire about our stay, the guest services said they won’t let me have the room unless my brother is physically present. Also made several unclear excuses to the questions asked. Then what’s the point in offering worldwide international family services for the employees? In addition, I never experienced such issues with my previous bookings in other starred hotels.

The hotel is very nice! The staff was very friendly, the hotel was very clean, and it was fairly quiet despite its proximity to the airport. However, what made the experience less than excellent were two things:1. Ordering food from the restaurant involved standing in a line for 15 minutes at the bar, because there were only one person taking the orders and another person making drinks (they were also going back and forth to the kitchen to grab orders). I was overwhelmed just watching them.2. The restaurant menus in the rooms are out of date. So imagine youve settled on your order, and youre told that you must place your order at the bar because placing your order in advance (over the phone) for pick up is not an option. Then, you wait 15 minutes in line to place your order only to be told that your desired item is no longer on the menu and the room menus are out of date. Finally, you only have a few minutes to try to find another item on the menu before the 10 people behind you become agitated because youre taking a lot of time with the only waitress in the entire restaurant. That entire system is a disaster.I also noticed the front desk was understaffed. Theres more than enough stations to remain socially distant.

Checked in for one night to be close to the airport. Was a little nervous on what the experience would be reading these mixed reviews as I am particular about my accommodations not being updated. This review is as of September 2021. Ive had nothing but a good experience so far. The shuttle picked us up from the airport timely. One thing is the airport has a hotel shuttle stop area however you have to look at the shuttle you need and flag it down instead of each hotel shuttle having individual stops.Back to the hotel...all the staff members we encountered upon arrival were nice and helpful. The room was clean and updated. Their restaurant was open but we opted to do a short walk next door at Homewood suites as there is a Subway, Krispy Kreme, and Coffee Bean. They have a Starbucks in the Sheraton but I guess its only open until a certain time frame. Overall I felt good with selecting this hotel and would stay here again to catch a flight. This used to be a good business hotel where I could chat with fellow travelers in a relaxed setting. I stayed here probably 10 times in the past. This was my first trip of the pandemic era, and the transformation is huge -- and for the worse. While the rooms, staff, and the lounge restaurant/bar are still very good, the place turned into a magnet for low class people. There is smoking, music playing, loud talking and noises at all hours of day and night. Its almost impossible to rest properly here. In addition, the elevators are a disgrace, and there were even empty cans in the elevator lobby on my floor. While I still like all the other qualities, including the location next to LAX, the main purpose of staying at the hotel is to work and relax, and that cannot be done in its current state. Next time I am in LA I will find a much more expensive place where hopefully not so much riff-ruff is staying at.

We were there for an event with our 6 year old daughter and had booked an “accessible” room 2 months in advanced. When checking in Front desk person saw that our 6 year old was in a wheelchair, yet still felt the need to ask if we still needed an “accessible” room for our stay. I told him we did, yet They placed us in a non-accessible executive suite, The 600 SF suite was equipped with two air conditioners, but only one of them was working, we called the front desk who sent the maintenance person who walked in and said “yeah sorry, this unit is broken, bad motor, can’t fix it, I suggest you switch rooms”. At this point I called the front desk and asked if they had a comparable room available for us to move into, their response was ”I’ll send the bell hop up with keys to your new room”. While waiting for bellhop we had began packing up all of our items which we had just unpacked before realizing the air conditioner wasn’t working. when bellhop arrived my wife Went to verify that the new room didn’t have any issues before making the trek with all of our luggage and children, As I stayed with the kids the wife walked over to check out the new room and realized that they had attempted to put us in a non-accessible 300 square-foot standard king room. At this point I called the front desk again and let them know that we had booked for and paid for an accessible executive Suite 2 months in advance and that I would like to be moved to a comparable room. The front desk said “hold on” then transferred me to the Director of hotel operations Who informed me that they did not have any accessible suites available. I asked at that point if it would be possible to get us adjoining suites with at least one of them being accessible for showering and toileting purposes of our six-year-old. his response was that they don’t give out free rooms and then if I wanted to pay the difference he could make a new reservation for me. I Explained to him that I was not attempting to get a free room I was looking for something comparable to what I had, I had paid for a 600 square-foot room and he was trying to place me in a 300 square-foot room with zero compensation. I told him if he had another 600 square-foot room available that would be fine but if not I had paid for 600 ft.² and I would like two 300 square-foot rooms. He argued with me that the hotel does not charge by square foot and instead they charge per room and if I wanted two rooms I would have to pay for two rooms at the current rate (almost double what we paid) I challenged his statement by asking him why A 600 square-foot room costs almost exactly twice as much as a 300 square-foot room if they charge per room and not by square footage. The Director didn’t have a response to that question and instead agreed to transfer me to a non-accessible executive suite on the 14th floor. I asked what the difference between that suite and the one that we currently had would be because this suite didn’t seem to be “accessible”, as it did not have the roll in shower, or grab bars as stated on the room details when booking. His response was that it “should have had” the grab bars, And he is confused as to why that is showing as an accessible room if it doesn’t have grab bars or a roll in shower. Additional hotel issues were as followed:#1 the room stated it had a pull out sofa bed- it did not.#2 we were told that we could have rollaway cots (plural) delivered to the room for the children to sleep on- they limited us to one twin cot for two kids.#3 “I’ve been in the service and history for over 20 years and I’m a very understanding person but I also run my business with a strong focus on customer service and doing the “right thing”. When we booked our room it was the SAME price to get two 300SF rooms, vs one 600SF room. when the hotel wasn’t able to provide the room we booked, the tried to profit from their inability to provide the room we had paid for, by charging us for another room.

Second issue was the adjoining room was having a party. Wasn’t an issue until we tried going to sleep at 11pm. (Mary) the general manager very unprofessional very inconsiderate! sometimes it’s not what you say but how you say it.. I have reservations but my family & I just received confirmation that our mother will be released from the hospital Sunday morning So I tried to cancel my reservations for at least Sunday I spoke to another party that books they reservations and they stated (it’s up to the hotel to refund my money) i’m trying to figure out what the hotel will be losing if they refund me my money (absolutely nothing) my mother been in the hospital for 3 long months But God is good I will continue to be a Hilton honors member I just decided to step out the box Life happens and Somethings be out of our control a little compassion will take you a Long Way.

HORRIBLE STAY. DO NOT STAY HERE!! BED BUGS!!I stayed here last Saturday and my guest woke up covered in bed bug bites and found one on her and killed it. We documented everything in case they need pictures/videos. We spoke to the downstairs front desk and they felt apologetic and said they would send a pest control company to check it out. They said they would reach back out and they didn’t. One week later I had to call them to see what’s going on. Super disappointed staying there. For what you’re paying stay elsewhere.

Absolutely one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in near LAX airport! The driveway, the elevators and the hallways on nearly every floor just reeked of marijuana. I know this because I literally had to go to every single floor to find a vending machine that worked!Hotel staff look harassed and have difficulty answering simple guest questions. The restaurant is advertised on the website as being open 24 hours...it isn’t. It was closed when I arrived shortly after 11pm,My room was nicely appointed, but my experience with the stench of weed, the lack of a place to eat, the broken vending machines all left a sour taste in my mouth before I even had a chance to put my feet up.Will NOT stay here again and will discourage my co-workers from staying at this dump!

Negative: The pillows were the worse I have ever used!! Said we were suppose to have water, there was none. There was coffee, but no cream or sugar, so could not have any. The parking lot was way in back. Had to drag our luggage quite a ways to get in. Plus

This hotel was awful, the entire 6th floor smelled like cigarettes! Not just smelled it was like someone on the floor was smoking packs and packs of cigarettes! Our room smelled like someone that smoked just checked out! When we asked to move us, they moved us to a different on the same floor! Not worth the money and aggravation!

Our flight was delayed. We showed up to the hotel at 4AM instead of 12AM. The front desk said we had to wait over an hour to check in. They gave us no more explanation than the computer is down. They offered nothing to make our time easier. This is terrible. We’re just sitting in the lobby. The front desk person disappeared.
