Got an amazing price on the room, although regular price I might not have stayed. As far as service its definitely top tier. They ensured the safety of each guess. Loved the key card for the elevator service. Restaurant was great STK way over priced but definitely great quality. The ambiance of the outside area was LIT. Great music selection, I would call it sing along music. Once I get my funds up Ill definitely be returning. Thank you for an amazing experience in Beverly hills.

The staff is nice enough. The hotel however, is a little rundown. I could get past that due to the close proximity to UCLA if so many other things weren’t lacking. Firstly, breakfast at the hotel is a nightmare. There are two waiters for 20 tables. Expect to wait a very long time between coffee refills despite the fact that the waiters are literally running. It isn’t their fault, they are just severely understaffed. The elevators are always packed and any effort to thwart that issue by taking the stairs is prevented by stairs that do not allow you to use them without setting off an alarm. Prepare to watch elevator after elevator packed with people pass you by. Lastly, yet most importantly, room service. This is the WORST. You scan a barcode (presumably this is COVID excuse related). You order your food and when it arrives (2 nights in a row) 45 minutes later…it’s wrong. They forgot your $9 water bottle the first night and they delivered the wrong bottle of wine with no glasses the second. It’s been thirty years since drinking from the bottle seemed okay to me. There is definitely the feeling that they do not care to check your order at all. Adding insult to injury is that you have already tipped handsomely because the app requests a tip selection when you order. I would suggest you do not tip and wait until your order arrives. If it’s all there, hand them cash. If not, at least you won’t feel like a total sucker tipping them two nights in a row when they do not care to read your ticket and provide the items necessary to enjoy your meal. Yes, I need a glass for my wine. I appreciate the corkscrew (even though it was a screw top since the actual bottle I ordered is still at the bar) but a glass would be preferable to my cupped hands. Not impressed. This hotel is form over function and nobody is detail oriented. This tired (trying to be swanky hotel) is just tired.

Stayed here with my family in June 2021. The costumer service at check in was excellent and the room was beautiful. However, the place turns into strip club/ party atmosphere by night. Beware if staying with kids because they will see it all. Me and my young daughter were in the lobby around dinner time and young women in see thru lingerie began coming into the lobby. One women was only wearing nipple pasties. Each evening we were there, there was adult parties at the rooftop bar so we were unable to access the pool for our entire stay. I am all for a good party but if the W is promoting this type of good time, they may need to be clear that this is not a place for kids.

Average experience. Please think twice before you spend your money at this hotel, there are so many other options in the area. I personally will not come back. Service is average, staff with attitude and untrained. No bar available, you can go to the STK restaurant for drinks, I would not recommend as there are only a couple of chairs by the bar, otherwise you need a reservation for dinner. This restaurant is another story. I’m being constantly overcharged for small things at this hotel..it’s just a hustle. If you really like the brand, why don’t you try W in Hollywood. Service is so much better over there!! 😊

For a Luxury Hotel, this was definitely not up to standards. For the price of the room, luxury status and claim to provide exceptional cleaning during the pandemic, it was a total fail. I went in my room and upon unpacking, I opened the fridge. It had old food and drinks left inside despite covid cleaning protocols. If they clean like this, how is it throughout the room? I just called to let them know to send someone to clean. I’m sorry was it. Our group had 4 rooms and on the second night 2 rooms had the keys stop working. They were “too busy” to run the keys up to our friends room. I went down and 4 staff members were chatting yet too busy to bring up keys. Customer service was horrible!

It is a wonderful hotel, but I was pretty disappointed by my last stay since way too many of the amenities are shut down. I’d suggest waiting until August to stay, since then hopefully the hotel will be a lot more functional. However, the rooms are definitely some of the best you can find in the LA area with beautiful views. Whatever Whenever desk can be a bit rude at times, so I’d suggest they undergo a re-training in customer hospitality.

We love the W hotel and stay there whenever we can while were traveling, sometimes even for staycations in-town. So when we saw there was one located in the middle of Beverly Hills we expected a really swanky experience (cmon, its Beverly Hills). Unfortunately though, thats not what we got. Instead, it was more like a Courtyard Marriott with cool art, in a really nice side of town...The Pros:Shawn was the woman who first greeted us and got us checked in. Throughout our stay she was super helpful, giving us really good recommendations and making sure we had what we needed. The outside of the hotel is also really well-maintained, with beautiful vine coverage and colorful lights framing the entrance. Definitely a great spot for picturesThe Cons:The room was very basic and structured in a strange way (we had a studio, I forget which one), with a lot of unused space. The windows were dirty so while the view of the hills was nice, it was a little hard to take it in in all its glory. The towels were not soft and didnt smell fresh (BIG problem). The process for ordering room service was a bit buggy because you had to order through a 3rd-party website and add your room number. And lastly, the valet service was a bit unorganized and we ended up having to wait 20 minutes the first morning to find someone and get our car.Overall the experience was OK, but this hotel likely wont be our first choice the next time we stay in Beverly Hills

The room was furnished very nicely and was clean but otherwise this hotel did not meet my expectations for the price. There was no in-room coffee maker. The toilet paper was so cheap it was barely useful. We ordered extra blankets and they were the worst scratchiest polyester you could imagine. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby in the morning with only almond milk or spoiled cream. The amenities at the hotel like the poolside service and breakfast restaurant only seemed to be open randomly when there were a lot of people not staying at the hotel there for weekend brunch or something. The food at the poolside restaurant was just OK but yet very pricey. I got a Caesar salad that barely tasted like anything. The calamari was good though. There weren’t enough umbrellas at the pool. It just overall seemed like the hotel management cared more about the appearance of luxury to the visitors to the restaurants than they did about making actual hotel guests feel taken care of. Oh and they were totally profiling people at the pool, rather than just putting in a gate so only hotel guests could get in. The staff were very nice though. I guess Covid has hit the hotel industry hard but Marriot needs to step it up and cut shareholder profits or something. Sheesh.

The ambience was impeccable and the service was great. The bathrooms were clean and the beds were comfy. The 24 hour room service was quick and the pepperoni pizza was delicious at midnight. The best part of our trip was working with Barbara. She went above and beyond to make our trip very special and even though we didn’t get our couples massage(because our schedule was too hectic and we messed up the appointment times ourselves) Barbara went out of her way to send us a special bottle of champagne and chocolates to add a romantic touch to our trip.We will definitely be staying at this hotel in the future the next time we visit Los Angeles.

I have stayed at this hotel many times on my frequent business trips to Los Angeles, but I wont be doing so anymore in the future because of the rude treatment I received this week. After booking the hotel for one night, I realized the next day that my meeting would be over thirty miles away so it would not be convenient to stay there, I went to cancel the reservation only to realize that I had booked a non-refundable rate online without realizing it. I tried explaining to the hotel that I was a frequent guest (something they could verify in their systems) and I would continue to be, but I made a mistake by not realizing what button I was clicking and I therefore would appreciate if they could refund the rate. They told me it would not be possible. They wouldnt do it for me or any other guest - which simply isnt true. My assistant then tried to reach the manager to kindly request assistance on the matter, but the manager has for several days now refused to take the call or return the call. In other words - a pretty clear message that customers, even loyal ones, dont matter in the least to them. So I will not be staying there ever again. This one nights booking will cost them approximately $4000/year in bookings I have been good for in the past. Further, it should be noted that the hotel as a whole is getting long-in-the-tooth so it is probably time to move on anyway.

While this hotel still had the W vibe in the lobby, it was more muted and once you leave the lobby the rest of the Hotel was more like a sanctuary. Molly and the rest of the front desk staff was awesome and took a personal interest bin us. The food at the restaurant was great. The neighborhood around the hotel has lots of restaurants and stores. My only gripe is they charged $6 for coffee at breakfast. Not a latte, drip coffee. They offer it free to guests who just want a cup in the morning. So, get your free coffee, then go to breakfast!!Not only did I NOT dislike my stay, I actually enjoyed it and will stay again next time Im in the area.

The gym has everything you could need for a great workout and a little outside area with extra free weights. I absolutely love the valet staff. They are friendly, efficient and just like the concierge , have great suggestions of where to go and what to do. The hotel itself is nice, location is good, and the beds are comfortable. Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positive for me. I travel a lot for work and one of the perks is staying in nice hotels. I normally stay at a different hotel in Beverly Hills but I decided to try out the pool at the W Los Angeles knowing that the weather would be so nice.Upon check-in, the woman at the front desk, Molly, was extremely rude and unhelpful to my coworker. She insisted that she couldnt check my coworker in because she didnt have a reservation. Even after I sent the email confirmation of the room being booked under my coworkers name, Molly only checked my coworker in after the manager told her to. When I came to check-in an hour later I witnessed the same front desk agent being disgustingly rude to another guest trying to check-in. I was appalled. When I confronted Molly about not checking in my coworker she was very dismissive saying it was sorted and shes all checked in now yes -- but after she had to argue with you back and forth for a very long time. The sheets on my bed werent changed and the room was absolutely freezing. Apparently, the heating wasnt working on the property at all. Then when it came to checking out nobody helped me carry my bags down all the stairs in the front. If you stay here just dont expect a luxury hotel experience. Its fine if youre looking for an average basic hotel.

The room was comfortable, although Id have appreciated an extra blanket in the room as opposed to having to request from front desk. although I thought the range of draught beers at the bar was lacking (or, at least, few available in the pool area). for the price, it would be a nice gesture to provide fresh coffee or a self-serve espresso machine in the lobby - at least in the morning. finally, as with many hotels, you need to change the wifi experience. Charging for wifi totally undermines the premium experience and adds unnecessary friction to an essential function. in 2019, most people recognise that internet access is an essential utility, so charging for it is like charging for electricity or water usage.

When I arrived at the hotel, the valet staff warmly greeted me and helped with luggage. Although a Platinum Elite member, I have never received a complimentary room upgrade at a W, although usually offered the opportunity to purchase an upgraded room, but they were very friendly and the issue seems out of their control. STK restaurant is truly an excellent steak house with a great vibe that almost everyone would enjoy! Unfortunately, I had just had surgery and didn’t feel well enough to eat, so they graciously boxed it up and I really enjoyed it later. So the next night, I just ordered my meal to go and they were fast, professional and fun to hang around during the short time it took to prepare my meal. Again, incredible! The largest, juiciest rack of lamb along with STK’s wonderful light bread bun with perfectly mixed blue cheese garlic butter. Out of this world!I joked with the staff that the property really wasn’t a W as one can see down the nicely lit hallways and fun the light switches in the room. Also, there’s not the thumping from the nightclub echoing through the room walls as often happens at several different W properties.Overall, a very pleasant experience with a staff professional enough to call me, by request, by my first name, as I always prefer. Always a well supplied minibar. The bathroom was standard for any property, nothing special and no countertop space. Standard shower/tub.Bed was incredibly comfortable with great pillows and when recovering from surgery, this was more important than ever.

This hotel is great. Customer service is excellent. Room comes with several small bottles of liquor, a tray of snacks and a refrigerator full of refreshments. Which came really in handy. I also needed safety pins so I called downstairs and they brought me several in less than 5 min. I would definitely recommend.

I booked a room close to work so that I could relax and catch up on some work without having to commute home. The room was OK and I was able to focus on my work. The room wasnt as clean as it should be, parking was valet only and $48 and when I went to pick my car up in the morning, a tire was flat. For the price, I would have expected more. Nut was OK. Restaurants and bars were nice, but I was there to work so I didnt get to enjoy.

To start on a positive note, this hotel has a great location. Other than that, I was not that impressed. I am a titanium elite member and I have stayed at multiple Marriott properties. Check in is at 3pm however we did not obtain access to our room until 4pm. You have to request to have a coffee machine in your room however they do not notify you of this at check in. We had a very nice suite on the 11th floor however the shower drain would back up while you shower and you would be standing in an inch of water. Some employees were very gracious and pleasant however a few had bad attitudes. This hotel is very expensive and I expected better. I did not eat at this property nor did I access the pool area so I am unable to comment on that. The outside of the hotel is very dated. Valet/overnight parking is roughly $48 per night. I had other smaller issues as well however I dont feel the need to address them at this time.

Great location in Beverly Hills. Staff is attentive. There is a Target and Trader Joe’s a block or two away if you need something quick. The hotel is minutes away from restaurants and attractions. Definitely worth it. The room we reserved had a master suite with a living room and meeting area, very spacious. It was enough to fit 6 people perfectly.

Enjoyed lunch out on the patio. Food was delicious, waiter was terrific. The hotel smells so good...maybe lemongrass. My cousin was staying there from NY, for work. She loved it. Usually stays somewhere else, but from now on, will stay at that W.

We checked in today, ambassador guest in a two bedroom suite for two weeks.Suite has ONE bedroom, an office with a Murphy bed and ONE bathroom. In what world is that a two bedroom suite?Talked to the front desk, very friendly but nothing rectified. Oh, but wait maybe we could pay an up charge to get into another room. Trash customer service policy.Valet is 50$ a day making Monaco look cheap and the rooms are trash.

I booked this hotel due to proximity to UCLA. Full rate, no specials applied to this reservation. I arrived after a 5 hour flight with 3 hours time zone difference. The only thing that I wanted was a good night time sleep. The room that I‘ve got is in front of the elevator. It’s a constant rumbling noise from the elevators. It’s a constant noise from the street. Also you are part of any conversation on the hallway. At midnight I called the concierge to tell them that it’s impossible to rest or sleep for a second in that room. They told me that they are aware of the problem but they have no other rooms available. They did not offer any earplugs or any other help. They told me that my room might be changed for the second and third night.

If you would like to feel as though you were a permanent resident of the Beverly Hills/ Bel Air community, stay at the W in Beverly Hills. Its like a home away from home - comfortable, upscale, sheik, and impressive. I will return this fine establishment, located centrally in a perfect spot if doing business at UCLA or just being a tourist.

We stayed at a spectacular room for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly and very helpful just like any what you would get in a 4 or 5 star hotel. However we were certainly not expecting the building is aged quite bad, elevator doors would have sound when opening at 10th level. Then we would smell something that you would only smell in a cheap motel. Normally in other W hotels, there would be perfume everywhere we go. Inside the room, we’ve noticed our sofa was sliced open in the edge and there’s no washroom fan. Drainage of washroom sink was quite bad. We’ve stayed at W Hongkong and W Taipei before and it was a totally different experience.

My wife and I have been using Pleasant for 6 months now and have had friendly, efficient, and on-time service each time. Typically we take to/from SFO and our apartment but weve also gotten a ride to/from Half Moon Bay.With rates at par with a cab and service and cleanliness well beyond - why would you not schedule a Pleasant ride?

Hotel itself is fine but unremarkable. My rate (corporate) was pretty high (NYC prices) for the state of the facilities, but thats a reflection of the market demand. Typical W vibe. Building seems like it was originally a 50s office building but later renovated into a hotel. My room windows were small. Staff: Check-in staff were nice. Poolside restaurant staff, while not the speediest, were nice as well. Room was clean and I received a Platinum upgrade. Taxi stand is right in front of hotel, so there are always cabs if you dont have your own wheels or dont want to wait for uber.Something to be aware of when staying here: Location is lacking in walkable restaurants. Surprising, given location to UCLA medical (perhaps I didnt walk in the right direction!). This means that youll have to rely on the hotel restaurant. Also note that due to a lack of local alternatives, some of the locals frequent the hotel facilities, giving the place a community rather than business hotel vibe (at least when I was there).

Front desk associate said she was giving us a room away from the elevator. She gave us 1101. To put in perspective, 1100 is the one next next next to the elevator. In other news, bed was far from category 7 quality. Far far. After night one we asked to be switched. Front desk associate said shell talk to the manager and call our room to update us, thus allowing us to not need to stand around. Guess what; she never called. Far from category 6 or 7 hotel experience.

I had a pretty quick but pleasant stay here!If youre doing anything UCLA oriented, this is a prime location. It was evident from a quick walk around that I was in the midst of a high end college town.Upon arrival I realized that I had been here before, almost a decade ago for my brothers wedding rehearsal dinner. That was my very first time in LA, so the poolside reception and the fancy stairs with waterfall effects upon entry to the lobby really wowed me.Now that Ive stayed at quite a few W Hotels over the years, I can say that this one is pretty on par with what you can expect from the brand. My room was hip and comfortable with comfort amenities that include Bliss products in the bathroom, mini bar, robe and of course, a very comfortable bed. While I didnt get a chance to explore the property much, I did note the restaurant on the lobby level which offered a complimentary coffee bar in the morning.Overall, this W Hotel provided me with the comfort and convenience I needed for a quick one night stay!

This is a nice, well located W hotel with much to offer but suffers the 1 cardinal sin of hotel that is unforgivable. Thin walls. Every morning at 6am, we were awoke by loud talking couples in the suite bedroom next to us. We were in 722. They were in 721. I asked them nicely to tone it down in the early morning but they were not self aware. Thin walls and hotels do not mix.

I stay at a lot of Ws and SPG hotels in general. The staff here is superior to nearly everywhere else Ive been. While the rooms and building in general feel a bit dated compared to some, the personal touches and attention to detail from the staff make up for it 10 fold! I cant wait to be back in September! I was there for a awards banquet for work, but got a massage just before flying back to Austin and the spa was wonderful. I really wish I would have been able to stay the day instead of going from massage table to airplane seat. Ill have to plan a getaway weekend here soon.

Ive stayed at my fair share of the SPG properties around LA, and this location is the best of the best.Location: Its in Westwood so it depends on what youre in town for, but it was a great location for me. The hotel itself is almost hard to miss when youre driving up to it, its very quiet, especially when compared to the other W location in LA.SPG recognition: As an SPG Platinum member, I know the upgrade situation can sometimes be hit and miss. My upgrade here was stellar. Christine, the Whenever/Wherever concierge took care of everything. I was moved from a standard room to an awesome lofted suite on the top floor with a great view. My stay was over my birthday and there was a bottle of champagne waiting for me when I checked in.Pool: The pool area is a little small but when I was there during the week, I was the only one out there. Very nice/quiet.Food: I only ate at the restaurant by the pool but it was very good. Try the lobster BLT. The Turkey sandwich is good too.All in all, my stay was excellent. Ill definitely be coming back.

If i could do a zero star review, i would. this has been by far the worst experience i have ever had at a hotel. we arrived at 2:30 after our long day of traveling. the man tells us our room will be ready in 30 minutes to an hour, and they told us we would get a call when the room is ready. it was around 5:30 and we still haven’t gotten a call. we went back to the hotel because our son had a fever, and we needed to get our bags and have him rest in the room. our you room was still not completely ready after 3 hours. we finally get into our room and when i tell you i was shocked, i was very shocked. we had booked the “spectacular suite”. this room had two tiny double beds, windows that were blocked off, and our heat didn’t even work. our son had a fever, so he got a bed to himself, but my other son had no where to sleep. we called and tried to order a cot but we weren’t allowed to because the room didn’t accommodate that. the staff are very kind and helpful, but the check in staff are a different story. please, please, please. if you are looking for a relaxing, fun trip to la, or you are going for business, don’t let this hotel ruin your experience like it ruined ours.

What should have been a pleasant stay did not turn out that way due to a number of issues, of which, only one was resolved. Given the Ws reputation, I expected so much more and given the location, perhaps, expected too much. Being in Beverly Hills for the first time, with my family, we were met with a poor quality room, a concierge who was barely there and a series of issues that were it not for my family being there would have made for a very bad first time in LA. Days without air conditioning and our only relief was a fan. Dimly lit room with a view of the building, and non-functioning items in the room. For what its worth, Ive stayed at various flagship hotels in the past and this was a truly disappointing experience. Were it not for the restaurant and pool area, this trip could have been significantly worse.

It’s a solid W with nice common spaces and generous room sizes. The rooms need some upkeep and staff follow through was spotty. However there were also some talent team members that were great like Cole. There is no spa and while the pool area is nice it’s pretty small. The restaurants for breakfast and dinner are both features of the property and elevate the experience. A refresh of the rooms including new bathtubs would push this to a top contending W.

The manager did our check in. Unfortunately she recorded our first day as Monday instead Sunday. At the check out on Wednesday, they said youre supposed to leave Thursday (because of the managers mistake). We tried to explain (that was tough) and they said ok, you can leave now and well do your check out tomorrow, youll receive the final bill by e-mail. 2 months later and many e-mails from us, we received the bill. Guess what, the price was more than what the manager said... Furthermore, the room had no heat (broken)

I stayed in their massive suite for a couple nights with a friend. We were happy to see that there was an additional pull-out bed in the office area. It was only that night where we figured out that there were no sheets for the extra bed. I ended up having to sleep on the couch, which wasnt as bad of a backup plan as I expected, but it was still disappointing to see that there werent any sheets for the extra bed.If you plan on having room service, be careful to note the fine print so you dont double-tip, and leave enough time for the food to be brought up. We ordered three plates of food, and it took more than 40 minutes before we received any of it. The food was great, but the wait was too long for the price paid. Aside from that, when the AC refused to turn off during the day, it took three calls over the course of four hours before anyone was sent up to look at it.The view from the room was amazing at night. I enjoyed sitting at the dining table and looking out over the city to wind down for bed. There are a few local restaurants within walking distance, and many of the fancier restaurants are within a 15 minute drive, and Hollywood Blvd is right around the corner from there.I still really enjoyed the room. It was clean, modern, and the open floor layout left nothing to be desired.
